Can any one tell me the
1--Delta Flow from R/3 to BW --when the doc is posting where it is saved fro there hw to BW picks delta records ? (Interview Ques)
2--we hav 4 type of datasources in Generic
1. table 2. views 3. func 4. infoset query
can anyone tell me the Differences betwn them
when to go particular datasources in real time ?

Actually in logistics the delta is of three types so it depends on the type of delta we have
1. Direct delta.
When a Document is posted it first saved to the application table and also directly saved to the RSA7 (delta queue) from here it is being moved to BW.
so u can understand that for Delta flow inR/3 Delta queue is the exit point.
2. Queued Delta
When a document is posted it is saved to application table, and also saved to the Extraction Queue ( here is the different to direct delta) and you have to schedule a V3 job to move the data to the delta queue periodically and from their it is moved to BW.
3. Unserialized V3 update
When a document is posted it is saved to application table, and also saved to the Update tables (T-code SM13) and you have to schedule a V3 job to move the data to the delta queue periodically and from their it is moved to BW.
So the actual flow is
Application tables> Delta management-> RSA7---> BW.
And to your second question
We build a generic datasource on a table when we have to bring all the data of that table like its the only table we have to extract from.
But if we have multiple tables and we need few fields from each table we will create a view on all the tables by selecting the fields we want to extract and create a datasource to extract it. (its nothing but a virtual table)
If we have to do some calculations in the R/3 r else have to apply some business logic we will use function module.
infoset query i am not sure.....(i am also looking forward for an answer for this point.)
i think i am correct on the info i have given if anything wrong please correct me gurus.

Hi Guarav,
you can use logical databases like FTI_TR_PERIODS to create own reporting based on SAP queries, but they don't contain any data.
The cash flow data you see in TPM13 is from the TRL* tables and views, eg. TRLV_TRANS_POS or TRLV_FLOW. This data is valuation area dependant. To see transaction data you should check TRD* tables, for security account class data you better use TRS*.
Nevertheless, for BI reporting SAP offers some extractors with which you can get data from Treasury and furnish it to BI. For example, with 0CFM_INIT_POSITIONS you set initial position (like TPM12). With 0CFM_DELTA_POSITIONS you can then provide positions for further key dates and create BI reports that valuate delta flows. The DataSource 0CFM_O01 contains information about all position relevant flows, 0FM_O02 about reversed flows.
Extractor 0CFM_DELTA_POSITIONS and other 0CFM* extractors are generally based on logical databases, so you can e.g. create a query based on FTI_TR_PERIODS to check results that would be extracted to BI using 0CFM_DELTA_POSITIONS.

Cannot deactivate delta load of materials from R/3

Hi,
we have a problem deactivating the delta load of materials from R/3.
I deactivated the adapter objects MATERIAL and PRODUCT_MAT in R3AC1.
I even deleted the class MATERIAL in R3AC4.
The Bdoc's are not created any more, but the queues are still getting generated in SMQ2:
R3AD_MATERIA***
Am i wrong in assuming that this settings have to prevent queue creation?
Is this an error that anyone encountered or are there any other settings that I forgot to check?

I have a similar problem. I have to deactivate delta flow of materials from ONE SITE only (F6A) and keep it flowing from other sites N6A and A6A - our CRM system is connected to multiple backends.
For the required site, i have removed all the conditions in the filter settings but still delta queue keeps on coming. Also, the queue is in SYSFAIL state - we are not able to download material from other sites - supposedly material from the other two sites gets queued up in this stuck queue.
Is there any way to stop the download from one particular site only?

Delta Compressed and Deleted in the stage before .

Hi all,
i have a critical issue with an Delta logic in one of my Cubes.
A wrong ( logical ) Delta request was already Compressed in the Cube and Deleted in the stage before . This avoids further Delta Rquests in the Cube. By trying to request a delta i will be prompt to repeat the missing delta and it fails because of the missing request in the ODS. I cant reload the cube because of 14 Mio records this would take to long.
anyone an Idea how to correct the delta flow without reloading everything?

see in rsa7 the content of the repeat, are you able to do a selective delete from your cube to remove only that data?
If you can't manage that, you could set a repair request that fits the data you'll need to delete (date range? product? customer?) and only load the repair in the cube.
To have the delta work fine again, set the original request to red and delete in the ODS as well and then run the repeat, you can't run the repeat as long as the request is in the ODS.

Direct delta and Quedue delta

There are 2 Types of Delta Process in LO .
Direct Delta
Queued Delta.
<b>Direct Delta Flow :</b>
Transaction -> V1 Document Update -> V2 Statistical Update -> RSA7 (Delta Q)
From RSA7 you extract the deltas by Delta run Periodically .
Here Each document opsting is considered as 1 LUW .
Use this when the delta generation is Low .
<b>Queued Delta</b>
Transaction -> V1-> V2-> LBWQ -
> RSA7 (Delta Q ).
10,000 Records are treated as 1 LUW and sent to RSA7 in queued delta .
Using Delta run you fetch the deltas into BW .
Use this method if the delta record records generation is more .

Urgent: Replicating Delta Product categories

Our users have requested to replicate additional product categories from R/3 to EBP system. Do we need to run R3AS (Initial download-DNL_CUST_PROD1)? Is there any delta mechanism available for product categories?

Hi Alok,
there is no delta flow (like for materials) for product categories.
So yes, you need to run the initial download on DNL_CUST_PROD1 again.
This will update the existing hierarchy (by creating new categories and changing existing ones).

CRM Middleware help for rookie needed.. Replication of Business Transaction

Hi guys,
I try to set up replication of Business Transactions from R/3 to CRM and vice versa.
I have created:
- CRM site type (CRM) , R/3 type site (R46CLNT700)
then I created a subscription: SalesDocuments (R46CLNT700 is assigned to this subscription) for publication "All Business Transactions (MESG)".
a, Is this enough configuration of MW for needed replication? Or do I need more settings set up?
b, When I try to start initial load of the Replication object BUS_TRANS_MSG (which is "in" publication All Business Transactions), I am not able to start Load from CRM to R46CLNT700).. As target I can use only CDB... What is wrong?
c, If I create some sales transaction in CRM system and I want it to be replicated to R/3 and vice versa, how will I know, which replication object represents this document? For example, I create a Sales Order. How will I know, which replication object to set up for replication?

1.If you are looking for Initial download from CRM to R/3, this should be possible from CRM v4.0.
2. Delta flow between the systems should happen once your initial download is complete.
3. Check the Inbound and Outbound queues in CRM. If they seems to be hanging for long time, check whether you have registered the Inbound & Oubtound queues in SMQR and SMQS transaction on both CRM and R/3.

Multiple BW Systems pulling data from one R/3

Does SAP recommend multiple SAP-BW systems to pull data from the same R/3 system?
If so then how does delta get get handled in such a scenario?

I have a similar question.We currently have one R3 system connected to one BW system.
Now, we have to connect another BW system and start extracting data for 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_BX.
The delta loads are already happening for the existing BW system for these 2 datasources.
I intend to follow the following steps :
1) Lock all Material postings
2) Transfer data from existing Extraction queue and then the Delta Queue for the 2 Datasources
3) Delete SetUp tables
4) Fill SetUp tables (MCNB and OLI1BW)
5) Initialize Delta in new BW source system
6) Unlock Material postings
a) If I don't run the job for emptying the extraction queue, will ther be duplicate entries in the new BW system whenI run delta after Init? Which leads me to my second question, when data is transferred from extraction queue to delta queue, is it done for each target system?
b) Can this whole process disturb the existing delta flow in the existing BW system.

BUS_TRANS_MSG:Technical error Could not determine module name

1) Sales documents were not replicating to R/3 system,bdocs failed with the following Techical error.
Could not determine module name: BUS_TRANSACTION_MESSAGE GENKEY: REP_GET_RECIPIENT
Service that caused the error: SMOH_REPLICATION_WRAPPER_MSG.
Can anyone tell me the reason why it is happening and how to reoloves this issue.
2)Delta load is not active for the Sales documents (BUSPROCESSND) in the transaction R3AC4.Is this entry will be created automatically or should we maintain it manually.

Hi,
1) This error normally occurs if the R/3 site is not configured properly in the admin console(SMOEAC).Please check the same. Also make sure that the relevant subscriptions are assigned for this R/3 site as ANY data which goes out of CRM requires proper subscriptions to be maintained for the R/3 site.Please create it with a subscription for business transactions.
If they are maintained correctly and still you have this errror then you need to generate the modules assocaited with the bdoc's again using GNRWB.
2) Normally initial load of the objects will automatically trigger the DELTA flow as well as all the events exposed by R/3 for that object will be registered in CRM. Please make sure that in the table CRMRFCPAR on R/3 the option "Discard Data" is NOT SET.(if set the delta will be discarded).

BDoc Intermediate State - CRM2007

Hi everyone
I have Bdocs thats in Received (intermediate state)
BDoc Type: BUPA_MAIN,
Flow Contect Description: mBDoc Validate
Sender Site Name: OLTP
Queue Name shows R3AD_CUSTOME.........
User: CRMUSER ( batch )
When I try to reprocess these Bdocs , I get a runtime error " CALL_FUNCTION_PARM_MISSING
" It seems as if though I need to maintain a parameter under one of my Z function modules
This I can fix
But why am I getting these Bdocs in this state? Seems like all BDocs coming from R3 doing this. This is only happening in our production system
Inbound and oubound queues are cleared

How these intermediate BDocs are getting created?
Are you triggering any type of load(delta,initial or request)?Or they are coming down due to delta flow
from R/3 automatically?
Does these BDocs contain data or they are empty?
Which version of CRM ,you are using?

BDOC ERROR ( storage form )

Hello All
While running SDIMa header comparion inbound Queues of the CRM system was in status " Sysfail ' giving error msg " error in mapping detail transacion SMW01 . In the bdoc product_mat errot segment shows as " No storage form defined for product type 01 / logical system " . Storage form is properly maintained in COMCPRLOGSYS , error is still there after running customizing object : DNL_CUST_PROD0 . Can someone help me to solve this issue ..

Hello Pooja,
Please download object DNL_CUST_PROD0 once agian in txn:R3AS.
Error message says that numbering format is inconsistent among R/3 and CRM.
Please note that there is no delta flow for customizing changes in R/3.So something might have been changed in R/3 and not present in CRM.

Dear All,
material delta changes are not flowing into CRM, because the product hierarchy on material has been changed to a new product hierarchy. I do not want to download again the object DNL_CUST_PROD1 because it maight cause inconstancies in CRM. (I have already defined some z product hierarchies in CRM)
Do I need to create the new product hierarchy also in CRM manually?

Hi Raj,
Use the transacrion R3AR2 to create a z object for DNL_CUST_PROD1 and assign DNL_CUST_PROD1 as the object name
Then in request detail screen for new z object enter the details like table name (T179 in your case) and the name of the product hierarchy that you want to bring in. Save the transaction
Then use the transaction R3AR4 to initiate the download for your new z object as you normally do in R3AS.
Then go to SMW01 and reprosess the struck Bdoc.

DS 4.2 get ECC CDHDR deltas in ABAP data flow using last run log table

I have a DS 4.2 batch job where I'm trying to get ECC CDHDR deltas inside an ABAP data flow. My SQL Server log table has an ECC CDHDR last_run_date_time (e.g. '6/6/2014 10:10:00') where I select it at the start of the DS 4.2 batch job run and then update it to the last run date/time at the end of the DS 4.2 batch job run.
The problem is that CDHDR has the date (UDATE) and time (UTIME) in separate fields and inside an ABAP data flow there are limited DS functions. For example, outside of the ABAP data flow I could use the DS function concat_date_time for UDATE and UTIME so that I could have a where clause of 'concat
_date_time(UDATE, UTIME) > last_run_date_time and concat_date_time(UDATE, UTIME) <= current_run_date_time'. However, inside the ABAP data flow the DS function concat_date_time is not available. Is there some way to concatenate UDATE + UTIME inside an ABAP data flow?

I'm trying to concatenate date and time and here's my ABAP data flow where clause:
CDHDR.OBJECTCLAS in ('DEBI', 'KRED', 'MATERIAL')
and ((CDHDR.UDATE || ' ' || CDHDR.UTIME) > $CDHDR_Last_Run_Date_Time)
and ((CDHDR.UDATE || ' ' || CDHDR.UTIME) <= $Run_Date_Time)
Here are DS print statements showing my global variable values:
$Run_Date_Time is 2014.06.09 14:14:35
$CDHDR_Last_Run_Date_Time is 1900.01.01 00:00:01
The issue is I just created a CDHDR record with a UDATE of '06/09/2014' and UTIME of '10:48:27' and it's not being pulled in the ABAP data flow. Here's selected contents of the generated ABAP file (*.aba):
PARAMETER $PARAM1 TYPE D.
PARAMETER $PARAM2 TYPE D.
concatenate CDHDR-UDATE ' ' into ALTMP1.
concatenate ALTMP1 CDHDR-UTIME into ALTMP2.
concatenate CDHDR-UDATE ' ' into ALTMP3.
concatenate ALTMP3 CDHDR-UTIME into ALTMP4.
IF ( ( ALTMP4 <= $PARAM2 )
AND ( ALTMP2 > $PARAM1 ) ).
So $PARAM1 corresponds to $CDHDR_Last_Run_Date_Time ('1900.01.01 00:00:01') and $PARAM2 corresponds to $Run_Date_Time ('2014.06.09 14:14:35'). But from my understanding ABAP data type D is for date only (YYYYMMDD) and doesn't include time, so is my time somehow being defaulted to '00:00:00' when it gets to DS? I ask this as a CDHDR record I created on 6/6 wasn't pulled during my 6/6 testing but this 6/6 CDHDR record was pulled today.
I can get last_run_date_time and current_run_date_time into separate date and time fields but I'm not sure how to build the where clause using separate date and time fields. Do you have any recommendations or is there a better way for me to pull CDHDR deltas in an ABAP data flow using something different than a last run log table?
