Delta Infospoke Question

Is there a way to set all requests in a delta infospoke from "Not Yet Read" (Yellow) to "Read" (Green) without doing an extract?? I see how to set it from Read to Not Yet Read, but I want to go the other way.

I have missed a Delta in the Infospoke. I re ran it again.. But got only zero records, thought there is 1850 delta records. Is it possible to get back the delta records??

Issue regarding Full and Delta InfoSpoke

Hi Experts,
I have created 2 Infospokes Full and Delta to extract data from DSO to SQL server, the settings in both the InfoSpokes are identical except for the extraction mode. However, the delta InfoSpoke is pulling the correct number of records from the DSO (360 records), but the full InfoSpoke is extracting only 196 records. I also tried loading the DSO using both Full/delta Infopackage and Full/Delta DTPs but still the results were same. Can anyone tell how this issue can be resolved.

I'd try to help you about your question,
Your case it's curious, did you check the filter in both InfoPackage?, try to delete and create them again (it is very important check whole filter). Otherwise, I suggest use Open Hub Destination which BI 2004s have the same functional (export data)

MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR Questions & RAID Promise FastTrak Controller Issue

I have recently rebuilt my system replacing the MSI KT3 with an MSI K7N2 Delta. I have been impressed with the features and stability of the system, however, I have some questions that I hope some of you that have more experience of this board can answer:
1. I am using the AMD Athlon XP 2200 (and all the other components including the Lian Li case) which I was using on the KT3 board. The CPU temperature is around 45 degrees C but on the KT3 it was only 35 degrees C when idle. Any ideas ? The heatsink is definetly mounted properly. The temperature did drop by 10 degrees C when I flashed the
BIOS to fix the known CPU temperature issue but I think its still high.
2. I do not have any serial ATA devices or anything connected to IDE3 channel and during the BIOS boot up I get the message:
"No drives attached to FastTrak Controller. Bios Not installed."
Is this correct ? Should I be getting this message ?
I would like to disable the onboard Promise Controller since it is taking up resources and it slows down the boot speed (although only slightly). The MSI website says that the onboard RAID controller can't be disabled. I think this is poor design. Does anyone know if this is going to be addressed in future BIOS releases ?
3. Which of the USB ports are USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. I thought it was rather strange that only 2 of the 4 ports on the header actually active.

First off your temp is ok on that board. If you have not loaded the onboard raid driver do so and it is something you have to suffer with on the MSI board. All of your USB ports should run at USB 2.0 and you also should be able enable all of them in the bios.

K7n2 delta-l question:)

K7N2 Delta-L is a new board for me, and day by day I discover new things, some are positive, others are negative:)
Today I want to ask you about some negative aspects:
1. When I want to set the Vcore of the CPU at 1,55V (in fact I want to set it to 1,50V, but this option is not possible in bios), after reboot, the Vcore in bios is ~ 1,61V:)
2. The Vbat in bios show me 0,00V, but my bios settings are kept after each reboot, so I think the battery voltage cannot be zero:)
The bios is flashed with the latest version (5.4). Do you have some ideas?!?

I'm new in the nForce "world", after a long time with VIA boards, and maybe that's why I came here with a lot of questions:)
I've learned that bios for nForce it's a little bit tricky with settings, but I hope this items will be fixed in the next releases.
On the other hand, I managed to have a very stable system, with a 1700+ thoroughbred b0 overclocked at 2600+ (333mhz fsb) @1,6V Vcore, in dual channel (1:1), with 2 different memory modules (Samsung PC2700 & PQI PC2700)
But still I'm curious if this MB is able to handle the "Keyboard Power On" feature (this feature is not advertised in user manual or MSI website). This feature is managed by Winbond HW monitoring chip or by nForce northbridge/southbridge chipsets?!?
I like this feature, I used it on my latest motherboards, and I cannot believe that such a new board (and coming from MSI!) is not able to handle this feature:)

Infospoke question

Hi experts,
We have an infospoke which is pulling data from a cube via delta mode. We noticed in the past weeks that whenever the infospoke is reading two requests from the cube with 0 added, it is somehow pulling data via full extraction. When I checked the table I see documents created 2 years ago. This should not be happening because it's a delta extraction mode. We never had this problem before in BW 3.5, it all started after our system upgraded to BI 7. I read something about cube compression that might affect infospoke performance but we don't have compression in the cube.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? We appreciate any information that could shed some light on this issue.

Delta selection question

Hi guys,
This is a concept question and must be obvious to most people but I thought I will confirm that.
If a datasource allows selection option which is delta enabled, I select a certain set of data from a delta. (Ex. I use company code US10 for selection records which has company code US10, US20, US30, US40). Now for the next set of delta, only those records which are new or have changed will be available. In a situation where I want to bring records from pervious delta with company code US20 what should I do.

Hi....ok .... a very simple example.....if you have company code US10 and make an init then you would bring the old data for US10 company to the moment and no other companies...the you can make delta loads and you would have the new records for US10...then after a few months you want to load US20 deltas ... then...you need to make an initialization for US20 only...in that moment you would bring tha data for US20 to the moment...after that the delta load changes automatically (when you load delta you dont set parameters, they are taken from initialization parameters) then the delta brings automatically data from US10 and US20 ...and every delta you load you would bring data from both at the same time

MSI K7N2 Delta RAID question

Again with the stupid questions. At least my questions are easy.
I've been dieing to hook up a couple o' SATA drives and run RAID, striping, on my MSI K7N2 Delta. I ordered a couple 200Giger Seagate Barracuda's tonight. Couldn't pass up the deal even though I shouldn't have spent the $.
OK, here's my stupid question: Can you partition a drive(s) in RAID 0? I would like to partition like 10GB for the OS and the rest for like apps and download storage. If I ever have to reformat the OS I only have to redo the 10GB partition. Thanks for bearing through my stupid questions, I'm just excited to do this and can't wait to find out.

I kinda figured it would be business as usual, but I wasn't sure.
I am very curious about speed performance. I'm not sure it would be worth it from what I've read about RAID 0. Apparently it will be good for like video editing operations which I will be doing a little bit of for my web site. I will find out for myself though, and I do need more room. So, regardless the space is needed and I wouldn't mind a bit more performance.
I have the RAID drivers on floppy disk that came with the mobo. I think I'm all set except for drives that will arrive this week some time.

KT6-Delta FISR questions

I have finally put together my pc and I want to ask a few questions.
The Latest BIOS update says it will update the SATA rom to version 2.31.
My first question is, will it make the SATA performance faster?
My Second question: the manual says the FISR comes with a gigabit LAN but yet all the drivers I have tried can only do 10/100. Why is that?
My KT6-delta has not crashed since it has been working and I am very pleased with MSI, the board layout is very good and I like all the BIOS options.

1 question....I tried latest bios and it made my SATA raid array slower....however the cpu idle function does work.
2.Gigabit lan connection is only good if computer you are linked to has same. (better for small lan)

Delta load question

Hello All,
Could you please help by providing a high level step by step solution for the following:
Currently we have an ODS that is being filled by a selective delta load(2LIS_04_S621) by using production order ranges. We have loaded this data for the last 5 years and the number ranges are plant specific.
We now have the need to load all production orders for all plants which span over several number ranges. Please advise.

What about in R/3, did the extractor has data for all the plants , if yes then you can perform the repair full request excluding the selection previously given ( for the selective filed you can write a routine to exclude the current seletcion ).Might be this can help.

KT6 Delta-FIS2R Question

I was thinking of purchasing the KT6 Delta-FIS2R and wanted to know if the thermaltake silent boost heatsink/fan would fit on the motherboard.
I am asking because i noticed that the mobo has a nortbridge cooling fan and I am not sure if my HHUUUGGGEE silent boost will have enough room?

the only way I can buy the board is over the internet so that is not an option. Anyone know if the thermaltake silent boost will fit on the KT6 Delta-FIS2R??

checked it out in bios well it will only show up if it is detected or set up Raid Bios so the mother board can boot from Such a device
in other words the bios will have to see that SCSI
before the Lagacey SCSI can be enabled

A) Will i still have to pin-connect my XP2400 Tbred-B processor so i can use variable multipliers and FSB ???? Unlock it in other words?
B) Can i connect 2 UATA100 drives to the PROMISE UATA connector?
C) Do you think it should beable to reach 233Mhz FSB ????? (Its only 33mhz higher for flip'n sake) Dosnt matter if it dosnt now, some bios updates later might fix it.
D) Is Corsair PC3200 with the built in LED a good ram stick? I want the timings to be in this order C2 - 2 - 2 - 5 - 1CMD (a usual timing array in MSI RAM settings) and beable to enable all other turbo settings for RAM. Important.
E) Will the 1Gbit LAN work properly with a 10/100 switch ????????????????? This is rather important coz i have the DSL connection going through the switch.
F) How much better is the VIA SATA compaired to the Promise SATA ?? RAID or Non-Raid variables.
G) I have an Antec 1080AMG 430W so everything should be stable?
H) What is the overall satisfaction of this Mobo, particularly in the field of windowsXP installation, driver stability, CPU overclocking, etc.

You can connect two drives one cable, but you can do two master drives for that to happen you'd need a SATA to IDE apapter.

Corsair is a great ram manufacturer, and the Pro series is pretty cool though I'd never need the LED's. I run mine at CAS2, but I have all other settings to AUTO last time I tried to manually set some of the values I had some data corruption on my hard drive so I don't do to much tweaking to those settings.
The turbo settings are known to cause problems on this board anywhere from lockups to the onboard LAN no functioning either in a flaky sense or not at all so I'd run at more conservative settings or buy a pci nic.

Shouldn't be any reasons it won't a Gbe nic can run at 10/100 as well so if that's your concern you'll be okay. My Netgear wireless router gets along just fine with my board.

The via sata doesn't run through the pci bus as such it doesn't incur that shortage of bandwidth a pci adpater like the onboard promise would. On the other hand you will have better luck running a single sata drive on the promise than with the Via mine works fine, but those with LSR boards have terrible trouble with single drives.

I love mine very fast, and very stable. Can't comment on XP I use 2000 SP4 though the installation routine isn't too much different between the two.
Drivers well the ones MSI provides on the cd, and on their site are a bit moldy they don't update them too often of course you can get the Hyperion drivers at Via Arena, along with the via sata drivers if used, broardcom has newer reference drivers, and if you use the onboard sound C-media should have newer reference drivers as well. The promise raid is the only thing reference drivers aren't covered by as promise doesn't release drivers for "lite" onboard raid chips.
Overclocking I haven't done too much of it I did oc it a bit with Corecell, and also did a bit in the bios my cpu is a downgraded 2700+ so I bumped it up once though it was new hardware that I just spent big bucks on so I brought it back down.

If you mean SATA(UATA?) then yes that possible same as with the Via SATA.

We are using two Infospokes,one for the Full and one for Delta.We get the full data using full update,But when we run the Delta Infospoke,First run it is picking all the records.From the second run it is picking deltas.Please shed some light on this issue.
