About last delta update error

Hi Experts.
I have error during executing infopackage with delta master data.
while executing infopackage, the source system is dead. so there's something wrong about delta thing.
on job's msg says :Requesting the last delta for master data is not supported - Message no. RSM792.
and when i tried to execute infopackage again, then i can see this msg
: Last delta update is not yet completed
Therefore, no new delta update is possible.
You can start the request again
if the last delta request is red or green in the monitor (QM activity)
on rsmo i set status to red, when i tried to execute infopackage again, then i can see this msg:
The last delta update was incorrect !
Therefore, no new delta update is possible.
You can cancel the request or:
Attempt to load the data of the last delta update again.
how can i execute this infopackage and update last delta?

but when i try to executing infopackage again, msg just changed from first one to second one:

Hi to all!
I need your help, I had encountered runtime error in running initialize delta process and here's the error:

It can be traced back to a programming error. Under certain conditions, a deadlock may also be triggered by Oracle."
As per checking of our basis problem was not triggered by Oracle. We don't know how to do it on the programming side, please help.

BDoc error in Delta Update for CRM_SRV_IBASE_ATTR

Hi Gurus,
I'm having troubles with the delta queues in CRM 6.0 (2007) , I really appreciate if you can help me out.
I'm using the extractor CRM_SRV_IBASE_ATTR to get the installed bases. I have no problems with the INIT but at the moment of updating deltas there are always 0 records in the DELTA UPDATE, (even after creating new IBASE's).
I was cheking the transaction SMW01 and noticed that the BDocs are being created with status in RED (Incomplete), I guess that's the reason which I don't see any record (LUW) in RSA7 for this extractor and therefore the reason which I get always 0 records in the DELTA UPDATE.
The BDoc error message reads:
14.10.2008 14:36:18 Outbound call for BDoc type CRM_IBASE_MESS to adapter module CRM_UPLOAD_TO_OLTP failed.
Area: SMW3. Nº: 5
14.10.2008 14:36:18 Service that caused the error: SMW3_OUTBOUNDADP_CALLADAPTERS

I've been reading SAP documentation but have no clue so far about this issue.
Have you got any idea about what could be happening? I really appreciate your Help...!!

hi,
The problem may be due to adapter object is set to inactive, while in administration console, the all business transaction mesg is subscribed. So try settimg the adapter object to active and re-process the bdoc.
after reprocessed the error bdocs, then automatically queue to BW started to piling up .

Error in RSA3 - no target system for the delta update

I have created one datasource but in RSA3 when i press F4 at target system it gives me msg like "The DataSource V_BW_DPP still has no target system for the delta update" what could be the reason? kindly help me.

Hi Suyash,
First check whether the BW system is connected to R/3 or not by Right click on Source system in RSA1 and selecting the option Check.
Also What is the update mode you have chosen in RSA3?. Is it full ( F ) or Delta (D) . If you have chosen delta then you check in RSA7 whether the data source V_BW_DPP is appearing or not . If it is not appearing in RSA7 do init upload in BW system for the data source and then check in RSA3.

Delta update data error. Can we do a full load with bad records?

We are working with SAP BW 7.0. And we had a problem with a delta update. It has made the delta update correctly, however, a register is loaded incorrectly, when this register was correct in the source system.
We just made a load of that record and now we have it right in the master data. But we must now update the InfoCube. The data came up with a delta load, and now to load only this record we must make a full load (with only 1 register), then in the infocube make a delete selection of the wrong record.
The problem is that we have doubts about how this would affect the load delta, because loads are scheduled for each day and then lost as the source of where to start the next load and we have problems with delta loads the next few days.

What is your delta extractor (LIS or not LIS), What is you target (DSO or cube).
depending on your soruce and target procedure is not the same but you can do it in every cases :
in case of not LIS
just reload with full IP to PSA
in case of LIS
delete setup tables
do a restructuration for your record (if you can with selection condition)
in case of cube in BW
do a simple full upload
in case of DSO
do a full upload in repair mode (if dataflow is 3.x) else just use DTP.
But if your target is DSO and DSO load other infocube after be sure that they are not corrupted

How can i correct a delta update?

Hi ALL,
i have a delta update in an InfoCube that is failed the 28/07/2007 the processing is a procedure to load data from yesterday (27/07/2007) (after that date all deltas was finished correctly) i don't have an error message, in the status tab of the monitor i have: short dump in the warehouse, diagnosis: The data update was not completed. A short dump has probably been logged in BW providing information about the error.
my problem is: there is a query bex based on a multicube that return no applicable data found and this cube is a part of the multicube.
when i click on the manage menu on the cube in the Requests tab on the second column i have: Request for Reporting Available and in this column i have the query sign that request is availble for reporting until the date where i have the failed delta load. (i don't know if there is the problem affected my query Bex)
one time i have seen somebody that was corrected a delta fail going in the monitor status tab clicking on the red light and after he set the set Overal Status to red (status not ok) but when you click save you get another popup ask you: set all updated requests in the ICs to this QM status?
i'm blocked in this step because i'm afraid to make a many troubles in the Cube and i don't know if i choose yes if it will affect all the requests after my failed delta request.
can Someone help me please???

1) the datatarget is being feed by one datasources.
2) after the RED request in the data target i have 5 green requests, they use PSA and update subsequently in Data targets, but when i have checked the PSA today
i see that i have only the data for yesterday and today.
i don't have reference in PSA for the load that have failed 28/07/2007
About the RED request:
1) i don't have reference in the PSA for that request
2) in the monitor of that request i have 661682 from 661682 Records
when i check the Header tab in the monitor i have the processing: From PSA into data targets and the update mode: Full update
when i click on the infopackage i have the processing tab: Only PSA and update subsequently in Data targets, the update tab is full update...i don't know why they give the name MA DELTA for the infopackage.
i have deleted the RED request and the system had put automatically the next green requests like available for reporting ....i execute the query in this time return data but without value for the june's months ...i don't know if i have make a mistake to delete the requests or no!!!

Delta Update in data Target Must be Deactivated Before deleting the request

Hi Experts,
I got an error while deleting a request from an ODS target. In breaf Let me explain..
Today one data load got failed. The data source 0CRM_SALES_CONT_I ( CRM Sales Contract : Item ) is updating data to 4 ( Four ) ODS targets.
So I forcefully made the request red to delete the request from the targets. But I unfortunately deleted another request without making it RED, I reconstructed it. Everything is looking fine.
   But the thing is , when I tried to Delete the ERROR request from the other two related Data Targets ( 0CRM_CN2P and   0CRM_CNT1) , I fount these warnings..
                --> Request 140522 already retrieved by Data Target BWPCLNT600
                --> Delta update in Data Target BWPCLNT600 must be DEACT. before deleting the request.
                --> Do you want to DEACTIVATE the Delta Update in the Data Target BWPCLNT600   ?
   I clicked on YES.
I am having doubt, will it make any problem in future ? Or How Can I Resolve this problem   ?

Thank you. But the client no which I have mentioned is not our. That is different, I have given for the example. Bur the DS and ODS name are as it is.

Detla Update Error, Last update is not repeatable. Please Help!

I would greatly appreciate any help with this problem.
We have a daily delta update going in from R/3 to SEM Production (bw 3.1 bc 3.3). for business consolidation purposes.
R/3 --- 0FIGL_O07 (ODS) --- ZBW_BCS (Custom Cube).
The delta request failed and became red. Subsequently the following day the same thing happened. There are no error dumps.
The thing that gets me is normally our delta updates have about 200,000 records per update, the 2 that failed have 17 million each!
When I do to the first failed request and check the details section Under Transfer (IDOCS and TRFC) it says data package xxx sent but not arrived.
What is confusing is there is nothing to warrant a jump in no. or recs from 200k to 17mil.
When I try to do an immediate request of detla it says cannot do it as last delta update still running.
Please advise

Thanks for your advise.
This is exact steps I followed.
1.) There were 2 red requests in the ODS with the error message (given above).
2.) I tried to force the first one green which started a batch job that got cancelled.
3.) I informed Basis as per Dinesh's advice and extended tablespace.
4.) I re-activated the request.
Currently there is another batch job running at the moment.
What I would like to know is, is it unusual for a delta update to contain 600,000 records today and say the update does not run for over a month and then contain 17 mil records ?
I will come back on the completion of the job once done.

Fisrst did u enabled the Delta for Generic.If yes, the in RSA3 select Update Mode as "D" then provide the BI Trget system and execute.
If you correct Target system and update mode D then it should fetch Delta records only...If not please write to SAP about this issue.

Initialization / delta updates are what we do every day, and it is usually the update method of choice for most data targets. The delta mechanism ensures the consistency of transactional data. So if some data is wrong in the early stage of data flow, we have to not only correct the data itself but also the related records in subsequent data targets.
Unfortunately, such data can't be avoided in daily extractions. In some situations, the data to ODS is correct but reports errors while loading from ODS to Cubes.
Here is one example:
Some FI documents transferred in R/3 with LSMW's background mode and one of the line items 'Negative posting signal' was inserted with 'x' while the right one should be 'X'.
This line time stays cool in my ODS Z1CCWO01, but encounters errors while loaded into several Cubes when the process chain's running.

today data is not loaded i have checked the data targets there are two error(red) records are there, so i deleted these red records diectly with out marking to red even though records are in red.
now i am repating the loading system is showing the above message.
please help me how to load the data.

First make the status red in DSO or cube what ur loading by doing QM activity.Then goto monitor RSMO and then make the status RED.So only u can able to reload.If u didnt make the status red u will get the above message.

Delta updates whith mistake

Hello everybody!
I have a problem whith delta updates in a meta-chain of.
The data source is 2LIS_03_BF
The data is updated to PSA but not to the infocube.
The mistake is: The info-object 0SOLD_TO contains the value 5405 do not agree with the rules of update.
The mistake is produced because the user of R/3 enters a value in a field that should be empty.
The field in R/3 is: MSEGK-WEMPF and in data source is 0SOLD_TO
What can I do to arrange the load?
What can I do in order that this does not happen again?

Hi,
This issue can be resolved by correcting the error records in PSA and updating it into the target. for that the first step should be to identify if all the records are there in PSA. you can find out this from checking the job log in source system, details in RSMO etc. Once its confirmed force the request to red and delete the particular request from the target cube. then go to PSA and edit the incorrect records (in your case blanking out the particular field) and save it. Once all the incorrect records are edited go to RSA1>PSA find the particular request and update to target manually (right click on PSA request > Start update immediately).
This should solve your problem for now.
As a long term you can apply some user exit in source system side or change your update rules to ensure that this field is getting blanked out before getting loaded in cube.

Delta update failed with a generic datasource.

Dear all,
The initial update was successful with this datasource but the delta failed.
1. The datasource was created through a view which contains table MCHA and was appended with a structure which was filled by a function module in CMOD.The delta-specific field was a Calendar Day field.
2. Error message from the monitor in BW:
Error message from the source system
Diagnosis
An error occurred in the source system.
System Response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
Further analysis:
The error occurred in Extractor .
Refer to the error message.
The detail info in the monitor showed * "Errors occured in the* data selection."
3. The next delta update runned with a green light in the monitor, but it couldn't extract anything. The next with a red light ,and a green......on and on. All of the deltas couldn't extract anything.
4. Running RSA3 in R3 with update mode "D" resulted in failure with Error Message "Error occured during the extraction". No logs for it in RSA3.
Looking farward to any ideas.

Hi,
Did you try replicating the datasource and activating? Generally, Caller 09 error out because of this? If not, can you let us know what do you see from Error message in status tab? In RSA3, you must also give target system name (for eg BWDCLNT300) and try to run it. Once it is done and still error persist then check the log by clicking Display Log.
If you still facing the same problem then try to run the full update for minimal data selections and let us know.

Delta update - delete material documents

Hi,
We have some problem during delta updates for 0IC_C03 (material movement).
In the source system, we have deleted the material master, but its material documents and accounting documents still exist.
The delta updates shows error saying those deleted material doesn't exist while loading the material documents.
please help.
