Delta and Init Process when R/3 is connected to multiple BW systems

I have a scenarion where one R/3 system connected to 2 BW systems.
In R/3 we plan to have a LO extractor feeding delta to 2 BW systems. I understand delta works fine as delta queue in RSA7 is target system specific.
How are the initializations handled?
What happens if delta in one of the BW system breaks and we need to re-Init?
How would re-init from one BW system affect the delta/init in the other BW?

Hey. I'm assuming both BWs are pointing to the same system/client. I do not have actual experience doing this as I would be very hesitant to have multiple BW systems trying to get delta data from the same source (especially with how logistics behaves).
I know this isn't answering your true question, but could you connect BW system B to pulling the data from BW system A? So something like:
R/3 (logistics) => BW A 1st layer DSO
BW A 1st layer DSO => BW A reporting DSOs/Cubes
BW A 1st layer DSO => BW B reporting DSOs/Cubes
In this way, reporting in BW systems A and B are from the same DSO stage. This would help with any synch/data consistency issues. If A or B reporting providers get corrupted, or whatever, either could be reloaded from BW A 1st layer DSO and everything is still in synch.
Not sure if this helps you or not, but thought I would offer it up as this would probably be my approach.

First of All Please check whether you have authorization to delete data from ODS/Cube
Make sure that there is enough space (DB02) in the system to do deletion. And also make sure that there is free back ground processor before starting the job.Go to SM37, find deletion job and check logs. Maybe there will be some messages which tell you why request was not deleted
Apply Note:592620 and follow Case 1. Try this in Development and then go ahead. You need to open the client inorder to do it.
I would like to ask actually whats the error u r facing, Is the request failed due to some error record.
Bear in mind if the error request has any successive requests (later requests than the error request) then they would also get deleted so you need to reconstruct them
So be careful.

Delta and Init Upload

I have some confusion regarding the difference b/w delta upload and Init load.
Are they related to each other, if yes then how? Cant get a clear explanation for this.
Secondly, If i have loaded data into a cube from an ODS with request no for eg. R1 and other req no with R2. If after the successful request and data going into the cube..after some time i change the req. R1 status from green to red, will i be able to view the data in the cube coming from req R1?

Restoration is relatively simplistic. Here's whatcha do. Plug your ipad in, open itunes, now if itunes doesn't recognize it then you may have a problem, anywho, click on the ipad in the devices interface and go to the info tab, click restore, and it'll be just like it was when it left the factory. To get you data back, it should ask if you would like to use a backup, just select the backup you want and you'll be good to go. That is if you regularly backed up your iPad.

you can achieve this but make sure that you select repair full option for full load IP.
you have this option in scheduler in menu bar

My brand new iPhone 5 keeps saying "Connection Unsuccessful: Make sure "___" is turned on and in range" when I try to connect to my BlueTooth Stereo.

I just bought a brand new iPhone 5 (White and Gold) and have been having trouble keeping it connected to my BlueTooth Stereo. The stereo was purchased brand new back in September and is current on all software. Before I had my iPhone 5, I had the iPhone 4 and had no troubles with it connecting or remembering to connect to the stereo when it was in range. Now, in order to connect to it, I have to first "forget the device" then search for it again, find it, and connect. As soon as I turn either the stereo off, turn the iPhone off, or switch modes on the stereo (to CD mode, radio, etc) it loses the connection and does not pick it up again. It still shows up in my list of available bluetooth devices, but when I try to connect it says "Connection Unsuccessful: Make sure '____' is turned on and in range" which of course, it is.
I bought this stereo because I am a music teacher and use my phone frequently when teaching my classes. You can probably imagine how cumbersome it becomes when after each class if I have alternated between using my iPhone to play music or switching to CD mode, I then need to "forget the device" and follow the steps I outlined above to get it working again.
Has anyone else had this problem with the new iPhone and does anyone have a solution (I HOPE!!!!!)

Ipad Locked(forgotten passcode) and error message when I try to connect to itunes

Ok so I've forgotten my passcode to my Ipad. I have tried too many times so now the screen says Connect to itunes. When I try to connect it there is a error message saying: Cannot connect to itunes becuase it is locked with a passcode. I have never used this itunes computer with my ipad so I haven't synced or anything. Is there anything I can do to unlock my IPad? Thanks in advance.

If you can't remember the Passcode, you need to restore the device from the computer it was last synced with.

User authantication error when we try to connect to a backend system

Hi,
We have a stand alone webdynpro application where in we are calling some rfc function modules. We have imported the models using jco connection in a development system by providing the system/user info. When we deploy and run the application in the development system the application works fine. But when we deploy the application in different test systems it fails with user authantication error while triggering those rfc function modules. Can any one help us how we can identify the problem?
We basically dont know with what system/user information its trying to connect to back end.

THere can be Multiple reasons for this problem
1.if you are using JCO connections with UID/Password authomtication,make sure that Connection is working properly by testing it in Web dynpro console administrator.
2.if you are using SSO authontication mechanism in your JCO Connections,make sure that you have UID in the back end system(BAckend Quality system) and your portal system is connected to Backend quality sytems using SSO.

WD Exception when pointing ESS Travel & Expense to multiple backend systems

Hi All,
I have a query regarding ESS Travel Management pointing to multiple backend systems.
ESS MSS is installed on a single portal(Portal1).
ESS MSS is currently pointing to Backend System1. The requirement is that ESS Travel from Portal1 should point to various multiple Backend Systems therefore making ESS Travel region-specific.
Is this possible? and if so what are the pros and cons?
This is what I have attempted:
1. Followed the documentation from "Multiple Back End Support for the Adaptive RFC Model" [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/af/84a34098022a54e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm]
Therefore, I created 2 JCOs namely: SAP_R3_Travel_R1 and SAP_R3_Travel_MetaData_R1 pointing to Backend Sytem 2. SSO and JCO tests successfully.
2. On the iview properties for ESS Travel & Expenses, I added the following to the Application Parameters: sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_Travel:_R1&sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_Travel_MetaData:_R1
3. I additionally created a system in the Portal under System Configuration pointing to Backend System2 and adding the SAP_R3_Travel_R1 as the default System Alias. Do I need to add SAP_ITS_XSS and SAP_WebDynpro_XSS system alias, if so how since it is seeing as redundant because it is added in the system I created for Backend System1.
4. I then tested one of the ESS Travel & Expenses iviews. I have the following error:
Accessing System XYZ is not possible because RFC Metadata was retrieved using System ABC. Please assure you have configured the RFC Connections properly. A Server restart may be necessary!

DELTA AND INIT TO CUBE Simple

Please help me with this, I have a bad red delta request coming from billing ods in bmw cube so i deleted the request, but bmw cube has other green request coming from order and delivery which is fine green and success.
now to resolve this i deleted the red delta request of billing and also deleted every thing from ods and i redo the set up table and did init to billing ods but now when init goes to bmw cube it fails please tell me the exact step to resolve this please tell me how can i set up the delta again so that init from billing ods goes to cube
help me with navigation step.i do not want to delete the entire data from cube to resolve this

Let me try to get it.
Your ODS has delta coming in for a specific fiscal period? Is there no overlap (meaning one billing document coming in as new into the ODS and cube is not changed in the next period)?
If not, there may be a problem.
Consider the case where you had a document which came in earlier (successful) request, and is there in the cube (say with a original qty of 25). Now, say your last delta had a change to it (of qty increased by 5, say), and this delta failed to go to the cube. Now you are doing a full load with repair for this period.
Since you are doing a full load, it will bring a qty of 30; however your cube has the earlier record (with a value 25), so instead of total 30 (correct) you will end up with a value of 55(incorrect).
The difference here is that your delta which failed had a qty of 5 (incremental amount) for this doc, but now you are bringing the qty of 30 with a full load.
This is a theortical scenario which can cause inconsistency to your data. If there is no case where an earlier existing record was being changed in the last delta (ie last delta had all new records) then you should be ok.

No warning and no processing when content enrichment output is different from config

configuring the content enrichment, you provide the web service's outputted managed properties.
If the output contains less managed properties than configured, that's not a problem, but if it contains
more than configured, then the content enrichment fails without any warning at the crawl log, even if Error is configured to warning.
For example:
config.OutputProperties = "Author","Title"
and the web service is outputting two properties "Author" and "Title" - no problem.
But if you reconfigure config.OutputProperties = "Author", with no change to web service which still outputs "Author" and "Title", the result is that nothing is saved to "Author".

I've switched to FailueMode = Error and it does write entries to the crawl logs, but only one and not quite a helpful one:
"The item failed due to an error occurring when sending or receiving data to the external content processing enrichment web service."
It's always the same message, no matter what the error was, a timeout or a parse error (which can be seen at ULS).

Everytime I open my itunes it says that my iphone is conncted and starts to tell me it is syncing the content, how can I fix this? thanks

It sounds like Wifi syncing may be enabled in iTunes. The article iOS: Syncing with iTunes found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386 outlines how to enable Wifi syncing but rather than checking the box that enables it, you would uncheck it.
Wi-Fi syncing
Open iTunes
To set up Wi-Fi syncing, connect your iOS device to your computer with the included USB cable. Select your device under Devices on the left-hand side.
In the Summary tab, select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi".
Whenever the computer and the iOS device are on the same network, the iOS device will appear in iTunes, and you can sync it. The iOS device will sync automatically when all of the following are true:
The iOS device is plugged in to power
iTunes is open on the computer
The iOS device and the computer are on the same Wi-Fi network
While the iOS device appears in the left-hand column of iTunes, you can select the content tabs and configure sync options.
Click Apply or Sync to sync the iOS device.
If the iOS device does not appear in the Devices section or you are unable to sync, please see this article for troubleshooting.

I installed an update and since then, when I try to connect to a website I get a black screen telling me to wait for 40 seconds and then to 'skip ad'.

Thank you for responding. I'm not sure if my complete original message came through. It was just today that an automatic update notice came through, and I installed the update that was offered. So I have to guess that version — 10.1.10 — is the latest version that's available to me. My OS is 10.6.8. Again (in case the complete message isn't appearing), I'm on an older Mac, specifically MacBook 2.1. Perhaps this is the problem, and I never should have updated a few years ago. If so, I wonder if there's any way I can go back to that earlier version that worked well for me, rather than the last few versions, which have not.
