Delivery quantity of items cannot exceed sales order quantity

hi,
Could you all please help me regarding how to block a transaction if the delivery qty. is more than sales order quantity used to make the delivery.
we normally have multiple SO's to one delivery and also multiple deliveries to 1 SO

                                   Thnks for the reply.Yes i am comparing (DWERK (at header level) and WERKS (at item level)) these two fields.
      Any how we can give only one plant in Customer Master, we are not maintaining Customer/mtrl regard (Not required in our company scenario) and we have extended MMR to different plants.
    So as per ur answer u went me to change only WERKS (at item level) while raising sales order for different plants.Is it enough?

  • Purchase Order quantity must not Exceed Sales Order quantity

    Dear Experts
    My requirement is when i am creating PO in me21n and taking Document type as Domestic PO and giving account assignmnet as "C" Sales Order, must have to enter Material and quantity and must have to Give Sales Order number and item no in account assignmnet tab , the quantity i am entering in PO must not exceed my Sales Order quantity that is my requirement.

    Hi,
    You do not create a PO with reference to sales order. In PO you enter sales order number for reference. A purchase requsition can be created directly from Sales order or through MRP depending on the system settings. Then this PR can be converted to PO. here you can restrict the quantity. As in order to change the quantity in PR also you will have to change the quantity in sales order.

  • Delivery of sub-items from a sales order

    Hi experts,
    We have a business requirement to be able to modify the customer's transmitted order line in a sales order. However, we would like to retain the customer's original order details.
    In order to do this, we wanted to capture the original request as a line item in the sales order with a item category not relevant for delivery and billing. We then create a sub-item for the original line with UEPOS populated for the sub-item. This sub-item is relevant for delivery and billing.
    However, we find that with the copy routine 101, SAP does not allow only the sub-item to be delivered. With the routine 110, SAP does bring in the sub-item, but blanks out the material number ( since it expects product substitution ).
    Would appreciate inputs from the forum

    Hi Rohit,
    It is ideally required to have both higher item and subitem in delivery. However the moment there is a sub item, the delivery quantity for higher level item becomes 0 and hence this will not affect the quantity to be delivered. Hence the presence of higher level item will not impact the delivery or PGI in anyway. You can check this.
    Similarly for billing, you can check the Billing quantity field in copy control between delivery and invoice. The value has to be either G or H based on the scenario you want.
    Having said all these things, I think just adding the customer entered material either in the customer material field in sales order (I think VBAP-MATWA) or in some other Z field will relieve you of this big complexity. So unless or otherwise your customer i adamant on this, you can think of a simpler solution than the multiple levels of items.

  • Delivery block at item level in sales order,Qty should not be confirmed

    Dear all
    We have a below requirment
    We will have multiple line items in sales order and put delivery block at item level.If delivery block is put at item level it should not confirm the qty and pass on to MRP
    But if we put at header level delivery block,schedule line qty at item level are not getting confirmed.So requirements are not passed to MRP-This is correct .Working as per SAP standard configuration.
    Can you tell how to activate the same for item level delivery block.if same delivery block is put at item level,it is confirming the quantity.But we don't want confirmation of qty to happen.
    Can you give us solution

  • Delivery address on item level in Sales Order causes delivery split

    Hi all,
    I have an issue where our customer is sending in EDI-orders with delivery address on item level. This generates different SAP addresses for each line in the Sales Order later causing a delivery split in VL01n. Normally a SO contains 20 items where 10 needs to go to one physical address and the other 10 to another. What I would like is to only split on the physical address and not on each SAP address. E.g. 2 deliveries created instead of 20.
    Its ECC 5.0.
    Anyone has experience to share on this issue?

  • User Exit for Updating Delivery Plant at Item Level in Sales Order

    Hello Experts
    There is a requirement to determine the delivery plant for each item level and than update the items with newly determined plant.  There is a user exit MV45AFZZ routine FORM USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP. to update the item level entries in Sales Order in VA01 or VA02. Is this the right place to do this?, if yes , do i need to perform any other standard logic (like re determine Shipping points , schedule lines ) for newly determined plant? If not , can you please suggest any other place , BADI or user exit to change the delivery plant of sales order.

    Best place is MV45AFZZ-USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE. Populates the values just before saving the document. You can have your own deriving logic. Make sure that peice of code is trigger only for Sales Order create or change (VA01/VA02).
    Are you kidding???  You do realize that this is AFTER all validations against configuration, ATP, pricing, etc. have been performed??!!!  Never, ever change a critical value like plant in the SAVE user exits...

  • Complete Delivery at Line item level in Sales Order

    Hello Gurus,
    While creating a sales order for some customers (the sales area tab in the customer master data has complete delivery and full delivery at item level), the complete delivery flag should be enabled and partial delivery flag at item level shoulb be C.
    We have a situation where this is not working in some cases. I need to know what user exits are copying the customer master data into the sales order fields. Please give me a lead how I can proceed with this.

  • How to auto reset delivery block in item level in sales order

    hi i have one scenario. After creation of sales order it needs to be approved through work flow at item level so that without approval no delivery can be made. We have blocked the items in sales order now we want after approval the blocked status should be auto reset from block to free. how to do it.

    How is the approval taking place? Is it through work flow? If yes, You can write code for BDC or BAPI for removing the block after the approval step.
    If it is manual approval, then you can write a program with BDC/BAPI for removing the block with input as sales order number.
    Ask the approver to run this program after the approval.

       when i created the outbound delivery and must maintain the picking quantity of materails.i change the configration of system so that not nessesary maintain the picking quantity. set  item categaries of sales order  is  not  relevant for picking via t_code:vlop,what it effect .help me analyze it .

    In TA :OVLP   set/reset the indicator according to your requirement.
    In the case of outbound deliveries, only the delivery items that are relevant for picking are transferred to the Warehouse Management (WM) component. Certain items such as text items or service items (consulting activities) are not relevant for picking.(in those cases uncheck the box)
    In the case of inbound deliveries, this indicator controls whether the item is relevant for putaway.
    This indicator must be set in order for the item to be included in a Warehouse Management transfer order and then put away.

  • SALE ORDER QUANTITY LESS THAN DELIVERY QUANTITY ? NO CECK IN SAP ??

            I created a sales order of quantity  10 , having two material codes each having quantity 4 and 6 . i created delivery for the one by putting delivered quantity 4 and save , then i created delivery for second and put delivered quantity 8 which was greater than the sale order quantity left ,system saved the delivery and didn't popped any error message.  
                                     Does SAP have options to over come this mistake by end users.

                      Please get in touch with your abap er as there user exits which can be written to avoid this situation.
                      Let me explain you further one more situation.
    First one, Your query is if for  item A ord qty is 6 the system saved the delivery with 8 qty which is greater than ordered quantity.  I know the gives a warning doing this.
    Second Situation :
    Say item A ordered qty is 5, and i made a delivery for 3 and saved it. Now the open quantity on the order is only 2. (5 -3 =2).  But one of our users reduced the ordered quantity to 2 despite saving a delivery with quantity 3.
    so the situation is ord qty is 2 and delivered is 3 qty. which is again wrong. But while reducing the ordered quantity less than the delivered quantity the system gives a warning message telling "  ORDERED QUANTITY IS LESS THAN DELIVERED QUANTITY ".
    Also just imagine we made delivery for qty 5 and invoiced it.After which you reduced the delivered quantity to say 3. So delivered is 3 but invoiced is 5.
    Hence for these kinds of practical problems we have addressed them through user exits with the help of our ABAP'ers by turning those warning messages into error messages by selecting the suitable message class.

  • Q30: Cannot find sales order for a committed stock item

    I have a few item numbers which show committed stock in item master data/stock but I cannot find an open sales order or even with an open line on a closed sales order. I have tried various query reports without success.
    Does anyone have a key to unlock this problem?

    Dear Experts,
    My requirement is when i am creating a Purchase order giving referenece as Sales Order .. system must not allow the user to enter  more than Sales order quantity.
    Ex : Sales Order 1234
            Material : AAAA
            Quantity : 100
    while creating a Purchase order for Mat AAAA giving  reference of Sales order i.e 1234 and quantity 150 system must not allow user to enter more than sales order quantity . If user wants to create PO for 150 he must have to ammend the sales order from 100 to 150  is it possible.

    First of all, Purchase Order will get created with reference to Purchase requisition (T. Code: VOV7 --> Item Cat.: TAS --> Tab: Transaction Flow --> Field: Automatic PO Creation), and not with reference to Sales Order.
    This is Purchase requisition, which gets created with reference to Sales Order; based upon settings in:
    T. Code: VOV6 --> Schd. Line Cat.: CS
    Order Type            NB    Purchase Requisition
    Item Category         5     Third-party
    Acct Assgt Cat.       X     All aux.acct.assgts.
    Now, coming to your requirement (based up on my inputs),
    My requirement is when i am creating a Purchase order giving referenece as Sales Order .. system must not allow the user to enter more than Sales order quantity.
    To Restrict Purchase requisition quantity in PO, then in T. Code: OMCQ
    Or, Path: SPRO > img > MM > Purchasing > Environment Data > Define Attributes of System Messages
    Here make following messages as Error;
    06 076 Materials of requisition & item & alr. ordered in full
    06 254 Order quantity greater than requisition quantity
    Now,  in Purchase Requisition, if it is created for 100 qty (with ref. to Sales Order) and if you adopt the same in Purchase Order and try to change the qty to 150, then system will not allow you change and throws the error.

    If the Manual intervention is eliminated for processing of the data then the SO Line Item Qty will be equal to Production order Qty.

  • Delivery doc creation for a selected line item of the Sales order

    Hi folks,
        Can any one help me in how to create a delivery order for a selected line item of the Sales order.My requirement is the request comes from the web browser where a sales document and details of the items are shown the user select one line item and request for delivery create of that particular SO doc.I have used couple of FM to create delivery but the delivery create is depend on the schedule line dates so iam unable to figure out where exactly i can distinguish between the line items.
    Example:
    SO:- 11193645
    Line item -1 has 2 schedule line 06/11
                                     06/13
    Line iteam-2 has 1 schedule line 06/12
    so if i try to create Delivery doc for date 06/12
    it creates partially for line 1 and line 2.
    but my requirement is i wanted to create SO for only line item 1 as i wanted to process Del Doc for only line item 1.

    You can develop a customised FM to process the Idoc data .
    1. Read the Idoc data into internal table for the line items which need to be delivered .
    2. Run BDC for transaction 'VL01N' ( delivery creation ) through which  eliminate the line items which are not in internal table and save the delivery document
    Note : Because in VL01N , you specify the sales document with respect to which you want to perform delivery hence automatically all items are copied to the delivery document .
    During BDC recording , select items by " MOVING TO TOP"
    and then deleting the selected item
