Demos are not more effective. please Use Cam Studio for Demos or you can also give these kind of demos to some E-learning software developing companies. The problem exists even when I try to preview the iView in Content Management, so it's not a problem with workset, delta links, etc.
For example, I change an iView property value in Content Management from A to B. When I click preview the iView returns value A, but in property it shows value B. Then I upload new PAR file with property value C. I go to Content Management and I still see value B, however in preview it returns C value.
Looks like it reacts on PAR file upload and ignores property changes in Content Management (but still shows saved value in property box). All changes take effect after restarting the portal. I think when I upload PAR file it stores on the system level, but when I change value in iView property it stores value in the database and it always takes system level value and ignores database one. What do you think?

OIA rbacx/WEB-INF files' changes are not effecting

Hi All,
We have deployed OIA 11.1.1.5.0 in weblogic 10.3.5 (as folder deployment) , on top of managed server "oia_server1".
when ever, we changes any config files in rbax/WEB-INF folder, thats not effecting immediatly (after restart also, its not effecting). Its effecting, after redeploy the war again.
We have deployed war as "folder deployment method" (selected war as folder), in our previous env, it was effected immdiatly (with out restart). In our new deploy, we have created "managed sevrer" and deployed on top of managed server and its not effecting immediately, when we change any files in rbacx/WEB-INF folder.
Please suggest me.

It happened to me as well :(
The deployment gets effected only if you re-deploy the war file or click on Update (if you are using Weblogic).
The managed server takes the cache folders of deployment even after the re-start. The only difference and way to perform is to update the application in the deployments section, which does not even require a restart of the server.

Code changes are not effected in .swf file

Hi,
I have made changes in the code and compiled it and executed
the application.
But, the changes whatever I made are not shown in GUI part. I

Changes done in options are not effected - not able to change home page

When I do changes in the tools-options menu the same is not effected in the next re-start of firefox. For example if I change my home page to a new web page, the same is not opening in the next restart of firefox. Not only this any change done in the options menu is not effected

Code changes are not effected in SWF(GUI)

Task FlowCustomization are not effective on deployment WebCenter 11.1.1.2.0

I followed the the Oracle White Paper released March 2010 on WebCenter Task Flow Customization (11.1.1.2.0).
All steps were followed exactly as per the white paper and the customization were deployed using WLST importMedadata command.

I even restarted the WLS_Spaces and AdminServer but that has also not helped. The importMetadata command returns a message that the documents was successfully transferred.
I also tried to login to the DEV_MDS schema to locate any data this created in the database tables. But could not interpret the data.

Personalizations made in the OApage are not effected in the email

I added fields in the page through personalization and i can see those fields in the page, but when i am mailing the same page with email notification , i am not able to see the changes in the email.
Please help me in this issue.

I am not quite sure which page you are talking about here and how you are e-mailing the page??
Oracle Workflow provides Notification Details Page through Worklist. The content that you see in the notification details page is sent as an e-mail notification by the Workflow Notification Mailer.
11.5.9 - The content in Notification Details page is generated by PLSQL code and OA Fwk just displays whatever it gets from the PLSQL layer. Any changes you make to the content, you would make to the PLSQL code that generates the content.
11.5.10 - Workflow supports embedding framework regions in Notification Details page using Documen Type message attribute as JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?..... If you make changes to the OA Fwk region that you have embedded it is reflected when you view the notification from Worklist as well as all new e-mail notifications sent after the change.
Now, which release are you on? and which page did you personalize? and how is the page being e-mailed?

Privileges granted to roles sometimes are not effective(not functioning)?

I have experienced where roles where granted and privileges granted to the roles. The roles are they granted to certain users. But when these users try to perform dml/ddl, they get insufficient priviledges even though these users were granted the roles which do contain the correct priviledges. Why are some priviledges not functioning when they are granted to the roles? To resolve, direct grants were granted to the users. But why aren't they working through the roles? Thank you.

Role are not effected to user

Hi to all ,
created user "test", by login to portal useing this "test" user, default Home role is dispalyed..
Now i created my Custom role .. i assigned this Role to user "test" in user administration.
i checked is assigned roles my customrole is assigned but it is not displayed in portal while user login.
is there any controls while assigning Roles.. to user ?

Check the role permission.
Set the group Everyone for Read permission, and set the flags End User and Role Assigner.

Remove firmware password by removing RAM which models are not effected?

One could reset in the past by removing the RAM etc. I heard this changed at some point.
From what model MBP is this no longer possible? Or is this still the case?
I have a MBPi5 and a MBPi7.

Problem in building and changes are not reflecting

Hi Team,
When I am building my DC, It is building without any errors,
But it is not showing anything like build failed yes or no.
I feel Its not building my DC,bcoz in tasks its not showing my DC name.
When I deploy, It is deploying without any errors, but my changes are not effecting.
What could be the problem ?

I have reverted the activity i have created for the DC, and deleted the activity.
I have deleted that DC from my NWDS also.
Now I have created the project again, with new activity.
And made the changes, build and deploy.
But still the changes are not effected.
When I build my DC, It is not showing any errors in tasks,
but My DC name is not there in tasks.
I feel my Dc is not building at all.
If some other user is created any activity on same DC but not checked in, then will create this kind of problem ??
I am not sure , where it is going wrong?

Binding not effected until a version is created !

Hi all,
I have a problem that whenever I modify the binding in the definition of an active workflow, the binding are not effected unless I create a new version in the dev client.
In the testing client (in the same system), there were workflows which are still in the status 'in process' or 'ready'. but I dont need those workflows anymore.
is it necessary to delete all these pending workflows in all clients for the new binding to take effect ? I'm creating n number of versions in dev client unnecessarily.
whether I'm missing any config settings ?
please avoid copy past from 'sap help'.

If SWU_OBUF is working for you, it's fine :-). but please understand that that I've tried all the possibilities of activating the modified workflow definition. I still end up running the same old workflow prior to the modification, and nothing got changed. thats why I tried deleting all the running instances expecting that it may cause mismatch.but it didnt help.
the new modifications are effected "ONLY WHEN I CREATE NEW VERSION"
Am I clear now ?
did anybody encountered this problem ?

I am doing calculation for incentives. The package is generated by oracle itself.
But it is taking very very long time in one instance and in another instance it takes very short time.
When I looked at plan I found that the sql queries are not using the indexes at all. Even these tables are seeded and indexes are also seeded.
Why the indexes are not effecting? I have rebuilt the indexes also for this schema also still not working.

Your column is containing some null values or are you using any function or transformation on the column? If yes, this can be one of the possible reasons that the index is not being used even when being forced. What's "seeding the table and index" BTW?
What's your db version (4 digits) and o/s ? Post here the query plan ( use the code tag for posting it. See the FAQ on the top right corner of this page for knowing more about it) .

Both After Effects & Adobe Media Encode CC giving are not letting me export movies.
Some times they will, but after one file both programs give me the following error messages.
After effects:
“[file path and name].mov. An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464)"
AME:
"Can't read from source."
I've went through the forum and found threads & pages discussing the problem.
E.g.

After following all the tips and suggestions (from deinstalling quicktime components & audio components to completely reinstalling CC) I'm still experiencing the problems.
Which leaves me in a bit of a squeeze. I need to export over 144 movies in the coming 2 days and the only way to do this is to quit and open media encoder (or AE) after each single export.
Not really an option.
Both problems have the process Adobe QT sever in common, I took this from the console:

I don't no why Adobe puts out such a buggy piece of software (I know it has to with Apple's poor 32bit quicktime implimentation, but hey, this was known information no?).
Upgrading to CC has given our office nothing but problems.
Hope someone can help to find a work around until Adobe realeases a proper update and solves this problem once and for all.

Thanks for the really quick response!
Regarding the crash log: it doesn't reference com.apple.audio.CoreAudio (though it did before, so I followed all the steps in your blog post before I posted to this forum).
I've uploaded the crashlog to:

If you want to inspect it. It mentions the DXV codec (which I also uninstalled), but the crash keeps occuring. Also I need to export to DXV since it's the only codec the d3 media
server accepts (http://d3technologies.com).
I followed all the steps in the troubleshooting steps.
Codecs used: I've tried everything from animation to Apple ProRes (including: h264/motion jpeg/uncompressed). With all codecs the Adobe QT32 server keeps crashing (though I can't always reproduce).
Export destination: Internal SSD (same as where the OS is installed on) + External raid (via firewire & thunderbolt) + external HD via usb 3.0 (tried everything).
When does the problem start: Really hard to specify, sometimes a day without crashes, sometimes every export for days on end. Sometime after restarting (tried logging out, restarting, switching off and on the computer). With other programs running and with out. Now checking every process active when exporting, and comparing log files.
Can you export to other formats: See question 1, sometimes I can, sometimes not.
When you launch AE and/or AME, is QT32 Server running? At what point does it stop running? Still runing when I open the program. It crashes when exporting (ofter after finishing the first export).
What component files are in your Library/QuickTime folder?: Currently the folowing:

Thanks so much Woodsroad. I had the exact same problem with my Dell Windows 7 64 bit with AMD Radeon 6700 Video card.
All the video tests passed with flying colors.
The sniffer rename trick fixed the problem.
