Dell PowerVault MD3600f - Unable to upgrade firmware - Data validation error

Upgrade Controller Firmware wizard reports the following error.
1 problem detected.
Data validation error: The storage array cannot be upgraded as host port type representation in Controller A did not match with those of Controller B. Contact a technical support representative to resolve this issue.
What does this mean? and how to fix it.

yes 100% the error is reported from the dell mdsm software.
steps.
1. open mdsm application
2. right click on powervault md3600f
3. select upgrade raid controller module firmware
4. upgrade raid controller module screen apears and refreshes unit(s) status changes to no upgradeable.
5. error apears in the details window.
6. press view log.

Same issue, I have the linksys 300N V1.
Downloaded the latest firmware for V1.1 - WRT300N-v1.1_1.51.2_fw,0.bin (file name 3.6 MB)
And trying to upgrade results in a failure at 6 to 10% everytime? Is this because the V1.1 router is not the same as V1 and requires a different firmware?

Please help as the phone is very very sluggish and crashes easily.

The file "FW_E2000_1.0.03.002_US_20100907_code.bin" i previous downloaded from the linksys download page "http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys/E2000" was 0 bit.This may course the "Upgrade failure" problem !! Generally the DBAs are aware of the OPP service log. They can tell you the cause of the problem.
Anyway, how did you resolve the issue?

Date Validation Error in Chaining Management

While trying to copy data from another item in chaining management.
After selecting target and source, on pressing "Chain" I get the below error:-
Validation Error
The 'From Date' can not exceed the furthest out 'Sales Date'.

My earliest sales date from sales_data table is "12/27/2010"
The 'From Date' I am giving is the same as my earliest sales date '12/27/2010'.
I am getting this error even after entering dates after '12/27/2010'.
In my sales_data table, the sales_date for the source item ranges from '12/27/2010' to '12/26/2011'.
Please let me know if anyone has faced this problem and found the solution for it.

This is solved.
This was occurring because I had not run the forecast for the source item. The problem went away after running the forecast for the source item.

Date Validation Error

I'm currently using the DD-MON-YYYY format for my program. The item is for a Date of Birth, and I'm using a date picker to get the information. The problem I'm running into is that If someone types a date into the box (say 2/2/2009) instead of using the date picker, it is throwing an invalid month error (I'll come back to that part in a minute). My first question is this, is there anyway to set a Date Picker item to not allow people to type into it so that they HAVE to use the selector?
If that's not possible, then it brings up the other problem that I brought up. The invalid month error. I believe that what's causing the problem is my validation. I'm running a check to make sure that the DAte of Birth does not occur in the future. To do this, I'm running a PL/SQL Returns Boolean script. This script runs, and runs correctly, if the date picker is used to input the date, but if you type in the date using a different format, then it throws the error. The code that I'm using is this:

Thanks for all of the input. The way I have the validations setup is that I have three just for the date field. The first checks if it is null or not, the second checks whether it is a valid date (using the option in Apex itself), and the third one checks whether it occurs in the past or not. The thing is that it is hitting the future check and giving me an invalid date error (I tried putting in gggggg as the date, and it somehow got past the valid date validation.) and threw the invalid date error on the future check. I don't know if this changes anything or not, but I'm certainly not giving up yet.

Unable to upgrade firmware after upgarde from 10.4.2- 10.4.4???

I've had my G5 in storage for a little while and it was last running 10.4.2. First thing it did when connected to the web was to update me to 10.4.4. After this I noticed there was a firmware upgrade for the machine that will fix the problems I've been having with it.
Unfortunately, when I launch the installer it tells me that none of my volumes have the right OS version on them.
I've rebooted serveral times, reset the PRAM and finally the SMU and so far nothing's worked.

Unable to upgrade firmware - HP DreamScreen 100

I have updated the HP DreamScreen firmware to 1.6.1 and for the last few weeks I tried to update the firmware and received the following error: "Unable to confirm software version. Please check your network connection or try again later.".
I checked my my network connection and it is good. I am able to connect to SnapFish web site.

Power cycle the printer.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Print a Configuration Report to see which firmware version you have now. The latest Version is 20140129.
Printing a Configuration Report.
Connect the USB cable from the printer directly to the computer and run the firmware update again, if your version is older. (don't use a USB hub or Dock)
Be sure to select the newly created print queue for the USB connection while using the tool.

Uninstall the version of NSU that you have currently, and install the one from this link:
http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe
I guess it supports 6280. If you still get the error, take it to a Nokia Care Point to update the firmware.

"Word was unable to open the data source" error message in mail merge

I am trying to do a mail merge in Word 2008 for Mac and receive this message when I try to open the Excel file for the data. Can someone please help? I tried changing the filename to .xls (originally .xlsx) but it didn't work.

As far as I know, you cannot merge from a .xlsx data source in Mac Word 2008, and even though there is a KnowledgeBase article at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2604725 that suggests
that all you have to do is "rename" to a .xls, I think what you actually have to do is open the .xlsx in Excel and use Save As to create a .xls.
Generally speaking, you will be better off researching Mac Word questions in the relevant forum on Microsoft Answers, in this case here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2008-macword

Unable to upgrade iTunes for Mac - Error message

Whenever the updater comes up, I am prompted to update iTunes. As it's going through the installation, it always stops and then I receive the following error:
The update "iTunes" can't be installed.
The source media you are installing from is damaged.
Try installing from a different copy of the source media or contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
I'm not certain what I should do and would appreciate any help you can offer.

I'm having a similar problem. The error message I received was: 'Installer could not validate the contents of the "CoreFP" package. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.'
I only tried to update iTunes because for some reason my computer was not starting up and now it does not recognize that my iPod Nano is plugged in.

I'm a newbe to this community - so please excuse me if I've made some mistake during this request.
I'm replying here as opening a new thread was not possible for me.
This is DI related issue also (If you can separate it later - that is preferred).
I'm setting data_error=1000000 or any other very large number to have a continues testing for long time.
The scenario I'm experiencing is the following:
- Initially I get an I/O error from the storage device
- After a few more io's I'm getting DI errors.
The DI errors were checked by R&D and the reply and explanation were the following:
The guy showed an I/O going into the disk and receiving an IO error.
Later on the vdbench is trying to READ the same i/o that got the IO error as if it was actually written to the disk (which did not happen), thus receiving DI error.
Is this a bug in vdbench or expected behavior? and how can I avoid this scenario / running long test that do not stop upon single DI failure or ignore IO error?

Vdbench50401. I won't have system access for the next week so I am only 99% sure, but one of the later versions before 50402 indeed had a case where a failed write was later on re-read and an invalid corruption therefore was reported. 50402 definitely fixes that.
Note though, that the write error never should have happened in the first place so that in itself to me already is a data corruption.

Unable to upgrade EFI Firmware on MacBook Pro

I am unable to upgrade the firmware on my 15" MacBook Pro for some reason ... my current version is MBP11.0055.B03. I have downloaded the new firmware and followed the instructions ... yet, when I run the MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update utility and click Shut Down to install it and start the process, it pops up with the error "An unexpected error occurred (0). Your firmware cannot be updated." .... I've never had this kind of trouble updating firmware before.....
I have trashed the utility and downloaded it again, but I get the same results ... I have also repaired the disk permissions ... still no change. Any ideas??
