Delta with data field works if delta not run everyday?
Hello,
I have a doubt related with how delta works,
I have a generic datasource with delta behaviour. In delta, i selected a date field to control delta and i put one day for limit.
So, my doubt is:
I have a table with records with delta date 24.05.2007.
Last delta extraction were at 23.04.2007.
When i execute delta infopackage at 26.04.2007, i'm i going to get all records since 23.04.2007?

if delta initialisation was done you'll get the diff between current run date and last delta run

Problem with date fields in where clause after changing driver
Hi,
We have changed the oracle driver we use to version 10
and now we have some trouble with date-fields.
When we run this SQL query from our Java program:
select *
from LA_TRANS
where LA_TRANS.FROM_DATE>='20040101' AND LA_TRANS.FROM_DATE<='20041231'
We get this error code:
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
The query worked fine whit the previous driver.
Is there some way I can run a SQL query with date fields
as strings in the where clause?
Thanks!Keeping the argument of standard SQL or not aside, comparing DATE columns to a constant string (which looks like a date in one of the thousands of the formats available, but not in others) is NOT one of the best programming practices and leads to heartburn and runtime errors (as you have seen yourself).
I would rather compare a DATE to a DATE.
Also, constants like that would be another issue to fix in your code:

A USB thumb drive with data created in Windows is not showing up on my desktop. Do I need a different driver or something?
OK in order to read those files you will need MS Office for Mac or install MS Windows on your Mac. You can get MS Office for Mac from anyone that sells Apple products. I would suggest the Apple Store, Best Buy, Amazon etc...For help getting the data from the memory stick I'd recommend visiting your local Apple Store or AASP and they can help you move it. It should be as simple as plugging the USB drive into your USB port and then open a Finder Window where you will see the drive on the left pane. If you don't know what Finder is or how to open a new Finder window you need the sites I've noted below!!!

SCOM 2012 Issue The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized
Hello All,
My SCOM 2012 console all of sudden stopped working when I changed the size of the SQL database for the SCOM server.
The setup is all on a virtual machine running windows 2012, with SQL 2012 running SCOM 2012 SP1. Everything was working until I made the SQL server database size change.
Now I am getting an error when I try to open the SCOM 2012 console. It just says Failed to connect to server servername.internaldomain.com The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized. Check the event log for more information.

The issue got resolved after refresh the SCOM Data base access service account in SQL 2012.

Constant Error; Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working. But NOT running Trusteer Rapport.
I am experiancing this unbelieveably annoying and constant Flash error; Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working.
But NOT running Trusteer Rapport, I never have, and it's not even installed on my computer. So what's causing this?There were a couple AntiVirus/AntiMalware products that keep coming up, but I haven't validated that in the lab and don't want to call anyone out publicly without reporting the issue to them first. If you could tell me what antivirus/antimalware products and versions you have installed, that would be helpful.

2) Data access service is running. you can try restarting the service too.
3) check that the OpsMgr database is not full.
4) start the 'SQL Vss writer" service.
5) check the sql server error logs.

Problem with Data source- full load is not extracting where as delta can.

I have a problem in loading of the region values into BW.
Data Source 0CRM_OPPT_I is used to fetch opportunities ( same as Sales Orders in ECC) from CRM system.Data source has a field 0CRM_TR which gives the values of region values pof the employee responsible. problem here is that CRM_TR value is not being fetched when the record was first created, but the value is being flown to BW in the delta run i.e. when a change happened in record.
Please anyone help us out in resolving this issue.

Hav u done init........if yes........What u hav done....I mean.....init with or w/o data transfer.....?
It has picked records or not? if yes...........after init.........hav u checked the Delta queue(RSA7) in the source system...........is the Total field is 0 or not.........if 0..then....
Look if u r using Direct delta.then after init.any changes or new records will get recorded in the Delta queue(RSA7) directly..........but if the Update mode is Unserialized V3 update or Qued delta.then data will accumulated in the Update table and the Extraction Queue respectively...........in that case u hav to schedule V3 jobs to pull them in RSA7............otherwise delta load will pick 0 records only........
Check the update mode of the Datasource in LBWE.......

it is not mandatory to have doc number or date fields for delta,
u must have other fields which could change and try to find those fields and try, chk with the business for their delta requirement else go with full load.

There should be only one Init in the IP. But there is already one Init request "REQU_D8FW3TPS88PNV0AY64R17N9BS" present & you are trying to load one more init because of which you are getting this error.
You will have to delete the earlier init request "REQU_D8FW3TPS88PNV0AY64R17N9BS" before doing the new init. then do the new init load. Once the new init load is done, you change the update mode to delta & save the infopackage so that it will pick up only delta from the next load onwards.

Working with Data Field (XMLTYTPE)
XMLTYPE is a new type of data element I have yet to work with and I am seeking some guidance as how best to approach
this in order to display the contents of these fields.
I have the XSD available to me which I believe I will have to query the contents withing this field and within a outter query.
This may not be an easy task to explain, but if some one is willing to take a stab at it, i'd greatly appreciate any advice given.

Generic Delta with Timestamp Field

We changed one of our HR datasource from FULL to DELTA with Timestamp(TMSTMP)-Time Stamp(UTC).
Which Delta we need to take Timestamp(Local) or Timestamp(UTC)
Our Generic Datasource is based on Function Module.This data source contains HR Hours Data i.e Direct Hours & Indirect Hours.
With interval settings has
Safety Interval Upper Limit - 'Blank' .
Safety Interval Lower Limit - 1800
New status for Changed Records (Selected)
It is a HR Generic Data Source.
We are creating the records in PA30,PA40 and going to take the records from PA0000,PA0001
Delta type for this DS is "AIE" as our delta type process for our DS.
I am trying to load the INIT to Cube,but its not allowing to load,saying with 'AIE' delta type its not possible to load to cube.
I changed the delta type to 'ADD' then the safety interval limits changed to
Safety Interval Upper Limit - 1800 .
Safety Interval Lower Limit - Blank.
Additive Delta (selected)
Is it possible to load the Generic Delta Time stamp to Cube?
Please let us know what are the settings & delta type needs to be there to load the Generic Delta Timestamp to Cube.

Default filed name is TIMESTAMP_UTC,Domain is TZNTSTMPS.
