Delivery type "LB" and MRP

Hi All
I work on the APO side and iam not thorough with MM . I have a question about the subcontracting scenario .
We provide components to the subcontractor who then makes the finished products and ships them to our plant. Let us assume we have a subcontracting requirement for 100 CS. We now create a delivery (ME2o)  to the subcontractor for 100 CS ( delivery type LB) .  When we look at MD04 the delivery created for 100 CS is not offsetting the subcontracting requirement of 100 CS.  So we now have a demand of 100 + 100  = 200 CS  which is actually not the case.  Is this a standard SAP behaviour ?
I believe whenever we issue goods to the vendor the stock at subcontractor location (MatSub) increases and the dependent demand gets offset by stock at subcontractor location .  But why doesnt a delivery to the vendor offset the dependent demand ? Please help
Thanks

Hi ,
I think planning strategy group plays a role in consuming the requirements along with MRP type (defined at material level)
check out MRP3 view -> Planning , Strategy group.

  • Delivery type relevant to MRP

    Hi Friends
When we create Stock transfer order, in MD04  the PO and MRP elements appearing for  both the plants.(supplying and Receiving plant)
After creating  Outbound delivery against PO from Supplying plant the PO (Ord.Ds) is not appearing in the MD04
My issue is the PO has to appear in MD04 untill PGI.
What MRP settings I have to check/Change to solve this.

    Srihari.M

    Srihari,
I am curious as to your reason for wanting to see the STO requirement, when in fact the delivery is the object that is creating the requirement.
I suppose one solution would be not use a delivery at all.
Stock Transport Order Without Delivery - Managing Special Stocks (MM-IM) - SAP Library
When you elect to use STOs with deliveries, in the standard process the delivery requirement replaces the STO requirement in the supplying plant.  I am not aware of any standard configuration that would bypass this behavior.

  • Vendor returns with delivery(new delivery type)

    Hi,
I configured vendor return process with delivery. it's working fine with delivery type RLL but when I try to copy "RLL" and create new delivery type it's still picking delivery type "RLL" and not the new delivery type.
    My configurations
    1. Create new delivery type copy of "RLL" - LE - shipping - new delivery types
    2. Assigned new delivery type to all the plants - MM-Purchase- purchase order - return orders.
    Am I missing something?

I found the missing config. delivery type determination for outbound delivery was missing. It's working fine now.

  • One Delivery Type, Many Invoice Types

We have a peculiar invoicing configuration where we just use one sales order type (PCRE) and one delivery type (ECRE) and many invoice types, one for each plant, my problem its that for the last plant we must be missing a configuration since when creating a new invoice (VF01) SAP by default suggest an outdated invoice type (I am erasing it from VTFL next) but since this is also entered with the rest of the plants where we do not have problem I am wondering where can I find link between Invoice Type and delivery when the delivery type its the same for all the plants?
in other words: how does SAP knows the correct invoice type since the delivery type and sales type are the same for every plant, since only our invoices are different for each plant?
I have been looking here unsuccessfully: VTLA , VTFL, VTFA, V/54, OVL3 and others.
    Thank you and Best Regards,
    Carlos

where can I find link between Invoice Type and delivery
In VTFL only, you can find a link between your delivery type and billing type.  If multiple billing types are there for one delivery type, you have two options.  Either you have to key in manually in VF01 or VF04 or go for billing exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ).  Nevertheless, you should have copy control for all those billing types against that delivery type in VTFL.

  • Multiple output records for delivery type access order sequence

    Hello,
This is a question about output delivery type for outbound deliveries.
I have created one delivery type YF and two output condition types YDL1  and assigned access sequence (by sales org/customer) and YDL2 (by  shipping point) in NACE V2 shipping. I have also created their corresponding condition records: salesorg/cust and shipping point in VV21.
When I created my outbound delivery YF from sales order and saved it. System finds both output condition types. First YDL1 and then YDL2 as expected because condition records have been maintained. However, I need to change this order so that YDL2 is the default one and YDL1 is found next.
Could somebody help me how do I change this order?
    Thank you in advanced.

    Hello,
    what do you mean with
I need to change this order so that YDL2 is the default one
When two or more output types are determined, they have the same "rank".
If you mean that you want to sort the output types to have one printed before the other one, please refer to point 3. of OSS Note 960611

  • Add delivery type to VL10C

    Hi,
In the VL01N initial screen, we have a section called "Predefine delivery type". Under that section, you can give a delivery type which is configured but not the default one assigned to order type.
For example delivery type "LF" is assinged to order type "OR". If you have "ZLF" delivery type available and also for some cases, if you want to determine a "ZLF" with the order type "OR", we can mention "ZLF" in the "VL01N" screen and create the delivery document. In that case the delivery document is created with delivery type "ZLF", not "LF".
Now the requirement is, we want same functionality in the VL10C program (where we can specify the delivery type in the VL10C transacton).
Is it possible? If so, how can I achieve that.
    Many thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Anupa

It looks you need to copy VL10C program into a Z program and you need to add additional field for document type.
In standard, it looks no option available.

  • Mixed MRP and delivery type

    Hello,
What is the function of the mixed MRP indicator. The help text does not say much excpet that its used with certain planning strategies ?
Also what is the difference between the dleivery types LR and RL ?
    Thanks

This indicator is used to conclude whether the material is available for any one type of planning.
In Mixed MRP itself you can assign 3 different values
1 Subassembly planning with final assembly
    2 Gross requirements planning
3 Subassembly planning without final assembly
In this value 1 is set for strategy 70 - Planning at assembly level.
value 2 is set for strategy 11 - Gross requirements planning
value 3 is set for strategy 74- Planning w/o Final Assembly at Assembly Level.
And for strategy 89- Assembly Processing w/ Char. Planning value 1 will be set

    Guys, what would?
Please help me out because I am stuck in this issue.
    Thanks a lot,
    Barbara

Barbara, this may be tied to Strategy Group on the Material Master (I can't read enough into the detail)
Item Category determination + MRP Type for your schedule line type ties to a Sched. Line category(this you know)
New Rqmts class gets tied to a Rqmts Type
New Rqmts Type gets assigned to rqmts class
Strategy, assign the Rqmts Type to it
Strategy Group, Assign the Strategy  to it
MM02 [MRP3 view] strategy group should be the one that ties together (all the other ties
It may be something in this area that you need to trace through ?

  • Automatic determination of Delivery type and Billing type in a sales order

    Hi,
I want to know that in a sales order cycle, how does automatic assignment of delivery type and billing type takes place after we create a sales order?
For example, when I create an outbound delivery for a sales order of type normal (OR) then in that case how does the system knows that it has to create an outbound delivery of type LF.How does the system propses it automatically and same is the case of billing document.

    Hi
In customising the sales document type (Tcode VOV8) -
specify the default Delivery type in the field DELIVERY TYPE in the 'Shipping' area of the sales document type customisation.
Similarly you can specify the billing type in the BILLING area for both Delivery related billing and Order related billing.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • MRPgenerated requisitions and MRP type =VB

    Hi Gurus,
    I have the following question.
IF a material has the MRP type VB=manual reorder point planning, then when the stock falls below the reorder point, MRP generates purchase  requisitions. For eg, on May 1st, MRP generated a requistion of 100 units of one material. Now, if no PO is created or no goods receipt done on May 1st of that material, will MRP run on the next day will create one more requistion of 100 units? Or there will be no requistion generated by MRP, as there is already a requistion of required qty sitting there?
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Dear Kumar,
MRP run is as per the business requirements and it can be run daily or weekly or monthly (or individually for a material using
MD02.).In your case since already one PR for the required quantity has been existing in the system, when MRP is run on
the next day the system does not create any additonal PR for 100 quantity, and if you run with a MRP control parameter with
value 3 for planning type - delete and recreate planning data, then the system will delete the old PR and generates a new PR for
    the same 100 quantity.
    Check and revert
Also check this link to explore more,

  • RL and RLL Delivery type

    Hi All,
In other threads, I have seen that the delivery  type RL is used in Movement type 161 ( Returns to Vendor with reference to a Purchase Order )
and delivery type RLL is used in movement type 122 ( Return delivery to Vendor without reference to PO ).
But how does one create a delivery with a 122 movement type ? I thought that if we use MIGO Return Delivery and refer the Goods Receipt material document (101 movement type), the stock gets reduced automatically from our location. There is no delivery being created here. Is there a way to create a delivery using 122 movement type ? If so, how is it to be done ?
    Sathya

    Hey Sathya,
I am sorry for respondng late but I can see that this thread is not answered yet.
Scenario 1 - When you are returning goods with  MIGO Return Delivery and refer the Goods Receipt material document (101 movement type), then there is a BOX - Via Delivery. If you tick that box then system will post a Outbound delievery and DO NOT post material document and stock still be there in your premises. When you go to VL02N and pick the quantity and do the PGI then system will post automatically a material document of movement type 122.
Scenario 2 - If you are going to return the goods with PO and ticking returns button in that. In that case you can create a outbound delivery via VL10B and then do the picking adn PGI. IN this case system will post material document of movement type 161.
    Hope it helps you.

    Hi,
Please assign the Item Category ZJTI and MRP type (for eg: PD) assigned to the schedule line category in IMG under Sales and Distribution--> Sales ---> Schedule line -->Assign schedule line

  • Material type questions and fields on the MRP tabs

    Hi Gurus,
Can anybody please answer these questiosn for me?
    1) material types determine what views will be created in the materil master right?
    2) for materail types can we have procurement type as F, E or both?
    3) MRP controller and purchasing group fileds on the material master, what are their significance? like which field will take importance in what ccase is my questions?
Can anybody please help me in answering these
    thanks
    Anmusha

All the materials which can be produce inhouse that only can have Procurement type E and The materials which can be procured externally always can have F.
The materials which can be manufactured inhouse as well as procure from external source can have both type procurement
eg. Raw material will always have F
    Finish goods will have E
and SEMI finish can have both procurement type
the reason you can prodice inhouse, procure from outside or you can do sub contracting.
Yes, the material should have MRP controller to pull in MD07

  • Message No delivery type defined for supplying plant BP01 and document type

    Hi all,
I am trying to create a purchase order with a BP01 supplier and the BP02 division but I get the following error message No delivery type defined for supplying plant BP01 and document type.
When I create a PO with a BP02 supplier and the BP01 I do not get any message.
How can I fix it ?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Pierre

1)Create one Customer for Supplying Plant Sales area and assign this Customer no with Receiving Plant in OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO -
    > define Shipping Data for plants. and maintain the same sales area in your Supplying plant.
    2) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO.....for your Document Type: UB and Suppying plant Combination assign Del. Type NL and Checking rule RP
    3) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO...for your Supplying Plant and Receiving Plant combination Maintain Doc. Type : UB
Make sure you are maintaining Sales View for your Material at Supplying Plant.
    4) Maintain Shipping point at, SPRO----> Logistics Execution -
    > Shipping -
    > Basic Shipping Functions -
    > Shipping Point Determination for Plants.....there for your Loading group,Shipping Condition, Shipping Plant combination maintain Shipping plant..
Now Create STO in ME21N with Doc.type: UB at Receiving Plant.
Then Create Delivery in VL10B from Supplying Plant...
Then Do PGI in VL02N from supplying Plant.
Then do GR at Receiving Plant based on Outbound Delivery at Receiving Plant...
