Demand Management Week Calendar

Dear All,
I'm putting a plan in MD61, first I need to know if there's a possible way of seeing what W21 (week 21) and WXX stand for (What's the start/end date for this week in normal days).
Second, it ALWAYS considers the begining of the week to be Monday, how can I change that to Sunday?
Please inform
Thank you

Dear,
Please create a Planning Calendar in MD25 and assign it on the Planning cycle of Material master MRP-2 view.
While creating the Planning Calendar enter Plant and name for the calendar and press enter.
Type description and click Calculate Periods, click on Week(Week days) and select Continue rom sunday. In OMPD define date type as week.
Then in MD61 assign the planning calander under user setting.
Or else to make Sunday as first working day, use transaction SCAL, choose factory calendar and then check.

  • Splitting of requirement in Demand Management as per Factory Calendar

    Dear Gurus,
Monthly requirements are loaded as 3 months rolling sales plan at the Sales Plant.
Am carrying out automatic splitting while transfering this to demand management. The demand for the month is split into 4 equal parts (Weekly). However, the requirement date is always the first day of the week (Monday).
Am working in a region where the first working day of the week is Saturday.
    Your inputs please.
    Thanks
    Tarang Machhar
P.S. - Have tried to assign an appropriate Factory calendar. But it does not help.

    Hi Tarang,
one option would be to use period based lot size in the material master of the said materials for the said regions.
you need to maintain a planning calender(MD25) that shifts the requirement dates to the previous saturday.
please let me know if u need more details.

  • Best practice for timing of Transfer of forecast to R/3 Demand Management

    Hi All,
I have APO DP 4.0 with monthly bucket. What is best practice to transfer the planning results to R/3. Meaning how many times we should transfer it?
And when forecast (PIR) is transfered it replaces the old PIR in demand management for that month. How it will affect the consumption of forecast in R/3? Meaning let us say in same month first time forecast transfered was 100 and by middle of the month 50 has been consumed. Now in same month forecast has been carried out and now 200 has been calculated for the same month and transfered to R/3. Now ideally the remaining quantity to be made should be 150 in R/3. Is it so? Any idea?
    TBR, MM

    Hi Somnath,
Thanks for the reply. The problem with frequent transfer of forecast to R/3 demand management is that the latest forecast ignores the prior shipments made in that month.
    I will give numeric example:
Let us say we are in September month and in first week transfered forecast of 100 for one product to demand management. In first two weeks 40 items have been shipped so remaining is 60.
Now we are in third week and planner realizes that instead of 100 we needed to plan 150 and 150 number is sent to R/3 demand management as a fresh forecast for that month.
Now for September month we should see net demand as 110 (=150-40). Somehow this is not happening. It shows as a whole 150 net demand. Any idea why it is not happening.
    Thanks and Best Regards, Manoj

  • Demand Management Through SOP

    Hello Everyone,
I have a scenario where I receive an 8 week rolling forecast from marketing. This is transferred to production. 2 weeks before actual production the plan is firmed.
I was hoping to implement this using SOP transfer to demand management. I was also planning to use an MRP type with a planning time fence. But am not exactly sure of the best practice to transfer Rough cut plann data to demand management. Do I directly transfer the Rough cut plan to a "requirements plan" version?
If not what would be the best possible solution to run SOP?
Also Please suggest as to any specific configuration settings to be maintained for SOP.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Aji Kurian Mani

    Hi
It depends on at which aggregation level you are receiving the Forecast.
if you are receiving at Plant -Material level. I would advice you to directly upload in to MD61.
SOP is required, if you need to do any forecasting in SAP.
or if you need to publish , analsyse the Historical and Forecasting Values at diffrent Org Levels(Plant, cutomer, Material,Sales org....etc)
using the planning tables you can maintain the Figures at one Level, which gets aggregated automatically.

  • Release of APO Demand Planning to R/3 Demand Management

    Hi All,
Is there a way to release the forecast in Demand Planning in APO to R/3 Demand Management without passing overwriting the historical buckets in R/3. I have created a special data view that does not contain any historical weeks. However, if we are in week 2 of the month, it overwrites week one of the month in Demand Management with a 0 value when we execute the forecast pass to r/3 job. I don't want to overwrite week one and we actually want to keep the old value there, How can we prevent this from being overwritten?
I have created a data view that does not contain any historical buckets and I am using this in the
    Regards,
    Rumi,

    Hi,
For releasing from DP to ECC , you have taken care of:
    ○       A future planning horizon only
    ○       A planning buckets profile with one periodicity only.
I assume you are using "Week" bucket , please confirm.
In SAP ECC Demand Management, planned independent requirements are created in the same buckets as those of the data view on which the mass processing job is based.
With above things in mind, it  not clear why APO DP release shoud overwrite historical week data, unless you are releasing in monthly buckets rather than weekly buckets.

  • Demand Management Reorganization QN

    Hi
When we are trying to remove the demand management for one week , the values stick on that week. We have more sales then the requirement for that week.
Parameters : We have 10 days as the key date. / Backward consumption for 999 days / Planning strategy is 40 .
QN :  1) What is the intention of 999 days ?
              2) Why reorganization is not deleting for that week?
              3)  Suppose if one week demand is not consumed, then how it can be consumed by the adjacent week.?
    Thanks for reading
    Nick

    Hi
Go to OMP8 t.code and Define the reorganization interval for your plant.
    Define the reorganization interval
The reorganization period specifies the key date for the reorganization of the planned independent requirements. The key date is calculated by subtracting the specified time from the current date. The planned independent requirements that lie before the resulting date are reorganized.

  • Demand management split the requirements

    Hi
I wonder if anybody knows how to make a daily split for the requirements in demand management.
I have made it but the split is made only for the 5 workdays (monday to friday) but i need to be done in weekdays (monday to sunday).
I've got the restriction of not changing the calendar of the plant because it will affect the others modules of SAP.
    Wait for your answer

    Hi,
Even if you split the reqirement in demand managmant system will not plan the planned order on holiday,
    To split the PIR qty
    1. goto schedule lines and select the line
    2. goto edit mode choose split per online
    3. popup will appear
    4. enter the period indicator and start and end date of the requirements period
    5. enter the qty to be split and enter the period indicator for split enter
    6. PIR qty will be split daily
    7. daily qty =Total reqmts qty / no of days
Can you try order splitting (FS) and in the takht time enter the number of in house production days (1). In the rounding value assign the quantity for the daily lot size.

  • Demand Management Versions and Reference

    Dear Gurus,
To create new versions in Demand Management, is to go via SPRO path--> Production --> Production Planning --> Demand Management --> Define Version Numbers
There is another setting which want to understand.
SPRO path--> Production --> Production Planning --> Demand Management --> Allocate version and for auto spilitting to reference
What is reference we are talking about? From where is this reference for eg 1 - Reqm Plan has come from?
Is version maintained here is standard or you can change it?
If we can change which version is to be taken for each reference?
    Pl. reply.
    Srini

    Hi Srini
The first sap path is to create version no which you can use to create PIR in demand management like version 01, 02, AA, AB.
The 2nd path is about splitting of demand management PIR into lower period say year to week, week to day during copy of version and here you assign one version number which will be used during copy.Reference is from where you are getting demand.

  • Weekly calendar from Sat. till Friday

if I cahnged the calendar attributes, for the start day of the week to be Saturday and end day to be friday, the weekly calendar doesn't show the correct week (by default and by clicking on today), it always shows the next week.
unfortunately I couldn't check the apex_util.weekly_calendar to see what's wrong because it is wrapped, but I assume it is always considering the weekend is Sat & Sun.
Monthly and daily views are correct, and even the weekly highlights the correct day of today, it is just that I always have to go to the previous week to see it.
I have modified the process of weekly to apex_util.decrement_calendar; to be used whenever the weekly botton is pressed, and I will creat a new botton for today to decrement_calendar in the weekly view.
Is there any other better way to change is?

I have the same list corruption issue on my 3G-8GB; have been ignoring it since it first occurred in Dec09, but now can't stand it. Had been waiting for a related forum post(s) such as this one.
As with David's, my issue occurs when displaying All-Calendars in List view. I have 8 calendars, and if I select one at a time; all but 1 show, and highlight(in blue), the correct today date pointer. Issue persists whether I modify or delete events within that 'abnormal' calendar. Also the incorrect date pointer when displaying All-Calendars is different from the one shown when displaying the single 'abnormal' calendar.
When displaying All-Calendars, my List View positions itself at Nov 19, 2009, but does not highlight it as today; with ALL events from that date forward as occurring within that one day. When displaying the single 'abnormal' calendar, it highlights the correct today-date, but positions list at Dec 10, 2009. on iPhone have changed Calendar Sync Events setting from ALL to 6mos back; had no effect.
Had assumed issue wasn't a device issue, but one within my Calendaring app MobileMe(I know, I know). Especially since I also have issues within MobileMe regarding these 8 calendars. They're all displayed in the Day, Week, or Month views; just not left of the view-area where I should be able to check/uncheck which calendar(s) are to be displayed.

  • Ical weekly calendar

When I try to see the weekly calendar view it dissapears. I t was working correctly but suddendly it stop showing it. Ther monthly and day view are working fine. Only when you hit the week key it doesn't work.

    jclega,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Very often ICal display anomalies can be rectified by refreshing your iCal plist file. This can be accomplished by quitting iCal and dragging the com.apple.iCal.plist file which is located in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder to the Desktop. Then log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior. You can delete the iCal plist file on your Desktop.
    Let us know what happens.

  • Task manager and calendar App that syncs with Outlook

    Hi all,
I've been looking for a very user-friendly task manager and calendar (some sort of an organizer) that synchs with Outlook. The regular iphone 3g calendar only has calendar function and the warnings don't have the snooze function. I found SmartTasks but it seems in only synchs with Google Calendar. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance, best regards,
    Miguel Caldeira Proenca

I've searched through the app store and tested several calendar apps but none seem to work. I don't even see an "add-on" to the resident calendar app that adds some color or themes. Has anybody found anything to make the calendar appearance a bit spiffier?

  • Which table are Demand Management data (MD61) are stored?

    Hello guys.
I need to know in which table demand management data from (MD61, 62 and 63) are stored?
Also I need to know if there is some tips/rules to prepare a load from a file to come from Excel spreadsheet?
Is there any BADI or BAPI to load these information directly into the table?
Just for information: My current client doesn't use SAP yet. It's being planned to make the implementation in the middle of the next year...besides they use SAP in other plants around the world...
The main idea is to use MRP from SAP to get the suggestion for purchase requisitions and also planned orders and proceed the production and purchase activities in the legacy....
    Please give me some instructions.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Harlen
This information is stored on tables PBED and PBIM.
You can use BAPI BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE to load data to demand management.

  • Week Calendar App - my primary calendar is Outlook on a network at work - request your tips

Does anyone have a tip for me - I just downloaded the "Week Calendar" app ($1.99) on my iPhone 4S.
I take it that it picks up info from the regular iCal on the phone.
How can I sync these calendars with an Outlook calendar that's on a network at my job (like I'm able to do in order to read my work email, having set up an account with Microsoft Exchange webmail)?
Please speak s-l-o-w-l-y and give details.
    Thanks for any help!

And i think with further digging you will discover that the developer has had a revised app for many many months ready but its been blocked by apple. Also these similar features that are causing the fuss first existed on week cal hd, not the other way around, sovthis is just usual apple style, and its a bigger shame that they could not even exucute it properly, instead we are stuck withva calendar that cant be used for business unless all you want to do is keep track of birthdays and your lunch breaks ....
