Delivery Date should be blank in ME51N

Hi,
We want Delivery Date as Blank & Mandatory in ME51N - PR Creation.
I have already tried with T.code OMI8, where we removed Processing time required field value as 0 under External Procurement but from this, Delivery Date is showing same date as PR Date.
Please guide, how to do this field as Blank....

   If you want the user to input the delivery date, then you may check the following option.
1. Go to ME51N and go to personal settings and go to default values tab.
2. Maintain the delivery date as any past date as shown below and save.
3. Now, go to the path: OLME - Environment Data - Define Attributes of System Messages - System messages. Here, maintain the message ME 039 as error message E as shown below:
4. Create a new PR in ME51N and check the system behavior.
      System will always propose the delivery date mentioned in the personal settings (even though you maintain different PDT or purchase processing time). Since we maintained a past date as the default date, system will propose the past date and immediately the error message ME039 will be triggered. So the user will be alerted and he has to change the delivery date.
       Please note that the personal settings is at user level and you have to maintain the same settings for all the relevant users.
       If the above option is not suitable, you may go for development. You may check the BAdI: ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST

Hi expert,
i just want to make sure the STO delivery date should skip weekend or give a warning message in case it is calcuated based on planned delivery time to be the weekend. Now I know that the calendar in receiving plant configuration can reach this request. but what i concern is, if i change this config, the impact is too big. Does any one have better idea?
also, it looks like that the calendar in unloading point in ship-to master data doesn't work for this.

add BSEG-KOART = 'K' in prerequisite

Hello All
I have one requirement here, where delivery dates should propose only working days and it should not allow to add weekends and holidays during the creation of sales order.
I would like to know if there are any standard settings to be done in plant or shiping point?

Same calendar has already been assigned in shipping point,plant and sales org and also in the calendar holidays been maintained, even though when we create a sales order it will accept weekends and holidays

Create a Separate Factory calendar with only working days on every Monday
The Factory Calendar will be done either in the OVR3 or SCAL
And assign this newly defined Factory calendar in the PLANT--Factory Calendar

1. For this you need to maintain the Customer Calendar...
IMG --> SD --> Master data --> Business Partner --> Customer --> Shipping --> Define Customer Calendars....
Here create a calendar with working day as only on Monday and other days as holiday.
2. Assign this calendar in the Customer Master --> General data --> Unloading Points....
create atleast one unloading point and assign the newly created calendar... you can also set this unloading point as default one...
Now the confirmed delivery date will be only on monday... if the confirmed qty is available on tuesday then it will be confirmed to the customer on next monday....

We need a customization for getting Requested delivery date, Material Availability date and Delivery date should be same.
Example if I keep request delivery date as 12/12/2012, system should consider same dates for MAD and Delivery and confirm the requested quantity.

What you are going to achieve by this? Hope you know the concept of MAD and confirmed quantity fields. Let us assume, if stock is not there for a material for which sale order is created, can you let me know, you want the system still to confirm the quantity? You can post the goods issue only if system confirms the quantity in schedule line which is possible, only if stock is made available. If client asks something which is not possible in SAP, think in a logical way how SAP works and convince them accordingly.

Here is the answer
1. Set the planning calendar as the period stats with Monday.
2. Set the weekly lot sizing procedure in such way that the scheduling field as 1 = requirement date = delivery date.
3. Assign these settings in the MRP view of material master.
If you run the MD02 then your requirement date will only falls on Monday.
But since our requirement is delivery date should fall on Monday.
4. So the GR processing time should be zero in the MRP 2 view of material master.
Because the delivery date calculated as follows
Delivery date = Requirement date - GR processing time.
By this way the delivery date also falls on the same day (Monday ) as the Requirement date.

Effective Date should appear Blank by default on SSHR Separation process

Navigation : Manager Self Service - Separation - Action Page - Termination Effective Date Options.
On this page the there is an option button "Change should take effect on the effective date as mentioned below".
Here by default the effective date appears as SYSDATE.
The requirement is that the effective date should appear blank by default. We tried using personalization, but its not possible.

By Separation I'm guessing you're referring to the 'Termination' MSS page where it defaults the Effective Date.
On this page the controller sets the Effective Date to sysdate - I don't know of any way you can blank this out without extending the delivered controller:
oracle.apps.pqh.selfservice.common.webui.EffectiveDateCO.class

Delivery date should be equal to basline date

I have created PO on 2nd and delivery taken place on 5th , IR is taken place on 7th. Right now i want my baseline date in inoice is should be 5th as delivery date. please help me in this.

The base line date gets defaulted based on the payment terms , this is standard.
If you want the delivery date as the base line date , then you need to use an Enhancement or BAdi to acheive the same.

Proposed delivery date should not get copied to the target document

I am creating a quotation and it is taking proposed delivery date as creation date and confirming a schedule line. When i create the sales order the same data is coped to the sale order. I have a different delivery date in sales order , but the system dose not allow me to change the date saying that a schedule line already confirmed for this line item.
I have unticked the copy schedule line the copay control of item category from quotation to order. still the same problem...pls help

Hi,
If you carefully look at the problem, the root cause is not at the schedule line but at the document header where the delivery date is given.
So if you really dont want the delivery date to be copied, you should do that in a new copying routine and in that routine, you should copy all the details except the delivery date. This means that even if you create with reference, system will ask you for requested delivery date. Now you can give the delivery date of your choice and further scheduling will happen automatically.

Delivery date should be confirmed in third party process

I have one doubt in third party process i.e., while creating sales order how can we confirm the delivery date because here vendor deliver the goods to customer but if customer is asking for delivery on a particular date then how can we assure him the delivery date is there any tracking in standard or how to solve this requirement.

In the third party Process, the Vendor will deliver the goods. That is correct. so as per my experience the delivery dates will get copied to Sales order ----- PR ----then PO. Then the vendor will also deliver the goods on the date which is mentioned copied into PO only.

User exit for vf01 for delivery date should be a current date

I won t allow to save vf01 delivery date mismatch with system date. Delivery date must equal with system date. kindly give any userexit for this issue.

I have got a requirement that Delivery Date should be blank instead of sy-datum in Purchase Requisition (ME51N), so that user can enter his date .
I tried BAPI and user exits for PR, but the structures used there do not contain the Screen field EEIND. So I m unable to handle it.
Please suggest me what else i can do.
