" Activate Blutooth using wireless switch " My bluetooth is ON and visible to other device, Now i cant use wifi... please do source me help... thank you... Its like bought new machine, and cant do anything at all

Hello,
Was the wireless and bluetooth working when all that was on the system was Ubuntu?  And which version of Windows are you trying to install?
You may want to check out the product support pages for the Inspiron 3048.  Particularly the Quick start guide and the user manual.  The quick start guide will aid you in setting up your wireless card, depending on which version of Windows you have.  The user manual will help show some troubleshooting steps that you can use.
I would also recommend checking out our Networking and Wireless Support Center for more help in troubleshooting your problem.
I would also recommend checking out this thread that has one solution to the problem that you're seeing.
Please let me know if any of this helps, or if you resolve the issue in a different way.
Thank you,
Todd

  • E5510 driver install issues with 6300 wifi and Bluetooth

    I hope someone can help. I have an E5510 that the hard disk crashed on. When I reload the windows 7 disk and install all of the drivers I seem to have a conflict between the 6300 wifi driver and the bluetooth drivers. Everything looks good until I do the windows updates. Then the bluetooth goes away and I have a bunch of wifi driver errors in the device manager. you cant uninstall them.  Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi bwing777,
    Thanks for the post! It sounds like the Windows update could have a ‘Microsoft recommended’ Bluetooth driver update included. I would suggest running a system restore or uninstalling the Bluetooth device, then double checking the device drivers being installed by Microsoft Update and preventing them from updating automatically.
    For the recommended Dell drivers, and the order we suggest these drivers be installed, check out the guide below.

  • Dell Inspiron 8100 with W2K installed

    Dear all:
    I've just bought a new Dell Inspiron 8100 notebook with W2k installed. I configure the HD in a way that there is 6G space left unallocated and unformatted. Initially I plan to install solaris on that space. However when I search in this board I found many issues about Solaris install, not to mention for those notebooks.
    Well, I'm still in hope, has anyone ever successfully installed Solaris 8.0 on same platform? Or can suggest me a backup plan before I give it a try. Anyway, I won't like to waste $45 once I buy one.
    thanks,
    -Jun

    One workaround I have seen for laptop keyboards not funtioning correctly during install it to connect a USB keyboard to the system. I cannot guarantee it will work on this particular system, but its worth a try.

  • Hp deskjet 2514 driver install issue

    My deskjet 2514 driver will not install properly from the website or cd provided and this is very upsetting. I can't not use the printer from my laptop running window 7 at this point in time. I have runned the install wizard and troubleshooter and still can't get the driver installed and I have had no issues with a different hp deskjet1000c on my desktop running WinXP. I need to know as to why the driver is not installing at all. I saved the driver onto another cd (blank) to try it and still fails to install. How can this happen when the printer is brand new from the store and is useless.

    I have the same exact problem. I get driver 82801EB 24D2 during the initial install, then I went to troubleshoot and it says it found the problem and to install again and each time it gets the same driver issue but a different ending suffix. it goes from 24D2 to 24D7 and 24Dx.

  • Dell Inspiron E1705 Graphics Driver Problems

    Hello,
    I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 which I am having major graphics driver problems with playing World of Warcraft.  I used to play the game quite a while back and got back into it recently but i had to reset my computer one day and when I downloaded the game again the screen flashed black then gray over and over again and there was nothing I could do to exit this other then manually shutting off the laptop.  I had this problem a few years back but somehow the game became compatible.  Basically, I am thinking about buying a completely new graphics card for this computer but I am wondering which cards are compatible and if this will fix the problem.  The Inspiron had vista on it but i acquired Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit after i had heard that this may fix the problem.  I am getting a new computer in three or four months so I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars hoping for less than a hundred.  I will post the computer specs below:
    Windows 7 Ulitmate 32 bit
    2 gigs ram
    100gigs rom
    I believe the graphics driver is - Intel 945GM Graphics Controller
    Thanks,
    Matt

    That laptop is not going to get the job done with the latest version of WoW. The machine isn't good for anything other than basic Internet browsing and word processing by today's standards so just save up as much money as you can and buy a better laptop in a few months.
    I'd clarify - that specific model of E1705.  E1705s were available with discrete graphics, those will still make the grade for WoW.  (I have an E1705 with discrete graphics.)
    E1705s with discrete graphics and E1705s with integrated graphics used different motherboards - no way to upgrade from integrated to discrete.  There were some limited discrete-to-discrete upgrade options (such as the 7900GTX from that generation's XPS machines), but these were rarely economical.

  • Dell Inspiron 7000 series dual monitor issue

    Today tried to connect Dell Inspiron 7437 to external monitor using HDMI cord; it did not work. I changed setting to external monitor only and now cannot get an image on laptop screen or external monitor when HDMI cord is connected. Tried to restart computer; still goes to blank screen as soon as I plug in HDMI.
    1. How to a return to default setting for laptop display so it's only set to laptop?
    2. Is it possible to connect inspiron 7000 to external monitor with hdmi?
    Thank you

    Hello,
    Yes, it is possible to connect the Inspiron 7000 series to an external monitor using an HDMI cable.  Normally you can control how the video is displayed by using the <FN>+<F8> key combination.  Normally your options are LCD only, duplicate display on the LCD & the external monitor, or just display on the external monitor (projector mode).  Try that key combination to see if you can toggle between the available displays.
    One thing you also might want to check to see is if that monitor is set to a resolution that your system cannot handle.  Here is a link to the product support pages for the Inspiron 7437, and you will find user manuals on the page that will help explain which resolutions your video card can handle.  You may need to set your monitor back to default settings (see your user manual for that monitor for details) and that should enable your system to send video to it.
    Let me know if any of this helps or if you have additional questions.

  • Catalyst driver install issue

    Hey!
    I have an ATI Mobility radeon HD 5650 and i needed to run openCL on it, so i wanted to install catalyst-utils and the opencl-catalyst, however, i first installed the xf86-video-ati driver, so i tried installed using
    pacman -S catalyst-utils
    And i got the following output:
    [root@guimtr-arch ~]# pacman -S catalyst-utils
    resolving dependencies...
    looking for inter-conflicts...
    :: catalyst-utils and mesa-libgl are in conflict. Remove mesa-libgl? [y/N] y
    :: catalyst-utils and xorg-server are in conflict. Remove xorg-server? [y/N] y
    error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
    :: catalyst-utils: requires xorg-server
    :: ati-dri: requires mesa-libgl=9.1.1
    :: gdm: requires xorg-server
    :: glamor-egl: requires mesa-libgl
    :: intel-dri: requires mesa-libgl=9.1.1
    :: nouveau-dri: requires mesa-libgl=9.1.1
    So the problem is that catalyst-utils conflicts with xorg-server, but then if say yes i want to remove, it says it needs it for catalyst-utils
    Thanks in advance

  • SB Live 5.1 Plat/XP SP2 driver/install issues..

    I'm about to pull my hair out, maybe someone here can help me.....thanks in advance.
    My SB Li've 5. Platinum card and drivers/programs had been working fine for years. Shortly after the SP2 install, I started getting corrupted driver messages upon startup (unable to identify which), until finally startup failed altogether. Thinking that my hard-dri've was failing too (bad sectors), I decided to upgrade and do a complete re-install of win98se, XP and all my programs. The re-install has been going great (albeit slow), until I got to the install of my SB card and programs. Here's the issues I've been having since:
    -The Auto-Updater said I had the latest software & drivers before I installed anything from Creative
    -The SB Li've original CD says it's not compatible with my OS (XP Home update version/SP2 updated). I tried to download the programs, but it said I needed previous versions when trying to install. (Later, I installed the CD anyway per a previous topic I saw on this board.....startup was ok.)
    -Then I installed the Li'veDrvUni-pack found on the downloads page (28 Feb 03), and the other program updates. The remote control center & Recorder updated, the others say I have the latest version.
    Now I'm back to the same startup-freeze-reboot cycle that I had on my old HD. Booting in safe mode isn't easy to do either.
    Anybody have any suggestions to help me be able to use my computer and beloved Creative software without a win98-like experience? I'm at a loss at what to do......

    I'm a little seasoned in this stuff. It seems to me that your problem is not related to the Creative card, driver, or software. For this kind of help it might be more helpful for you to try posting your problems and all system information on forums like help.com (CNET), WindowsBBS, the Microsoft forums, computing.net, etc, etc.
    I could try to help troubleshoot you but I would be the only one helping you, whereas if you post to those other kinds of computer forums you'll get access to lots of folks who have varied experiences.
    You've got some work ahead, but keep at it and you'll get things running again.

  • T400 Intel GM45 driver install issues

    My T400 has switchable graphics using the Intel GM45 drivers as one option.  I'm trying to update the integated grpahics driver to 8.15.10.2226.  Unfortunately though, I've never been able to update GM45 display drivers with any Lenovo driver because the install process has always stopped with the error, "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".
    This morning, I decide to just uninstalled the Intel drivers and after a couple reboots now see the GM45 display drivers being reported as 8.15.10.2141.  This version doesn't appear in the list of Intel drivers provided by Lenovo but actually falls in-between two versions!
    The other issue that has surfaced now is when switchable graphics are enabled in BIOS, the system crashes with a blue screen during startup.  It will run discrete graphics mode only or Integrated graphics only but not both.  My ATI HD3400 graphics driver is 8.752.4-101022a-107489C, dated 11-15-10.
    Thanks for any suggestions or advice...
    T400 2764CTO
    Windows 7 x64

    The installer (.exe file) extracts the files before giving me the error message. So when the "Add New Hardware Wizard" pops up on a restart, I try manually pointing it to the driver in the intel ../DRIVERS/WIN/DISPLAY2/Graphics sub-directory. This didn't work the first few times I tried it. Then on the 4th or 5th time, it saw the driver and installed it. However, upon a restart, it popped up the "Add New Hardware Wizard" again and the VGA Controller was again listed under Unknown Devices in the Device Manager. Anyways, thought some more info might be helpful. Thanks again in advance for any help

  • 17" MacBook Pro Core i5 Boot Camp Nvidia 64 bit driver install issue

    Can't get correct Nvidia driver to install on 17" MacBook Pro core i5. Windows 7 64 bit is installed and running but its using a standard VGA driver for the video card so the full resolution of the display is unatainable. I've loaded the snow leopard windows 64 bit drivers, downloaded the BootCamp 3.1 64bit drivers and installed but each time I try to run it the Nvidia part of the installer closes with the error, you are trying to use a 32bit uninstaller for a 64bit program, and it exits. I've double checked to make sure I have the 64bit driver installer instead of the windows 7 32bit installers but I still get the error every time. I then downloaded Nvidias own driver for windows 7 64bit Gt 330M and it gets the same error. Please help?

    A number of people in this and other forum threads have reported problems with the Nvidia drivers when installing Windows 7 (64bit) on the new Macbook Pro (April 2010).
    The problems appear to be due to an installation of Boot Camp 3.0, followed by the update to Boot Camp 3.1. As Boot Camp 3.0 does not include the Nvidia graphics drivers for the
    Macbook Pro 2010, the graphics card is not recognized and the subsequent update to Boot Camp 3.1 does not complete successfully.
    The proper approach consist of installing Boot Camp 3.1, which is included in the system disk that shipped with the laptop. A copy of that version was posted e.g. here
    http://files.me.com/jason_fearing/an51fn. One should not use on the Macbook Pro 2010 the Boot Camp version 3.0 that shipped with the original DVD of Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
    I had the same problems that were reported in the forum, when installing Boot Camp 3.0 + Boot Camp 3.1 update on Windows 7 (64bit). First I had to manually run the 64bit Boot Camp setup, as suggested by others, and then I had to install the Nvidia drivers with the modified INF files from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/, as the graphics card was not recognized.
    However when I used the proper Boot Camp 3.1 that came with the laptop, everything went completely smoothly and the installation consisted of just clicking on the setup file.

  • WoW Wireless - Driver install issue WinXP

    I have my headset plugged in and working fine. However, I cannot get the software pack installed, so I cannot use the illumination features.
    The error I am getting is:
    File error [@S]CRC1,0xfbcd1916:0x3577324c
    This is using the SBWH_PCUSBDRV1_LB_1_01_0001.exe driver
    Any ideas how I can resolve this?

    That is a CRC error or Cyclic redundancy Check which means your download may be corrupted or the location the files extract to is full. if you have WinRAR or WinAce or even 7-zip, you can right click the executable file you download and choose EXTRACT To...........whatever location. I usually use a temp folder on the desktop for easy access. Once the files are downloaded, look inside that folder and find the setup.exe file. Run it and see if it installs. Usually when you double click Creative's executable it installs to c:\windows\temp or %user%/tmp or something similar. Those folders may be full of all your previous program installs. Try it my way and let us know how it goes.

    After installing the tape drive and doing a scsi probe I get the following errors:

    Hi All,
    Thanks for your help.
    The problem is now solved when i proceeded as followed:
    1. When i executed the command cfgadm -al
    the output showed the below information about the tape drive controller:
    c3              Connected        unconfigured             OK
    I disconnected the controller and then run the devfsadm -c tapes which took about 1 hour to complete and then, now the system can detect and tape and the first backup run
    successfully.
