Delivery of Iphone 4

I bought two iphones as the present to my wife. It was delivered by TNT. They did not call you before, during and after the delivery. They leave the message marking the time and asking you to contact the hotline. It took hours to connect the line. Usual reply is the shipment has not yet returned and I cannot give you the time. However, the delivery time in the note for NOT HOME was not the same as in the tracking record. You have to wait, wait, wait... If the service is delivered by the Post Office, they will leave the card and we can go to the post office to collect ourselves. For TNT delivery, you don't know when. You cannot get in touch with Apple or TNT.
This is a very bad experience I had since I changed to use Apple. It's probably the services matter. TNT said it is on the request of APPLE. I cannot get the answer from APPLE either. Perhaps, it is good to let the APPLE DALILY to ask the APPLE.

I do have the numbers given by APPLE and TNT. When I called TNT expressing my dissatisfaction, they said they have already receiving numerous complaints and they could not help. In the recent delivery, I called back the hotline on 17 Sep after they leave the note in my box, which was 5:30 p.m. and is different from the record. It took hours for me to call them from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.. They said they can only deliver the items on 23 Sept, but then was a holiday and so they gave me another date on 25 Sep. Their explanation was that the shipment was not in warehouse so this would be the earliest time slot given.
I think the point is they are not given options. If I missed the delivery time, like I was in the washroom or going out for a short walk, I need to do all the bookings again via the busy hotline. It is unreasonable to keep me near the door bell all day, even I was given the date.
In fact, the second delivery was not arranged. I called them after 15 Sep and they said it was not in warehouse so they said I have to wait for 26 Sep. Surprisingly, they deliver the iphones on 16 Sep. I have requested them to deliver the shipment to my office. They said the APPLE does not allow the change.
Probably, the worst thing was I said to my wife how good the facetime is and we can have this as for her birthday present. I am quite upset by the arrangement and this was never happen when I bought the imac, iphones, ipod, ipad and other accessories!
Please see the note on the record saying 'Delivery Issue Resolved', means that I have called them and was persuaded about the earliest time for delivery.

    Between Oct 13 to Oct 20.
    You should also be sent a tracking number once your packaged is ship, so you can track it.

    Ordered iPhone 6 Space Gray 64gb from AT&T on 9/29/2014.  Tracking/order status states it will ship 10/29/14 to 11/18/14.  Does anyone have any better news than that?

  • Qhuestion about delivery of Iphone 4s to Dubai

    Hello,
    I have a couple of questions and i would be so greatful if i will get them answered, thanks in advance.
    1) iPhone 4s will be released in the market as a free sim one in November so would it be possible to be shipped to United arab emirates ?
    2) if possible how much would the shippment cost?
    3) the price is considered to be 649$ for the free sim, in the meanwhile its around 1369$ currently in UAE market, so still would it be possible to use in it in UAE and if the price so obviously extremly high in UAE will the UAE government have any issues for the delievery of one from USA.
    thanx and best regards ..

    I just read the IPhone warranty for "Apple Branded Products" (http://images.apple.com/legal/warranty/docs/iPhone_4_warranty.pdf).  Apple Branded as in no carrier logo.  There is absolutely no reference to country of purchase warranty limitations. In fact, the warranty notes what costs may apply if service is requested on a phone purchased outside of the country where service is requested.   To the OP, unfortunately there are many people offering their personal opinions of the warranty on a product that is yet to be sold. However, the warranty that's on Apple's site at the moment says you're covered.  My reason for taking a moment to read a few pages long warranty is I will purchase an unlocked phone once they are available. Since I split my time between Europe and the US, a worldwide warranty would be desirable.

    How can I have sms message delivery for IPhone

    Check to see if there is a 3rd party app that provides it. Also, check with your carrier. If you are in the US, this is not an important thing, and most of the carriers do not provide delivery for SMS. If your from outside the US, see if the carrier supports it and what needs to be done to get it.

  • Is anyone else having problems with an iPhone 6 delivery date changing on them?

    I sat up until 12:01am to pre order (2) iPhone 6's and (2) iPhone 6 +'s and they had a delivery date of 9/19 for both of the phones at the time I logged on to Verizon's preorder site. The system would not allow me to log in as an existing customer but it would allow me to order as a new customer. I kept trying to order new phones as an existing customer on two different computers and three different browsers without any luck. I finally decided to order them as a new customer and the order went right through the Verizon system without any problem. Two minutes later I received an email from Verizon requesting that I call them as soon as possible to complete the order. I called in and spoke to a rep that explained that I already was an existing customer and that I would need to use the "Existing Customer" preorder link. I explained the issues I was having and she said that I would still need to use that system when it was available. So I tried the existing customer link and it now let me through but the date for the iPhone 6 plus had slipped to 10/7 (It is now 1:30 am). I completed the transaction and it stated 9/19 delivery for iPhone 6 and 10/7 for the iPhone Plus. However once I received the email confirmation it stated that the delivery date for the phones was 10/7. I called Verizon customer service and stated my concern about the later delivery date for the iPhone 6 and they told me that the iPhone 6's would arrive on the 19th and the pluses would arrive on 10/7 so I did not change my order. This morning 9/19 8:00am I called in to inquire about my shipping confirmation numbers for the (2) iPhone 6's and the customer service rep (Robanya) told me that he would call me back at 1:00pm PST and give me the shipping confirmation numbers. He asked specifically which phone number he should call me back on and I gave him my cell number. After not receiving a call back from Robanya, I called Verizon customer service at 5:30pm and spoke Ryan James and he confirmed that the orders were placed on the 12th of Sept and that one system showed all of them due to be delivered 10/7. After insisting that Robanya that I spoke with earlier in the day said they were shipping today, Ryan got off the phone for 5-10 mins and then got back on and said that the iPhone 6's shipped yesterday on the 18th but he did not have a confirmation number. After pressing him that someone should have this confirmation number in Verizon he stated that the delivery dates were subject to change and that all the phones would probably ship on 10/7 and left it at that.
    So after loosing sleep to pre order phones on Verizon, speaking with (3) different Verizon reps, I am rewarded by having my delivery date changed to 10/7 on my iPhone 6's which is the same delivery date they were quoting yesterday 9/18.
    Did any one else have the same disappointing experience that I had?

    Yes, pre-ordered iPhone 6 with a guaranteed delivery date of 19 September; took screen shots after the order just to have record of it.
    Called Verizon 18 Sept because I hadn't received a tracking number yet, and was informed my phone would now ship 7 October.  When I expressed that was different than what was promised and had proof, a manager came on the phone and confirmed that I should have a 19 Sept delivery date based on their records.  She told me however she could not confirm when my order would ship.
    19 Sept came and went with no phone delivery.  I have tried calling Verizon, posting here, and posting on their FB page for customer service.  Every rep I talked to (except for the first manager on 18 Sept) has been unable to admit that they mislabeled their product sales page, and mislead the customer.  One rep told me the guaranteed delivery date was an "estimate"; when I asked her to show me on the website where it uses the term "estimate", she admitted it didn't communicate that, but still was unable to utter the words "we made a mistake".
    VZW needs to take a 101 class in customer service and crises management; rule #1 is if you screw up, admit it!  I know I am not going to get my iPhone as promised, but pretending like there is nothing wrong with that customer service experience is just making things worse. Not a single employee I have communicated with to date has attempted to do anything proactive to correct or mitigate the customer failure.  I am truly amazed at how poorly VZW has been handling this to date; again (removed) happens with supply/demand, website errors, etc, but the failure to acknowledge how the screw up shafted a lot of (formally) loyal long time customers is criminal.

    You need to contact your cellular carrier to activate SMS on their network. Apple does not do business in Iran, so Apple can not help you.

  • An iPhone salesman diary...

    At times like these, when demand is over supply, it's easy to get upset with the person standing in front of you. Remember, it's not their fault. Supply issues are not the stores fault, or even the company. Supply issues are manufacturing problems. Just remember, the UK only got 16,000 phones total. We will be getting ours here MUCH MUCH sooner.
    Below is an article called "Diary of a somebody - life in iPhone 4 land" published on theregister.co.uk.  It's a good story that illustrates my point: Don't get mad at the salesman.   Hopefully this will help lighten a tense situation
    June 23rd 08:00 Arrived in work to wait on the delivery. The new iPhone is due out tomorrow so it should hopefully be chock full of them. There does seem to be significantly more excitement about this launch than the 3GS. Maybe it's because it's on more networks, maybe it's because of the revolutionary new features like a flash. Who knows? Tomorrow should be a good sales day.
    08:20 Just opened up the delivery. I contains exactly no iPhone 4's. Hmm, they must be coming in on their own delivery later.
    08:49 Logged onto the employee communication system. Apparently the iPhone 4 comes out tomorrow and it is a massive opportunity to blah blah blah. Also there is a football match on today so it is important that we remember that customers are our first priority and yadda yadda yadda...
    08:57 People are queuing outside my shop. I open early to let them in. "Can we reserve an iPhone 4?" No, it will be first come first served, sorry. "Can we give you a deposit for one?" No, we have been told we are not allowed to prioritise any customers. Sorry. "We'll give you £50 each to hold them for us." Thanks but no thanks, I don't fancy job hunting in this economy. I take their details and agree to call them once I know what stock levels will be like.
    10:20 Still no sign of the iPhone 4. Just had a communication from the company that they want us to open an hour early on launch day. An hour less in bed. Super.
    11:27 Just had a special non-scheduled delivery of iPhone 4... posters. There is a lot of chatter on email that the company has very limited stock so we might only get a couple each. Great, it's going to be the 3G launch all over again.
    13:39 So far today I have had 19 people asking about the iPhone 4. That is more contracts than most sales people sell in a week. To give Apple their due they are VERY good at getting the hype levels up.
    14:17 Due to demand direct sales have been given a head start on selling out the iPhone 4 and will be contacting certain customers today. Uh what?! Is the company actively trying to ensure stores have insufficient stock to meet demand?
    16:28 Just had a customer calling me an incompetent idiot because I couldn't guarantee him an iPhone 4 for tomorrow. He brags about how successful he is and about how he always gets what he wants And then spends about five minutes berating me for my refusal to promise things I may not be able to deliver. I consider calling him a yuppie oxygen thief who is lucky to be able afford an iPhone as the poor wraiths who make it never will be able to buy one on their salaries of $90. I don't. He continues telling me how this is no way to run a business and that I'll never go anywhere. I consider telling him to get a grip and stop acting like a petulant, spoiled toddler as it is, ultimately, just a phone. I don't. I smile and apologise for the inconvenience. He calls me an idiot again and storms out. What is it about Apple products that makes otherwise rational human beings behave like complete maniacs?
    17:05 Just had final confirmation from the company, out of the 20 odd stores in the region only three are getting any stock. The biggest store of these is only getting 13. Tomorrow is going to be a bloodbath. Time to phone lots of people and disappoint them.
    18:17 I lock up the shop and walk to the train station. On my way I pass the Apple store. Already people are outside with chairs and sleeping bags. My heart sinks.
    June 24th 6:00 My alarm is beeping. I look at my watch and wonder why my alarm is set so early. I remember. It's iPhone 4 non-launch day. I get ready and leave for the shop.
    07:30 I pass the Apple store, there must be at least a few hundred people queuing outside now. I walk the short distance to my shop and find six people waiting. I break the bad news about the stock situation. One looks like he is going to cry. Upon logging onto the company communications system there is a patronising message telling me there is almost no stock of the iPhone 4 and suggesting I might want to try and sell other phones instead. Thanks for that, marketing geniuses at head office.
    08:00 I open the shop early as ordered. Immediately I am pounced on by someone who was waiting outside. He tells me the nearby O2 store only got nine iPhone 4's delivered. I tell him that is nine more than us. He runs off muttering that he is going to try another national retailer. I wish him luck.
    09:17 So far today I have had to turn away almost as much business as we do in an entire month. Part of me wonders if this scarcity of product isn't cynically engineered to maximise hype. No other phone manufacturer has these stock issues at launch every single time they launch a product. There is a new communication from head office. The iPhone 4 is only available on upgrade till an unspecified time in the future. Oh, and employees are banned from buying one on pain of dismissal.
    09:27 A new missive from head office, O2's upgrade line is swamped and is close to falling over. I get a call from a former colleague in another phone retailer. Apparently they got no stock either - at least it's not just us.
    11:30 Far from being one of the biggest sales days of the year this is turning out to be one of the quietest. This "launch" is either cluster of epic proportions or an equally epic marketing coup. I can't quite work out which.
    "iPhone 4. This changes everything. Again." The only thing I see changing is my choice of job. ®

    Thanks for the post -- a good read. All to often the salesperson gets blamed because they are the direct interface with the customer. I blame the corporate decision makers for their lack of foresight, planning, and communication.

  • Getting ready for delivery - Ringtone question

    I have a number of music clips that I have used as ringtones on my Samsung Blackjack. When I take delivery of iPhone can I transfer these files via iTunes to the iPhone and use them as ringtones there? Thanks for any help!

    you can do it in itunes, rightclick on the song and "convert to AAC". This converts it to m4a. Then you go into windows and change the extension to m4r.
    This article has detailed instructions http://www.wired.com/software/coolapps/news/2007/09/ringtone_hacks
    It says it's for itunes 7.4 but it worked for me with the latest version and still works with the 2.01 update.

  • IPhone 5 replacement and buying the iPhone 6

    So first off, my iPhone 5 recently fell in water and is not working so I was planning on just early terminating my contract, selling it for used parts on eBay, and buying the iPhone 6 but I decided to get a replacement for my iPhone 5. Now my question, is it possible to order my iPhone 5 replacement, then *cancel the contract/deactivate phone as it's being delivered* to me so I use it as an iPod when it arrives to me so I can go and purchase the iPhone 6 on release day without paying the full retail price? If you don't understand, I'll break it down:
    - Order replacement iPhone 5
    - Terminate contract and deactivate phone during delivery
    - Receive iPhone 5 (only to use as an iPod/or sell for profit)
    - Buy iPhone 6 for discounted price ($300)

    "Terminating the contract" tells me you have time left on the contract, which means you are not eligible to upgrade at the discounted price.  Putting your old contract back on the line would have the same effect as not terminating at all - you still would not be eligible to upgrade. Dial #874 (#UPG) When are you able to upgrade at the discounted price?
    Also, if you do terminate, there's no guarantee you'll get the same number back.  The only way to ensure thatyou keep the number is to port to a new carrier, which would terminate the line with Verizon, triggering the ETF.  Then port back in to Verizon, but you'd be back to square one anyway, exactly where yo uare today, not eligible to upgrade at the discounted price.

  • Final Cut Pro X Exporting to Youtube with Canon 5D Mark ii

    Hi,
    I'm having problems exporting to Youtube with Final Cut Pro X. i convert the file and upload, but the audio is not syncing properly. The video is fine. Any tips on what to do? I'm using a Canon 5 D Mark ii. 24fps, 1080
    Also does anyone know where the audio setting are on FCPX?
    Thanks

    Hi aussiearn
    The process you suggested worked beautifully: images clear and true sound accurate.
    I have over 100 30 to 60-minute videos to put on a client's YouTube channel. Using the YouTube settings in Compressor my first uploads colours were looking washed out, and the audio progressively slipped when played via the Safari browser. Your advice has fixed this issue, so thank you for taking the time to post.
    To clarify what I understood your process to be for others who may wish to use it:
    In FCPX choose 'Share' from the menu bar
    Select 'Export Media'
    In the options presented: 'Export' should be set to 'Video and Audio'; 'Video codec' as H.264; 'Audio file format' will be greyed out but show Quicktime Movie; 'Open with' will show 'QuickTime Player.app (default)'. Click 'Next'.
    You'll be presented with 'Save As' options. Name the file and select where you want it to go on your drive(s), and click 'Save'.
    Export will begin: my 6.84GB video, which was 45-minutes of 1920 x 1080 at 23.98fps, took about 35 minutes using a Macbook Pro 2.2 Ghz Intel Core i7 with 8 GB of RAM
    When the export is complete the video should automatically open in QuickTime.
    Within QuickTime go to 'File' on the menu bar and choose 'Export for Web', which is at the bottom of the drop-down menu
    You'll be presented with a box that says 'Export versions of your movie optimized for web-delivery to iPhone and the desktop'. Pick what you want to name the file in the 'Export as' and then where you want it to go in 'Where' (obviously enough). You can save in three versions for different contexts, but I chose only to save as 'Broadband', with the best quality as YouTube will automatically create different versions later. Click 'Export'.
    An 'Export Progress' box should appear. My file took around 45-minutes to process.
    At the end of the process you will find a folder with your chosen name, rather than a file. Click on tha folder, then click on the 'Resources' Folder you will find in side. Amongst other files you'll find a .m4v file with 'broadband' at the end of the name. Rename the file and change the suffix '.m4v' to '.mp4' and upload to YouTube.
    As you said this seems to save a lot of time compared to compressor (perhaps half the time?) The file that began the process at 6.84 GB ended as 1.16 GB, and looks and sounds great.
    Thank you,
    Nigel

  • Use which render option from FCE4 to iDVD ?

    Hi guys,
    I wanted to a make a DVD. I reckon using iDVD is the most convenient since it is free with my iMac purchase ...
    So, in FCE4 I render using QUICKTIME MOVIE or QUICKTIME CONVERSION to get the mov files to export to iDVD ?
    Thanks

    David Harbsmeier wrote:
    The QuickTime Movie option will produce an exact copy of your Sequence. You can choose to make the movie self-contained or a reference movie if you're short on space.
    The QuickTime Conversion method is for when you need to compress the video for other forms of delivery (web, iPhone, etc).

  • Commodities on Stock Function?

    Has anyone figured out a way to check basic commodity prices (oil/barrel, precious metals/troy oz, grain/bushel, etc) on the Stock function on their iPhone? I've tried everything I could think of, but since they don't have a company name or stock trading symbol, no luck.

    yeah, I have crude oil futures displaying on my iPhone stock app.
    This is how it works...
    Crude Oil is CL
    Then there is a month indicator.
    Jan = F
    Feb = G
    Mar = H
    Apr = J
    May = K
    Jun = M
    Jul = N
    Aug = Q
    Sep = U
    Oct = V
    Nov = X
    Dec = Z
    Then the two digit year.
    Soooo the crude oil selling right now is CLV08 for October delivery
    The iPhone will find it, but you have to tell it what exchange you're looking in, and Crude trades on NYMEX....
    SO simply plug this in - CLV08.NYM and that's it. At the end of the month, you delete that one, and plug in CLX08.NYM for November.
    As far as the other ones, they work the same way, but don't know their symbols, so I'll leave you and google to figure that out.

  • Iphone 6 plus pre-order delivery

    Hi everyone!
    I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 Plus (64GB Space Gray) on Sept 12th as early as I could (at 4:30 A.M. through the apple store app on my iPhone 5). I tried to order it earlier, but as many of us know the Apple store online was down. I was so very disappointed. During the checkout time, my estimated delivery was Oct 1 - Oct 6 and it would be available to ship in 7-10 business days. My email confirmation stated the same thing.
    This is also my first time I have ever pre-ordered an iPhone. My current phone is in pretty bad shape. The menu button popped off a couple weeks ago (it's currently being held on with scotch tape...lmao) and my screen freezes up all the time. I'm lucky if I can answer phone calls. Its not reliable at all to say the least. I have been trying to hold out for the new iPhone 6.
    I have been checking my order status relentlessly since I pre-ordered and of course, it still says "Processing Items", with the same estimated delivery date and shipping time. I'm am desperately hoping it arrives earlier than October 1st - October 6th?!
    Do any of you know if I will ONLY be getting my phone during Oct 1 - Oct 6 or do I have a chance of getting it earlier?
    Does anyone know where all they usually ship from?
    Do they usually ship via Fedex or UPS?
    Thank you so much in advance for your help!
    May

    Do any of you know if I will ONLY be getting my phone during Oct 1 - Oct 6 or do I have a chance of getting it earlier?
         Oct 1 - Oct 6 is usually conservative.  You will probably get it sooner.  You'll get another email when it ships.
    Does anyone know where all they usually ship from?
         Pre-orders were shipped from China for the same reason they are built over there cheap labor.  Apple will probably continue this until all early orders are filled.
    Do they usually ship via Fedex or UPS?
         Again pre-orders came UPS. No idea if they will continue to use them only.
