Deletion of Skype accounts/ removal from directory...

I'm not really interested in using Skype anymore and I somehow wound up with two screen names - [redacted] and [redacted] . Is there a way to delete my accounts manually?

afaik, all users can use the email support option. But as you said you can not use that facility, send an email to their generic email address instead - [email protected]

Deleting my Skype account... not possible!

I want to delete my Skype account. The reasons are many, but the main reason is that it simply doesn't work; I can't install the program, Skype claims I don't have internet connection (but how can I be here then!?), and it's utterly impossible to get in contact with support (only numerous FAQ sites). I have no more patience! I don't want to waste more time here.
But getting out of the claws of Skype/Microsoft/Google is not that easy...
When I search for 'delete my account' it says that I can remove all my personal information in my profile, so that people can't contact me (as I can't download the Skype program there is no risk of that!). But no, I can't delete my name, my email, my country and press 'save'. It wants me to fill out the fields again! So, at the end, my name, email etc. will forever and ever be kept at Skype. Deleting or even changing my account is apparently not an option.
I know my harsh words will not delete my account - when I am dead and gone the account will still remain.
Only I hope this will prevent others from creating an account - they have to know that their membership of Skype will last forever...

Do you wish assistance, or as stated in this instruction, 'Can I delete my Skype account?' , to request your account be removed from the search directory? Having read both of your posts, I am confused. Please clarify.
I have run into this same problem when making amendments to my profile details. Please try changing your profile settings from within the Skype software rather than signing on from the website.
Please advise; I am subscribed to both of your threads.

Deleting old skype accounts

Hi I have a huge dilemma. My dad has had me create various skype accounts for him over time and now he wants to delete all but the one he remembers the password to. He wants me to figure out how to do this for him but when I go on the solutions forum it mentions logging into the account with your known password and deleting the account from the inside which defeats the whole purpose here. How do we just delete the account from the outside- like right click delete or someone we can email? He just needs one account. Please help!!!

Your dad could (or you could, if he provides his password to you) sign in to the Skype website and request all of the other accounts be removed. Skype does not provide a single-click "delete my account" facility as you describe; the accountholder must file the request with Skype Customer Service.
Skype does not use a central or general e-mailbox; instead, we use the web-form as also explained here: 'Can I delete my Skype account?'

I need to delete my skype account ASAP by deleting...

Hi. For some reason someone has found my ip address via Skype directory and now I am constantly being ddos'ed so I need to delete this account for security purposes immediately.
This is really important because now my entire house's internet is affected by this I really need to get this fix and I cannot afford to wait any longer, I was told to use the support area text chat but this message provided:

I'm not sure it would remove your IP off resolver sites. Maybe use a proxy to change the last used IP?

When skype asked me to change my pasword, it said that I have now 7 skype accounts. I made them on older computers. I only need one of them, and want to delete all the old ones, so that if people are trying to find me, they only see my current account.How do I proceed? thanks

I want to delete my skype accounts

I have 3 skype accounts in total. The first one was made through facebook but when I tried to log in to that account it seemed that I had somehow accidentally made another skype account. As a result I couldn't log in to the first one. Since this kept on happening I made a seperate skype account and unlinked the other two skype accounts.
It showed that the accounts have been closed but it still appears in the search box and that's causing a lot of confusion. Can you please tell me how to permanently delete those account.
To make it worse I can't even log in to those accounts.
Any way to close down these accounts?

You will need to contact Skype Customer Service to request the acccounts be removed from the search directory. Please note, you will be asked to verify that you are indeed the rightful "owner" of the accounts in question.

Here are a few extra notes to guide you along the way ...
You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. Delete one Skype account on LG TV

How can I remove/delete one account from LG TV? I have signed-in with 5-6 Skype accounts, some of them I dont use any more, how can I delete it? tx

LG are currently rolling out the Skype App worldwide, in a phased rollout. I am trying to get detailed information from LG to post here when I have it. THe camera which is compatible with the 2012 TV is the ANVC-400 and this should be available in markets where the app has been made available.
