Dell switch 8024F - Front left LED is flashing red - no connect terminal

Hello,
I have a DELL 8024F switch not connected console me.
The console cable is correct.
The LEDs on the switch are as follows:
LED right power source is green.
Left power source does not exist.
LED fans are green.
Front left LED is flashing red.
What can happen?
I have inserted several SFP + and are led as if they were not inserted.
I get the feeling as if you did not initiate the boot process.
Any suggestions?
regards

Hi,
The blinking LED typical means a non critical error, but if you can’t connect to console and it doesn’t recognize any SFP+ transceivers, it could be a more serious error. If you unplug it and then reconnect power is there any change? Have you reseated the power supply and fan modules?

  • Blackberry Pearl 8100 randomly shuts off and the status LED flashes red

My pearl was reciently unlocked and changed from AT&T service to t-mobile. after this switch the pearl started having fits of rage where it will turn off randomly, weather any keys have been hit or even if it is idle. the device LED then flashes red, sometimes once, other times it will flash once every 4 seconds for hours. then it will randomly turn back on either to the exact screen it had been on before it powered off or it will reboot completley and start the normal start-up procedure and varify security checks just as if the battery were removed. i tried removing the batery and leaving the phone disassymbled for a few nights but in the morning the plague is back and unrelenting. sometimes all i have to do it pick the device up and it will shut off. other times i will be plugging away with it for 20 or so minutes on the internet and then it will die suddenly. it also cuts out in the middle of phone calls. if anyone can help, please let me know.
    blackberry 8100 v4.2.1.96

Is it a new phone? If it's less then a month old see if you can return it, otherwise you can try reloading the OS.
So if you're willing to try that, do the following.
First download and install the Desktop Manager from here (4.6 without Media Manager is recommended): https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22
Next you can use the Backup and Restore feature present in the software to make a backup of all the data on your phone.
Next download and install the handheld software from here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Afterwards try reloading the OS by connecting the device to your computer, open the Desktop Manager, then go into the Application Loader. This will open a wizard that steps you through reloading the OS onto your device. More detailed steps can be found here:

  • Pxi 8360 power led flashes red

I have a PXI 8360 MXI Express board mounted in a PXI 1050 chassis. I am seeing the power LED occasionally flash red and I lose communication with the computer. The power LED will return to solid green status after a few minutes but I am not able to do much with NI DAQ to test the system since it has failed self test. The suspicion here is the power supply may be bad but how do we check that.
The system with the computer has worked well over the past several years and we are concerned about possible damage from a power fluctuation that happened here around Christmas time.

    Hi Xavier,
The red flashing light is on the PXI 8360. I have not seen any flashing lights on the chassis.
The modules present in the system are
    PXI 8360  MXI Express
    PXI 4071  7 1/2 digit flex DMM
PXI 4110  Programmable DC power supply
    PXI 4110
    PXI 4110
    PXI 8252  1394 Host Adapter
    TB 2627  multiplexer terminal block
PXI 6289  M series multifunction DAQ
    SCXI 1306
    SCXI 1303
    SCXI 1303
    SCXI 1300
So far all testing has been done with all modules installed. Another person has tried reseating all modules to see if that would fix the problem but it does not.
The system will work fine for a few hours and then the blinking LED will begin and somewhere near that time the communications fail with the computer. The light will blink for a few minutes and then will return to solid green. Once the error has occurred it seems that the only way to re establish proper operation is to shut down the whole system, PXI chassis and computer, and restart. I saw one time where the power LED on the 8360 went from flashing red to solid green when the computer was turned off.
The computer is  a Dell Precision 690 with PCIe 8361.
I will be opening up the chassis hopefully in the next day or two to check fuses and voltages where I can.

  • PXI Chassis Power LED Flashing Red: What to do?

My NI PXI-1042 keeps blinking red the Power LED. I know it means the voltage is out of the specs. What to do?

    FilipeTaveiros wrote:
But it is not continuously red.. It is blinking red.. Thanks for your help. Anyone?
This is copied right out of the manual:
The chassis power switch has an integrated LED. This LED indicates one
    of three different conditions:
    • If the power switch LED is steady green (not flashing), the chassis is
    powered on and operating normally.
    • If the power switch LED is flashing green, the air-intake temperature
has exceeded the chassis operating range.
    • If the power switch LED is flashing red, the power supply outputs are
    not within voltage regulation requirements.
You either have a power supply problem, or you are loading it down with too many modules.  Try running it empty and see what the light does.

  • Front LED Light Flash Once Every 3 Seconds

As what I read from the previous post, the front LED light flash once every 3 seconds meant that rams were not installed. However, I can turn on the G5 (Tower) couple days ago. After I came back from vacation, it did not allow me to turn it on. In addition, I have already tried to reseat the ram, and it did not work. Any suggestion to fix this problem?

Hi Teddy, and a warm welcome to the forums!
After I came back from vacation, it did not allow me to turn it on.
If it was unplugged from the AC that could drain the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan...
See which one your G5 has...

  • 32AV502U Front Panel LED Flashing, No Video/Audio

We had a short power outage last night and ever since my 32AV502U set will not turn on. Instead the power LED just flashes on and off in a patter of long, short, short. I have tried leaving it unplugged for hours and still no luck. I held the power button down while it was unplugged too, but couldn't get it to do anything other than just have the LED flash.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to fix this.
    Thanks

I've got the same issue. I found this TV at the electronics recycling area of my local landfill, so I have nothing invested in it so far, except a bit of research time. I tried calling Toshiba Customer Service to see if they would tell me what the long short short flashing light means, but since it's out of warranty, they wanted to charge me $35 to answer the question. It looks like someone tried working on it already. I got Toshiba's Service Material and reference Tips document for this TV, and followed the section for Dead Set on page 5. I do get the standby 5 volts on the P802 connector, but following the flowchart to the next step, I do not get 4.3 volts on pin 13 when the on/off button is pressed. The next step at pin 14 showing less than .07V also fails. That results in a "Suspect a problem with the power supply module. There's no further module level troubleshooting that I could find.
None of the capacitors are bulging, so that takes away an easy check. There hasn't been much in the way of component level troubleshooting that I could find.

  • My camera always freezes when I try to switch to front camera view. How can I fix this?

The original camera app on my iPod touch does not work. The camera shutter would not open. I purchased and downloaded another camera app and it works- only the camera freezes when Itouch the icon in top left corner to get it to switch to front camera view. Has anyone had this problem? If so is there something I can do to correct it?

Have you tied the standard fixes:
    - Reset:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    -restore the iPod from backup
    - Restore the iPod to factory defaults.
    - Also look at this long-running previous discussion on your problem.

  • Can I Bind a Front Panel LED to a specific element in an array of booleans?

In LabVIEW 2010 I have a string of LEDs. I have and array of boolean values that contain the values that the LEDs should indicate.
What is the best way to connect the LEDs to elements in the array of booleans?
Can I Bind a Front Panel LED to a specific element in an array of booleans?
    How is this done?
    Can anyone show sample code?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Imagine that you have an I/O card that provides 128, 256 or 1024 digital inputs and the requirement is to have an LED on the front panel to represent the state of each digital input. This frequently occurs.
Wiring that many digital inputs individually is a royal pain and then some !
It would make sense to have one shared variable as an array of Booleans that represents the status of all inputs and then use data binding instead of wiring each individually. The individually wiring would violate all recommendations on diagram size and fan out.
Frequently scanned For loops to update all of the LEDS would take alot of CPU time.
Wouldn't it be MUCH better if PSP could be used to update the LEDs whenever the data changed (as it is supposed to do) ?
In my case I have a LabVIEW Yaskawa servo driver that provides me information about 16 servo drives that may be connected. I have LEDs on the front panel to represent some of that status for each individual drive. But Yaskawa provides the information on the drives as an array of clusters of information for each drive, which I perform some business logic on and turn into shared array of Booleans to feed the LEDs (and some banks of switches as well).
Unfortunately LabVIEW does not seem to have any way to bind the LEDs (and Switches) to individual elements in the shared array of Booleans. It is just not that smart. Even with only several banks of 16 LEDs and Switches, wiring them individually using Decimate Array of Index Array functions is a royal pain and makes the block diagrams very large. It would be much worse and almost unreasonable to do if the size of the information was much larger.

  • SG 200-08 All LED lights flashing green after power failure

Thinking back, about a month ago I updated the firmware (sorry I can't check version at the moment). The switch has been working fine since then. Today I needed to move some power cables and the switch lost power. Now ALL of the LED lights are flashing green and I can't access the switch. I've tried setting a static IP on my laptop to 192.168.1.20, mask 255.255.255.0, and accessing the switch on 192.168.1.254, but there's no response. I've tried holding in the reset button for at least 30 seconds while the switch is powered on, AND while powering it on. None of that has worked. Also when I first power it on, the system LED flashes orange very quickly for a second or so, then all of the LEDS start flashing green.
    What am I missing?

Its been a few months, so I don't remember the details, but I think it was a combination of using the reset button and then opening a browser to the default IP address. If you look at the screenshot I posted it has the IP address I used. I downloaded the firmware again and the webpage in the screenshot is where the router is asking me for the location of the firmware I downloaded. After it finished reloading the firmware it worked again.

  • How many LAG ports on the Dell PowerConnect 8024F?

    My new deployment
    1 x Equallogic PS4110XV with 2 controllers / 4 network ports
    3 x ESXi 5 Hosts
    2 x Dell PowerConnect 8024F 10 Gbps switch
2 x network ports from the Equallogic PS 4110XV will be connected to each of the PowerConnect 8024F switches
So how many LAG ports do I need to created on each of the PowerConnect 8024F switches?
Some says 4 and some says 2?
Or will it be better if I were to do stacking? I think the 8024F is capable of doing stacking..
I've attached a diagram of the setup. Thanks.

Is your question on how to set up link aggregation for the connections to the ESXi hosts or to the SAN?

  • "Front Left", "Front Right" from the same speak

I am having an issue I am hoping to get answered. I have Boston Acoustic speakers which I am currently using on a new computer with a SoundBlaster XiFi. I can only hear sound from the left channel (The speaker that plugs INTO the right speaker that plugs into the Subwoofer). When I go to run an diagnostics test, it says :
Speaker : Front Left... Front Right
    Speaker 2: (Nothing)
    Speaker 3: Rear Left
    Speaker 4: Rear right.
I know that this is not a problem with the hardware as I can plug these speakers into the computer right next to me & they work fine. I see that this problem crops up very often on these forums, I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
    Thanks

No jack problem at all. I have also suffered myself some problems with "speaker switching" with the X-Fi. Only a full reinstall of all creative drivers has solved it, at least for me. I have posted it some times here, but I always get silence as a response. A common problem is that front right speaker dissapears when it was working perfectly.
It's a bug, no matter what Creative says (unfortunately they say nothing), there are a lot of posts regarding this

  • Front Panel LEDs problems for Mega 180

Hi, it's rigth one year I got a Mega 180, and I've not ended yet to tune and optimize it
    I admit it's like a hobby now
I immediately ask you for my LEDs problems.
I have read many topics and maybe other people have the same my problem, also if I'm not sure if they treat about the Front Panel LEDs when they speak about the "LCD Display".
I have some switched off LEDs in my front panel, in the "time" displayng and in the volume bar: I have to substituite them? Someone have done it before? It's possible to remove the front panel or I have to disasseble all the pc
    Or it's a firmware problem?
I also thank all people that cured the section of optical devices compatibility: last week I bought a new Pioneer 111D, because my LG GSA-4167B was not suitable in the PC mode, for DVD playback.
In fact I had many problems for the DVD fluently playback: I have spent 4 months trying new video codecs and also substituting the video card, then I finally have understood that was an optical device problem.
The Pioneer 111D was perfect in the PC mode, but then I had problems for HI-FI playing mode
Then I finally used my old Pioneer 108, that I had in the old desktop, and all work (I pray) fine both in HI-FI and PC mode.
I'll be very happy also to describe to whom that will ask me, my experience with the Mega 180 "assembling", during the last year, hoping it could be useful for other people.
    Thanx

Initially, you might just hook your ring to a case structure to
    determine which frame exe
cutes. You can put the terminals for the
Booleans in the different diagrams and about the only other thing to
keep in mind is that you probably want a delay in the loop.

  • Audigy 2 zs diagnostics: only front left & right sound on megaworks 550

When I test the speakers with creative thx console, creative diagnostics or spekaers settings, I can hear front left and right sound on my 5. system for EVERY channel that is tested. All the software is updated and speakers are connected in the right way.
If i try playing games, it's impossible to select eax sound.
Problems started when I've uninstalled drivers of my old SB PCI28 sound card after the installation of new audigy drivers. Before uninstalling pci28 drivers everything was working ok.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall all the software but nothing changed. HELP!!

You said you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, did you uninstall the drivers aswell then? Try a cleansweep, more details are in the FAQ.
If it's not letting you select EAX then it sounds like the card isn't installed correctly, or isn't recognised correctly. Check in Device Manager and see if there is any mention of the card there, and if there are any error messages/error codes.

  • Mac Pro will not boot. Power led just flashes

When I start up, the HD spins but then the power led starts flashing at a constant rate. It also never gets to the gong. I tried everything on the support pages.

Power On Self-Test Beep Definition - Part 2.
It would be helpful to be more specific about the flashes such as the sequence, timing, etc. So, you will need to examine the above and its links to see if you find something descriptive of what you have.
