Delivers ibot

hi all,
When we add a particular user for any ibot report and run it ,it is failing.
*Error:[nQSError: 77006] Oracle BI Presentation Server Error: A fatal error occurred while processing the request. The server responded with: Invalid item name () -- not allowed to be empty*
Error Codes: UFGUIEZK
If the same ibot is run for other user it run successfully.
Also we had cross checked the user profile with other users there is no issue with user profile.
Anyone can help me.

does your SMTP server relay messages to [email protected] when its is not OBIEE sending them? (do you have another application you can test it with)+
dude, I tried test with BI Publisher(Scheduler) and then a similiar error.

Man, I think the message error is because miss some configuration that I don't did. And not because the server email. What you think?

OBI EE Delivers - iBot running..never ends

Hi all,
I installed OBI EE and followed all of the instructions to set up Scheduler, Job Manager and so on.
I was able to submit an iBOT "immediately", setting as destination DASHBOARD,
but in Job Manager the submitted iBOT remains "running" forever,
therefore the "Alerts" link never appears in the dashboard.
I also looked at the database sessions, but I cannot see any active session related to the iBOT.
I even gave DBA privilege to the S_NQ_SCHED database user,
but it seems to be useless.
I also started the Oracle Job Scheduler service (my pc o.s. is Windows XP)
but it does not help.
Any clue ?

But when I view them they all have the same email address.
But in the SA_SYSTEM_USER table I have 3 completely different email address/records.

Instead, I get 3 emails listed, but when I view them they are the same one.
Again, assistance would be appreciated.

Delivers: iBots failing with message "No devices for user: "

All,
My iBots were working fine until Sunday morning when they started failing with the message;

I have my users set up with e-mails in the SA System tables and nothing has chanced - the ibots were delivering fine on Satuday night and failing on Sunday morning. During that time there were no configuration changes.
Can anyone please shed some light on what's going on here? I have a lot of extremely frustrated business users wondering where their reports are!

Update: I have found that for some reason, no user has an Active Delivery profile any more. Under "Delivery Options" of "My Account" it's blank.
Why would this change, and how do I add this info back in for all my users?

Delivers iBots - one report run individual employees activities

Hi I am trying to setup an iBot to do the following.
We have a report that runs all employees activities that are to do or overdue. This is prompted on a dashboard at team level.
We want to "cache" the report on a morning so it runs quickly. Is there a way for iBots to run all the employees names beginning with "a", then "b" then "c" by using one report. When we run everything it fails due to a cube generation error as the pivot can't hold all the informaton in one go.
Currently we have had to create about 15 reports that run "a" to "g" employees etc. Then create 15 iBots to run them.

IBot Chaining in OBIEE 10g Delivers

Hello Experts,
I'm trying to utilize Delivers/iBot Scheduler to create the following scenario:
I have 5 iBots and I want to create an 'iBot Chain' that starts another iBot once the original iBot has finished e.g.
1) iBot 1 starts at 10:00AM, finishes at 10:05AM
2) iBot 2 starts at 10:05AM , only after ibot 1 has finished. iBot 2 finishes at 10:10AM
3) iBot 3 starts at 10:10AM, only after iBot 2 has finishes
etc etc
I've tried creating this scenario by going into iBot 1 - > Advanced Tab -> Add Action -> iBot but iBot 2 is not starting as planned.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish the above scenario?

I have plenty of suggestions, but have no idea which ones apply to you. Don't make it hard for us (i.e, make us describe in detail every step that must be done, what to check, etc.). Rather, give us all your settings. Then we can look at it and tell you what you might be missing or doing wrong.

Ibot Delivers

Hi,
I followed all the configuration steps mentioned in the venkat's blog(http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2007/09/13/oracle-bi-ee-10133-configuring-delivers-ibots/). I could able to save the ibots and all the services are up as well. But I am not able to see the alerts in my dashboard. I check for the error in the job manager, it showed me following error

How to send report using OBI EE Delivers to NON-OBI EE users

Help!!!
I have followed all the instructions posted.
I have setup SA Systems.
Delivers / iBots works using our SA_SYSTEM_USERS table.
Yes, I have the column names correct.
Yes, have setup the iBot correct.
I have a list of 4 users. 2 users are vaild OBI EE users.
The other 2 users do NOT have a OBI EE login. We do not want them to have an OBI EE login.
When I execute the iBot the 2 users recieve their email.
I have debug turned on... Here is are my error messages.

I must be missing something? A configuration setup?
Remember, I can successfully send reports from SA Systems for 2 valid OBIEE users. It is the 2 users that are in SA System but do not have a login to OBI EE.

One more point, When I am providing Administrator password in Job manager that time I am not able to save my Ibot but when I left that password blank in the
Job manager I am bale to save but not able to run & getting above authentication error.

Is this issue because of user id (Administrator) that I have provided in Scheduler, general tab? can we provide same user id /pwd (Administrator/Administrator)tht we use for our RPD?
Or do I need to create another user with Admin priviledges?

Cannot save Ibot - Error message as insufficient buffer space

Hi,
I am trying to implement the ibots and I have followed the step by step procedure as in

Now when I create an Ibot and try to save it, I get the message as
Oracle BI Scheduler Error: [nQSError: 12008] Unable to connect to port 25 on machine xxx.xx.xx.xx [nQSError: 12002] Socket communication error at call=recv: (Number=10055) An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full.
Can anyone let me know what this error corresponds to and how this can be fixed?

Sounds like some memory issue or some network problem. Check to make sure you telnet to port 25 of SMTP server from the command line.

Delivers for seeding cache with special topology

Hi gurus,
I have a special deployment: the Presentation Server, and JavaHost (let's say it has ipNumber54 ) is one machine, and the BI Server and the BI Scheduler are installed within other machine (let's say ipNumber56 ).

I've noticed they are working with IPv6 and all of them are Windows Server 2008 Enterprise working with a SQL Server Database placed in other different machine.

I answer myself and I'll tell you that was a problem of the Windows Firewall.
The machine can be listening on a port that is cut "afterwards" by the Firewall.

Getting errors while running cryptotools utility while creating iBOTS.

I am getting the following error while while running the cryptotools utility from the command prompt.

Basically i am not able to get the point numbr 6 in this blog i.e where do i make the schedulere port entry : -
Open your instanceconfig.xml and add in the scheduler details. This step basically lets the presentation server know about the machine and port details of the scheduler. By default the scheduler port is 9705.
Please help me to add the scheduler port in the instanceconfig.xml .

The fix to this is fairly straightforward.
You have input an incorrect path for the -infile parameter when calling cryptotools.
You entered , -infile OracleBIData_HOME/web/config/credentialstore.xml
when it should be, -infile C:\OracleBI\web\config\credentialstore.xml , depending on the absolute physical path to the credentialstore.xml file.
It looks like you were attempting to use either a Nix (unix/linux) path with the forward slashes or you where trying to use a environment variable for "OracleBIData_Home". I can see from the c:\ that you are on a Windows machine so the Nix path won't work. Also if you are attempting to use an environment variable that you have confirmed is indeed set, then you need to use %OracleBIData_HOME% in the command prompt which would look like %OracleBIData_HOME%\web\config\credentialstore.xml
So to answer your question your command should appear as below if I have accessed your path to the OracleBIData home correctly, you may need to change it based on your installation,
C:\OracleBI\web\bin>cryptotools credstore -add -infile C:\OracleBIData\web\config\credentialstore.xml
Just be mindful of your paths and your backslashes vs. forward slashes.

Please tel how do i configure the delivers in my machine.....
when i run the ibot i was getting error as "Oracle BI Scheduler Error: [nQSError: 12008] Unable to connect to port 9705 on machine MACHINE. [nQSError: 12010] Communication error connecting to remote end point: address = MACHINE; port = 9705. [nQSError: 12002] Socket communication error at call=: (Number=-1) Unknown"
I am using obiee 10.1.3.4.1 (Build 090414.1900) version......is database necessary to run the ibots?
