Delta changes from CRM 4.0 to CRM 5.0

Hai guys,
I got the documentation regarding the CRM 5.0 from the service.sap.
Is there a way that I can get the Delta changes wrt to midldeware,ISA etc from 4.0 to 5.0,
It would be glad if any of you guys can share the info

You want to read the "Release Notes" documents. These are the documents that contain all delta changes between various versions of SAP modules. Here is the link for CRM 4.0 ot 5.0 release notes (also on Service marketplace):

In the future, when looking for deltas, just remember the term "release notes"

Delta Changes from CRM to ERP

Middleware gurus,
Our delta changes with the BPs from CRM to ECC are generating a "Message type is unknown". Has anyone ever seen this? It works fine from ECC to CRM. We're on CRM 5.0 and ECC 5.0.

Hi,
Please check the Master Data Syncronization settings under ERP->SPRO->Cross Application Components->BP-> Master Data Syncronization.
You need to define the required BP Role, Groups and map accordingly to Account groups. Since you are facing problem with CRM-> ERP, you need to check the settings for CRM->ERP only.

Filter Delta Upload from CRM into R3

Hi SAP gurus,
How can i set the filter for delta upload from CRM into R3? As far as i know, the filter settings in R3AC1 is only applicable for data exchange from the source system R3. What if i would like to filter the data where the source is CRM instead? Did i miss out anything in the configuration? I have been able to filter data coming from R3, but NOT data from CRM going into R3.
Would appreciate your help on this.

How to distinguish Delta download from CRM to Mobile from Initial download

Hi guys,
I checked out that when downloading from CRM to CDB (for mobile), the inbound queue is always CRI_XXX..._CDBI.
For data load from CRM to R/3, I remember that initial load and delta load, the inbound queue names would end up in differnet words (I for initial load, D for Delta load). But for load from CRM to CDB, it seems that only 'I' exists.
My question is, how can we distinguish delta load from initial load via the queue name? saying that the queue name is
CRI_CSA_BUPA_INIT_CDBI, can we simply judge that it's an initial load or delta one?

Yes, CRI_CSA_BUPA_INIT_CDBI is the queue created for BUPA initial load from CRM to CDB. Delta loads from CRM to CDB would create no queues - they would be handled in the objects queue itself (for eg. CSABUPA*) queues.

For Functionality Differences pls refer to the below site -

After opening the site, please select the Source Release Version which is 4.6 b Then Select the Target Release Version which is "mySAP ERP 2005" or ECC 6.0
Select the Solution Area like Financials, Human Capital Management, Sales....
Select module like MM, PP, SD, QM.....
Click on Search
Then it displays the Release Version and the Delta Functionality. which can be downloaded to a word document if required.
and also check the release notes of ECC 6.0 in service.sap.com.

Problem in delta changes from ECC to CRM for Customers created in CRM systm

Dear all,
I am replicating customers between CRM and ECC and vice versa. The Delta changes are replicating from CRM to ECC system, but not happening from ECC to CRM system.
I have created some customers in CRM system and changed some address data, those changes are perfectly updating in back end ECC system.
But when I make some changes for the same customer from ECC system, those changes are not updating back in the CRM system.
I could not get the problem where exactly is coming. I request your expertise to help me in resolving this issue. I believe all middleware and pide settings are correct.

Thank you very much for your prompt response, I have checked Customer_main adapter object in R3AC1, no filter has been found there.
and in R3 table TBE31, I could not find entry for CRS_CUSTOMER_COLLECT_DATA for APPLK = BC-MID.
As well in CRMRFCPAR table I could see X assigned to field named with 'In Queue Flag', but I could not find DISCARDDAT for CRM (User) settings.
Kinldy help me to resolve the issue.

Queue is getting struck for every delta change in CRM 5.0

Hi Middleware gurus,
The queues are getting struck with status 'READY' for each of these following scenarios:
1. Individual new sales order upload from CRM to R/3 (CRM - SMQ1)
2. Individual sales order delta changes upload from CRM to R/3 (CRM - SMQ1)
3. Individual new materials donloaded into CRM from R/3 (CRM - SMQ1)
4. Material delta change download from R/3 to CRM (CRM - SMQ2)
5. Knowledgebase delta changes download from R/3 to CRM (CRM - SMQ2)
I have to manually release the queue everytime, so that the changes can be uploaded. Am I missing something?
By the way individual new sales order created in R/3 and delta changes on R/3 orders are getting replicated into CRM without any problem.

Hi Kishore,
We had similar issue before. Do not use the replication scenarios X,Y or Z. You have use the scenario A which will solve your problem for sales order replication issues. Please refer to the note 705200. For rest of issues make sure in both the systems the queue scheduler is running. If not running actively then register the each queue in both the systems using SMQS and SMQR. If still the issue is not solved then let me know.

BP Changes From CRM to R/3

Hi everyone,
We performed an initial download from R/3 to CRM.
Delta changes are working fine. Changes in R/3 are coming to CRM.
Our problem: we don't want any changes to be transferred from CRM to R/3, which sometimes cause inconsistencies.
How can I stop that?
We have the same situation in materials so please advise also for materials.

The solution in case of BP only:
Changes from R/3 to CRM will take place if you tick "Transfer to ERP".
Do not tick the same, and data will not flow from CRM to R/3.
Also check your middleware settings.

User exit transfer SO changes from CRM to R3

Dear All,
I want to add enhancement by using user exit to do item changes check and to change order delivery block when Sales Order changes are transferred from CRM to R/3.
According to SAP docs, the user exit is CRM_GENERIC_R3_IN , but there is no further documentation on how to insert the modification .
Could anyone provide me a sample of this enhancement ? Or is there another way to do this ?

Delta Load from CRM- picking up 0 records

Hi Gurus,
Iam trying to load CRM data into BW ODS using datasource 0crm_quotation_I. This load used to work fine about a month ago in Delta mode. But it started failing and so I ( my colleague deleted all the old requests) did an full repair and then an Init w/o data and when i schedule teh delta iam getting 0 records. Can anyone please throw light on this?/
Also is this could be an issue with Delta queue in CRM?/

Hi rajani with Init the process will take long. just for 50000 records it took 3 hrs and if we do init it will load all teh records from CRM and will take plenty of time. so we did a selective full load and used a program to convert them into full repair and thn did an int...

Middleware debug problem for BP's from CRM to ECC

I tried few steps to debug BP changes from CRM to ECC but nothing is working ...
I deregistered the Queue thru SMQS, made changes to BP.. went SMQ1 select the Queue name Double Click 2 times.. then select the Tool bar (Debug LUW).. I'm getting "Nothing was selected"
When is see SMW01, BDOC is processed green and data is transferred to ECC.
I want to do debug the BP queue and go to ECC system as some of my custom EEWB fields are not passing to ECC correctly.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi,
Put a break point in FM SMW3_MFLOW_UPDATETASKBDOC.
Create a BP and before save type /h to activate debug, mark update debugging option.
When stops in FM SMW3_MFLOW_UPDATETASKBDOC you must be sure to set header-dbgmode = 'X' this will make the bdoc stay stopped in SMW01.
Go to SMW01 and type /h and process the bdoc.
Put a break in FM CRM_UPLOAD_AFTER_MAP_HANDLER and be sure to change LV_SYNCHRON = 'X' this will allow you to connect in ECC.
Put a break-point in the "CALL TRANSACTION" command. Change the mode of call transaction and you be able to debug XD* update.

R/3 Delta changes in BW

Hello Everyone,
When we do an Init or Full data extraction from R/3 to BW for the first time for any extractor, the data gets loaded in BW. When we load delta changes from R/3 by doing a delta load into BW, how does BW know to extract only the changed R/3 records and not all records.
How are R/3 changes tracked in BW? where is the previous request information stored in BW?

After initial full upload if there is any change in the records or any new records found then only the delta will work, if there is no new records then even u do the delta there is no updation..
One morething in RSA7 of detail view u will get the previous posted records and next delta records..the old records will me maintained untill the old request is successful and a new request was reached in r\3 from BW.

You should be able to find the release documentation for ECC6.0 on the help.sap.com website. Will post a link if I come across it.
I doubt there would be too many (if any) changes to the data dictionary though.
