Demand /LT Planning - simulated demand?

Up to now I have done the production side - MRP feedling into production and process orders. Now my client would like to look at Forecasting/Planning so I'm new to this so hope the question isn't too basic.
their scenario is that they have one semi-finished material, MAT A, that feeds into a lot of finished product. They have a forecast for MAT A for the next twelve months.
If I create PIRs in MD61 with MDfor MAT A, is this creating actual demand or simulated demand for MAT A and its components?
What is the best way to run the simulated demand rather than the actual demand. What is MD73 used for?

PIR for MAT A will create real demand in MRP - NOT WHAT YOU WANT!
You could use LTP (long term planning) with an inactive PIR version, for simulation purpose.
MD73 is a report that shows all PIRs and customer requirements, consumption, and allocation. It helps to see a wholistic picture on the planning-sales requirements situation.

Hai its business planning simulation tcode BPS0 similar to administartion work bench we have planning area ,planning level and planning functions we can use only when the cube is planning enabled.check the help.sap website and sdn threads will serve your requirements.

Dear,
MD43 provide you with interactive planning.
if you use long term planning and you want to import the
result of long term planning to productive planning, you can import long term planning result from MD43.
In the second screen of MD43 (almost same as MD04), go to menu and select edit
=>Copy simulative LT planned order.
MD03 does not have interactive mode. So once you kick the MRP from MD03,
MRP is triggered and save the MRP result automatically.

Service Plan Simulation in CRM 5.0 SR1

Hello,
When simulating a contract-based service plan, I am getting the error "CRM_LEASING_COPY103". This is strange as I am not working in LAM. The error text:
"..You want to determine a pricing process for sales organization and distribution channel . However, no pricing process has been defined for this combination in Customizing...".
I searched for OSS notes but without luck. I can't make heads or tails of this, as the scenario I'm working in is purely a service scenario (service contract w/service plan generating planned service orders).

Billing Plan simulation

Hi,
I need to use a function module or a bapi to simulate (but no create) billing plan in the contract items.
So i would like to reproduce the standard function (see how it works in debug) but i don't know how to simulate billing plan. I try to use VA42 but i can't any simulation function or something else.

Hi,
Ideally you would simulate a cycle from contract to invoice and make sure its working alright.
To enter a billing plan for a contract (after entering VA41 and the customer, material details), go to the item level screen. There is a tab called billing plan here.
You assign a billing plan reference for your document type (Path:IMG Settings > Sales and Distribution > Sales Documents Header, and Billing > Billing Plan > Maintain Date Proposals for billing plan types).
If these settings are maintained, then the billing plan should automatically populate. Then you create the release order, remove billing block and invoice.

Long Term Planning: Simulative Order not covering the Simul.Requirements

Maybe someone has an idea what can be the reason of the following problem:
For some raw materials, the total of simulative requirements per day is not equal to the generated simulative order quantity.
For example:
For material RAW, I have:
13/01:
Simulative Planned Order, Qty = 100
Simulative Requirement, Qty = 40
Simulative Requirement, Qty = 40
Simulative Requirement, Qty = 10
Simulative Requirement, Qty = 10
Simulative Requirement, Qty = 10
Simulative Requirement, Qty = 10 ---> Total of Sim.Reqts = 120
I don't understand why the LTP RUN gives me this result...
Does somebody have an idea?

Thank you, but I finally got it...
The problem was that the MRP type of some raw materials had been changed from X0 to ND.
So we had old simulative planned orders that were not corresponding exactly to the simulative requirements...

Hi All,
I have to develop a program for Budget bill simulation (Tcode : EASIM & EA61EX). Here i need to simulate the BBP & find out the BBP amount.
The FM which i am using for EA61EX are:
ISU_O_BUDBILPLAN_EX_OPEN
ISU_BBP_CHANGEAMOUNT_METERREAD
ISU_BBP_EXTRAPOLATE.
But i am not getting the new BBp amount.
Has anybody worked on this before & could you provide the approach to go about it.

I have problems with this activity. The performance is very low. I decided to obtain the size prediction to know how much i need size for the data to be copied from Productive (sender) system to QA (reciever) system.
But can't obtain it. It gives TIME OUT(Time limit exceeded) for the program "/1CADMC/SAPLDMC000000000002448".
I tried dynamically to change the value for the parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time" (from 1200 seconds to 3600) but the error is still the same.
It reads the table J_3RKKRS
Even i tried to comment the %HINTS in the code in the above program: (I have Oracle DataBase)

You can do it with help Transaction cube. Create a basic cube and transaction cube.Go to the transaaction cube Rght click on the cube select the Switch on the traction cube you get 2 radio buttons where u can load and planning on the cube .
When u select on planing u can't load the data but wen u select the Load Radio button u load the data and compare with basic cube.To be presice it is the concept of BPS(Business Planning Simulation) part of SEM.

MacBook Pro closest to the screen USB port doesn't work

Hey there!
I have a mid-2010 MacBook Pro 6,2 (15" 2,66 GHz i7 4GB RAM) which is in perfect conditions. I use it everyday to study and play the X-Plane simulator, basically, so it has never fallen nor taken any damage. Last week, all of the sudden, the USB port located closest to the screen stopped working. I've spent several hours trying to figure out what the problem is (tried the SMC and NVRAM reset more than once) but all I got was this log from USB Prober:

I imagine that the problem is in the BRCM2070 Hub, as it's status in the "Port Status" section is "STATUS(change): CONNECT ENABLE SUSPEND POWER Full Speed" and "Port Power State: Suspended (Driver)", while my other USB port which is working okay is "STATUS(change): POWER Full Speed" and "Port Power State: No connection". If I connect anything to the problematic USB Port the status won't change, while, if connected to the okay one, it will show what's connected instead of saying "No Connection" (e.g. iPhone). The only thing that gives a sign of life when connected to the problematic one is my Samsung External 500GB HD, but it simply lights up, doesn't mount nor is recognised. After a minute it turns off while still connected. I don't know how to proceed as I don't have any Apple Stores near me.
Is there anyway to work this problem out or I should just wait until the end of this year to go to the US and take my machine to a Genius? This problem is really annoying me, as I frequently use one of the ports to charge my iPhone and the other one to connect my mouse. I'm thinking about buying an USB hub to bypass the problem, but it would kill my MBP's portability.

I solved my issue and I believe it was router related. I have a router through Verizon and their Fios service. My router was old so I caled for a replacement. when I received thereplacement I switched it the router to only accept 802.11n and this did the trick. Problem solved, stupid router.

You create one cube for plan data and create another cube for actual data.
Create a multiprovider and give comparision report. this is betterway.
Or you can also load actual and plan data in one cube but you need to maintain one character like version to seperate atual and plan data.(OR)
