DelimitedData and the Chinese language

Hi,
When I use the following parameter string in my url, the report opens up nicely in Excel format in the browser.
...&desformat=delimiteddata&mimetype=application/vnd.ms-excel&destype=cache...
The problem is that the column headers do not show up in Chinese.
If I generate this same report in pdf format, the Chinese words are there.
The table column names are in English but the alias names used in the query are in Chinese. The headers in the report definition are also expressed in Chinese.
Anybody out there having experience from this?

Hi
The master language for a Smartforms is the language used while was creating, so your logon language.
Now when the smartform is called the system load all texts of the masterlanguage, but in the CONTROL_PARAMETERS parameter of function module generated by sf, you can indicate other languages:
LANGU       -
Master Language
REPLANGU1   -
Second Language
REPLANGU2   -
3°     Language
REPLANGU3   -
4°     Language
If field LANGU is empty (here you can transfer the comunication language), master language is the smartform language.
The system'll try to print the text for language stored in LANGU, if there isn't it'll try to print the text in language stored in REPLANGU1 and so...
If the smartform isn't translate it'll always use the master langue of sf.

  • Importing the Chinese language

    Hello colleagues,
I have a problem with importing the Chinese language into the customer's system.
Setup: classic 3 system landscape ECC 6.0 on Windows X64 / SQL Server 2005. Defined clients on development: 302 & 303, acceptance: 200 & production: 100. Required languages: English, German & Chinese.
Importing English & German caused no problems. At first, importing the Chinese language seemed to be ok as well, but apparently their are some "missing" parts in the customer clients. Missing is not the right word, because I supplemented the Chinese language with English so that these missing parts appear in English when logged on in language ZH.
Now I found out that the Chinese translation for some of these parts does exist in client 000, for example the description of the different views in transaction MM03. I've checked table T133B and saw that for client 000 and language 1 (Chinese) the real Chinese translations were there. For client 302 or 303 and language 1, the descriptions are in English...
My question: how can I replace the current (supplemented) English translations in the customer clients with the "real" Chinese translations that exist in client 000? I've tried every available option in transaction SMLT (basic supplementation, expert supplementation, nsrefill, ...) but to no avail: the English texts are still there...
Thank you for your help and best regards,
    Steven

Solved it by re-importing the entire language pack in client 000.

I'm not sure where you see that the links I gave suggested that. The iPhoto link (quoted below) in step 4 suggests dragging the library to the new location. You can do that in Finder by dragging the library to the external disk in the Finder sidebar. If you don't have a sidebar in Finder, go to the Finder View menu and click Show Sidebar. If the external disk isn't visible in the sidebar, go to the Finder Preferences, click Sidebar at the top of the Preferences window, and put a checkmark in front of External disks in the Devices section.
You can move your entire iPhoto library to a different computer, a hard disk, or another location on your computer.
Important:    Before you move your iPhoto library, it’s a good idea to back it up to a DVD or external hard disk.
    Move your iPhoto library
If you’ve created multiple photo libraries, be sure to move only the library currently displayed when iPhoto is open. To move a different library, you first need to switch to it.
    Quit iPhoto.
In the Finder, choose your home folder (it’s usually named after you).
Open the Pictures folder (in the home folder) to locate the iPhoto Library file.
Drag the iPhoto Library file to a new location on your computer.
    Open iPhoto.
In the window that appears, select the library you want, and then click Choose.

  • Where do I download the Chinese language pack for Snow Leopard?

I need to be able to write simplified Chinese.

There is no need to download anything.  Go to system preferences/language & text/input sources and check the box for the Chinese IM you want to use, plus the box for Show Input Menu in Menu Bar.  Then select Chinese in the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen and type.

  • Smartforms and the master language

I defined the invoice as a smartform document.
The master language is english and i set the language attributes to "Do not translate" and the access to "Restricted language control".
The document shall always be printed in english independant of the communication language of the bill-to party.
As far as i know from Sapscript the system will use the document in the master language, if the communication language does not exist. Nevertheless all standards text included (without a fix language parameter ) in the sapscript form will be selected/read in the communication language. ( F.e.: Because the communication language of the bill-to party is german, all standard text of the invoice will be created in german. )
How can i realize this in Smartforms?

  • Application Manager and the wanted language interface

I am a very oldtimer with Adobe and Photoshop. I was brought up in the States and Worked for US Corp's. Before CS6 I always installed an English Interface. Now, Adobe application Mgr is in French eventhough I requested and insisted in using the US connections from start! How can I get a US version running? The CS6 is in French and only offers one interface in the pulldown menus (preferences). My Lightroom is in English and I want everything in English. Thanks PdeRumine

Which operating system are you using?  Also you can check the language selection in the Adobe Application Manager.  If you click on your name and go to Preferences there will be an option to choose your language there.
This may not resolve your issue though which is why I need to know which operating system you are using before giving any additional instructions.

I would greatly appreciate if someone can give me a hand in solving this problem. Thank you for your help in advance.

  • Script Chinese Language not properly emailing and Prinitng

    Hi Gurus,
Remittances are created with spools. Problem is Chineese RMAs Form is showing properly in Spool, but when e-mailed to user in PDF format attachment and prints of RMAs are diferent?
Some chineese are showing correctly in PDF attachment and prints?
Custom device type is used with character set 8434. Could anybody help me in this regard?

    Hi Raju,
Let me explain what is actually happening.
In your case the SAP system is using the code page 8434 for rendering, storing and processing Chinese language.
But when you send the same characters via mail to someone these particular characters are not rendered as the code page used is not used in the Email provider. Moreover note that these characters were fine in SAP spool.
That is the reason SAP highly recommends for going for Unicode system.
I think if you try out character set 4103 which is Unicode code page. These Chinese characters would be rendered fine when you email or exchange the data.
Get back in case of any other queries.
    Cheers
    Ajay

  • Chinese language support for the 8120?

Does anyone know how to add Chinese language (pinyin input) support to the 8120 pearl?
    Thanks

Ive been working on the Chinese language input issue for about a day now and have found it very frustrating.  Im not sure why there seems to be so little support for this and an absence of this feature in the included software.  I know for a fact that these are sold in chinese speaking markets.  I think its a real failure on the part of BB and will probably be returning mine infavor of another product.

  • How can i reveal the chinese on iTunes?

hey, thanks for your attention first, i have read alot on this topic before i have a post of my own. but none have come to a solution to my problem. so here it is, i'm using a MicrosoftXP OS, and i see the name of the file as 相逢(2chinese characters), but when i right click the music and select properties and on summary page the title shows "Ïà·ê" which is unreadable. When i put that music file into itune, it shows Ïà·ê instead of 相逢. i have this problem for quite some time.
if anyone wants to suggest me to go to:
    http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/handson/user/xpintlsupp.mspx
it doesnt work. i have done everything there.
i even downloaded lots of trial version of chinese input programe. eg. njstar, chinese reader, etc.. these programes allows me to read chinese in itune but not really changing it, because when i plug my ipod on, the ipod still shows those unreadable letters..
Anyone have a solution to this? million thankz to the person that can help me. thank you very much on spending your time here.
    Windows XP MSI motherboard.
      Windows XP

alright, i have read all the articles and all the solution given. it still doesnt work. i'm not sure why all my friends got his song nicely in chinese(the same file), whereas mine is in unreadable letters. I downloaded ConvertZ, and used it. the first one it says unable to convert and then the second time i manage to get it convert, however it convert to the same file as before and it still have the same problem. i think the problem for me in convertZ is that COnvertZ only convert the title, but not the composition in it. is there still any advise on how to get it fix?
    here are my problem:
-the name of the file is 相逢(2chinese character).
-when i right click on the file and on summary page it shows that title is "Ïà·ê" and comment is "Mobile Suit GUNDAM¾ç³¡°æ ¢ó~".
-when i convert the file using convertZ it just changes the file name insteed of title. (itunes takes title instead of file name)
-i have enable the chinese language on my pc.
-but some chinese song on itune does appear.
thank you for all the help before. i dont think its anything to do with myipod or itune. it more like windows problem. but is there any help that i can reach to? thank you very much. more advise will be appreciated.

  • Error in Chinese language translation In Forms....

We have our application based on Oracle and d2k.

  • Chinese language pack on English-language Nokia E7...

I'm based in Manila and just bought a Nokia E72 cellphone here locally in the Philippines. The unit is labeled E72-1.
I needed a cellphone which can display Chinese-language (both Traditional & Simplified Chinese) characters.
Unfortunately, this E72 I bought here only has the English language.
I've read that the Nokia E72 in Hong Kong / Taiwan / Singapore can display both English and Chinese language.
Is it possible to have the Nokia E72 add a Chinese language pack to display Chinese characters? I really need the Chinese display capability since I regularly have contacts who send me important SMS messages with Chinese characters.
If it's not possible to add the Chinese character display capability, I may be forced to let go of this Nokia E72 and perhaps have to order it instead from Hong Kong (or perhaps Taiwan or Singapore) where I presume the Nokia E72 there will have the English + Chinese display capability built-in.
Although not as important as the Chinese-display capability, I would also like if it could have Chinese language input capability installed on this E72. Is this also possible?
Note that I don't need the phone system menus/commands to be displayed in Chinese language (and actually prefer them to be English language). I only need the phone to display/input Chinese characters in the SMS messages.
Please advise so that I can make a decision as soon as possible, whether to let go of this locally-bought E72 with only English language and instead procure a unit from abroad with the Chinese language display (and input) capability.

I'd like to add some more information which may or may not be exactly useful for those who have the same issue as mine:
Adding as much Chinese as possible on the E72 without Chinese language pack:

Mobile dictionary language packages Translate words into the language of your choice. Add new languages to your pre-installed Mobile dictionary application from Mobile dictionary download page >>Text-to-Speech language packages and voice packages
Let your phone read your messages out loud with Text-to-speech, a tool which allows you to listen to text messages, multimedia messages, and emails. To utilize your Message Reader application download language packages and voice packages at the Text-to-speech page >>
    1) Using the above page, one can download Chinese dictionary (Traditional and Simplified Chinese versions available).
It seems that after installing both dictionaries for the Mobile Dictionary application, I can fire up the Mobile Dictionary app and choose Target language to Traditional and Simplified Chinese.  The Traditional Chinese characters don't seem to display (some characters display while others are "square boxes"; but the Simplified Chinese characters appear to display correctly.)
So, it appears that the dictionary app can display Chinese characters (at least Simplified Chinese) after installing, although the SMS messages still display "square boxes" where there are Chinese characters.
    2) Download Chinese [Mandarin] (or Chinese [HK]) language text-to-speech.  Now even though the E72 doesn't display Chinese characters (they show up as square boxes), I can use the msg reader to read those "square boxes" messages and it will read them in Chinese.  So at least, that's one way of having Chinese read back to you although the characters themselves can't be displayed.  (Set Language Detection to "On" in the Speech settings so it automatically recognizes Chinese; or one could also set the Voice Language to Mandarin Chinese so that even the voice prompts are read in Mandarin Chinese -- however, if Language Detection is set to "Off", it will try to read English SMS messages as per Chinese pinyin -- ie. incorrectly.).
One bug I notice is that for Chinese character email messages (Nokia Messaging). If I set my Language to English, but set the Speech setting of Language Detection to "On", and then activate the "Listen/Read" email messages, then the Msg Reader will hang up the phone. I had to use a utility called JBakTaskman to forcefully close Msg Reader (if don't have JBakTaskman, then have to turn off the phone and turn it back on).  So it looks like while the Language Detection can auto-detect Chinese characters in SMS messages and read them properly in Chinese, it seems to hang up in Email Messages.
