  • Consignment Deliveries: Handling Unit Changes to Non Assigned HU

    Hell Experts,
We are having an issue with the consigment deliveries. After doing the PGI, the handlling unit assignment changes to Non Assigned Handlling Unit.
    Situation Before PGI:
    VEKP-VBOBJ = 01
    VEKP-VBOBLKEY = <Delivery Number>
After PGI: (Movement Type Used is 631)
    VEKP-VBOBJ = 12 (Non Assigned handlling Unit)
    VEKP-VBOBJKEY = <Delivery Number>
The handlling unit is assigned to the delivery but the field VBOBJ changes to 12. We could see the handlling unit in the delivery but the assignement is not 01. Logically, the field VBOBJ should be 01. (Because we are able to see these HU in delivery).
If I reverse the PGI, then VBOBJ again changes to 01. Also, if I pack all the material into one HU and leave another HU empty then after PGI, VBOBJ for empty HU is 01 but for packed HU it is 12 (with VBOBJKEY = Delivery Number)
I don't know why the assignment is 12? Are we missing anything?
    Thanks,

are u already solved this issue ? can u please tell me how to solve it ? and I  why the assignment turns into 12 ?
    thanks
    regards
    Henny

  • Auto PGI for only deliveries which contain a Handling Unit

It is possibe to setup automatic post goods issue when confirming the transfer order using :-
IMG menu path:  Logistics - Execution - Warehouse Management - Interfaces - Shipping - Define Shipping Control - Define Shipping Control at the Movement Type Level
Mvt type 601 - setting Copy WM Quantity to option '4' -i.e.  auto PGI
However this would then work when confirming  transfer orders for ALL outbound deliveries.
I only require auto PGI to work for deliveries containing Handling Units.
Is this possible ?  I imagined it might involve cloning mvt type 601 to another mvt type which would then be used
    specifically for handling units.
    Regards.
    Phil.

Thanks for the reply, using VL06G in background is an option.
Is another possible option to use a Special Movement Indicator ?
WM mvt typ 601 could be copied to a new one e.g. 610.  The interfaces table could then be setup so that Ref mvt type 601
with a Special Movement Indicator points to WM mvt type 610.
The issue I have is that I don't want to set the Special Movement Indicator on the Material Master (WM 1 view).
I know it is possible to define the Special Movement Indicator within MIGO as a default setting.
Is there something similar within the Outbound delivery ?
    Regards.
    Phil.

  • Pack two or more Outbound Deliveries into the one Handling Unit

    Hi Gurus,
I'd like to, sometimes, pack two or more Outbound Deliveries into the one Handling Unit, can anyone please advise how this can be achieved.
      Thanks in advance

    Hi Simon,
there's no way you can do that, the HU is owned by the delivery, so the relationship is one to one.
In order to be able to pack items coming from multiple deliveries into the same HU/HUs you'll have to use Shipments: basically a shipment is made of deliveries and HUs are owned by the shipment, that way you would be able to achieve your result.
    Pls. reward if useful.

  • Updating deliveries with handling unit

    Hi Guru’s,
Good afternoon all of you. Let me share my problem with all of you. I am modifying some deliveries through VL02N with pick quantity and handling unit to zero. I am modifying all most all 500 to 1500 deliveries daily right now and they may increase. All this procedure is done manually. Requirement is client wants all this procedure automatically. So I would like to ask you that is there any function module for updating the delivery with the modified picking quantity and handling unit? Please suggest me how can I approach? I am not asking entire logic. Just I want is it possible and is there any FM? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Waiting for your valuable replies.
    Regards,
    Ravi.

    Ravi,
It is good that the Handling unit is static. Is the Picking quantity Dynamic? If so, are they available somewhere in the system prior to you manually populating them in the delivery document?

  • Deliveries with Handling Unit

    Hi guys,
I'm trying to set up an AII and an OER systems that are able to cater to deliveries that contain Handling Unit.  Do any of you have any idea how is this possible?  I'm not exactly sure but I'm guessing some kind of add-on needs to be installed since there isn't any option to configure HU in AII and OER.  Thanks a lot for the help!

  • More than one deliveries into a single handling unit

    Hello,
We are a retail apparel company and use SAP to communicate delivery requirements for our stores.  We would like the ability to consolidate our deliveries into a single handling unit.  This will help reduce freight and will simplify our receiving process in our retail stores.
For example, many customers pre-order merchandise that will be received into our distribution center and then shipped to a Retail store for customer pickup.  We would like to consolidate mutliple orders going to the same place so that they can be packed into a single box.  Each customer request results in an order being created and the box that the order is packed in is the SAP handling unit.  The issue we have is that if 10 customers request the same merchandise, it is easier to pack the 7 units into a single handling unit (i.e. box) than to pack 7 boxes.
I do realise that the handling unit table VEKP can hold only 1 delivery object (i.e. VPOBJKEY), however I'm hoping that someone can highlight possible options for us to simplify our shipping process.
    thanks in advance
    RJ
if we need to utilize shipments, is someone able to walk through what setup steps would be required.

    Dear RJ,
You may use WAVE concept in WM in order to accomplish the requirement.
A wave is group of deliveries that can be combined into one order based upon the customer number.
For example: If you have 10 different orders from customer XYZ and you may consolidate the all sales orders in one single order and then create a WAVE for that.
    Thanks,
    Babu.

  • List of Inbound Deliveries with handling units

I am looking for standard report where i can get the list of inbound deliveries with handling units linked to them.
I saw VL06I but could not get the details.
    Regards
    Sameer

I think only HUMO (tab: "Assignment to objects") is the transaction in which you can get a list with IBD no. and HU no. However, the selection screen is not be the best...
In VL06I you also have the handling units ("List Inbound Deliveries" button) both on selection screen and in the report.
Please carefully read OSS notes 368917 and 122282 about this.

You may need to create packing instructions so that the correct packaging material is assigned within the delivery
Within packing instructions you need to create an instruction and then assign it

  • Handling Units in Inbound deliveries

    Dear All,
Could you please let me know what is the complete SAP process for HUM in Goods reciept with and without WM. We are recieving the  Boxes containing various combinations of configurable material from the Supplier and the same are being delivered to the Customer sites. Kindly let us know the Standard SAP solution to tackle this.
    Thanks a ton,
    Regards,
    KS

    Hello KS,
The inbound process with Handling unit is as follow:
    - Purchase order is created with Shipping Notification
    - The vendor notifies the goods recipient of the delivery of the goods by using a shipping notification that also contains the packaging data.
    - The shipping notification generates an inbound delivery that includes the packing information from the shipping notification. (Incase NO EDI notification, the inbound delivery must be created and packed manually for the purchase order.)
    - The handling units are put away and the inbound delivery is posted for goods receipt.
    Hope this helps.

  • Goods Issuing Many Materials From a Single Handling Unit

    Hi Experts!
I have searched threads and asked various contacts how to do this but can't get anything beyond the basics of handling units that we have already implemented.
I am using handling units to pack outbound deliveries and have managed to get to the point where the packaging material is goods issued, however when the product is packed we use (for example)
    - a box
    - a label
    - some sealing tape
    - some ink etc
and I want to be able to goods issue all the items involved not just a single packing unit - does anyone know how to do this?
(I have looked at multi level packing e.g. put a product in a box and 10 boxes onto a pallet, but this would only goods issue the box and the pallet)
    Thanks in advance!
    Simon.

    Hi,
I am using packing instructions set up in POP1 and assigned to a customer via POF1 to pack a number of products into a box. The box (packing material) is inventory managed so when the delivery is created and a plant assigned to the handling units it creates an extra line on the delivery that can be post goods issued. We have auot packing set up on the delivery type I am using. This works fine.
My question is that the above set up only post goods issues one of the items used in packing my finished products (in this case a cardboard box), I am  trying to find a way of goods issuing other packing materials at the same time such as packing placed with the product inside the box, the tape used to seal the box and the label that we will put on the side of the box.
I think that it would be possible to use a process order and complete the activity in PP and use a Bill Of Materials, however I want to see if I can take advantage of the automatic packing functions.
I hope that this makes sense.
    Regards,
    Simon.

  • How to inventory packing material on Handling Units frm Inbound Del @ PO?

I am receiving raw material against a PO via VL31N, where I pack into handling units. When I post GR for this inbound delivery, the Raw Material is getting a 101 but the packaging material is not being considered. Is there a way I can get the packaging material into inventory? I did verify the following settings as suggested in a different post here and yet the Packing materials are not considered. Any help is appreciated.
    1. there is a plant in your HU (you can control this in your packing material type in transaction VHAR; set plant determination either to A or B).
    2. there is an item category in your HU (you can control this in transaction 0184; create the following entry: EL / VERP / PACK / / ELP. If you now create an inbound delivery type EL and your packing material has item category group VERP the system will assign item category ELP to your HU.
If both requirements are met the system will generate an item in your inbound delivery after packing.
Then make sure that the item category of the HU (ELP for example) has movement type 501 assigned to it in transaction 0VLP.
If you then post the GR for your inbound delivery, the packing material will be posted on stock.

    Hello,
    It is well described in:
[Note 831204 - Delivery items for packaging materials|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/831204]
    pay atention on this prerequisit
For the relevant delivery types the 'ItemRequirement' routines

  • IDOC DELVRY03 (WHSCON) create Handling Units

    Hi,
I am creating an inbound delivery from an IDoc.
I now want to have the items packed on the delivery.
Therefore the HU's need to be suitably created and packed into for the items.
From investigating, SAP states use the 'WHSCON for creation of Handling Units for deliveries'.  Refer OSS note 792726.
Can somebody please point me in the correct direction for performing this.
So far all I have managed to find is that EXIDV needs to be present, which is the HU, which I do not have.  Unless I am missing some fundamental point that SAP has not pointed out to me yet
As far as a BDC goes for packing, use the Single Entry tab, on VL32N anyway.
I have a BDC to do this, so can fall back to that, but it would be preferred to create the delivery and then pack it right away, whilst creating/posting the IDocs.  The IDocs also provide tracking in case things go wrong, etc, hence, prefer the workflow rather than have another program to run, etc etc.
    Thanks
    Justin Mortlock

    Hi,
Check out the qualifier in the E1EDL41 segment.
It has following qualifiers. In your IDOC you should be having 002???!!!.
If so update the mapping with the 003 qualf at the middleware/translator level.

  • Automatic creation of TO's for Handling Unit Inbound Delivery -del type HID

    Hi Guru's,
I would like to create the putaway TO's for a Handling Unit inbound delivery automatically (delivery type HID). This means at the moment of the creation of the Inbound Delivery. The packing is also automatically done by the customizing of the delivery type. Did somebody faced this requirement before?
    Thx,
    Carl

    I found the solution:
Choose Customizing activity Define Output Types for Inbound Delivery, and define output type WMTA. Enter the following values in the detail view of output type WMTA under General Data:
Enter an existing Access sequence. Access sequence 0001 is predefined in the standard system.
Set the indicator Access to conditions.
    Set the indicator Partner-indep. output.
    Save your entries.
In the menu tree, choose the entry Processing Routines in the Customizing activity Define Output Types, and enter the following values:
Choose entry 8 (special function) for the indicator Transmission Medium.
Enter RLAUTA20 in the field Program.
Enter ENTRY in the field Form Routine.
    Save your entries.
Choose the Customizing activity Maintain Output Determination Procedure.
Define a procedure and enter the output type WMTA in the control view of the procedure. The procedure E10001 is predefined in the standard system.
To define a suitable condition record for inbound deliveries,
choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Master Data ->
Messages -> Inbound Delivery -> Create from the SAP menu.
    Enter the output type WMTA.
Enter output medium 8 (special function) for delivery type Inbound Delivery.
    Select the desired Date/Time.
    Select the desired Language.
    Cheers,
    Carl

  • Handling unit preventing deletion of inbound delivery

    Hello,
Our Decentralized WMS had a glitch in the system that left several
idocs queued to create inbound deliveries. These deliveries have
associated handling units which were placed from the outbound delivery
to the inbound.  Before the inbound deliveries could be created via XI,
users created manual inbound deliveries against the POs and PGRed.
When the Decent WMS glitch was addressed, the IDOCs submitted were
processed, creating inbounds with handling units that were completely
    packed.
So our system contains 2 inbounds for a po.  We would like to delete the one with with the handling unit, but it's not that simple.
To address this issue, it is necessary to remove the handling units,
but this isn't possible.  We receive an error message, unable to change.
I've attempted to PGR the delivery but this isn't possble either.
the following error message is received.
    MSSA-SATRA exceeded by 2 EA : 10004063 AA26 0001 E
How can these Handling units be deleted to allow the associated inbound
deliveries to be deleted as well?
Is there a program to modify the status of the handling unit?  I do not
want to perform any table editing or goods movements unless there are
    no other alternatives
