  • Line item Delivery block is greyed out

    Dear All
I want to restrict the transfer of Requirements for those Sales orders line items which needs Sales Order BOM for Make to Order scenario. So that Requirement does not get transferred with Standard Production BOM until the Sales Order BOM is created.  For that I want to put a delivery block at line item which will restrict transfer of Requirement. However Delivery block field is grey in Main Screen of Sales order in shipping tab.
Can the delivery block be always put in Header or at Schedule line level and Not at line item level.
    Regards,
    Neeraj Srivastava

Putting a delivery block will not stop the transfer of requirements. You have to give a reason for rejection to stop the transfer of requirements. Once you want the requirements to be passed the reason for rejection may be removed.
Delivery block can be given at header level and schedule line level. If the delivery block field is greyed then you need to check whether the used ID has got necessary authorization to release the block. Only if authorization is available the delivery block field will be in change mode.

  • Delivery Address is greyed out in PRs generated through Sales Orders

    Hi Experts,
I have an issue in PR Delivery Address.  When I am generating a PR automatically from the sales order with custom Schedule Line Category and Custom Item Category, the PR is generated with a particular Doct Type and AAC, as per the settings in VOV6.  But when I go to ME52N, the delivery address is greyed out and I am not able to change the same.  When I am converting the PR to PO, there I am able to change the delivery address.  But my requirement is to change it at PR level itself.
Is there any setting to make the Delivery Address as Edit mode?
    Thanks in advance.
    Hari Raj

    Hi,
Since the 4.6 releases, there is a design change about the address
processing for third-party orders in reference to SD-orders.
System is working correctly, it is designed this way.
The reason for this behaviour is to prevent any possible inconsistency
between MM and SD applicable applications. Changing the address must
take place in the sales order.
The way to change the delivery address in a PR linked to a Sales Order
is to change the Ship-To address in the sales order.

  • I have downloaded Mountain Lion and Time Machine says that my Free Agent Goflex (Seagate) external 2gb drive cannot be used as it is read only. I tried disc utility to repair permissions but that block is greyed out. The disc verifies as being OKI

Since installing Mountain Lion, Time Machine says says that my Free Agent Goflex (Seagate) external 2gb drive cannot be used as it is read only. I tried disc utility to repair permissions but that block is greyed out. The disc verifies as being OKI What next?

Ok, I solved this problem! I ejected the drive and then disconnected it both from the power supply and the USB connector. I then reconnected everything and powered it up again and Then went into TM preferences and chose the drive as the backup. TM did a new backup (well over an hour) and now works as advertised.

  • Cost Centre Fields Grey out in PO

    Dear Experts,
I have one scenario while we create Purchase Requisition with account assignment category K then create Purchase Order with reference of  Purchase Requisition but in PO system allow to change the Cost Center.
How can i restrict or system not allow to change the cost center or fields grey out.
    Regards
    Aamir

    Dear Aamir,
The setting of screen layout SPRO>Materials Management>Purchasing>
Purchase Requisition>Define Screen Layout at Document Level can only be
done for Account Assignment Category however you are unable to do it for
Cost Center or G/L account or any other Account Assignment fields.
The problem is that the field of the subscreen account assignment are
set under the transaction spro->Mm->purchasing->account assignment->
maintain account assignment categories. So the functionality you ask for
is not available.   So in the standard is not possible but you might try to use
BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. I haven´t try it before, but as far as I can see,
other customers have used it for a similar purpose.

if it is with Serial Field You can Validate it with Enhancement : AISA0001 .
I think SHD0 is for Variant creation for Reporting purpose , But AS02 is an Asset Change Transacttion . i dont think you need to use  SHD0 .

  • Qty field greying out in Sales Order

    Dear Gurus,
I already posted one thread as given below:
Status of Sales Order not changing .
I was told that the status of the first OR will never change from 'Open', in the process flow:    OR - OR - LF - F2,    since the Schedule Lines created in the first OR will never be delivered.
We created a new Doc Type 'ZOR' an exact copy of 'OR' and a new Item Category 'ZTAN' an exact copy of TAN and unchecked 'Schedule Line Allowed'. Assigned 'ZTAN' to Doc Type 'ZOR'.
My understanding is now since ZTAN is not relevant for Schedule Lines, this sales order should not create any schedule lines and when this doc type ZOR is referenced to create another order 'OR', the status of 'ZOR' should change to 'Completed' once fully referenced.
But when I created a Sales Order, entering the SP, Material and Quantity and clicked 'Enter', system is giving the Item category as 'ZTAN' but greying out the Quantity field with out any value. Why is this happening?? What am I doing wrong? Please help me out here.
    Thanks and regards.
    Venkat - Hyd

    Hi Venkat,
If you will remove the tick mark/ activation from the "Schedule line allowed" check box in the Item category ZTAN, then you can not deliver the item as without schedule line, you can not delivered.
    The process is,
    Standard order(e.g, OR) -
    > Delivery (LF).
If you remove the activation, then system understands that it is not a deliverable item and takes it to grey mode.
If you want to deliver an item physically, then schedule line must have been allowed for it in its Item category level AND that schedule line must have been deliverable at the Schedule line category level ("Delivery relevance" field must have been activated).
Even one of the two condition is missing then you can not deliver an item physically.
For example, In Item category AGN for Quotation, you will find schedule line is allowed but if you will go to its Schedule line category BN, you will find it is not deliverable (the "Delivery relevance" field is blank).
Therefore, even though there is a schedule line for the Quotation item , still we can not deliver it which is logical.
So, use the available field for logical purpose, it will support you. As the fields are available, you can not put any value what you want, it must be logical.
If you want to make blank the "Schedule line allowed" field then copy the Item category "WKN" or "WKC" and from TAN.
Similarly, copy the Contract and not OR for your purpose.
Where as, you can not create a Delivery directly from Contract. So contract items do not require schedule line. Contract is completed by one or more Release orders and Release orders contain schedule line.
    The process is,
    Contract (e.g, QC, WK1, WK2) -
    > Release orders (e.g, OR) -
    > Delivery (e.g, LF).
Therefore, in Item category in contract (e.g,WKN , WKC etc) you will find that "Schedule Line Allowed" field is blank.

  • Billing block is greyed out

    Hi Friends,
Businmess does not want to create invoice for sales order. So they went back and cancelled the invoice, now in VA02 sales order billing block is coming greyed out.
Why it is coming greyed out?
How can I put billing block to the sales order?
    Regards
    Ashu

In normal circumstances, once you have generated a billing document and cancelled, you can still be able to assign billing block which would be in editable mode only.  I feel, in your case, some exit is applied.  Alternatively, you can assign Reason for Rejection for that line item.
    thanks

  • Exchange rate field greyed out when i use custom PO order type

    Hi!
Upon creation of PO using SAP standard order type NB, the field exhange rate is editable. While when i used csutom PO order type, it is greyed out. How can we edit this? Where is the configuration of the exchange rate per order type?
If this is configured in IMG please include path, on how exchange rate is configured.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    Spro>Materials Management>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define Document Types
Here check the "Field Selection Key" against the PO doc type
(ex: Standard NB doc type the "Field Selection Key" would be "NBF")
    Then go to
Spro>Materials Management>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define Screen Layout at Document Level
Select the " Field Selection Key" of ur doc type..Just Double click on that
then check for field " Exchange rate "
against that field you can see three options, Reqd.entry  Opt. entry  Display...
Here tick the field "Opt. entry", So that You can get this field in Change mode in ME21N trx...
    Thx

  • PA30 - Personnel Number field greyed out - No input help available.

    Hi Experts,
In our System in DEV, & Quality  in PA30, we are unable to select employees either by directly giving the number (greyed out) or by selecting through F4 (No input help is available).
But in Production System we can directly give Pernr or select through F4.
Any body tell me what is the reason behind this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Samanvita.

    Hi Hariprasath,
It is not the issue with NUMKR, The number Ranges are already maintained, and are defaulted in NUMKR feature.
This is showing same in DEV / QA/ Prod.
Issue is in DEV / QA,  The Personnel Number Field is Greyed out, and not able to select any number.
For that we are going to PA20, open the personnel number first, and open PA30 in another window, then we are changing the data of the employee.
But we want to give Personnel Number in PA30 itself as per SAP Standard.
Any Idea, why it is like this.
    Thanks,
    Samanvita

  • MRP - Sales order and customer fields grey-out

    Hi there,
The Sales order and customer fields are grey-out for all MRP generated production orders. Can the SAP programmers please get this fixed? It should either read in the sales order number and the customer number or allow user to type in the sales order, just like the manually created production order.
    cheers

    Hello Gordon,
If production is make-to-order rather than make-to-stock, the MRP should read in the sales order number and the customer, since it is specific to the sales order. Even for make-to-stock production, where it cannot read in the specific sales order number, it should at least not grey out the field, don't you think so? By greying out the field, users are not allowed to type in the sales order number even when the production order directly relates to a particular sales order. As such, we are not able to link it back to the sales order where other info such as customer's purchase order, etc... can be found.
Could you please advise alternative way of linking MRP generated production orders to the sales orders? thanks
