Delivery Channel for Printing version 10.1.3.3.2

hi ,
Has anyone tried Printing using SQL based bursting.?
If yes what is the parameter value of the column DEL_CHANNEL?
When i set the value as Printer or Print_Delivery, i get a system message Unknown Delivery Channel with Status as success.
When i set the value to Print , i get the status as failed.
Any help , leads appreciated.

In our production environment, we sometime get the following error (Channel Audit Log):
2009-01-12 15:08:47 Error Unable to find channel ID
2009-01-12 15:08:47 Error Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Couldn't find delivery channel for message: 496b9e98-9466-0109-e100-8000ac10a218.
2009-01-12 15:08:47 Error The message status set to NDLV.
This particular interface runs around 100 times a day without any issues, however around once or twice a month we get this error.
This is a synchronous interface.
Could be because of number of threads alloted for Synchronous messages in Visual Admin.

Changing images for print version

Is there a way to change an image for a print version?
My background is dark blue and my image is white, however if
I print this nothing will show because its white on white.
I want to use a different image that is dark blue for the
print version so that you can see it.
Can this be done with CSS?

How to create seperate color channel for print of illustrator document

Hi,
I need to print a document with partial UV-spots, and cannot figure out how to make my Illustrator document ready for print!
The online print center guides me to:
create a 'seperate print channel' for the specific elements in my document i want covered, with either a '5th color or a special color' set for 'over-print and 100% color'.
Can anyone help?

Urgent: Fit to Page for Printed Version

Hi All,
I have a specific requirement from the client where they want all there web reports to fit to one page when exporting to PDF. The problem we are facing is that these are highly formatted reports and there is a mixture of report items and charts. Now the problem is that the report items follow their own print layouts and there is an explicit page break before and after these items. As I understand from SAP that this is how it is going to stay and they dont plan to add this feature. We are still talking to SAP on this. If anyone can help in any way in this regard, it will be much appreciated. Can this be implemented in some way through a custom development etc.

E-Business Suite XML Publisher 5.6.3 FAX Delivery Channel

Hi All,
If anyone of you who has implemented FAX delivery channel for XML Publisher 5.6.3 version, share your experience. Which software you used for delivery faxes from EBusiness Suite?
XML Publisher guide mentions eFax and FAX4CUPS. Tim D's blog has an entry about Advanced Collections functionality with RightFax. Any pros and cons about these softwares?

Depends on what you need. If you need to manage thousands of faxes a day and have some multi fax board solution then something like RightFAX will work - its goiing to cost you thou. If your needs are more meager and you dont mind getting stuck into some custom code, then XMLP coupled with a CUPS server can do the job. If you want some middle ground and out of the box integration check out STR Software's solution. Again, its not free but they are a great bunch of folks with a great product. They will stand up faxing in a matter of days with some really neat integration with the conc manager pages - www.strsoftware.com
Thats my 2 cents, Im sure there are plenty of other 'real' customers out there that have opinions.

Saving for Web, Saving for Print

I have Photoshop Elements 9 & 11. I realize that for the best resolution for prints, the dpi should be at least 220. For web, pics can be saved as little as 72 dpi. Questions: if I want to have print AND web versions of pics, is it best to save them first for Print version, and then do a "Save For Web." If I "Save For Web" before I do my "Saving for Print," will this mess up print versions? I am presently saving my images as tiffs because they are layered. Also -- I don't want to duplicate files and clutter my computer so I'd appreciate feedback on what the most efficient way of saving is for doing both Web and Print. One other thing -- should I uncheck "Resample" for print versions?

For printing, it is desirable to have the file resolution in the 240-300px/in range. For web work, 72 px/in is ok.
DPI is a printer setting.
Suggest that you continue saving in format which supports layers as you have been doing. This will allow you to go back at a future date and make changes. Go to File>save for web, save as JPEG or PNG-24 to a separate folder. When you are done with these files, delete them. You can always go back and recreate them as needed. And, don't forget to back up the picture files to removable disk or DVD.
In the File>save for web dialog, I ususally make the longest side 600 +/- pixels, and check "constrain proportions."

Print Version ALV

hi ,
I am able to use the print version option in ALV report for 10 - 20 records. But when the data is 25000 records it says print failure. I know we have 1000 records restriction when displaying the Visible row count. Does this restriction apply for print version also?

Well a workaround! Export the records to excel and then call print from EXCEL may be that would let you over come the record limit.

File Internal Delivery Channel failed

hi all,
i'm facing some problem with the File Internal Delivery Channel, my idea is to output the incoming message from my remote trading partner into a folder.
i'd follow the steps in the user guide but i can see any files in the folder.
i've try the FTP Internal Delivery Channel and i can see those files in the folder.
can anyone help me here? how to output the incoming message into a folder using the File Transport Protocol??

Hello PT,
A part of this question is also discussed in the other post named Transport Parameters for FTP1.0 . In acme-Global Chips scenario , you might want to define the delivery channel for Acme to be picked up from an FTP folder where Global Chips is assumed to be placing the files for inbound.
For outbound scenario, you have to define the delivery channel of GlobalChips to define the FTP end points so that B2B will put the files in the respective folder. HTH. Please let me know.

I'm looking at the bursting documentation and it appears as though you can reference the out of the box delivery channels in the config, but is it possible to reference a custom delivery channel in the bursting config? I tried a sample and I'm getting an "unknown delivery channel error"...

You can either create a new URI or use the existing one. It's up to your requirement and use case. URI is nothing but the destination location on which B2B thread hear to pick the message and connects to pass the message.
