Feedback: Adjusting Blending Options over layer in Photoshop?

Hi all, I've got a really simple problem that i cant seem to find anywhere to configure it out. I've used photoshop for real long time and as i used it more and more often for my painting, i cant help but feel that the "Double-Clicking" when mouse over a particular layer, which shortcuts into the "Blending Options" is seriously bothering me too much for my personal preference.
The thing is, i liked that blending options thing on layers and what it does but i never really does use it when i'm using my photoshop for painting. Even if i did i wanted to use it i can right click and click on the blending options myself. What i hate is the amount of time it takes and lags when a blending options window is being closed, when i didn't make any modifications at all!
As i go through my layers fast in photoshop, i run into these problem alot where my wacom pen accidentally double click on a layer where i just wanted to drag it or rename it. Sometimes it really make my heart jump when it just freezes there for 10+ seconds. My computer is rather new while its operating on windows vista i seriously don't think that is the problem of the lag.
It could be the big dimensions of my photoshop layers and the way of my working that makes it lag alot when the blending options window closes(even though i did nothing), but i just want to solve this problem by by adjusting the double click / blending options configuration fuctions, but seriously i cant seem to find it anywhere. I've also looked into keyboard shortcuts, menu shortcuts, preferences but its not there. I've also searched around the forum no one else seem to discuss this before.
So I hoped someone here actually can help me with this it'll really be doing me a big favor. Its seriously getting on my nerves... sometimes it freezes for 15 mins when i'm on my biggest ps file which is like 8000X8000 pixels.
If Not, I hope to give a feedback to the adobe photoshop community and hope that our great Photoshop will keep improving better, by adding a way to actually make it possible and customize the 'blending options' over a particular layer shortcut to another shortcut so that it won't cause a problem for a user like me.
I also hope to suggest that it'll be alot better if there is a a straightforward direct feedback system that can feedback the message straight to Adobe through the programme itself ( although this is beside my main point) because it actually takes quite a while for me to register and figure out navigate my way through this forum and finally find a way to give an effective feedback. I believe many users will not bother to actually go through all this just to provide a feedback and I believe this will prove to be effective feedback for Adobe.
If I had any issues that I had left out or I didn't know, please do kindly let me know, cause i just registered here. Thanks for reading.

HA! I happened to stumbled upon the answer to my own question:
Use MAIN MENU > EDIT >
In the KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS and MENUS POP-UP, select
Twirl open the LAYER section
Scroll down and select
A text field will appear
Simply type the keyboard command you want to use!
NOTE: an ALERT will warn you if your shortcut is already in use

Cannot see the delta option in update tab for info package

Hi,
I need to create 3 info packages for a data source.
When I right click and pick create infopackage and go to the update tab to choose delta, I see only full and initialize...
Can someone let me know why, and what should I do to see the delta option for my infopackage.

I mean you may try this following procedure for this error.
Search the init IP
1.     Double click in the IP
2.     Scheduler menu
3.     Click in Initialization options for source system
Select and delete the only entry ( INIT) .
Now go to Source systems -
> right click your source system----> replicate.
Activate your transfer rules, using program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
now try to perform Init again.
It will work.

Hi,
For both cubes and ODS the delta options are the same. i.e you need to initialize the delta before you can set up the delta. In initialization again there are 2 options, Init with data transfer (this acts as a full load and also initializes the delta) and the other one is without data transfer (no data just initialize).
After this is done, the delta radio button apprears on the infopackage. You can use the same infopackage you used for initialization, but best practice is to create a new one for the delta. After this, you would be able to see the delta entries in the delta queue RSA7 on the source side.

Go to RSO2 transaction and click on change then on the tool bar click on Generic Delta button. In the next popup you can set your delta.

Delta Option not enabled

Hi,
we are working on a new implementation and we have got a generic datasource from R3 we have assigned it to the corresponding infosource in Bw we have triggered the init delta with out data transfer and while we are trying to create a Delta package ,we are not able to see the Delta option in the update tab of the info package creation screen.
Fyi: this is first delta package we are creating in the development environment.
Do we have to enable any specific settings in BW for getting delta option.
Pls advise....

Delta Option for Generic Data Source

Hi ,
My requirement is Delta Option for Generic Data Source. This Data Source is getting Extracted from Function Module.
For this requirement I have followed below steps.
1) Added the Field (On which Delta gets enabled) to the extract structure by using Append Structure
2) Enabled Delta On this Filed.
3) If I try to save the Data Source, I have gone to a screen where I am able to see 4 coloumns
a) Selection
b) Hide Field
c) Inversion
d) Filed Only known in User Exit.
By default Hide Field and Filed Only known in User Exit check boxes have been checked.
Would you please tell what is the use of Filled Only known in User Exit check biox.
As My data source is getting the data buy using the Function Module, Shall I uncheck this Check Box.

The "FIELD" should be checked if we write any enhancement in CMOD, so that system can identify that this particular field has enhancement written to it,
But even in real time systems i usually find that even though we check the "FIELD" or not , there is no effect .
So Checking "FIELD" or not will not impose any isses .

Well, it is safe to use but the Arch repos do not provide package deltas so there is not benefit yet...

You can't do it in one step. Add to iTunes first, Once the tracks are in iTunes you may convert to a different format.

DELTA option is not working in DTP

Hi All,
I am trying to load data in Infocube using flat file.
It's working fine with full extraction but I' ve added few records in flat file & changed extraction mode to Delta with 'Get data by request' checkbox option checked.
In this case, System taking all records(Old & newly added) in new request. It should take only new records as per my knowledge.
Kindly help me out.

Overwrite and Delta options in Input schedules

Hi,
We are planning to use 'Park and Go' feature of BPC and save some input schedule to our local machine. We will send these files to our endusers for offline planning. Endusers are not connected to BPC server. They dont have client installed on their machine. They will do offline planning and forward the input schedules to Planning coordinator. Planning coordinator will open these files in BPC and send those values to BPC server. In some cases, he has to add those values from input schedules to the existing data in server. In some cases, he has to overwrite the existing data with new data. He also needs Delta update option. These features are available for uploads using data manager. But are these options available during data sends using input schedules? Please suggest.

We are thinking of some alternatives to meet this requirement. We are planning to copy the offline plan data to a new version (Category) using data sends through Input schedules. We will use data manager package to copy these values from the new version to our original version. In data manager, we have the option to either add or overwirte the data. We can also automate this activity. Can you please suggest if this could be a perfect solution for our scenario.

Advanced Networking Option over Win2K

I had high hopes for getting Oracle's Kerberos working over Win2K seamlessly, but the Oracle Advanced Networking Option only had information on using Kerberos over UNIX. With Win2K it wasn't apparent where even to begin. I have Enterprise 8i installed and a licensed Advanced Networking CD which I installed on both client and server, but I don't know where to begin to configure Kerberos for Oracle over Win2K. Anybody out there doing this?

Oracle8 for Linux is at the moment avlaible only in the standard
version. To use the andvanced networking option you need
the Enterprise Edition or Oracle8i. At the moment these products
aren't available for Linux. You'll have to wait for their release.

'select content delta' option in bw statistics installation?

What is the significance of 'select content delta'? I am trying to install bw statistics datasources from business content. In the document link given below it is specified to use this option. when I am using that option and trying to install it is displaying that the extract structure of one of the datasource is invalid. The same option can also be seen on the top in RSA5.

It can be seen in the 43rd page.

This option compares datasources from RSA5 (available in content) and RSA6 (already activated in the system) and gives you the delta, i.e, tells us which datasources are not yet activated in the system.

Generic delta option

I am extracting data using generic datsrc
Now when I set the delta I have choose the option calendar day & given the field for this as confirmation entry date & selected the option additive delta
As once entries made they wont do any changes to that entry example today the no of defects for particular code they enter as 12 once entry is made no changes are done but for the same code the no.defects qty can be changed on the same date which will get new confirmation no or different date so what ever qty they enter on different dates just I have to add those qty for that particular code
But when I go & check in rsa7 that particular datsrc details then it is showing me the list contains no data
But when I go to rsa3 & see the newly entered records as well as the old records

I am not able to understand your post ... going by what I can make out...
There is something called as a safety lower limit - set it to one day and check the same
Also if you have set it as additive - you can load it into a cube .. and when you have a safety limit - this will create Data Quality issues.... see if you have the flexibility to change your data model

Defects changed on 16/03/2007 ( tomorrow )
In this scenario what will be the confirmation date ? today or tomorrow ?
See if you have a changedon field in the table ... use tht if possible...

SD Delta Extraction over 2LIS_11_VAITM

Hi,
is there anybody out there who can help me?
After enhancing the DS 2LIS_11_VAITM by 2 fields on the development system and checking an upload to BW development system (only in FullUpdate mode) we
1. stopped posting in productive R/3
2. transported the DS to the productive BW, replicated the DataSource & activated the InfoSource.
3a. deleted the rebuild table (Neuaufbautabelle) for application 11 in productive R/3 [SBIW]
3b. deleted the extraction queue in productive R/3 [LBWQ]
3c. deleted the delta queue in productive R/3 [RSA7]
4. filled the rebuild table again [SBIW]
From now on we tried to upload the data in the BW productive system.
A.In the first place we uploaded all data into the PSA by sharing it onto several FullUpload-InfoPackages (on behalf of sales organisations) running in parallel and in batch. From the PSA we loaded the full update requests into the ODS (also in batch). So far everything was ok. Now we wanted to set the delta management. But when trying to set the Delta-Initialization (without data), the system stroke: Full-Uploads are already in data targets, delta initialization not possible.
B.So we deleted all requests from the data target ODS and set an Delta-initialization without data again, which worked. Subsequently we loaded the data from the PSA into the ODS in FullUpdate mode. This encountered an error, when activating the ODS data: some of the data from the init request overlapped the data of the full up-date request, the system said.
My questions:
- in which order should be the data loaded, so that we can manage it fastest and safest? (note, that the posting in R/3 is still stopped, so that the delta queue is empty)
- what requirements has the R/3 system to fulfil for this aim?

After setting the monitor status on red and deleting the loaded data requests and the initialization request we restarted the whole upload session with a correct delta initialization with data transfer (with no selections) into the PSA. As I wrote yesterday (and as it wasnt mentioned in my original mail), this was the way we started the upload one week ago. As one week ago the upload speed is very low for 2LIS_11_VAITM we expect some 9 millions of records and after almost 3 days only the half of it is in BW.
Im eager to find out if there is a modality to speed up the whole a little bit. Thats why Ill try to test the strategy you mentioned yesterday (full uploads with repair flags) on the BW test mashine. Would please correct the following flow, which I took from your description? (in order to have it complete I also inserted the first steps 1.-4. from my original mail)
Already done steps:
1. stopped posting in productive R/3
2. deleted in productive R/3 the setup table for application 11 [SBIW], the extraction queue [LBWQ] and the delta queue [RSA7]
3. transported the DS to the productive BW, replicated the DataSource & activated the InfoSource.
4. filled the setup table [SBIW]
Further steps to be cleared out (after step 4 comes either branch xxx or branch yyy):
Branch xxx:
 5. load data using full load
 6. Initialize delta without data transfer
 7. schedule the V3 job (and start posting in productive system)
Branch yyy:
 5. load data using initialize delta without data transfer
 6. Full load with repair request.
 7. schedule the V3 job (and start posting in productive system)
