Demo MultipleflightCoordinator : Error in activating BPM

Hi,
While setting up all the demo examples, I came across an issue with the scenario MultipleFlightBooking.
There errors in the PE probably link back ( using some other forum responses ) to the fact that my scenario has returncode '99' in the sxi_cache overview.
When I try to activate again, I see that I get an error
'BOOKINGSTATUS' is not a component of data object 'PAYLOAD' , occuring somewhere in the 'checkresult' step.
Any idea why this standard content would give this error for me. I haven't changed any message types etc whatsoever.

Hi,
Just go to Integration Process in IR and check for the syntax check ..i;e press F7.
If any error is there try to correct it.
Also check the Abstract Interfaces used in the Containers in the BPM.
Also do the Cache Refresh .

Are you using Instant Client? If so, in 10.1, Instant Client does not have an SDK package, and you cannot compile with it. That feature is only available with 10.2. I hope that helps!

Setting Up the Fusion Order Demo Application, error in import Fod schema

using Jdev11R1 ,Setting Up the Fusion Order Demo Application, and modify the properties in build.properties for my environment , but i don't undersatnd what is (src.home=..//..)
i followed the instraction to get demo FOD schema , right-click build.xml and
choose Run Ant Target > buildAll.

No where could I find the path C:\oracle\Middleware\utils\quickstart set in any of the scripts. If I hard coded the path in the fileset below

I would just get another error further in the process when the jdeveloper.home was expanded again.

Mapviewer demo Import error ( imp-00980 )

I'm encountering an import problem when attempting to import the mvdemo.dmp sample data that is included with the Mapviewer demo into Oracle 9i PEdition. Is there a problem with the the EXP coming from Oracle v8? Here is a sample of the error log output:

Try connecting to the database as mdsys.
Look for a table called sdo_geom_metadata_table, and if it is there see if there
is anything in it. If there isn't anything in it, or it isn't there, try executing:
prvtgmd.plb from ORACLE_HOME/md/admin. It looks like the
views might not have been created correctly.

How to change profile parameter ?
This is Basis Work. If you are not a basis person, better talk to them before you change anything.
Goto RZ10
Click on the drop down button for Profile.
If you do not have any profile in that. Import the profile.
RZ10 --> Utilities --> Import Profiles --> Of active server
Then do the drop down on Profile again. This time pick the one with <sysid>_DVEBMGS<system number>_<hostname> which is an instance profile.
Choose Change.
In the next screen if you see ur parameter change it, otherwise, you can add one. Do not forget to save the changes.

WebUtil Demo Runtime Error FRM-40039: Cannot attach library webutil

I download the WebUtil Demo from

I follow the instruction given in the file ReadMe.html
I am using Oracle Developer Suite 10g Release 2.
There is no compilation error.
I started OC4J Instance

I am running 9.2.0.5 of the database and 10.1 OWB, however the database is running on a VMWare Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 Virtual Machine. The host is running WinXP and OWB has been installed on both the host and guest. I have not had any other troubles running in this mode, but wandered if it may be causing a problem here,

I was able to resolve this by copying the mdl file to the linux guest machine and running the import from there.

Adventure Demo - General Error

I installed the Blueprint Demo - Adventure Demo 1.0 with the lastest J2EE 1.4 SDK successfully.
However, when I tested the demo. I found that there is always message displayed at the phone 'General Error' when I made reservation via menu item 'Reserve'.
This is not the first time I encountered in this current version. It happened with previous release of J2EE 1.4 SDK.
I can't find any error log in the server log. Does anybody encounter the problem and know the resolution?

Have you tried setting the logging detail level to something more fine grain than INFO?
Try changing the <install_dir>/domains/domain1/config/domain.xml file's <module-log-levels> element entry for logging:

Instead of using "INFO", try using "FINEST" to see if that produces any clue as to the cause of this error.
After changing the appropriate entries to "FINEST", start the application server, and check the <install_dir>/domains/domain1/logs/server.log after retesting. Can you determine if there is any new information related to this error in server.log?
Please let me know what you determine after trying the suggestion in this email.

Shuttle Demo Throws Error ORA-06502: PL/SQL: Character buffer too small

I am using Carl Backstrom's wonderful shuttle demo in my APEX 2.2 application and am running into this Oracle error "Character string buffer too small". My plsql code is:

I put in the rownum < 676 ti test out how many rows of data it will allow me to
output into the first select list box. I can go only upto 675 rows. After this I always get the error. The column FUNC is defined as varchar2(255). However,
it's largest value is about 60 bytes.
Does anyone know how to overcome this error. I have over 1000 rows I need to display in the list box.

Yes you can have more that one set of shuttle on a page. If you look here

all you have to do is change the pID_1 and pID_2 to a unique integer per each shuttle.
pID_1 = Form element name. For example, 1 equals F01 and 2 equals F02.
pID_2 = Form element name. For example, 1 equals F01 and 2 equals F02.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/mail/URLNameAs always when you see this exception, your classpath is wrong. You need to put the mail.jar and activation.jar files where your servlet can see them.

Headstart error message... getting user response

Hi,
I'm trying to get an error message to come up in headstart.
I've so far managed to get normal error messages to popup and inform the user of an error. This is fine. My problem now is, I need to ask the user a 'Yes' / 'No' question (or 'OK' / 'Cancel') and use their response.
I've tried:
if qms$errors.show_message('Question here?','Q') then
--code if Yes/OK
else
--code if No/Cancel
end if;but this doesn't seem to work. It brings up an error message, but only with the 'OK' button and nothing else!
Any help greatly appreciated.

Try using:
Create an entry in the QMS_MESSAGE_PROPERTIES (e.g. with code = 'ABC-00001') with SEVERITY = 'Q' and an entry in QMS_MESSAGE_TEXT
And then use
qms$errors.show_message( p_mesg => 'ABC-0001' )
The second parameter of qms$errors.show_message is param0 and that has nothing do to with "Q". Maybe you can use the parameter p_errtp => 'Q', but I remember vaguely that that is not working...

Crystal Reports 2011 Demo Install Error

Downloaded the trial of Crystal Reports 2011 today (installer says it is SP2) and it will not install. Searched the forums and the 'net and not finding anything that appears to be applicable to my situation, so here goes:
Windows 7 64-bit Pro SP 1, all updates
Crystal Reports 8.5 and 9.2 installed
Visual Studio 2010 Pro with all updates
RAD Studio XE2 with latest updates
Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010
I run the setup as an admin, Windows 7 compatibility checked, etc. as suggested in other posts.
I am getting a Visual C++ runtime library error "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."
I get this initially when the installer says "Installing Deployment Unit:" and the unit listed is:
tp.microsoft.vcredist-7.1-core-32,14.0.0.760
I have a screenshot, but the above gives relevant information. If I click OK on the error, I will continuously get it for all other files and then get the pleasure of getting it again when I cancel the installation. We have been considering moving to SSRS, but wanted to give the 2011 Crystal a shot since we have several hundred reports developed in it.
Thanks in advance for any help and apologies if I missed something in my searching. Any ideas??

First thing is CR 8.5 is not side by side compatible, so uninstall it. I don't see this causing install issues but just an FYI...
I assume you downloaded it from the Trial version Page then or was it in Service Market Place?
SP 2 is both Full and Incremental so I'll start the download and test also. It may be they linked to the wrong file.
How big was the file you downloaded?
Also, have a look at this post: SAP Crystal Reports 2011: Error INS00140 and other install errors , there may be something going on with one of those MS Kbases causing the issue, or could be something new.
I checked with the PM for Cr 2011 and there should be both incremental and a full build available, possibly they did link it to the wrong one...

SAP XI 3.0 demo examples errors

Hi,
I'd like to ask if somebody could tell me the possible reasons for this examples' behaviour:
1. When I start "Check Flight Seat Availability" example I got "Connection timed out (-5).... Detail: Connection to partner timed out" error. What it could be? Server's resources lack or anything else?
2. The next example "Book Single Flight" seems to be working, but order status turns to "Flight booking order sent. Awaiting confirmation" only. So the airline doesn't really book the flight and flight booking number is not generated. What might be wrong in a configuration? How can I check the configuration to be sure everything is configured correctly?

Sorry for delay, I just wanted to recheck all settings. Also I installed the SP10, so now I got another questions.
1. Check Flight Availability example works now (seems I can get through the connection timeout) but I have a negative result: "Unable to check flight availability.
Error Type: XI system error. Error Details: An error occurred when determining the business system (NO_BUSINESS_SYSTEM)".
2. Book Single Flight example has an additional airlines (Air Canada, Air France) that are not descibed in a documentation and doesn't have American Airlines that I have configured. Not very clear situation. Anyway I tried to book Lufthansa and I got an error "Attempt to send flight booking order failed.
Error Type: Internal system error. Error Details: Agency with number 00000110 unknown." What it could be?
Well, is it ok to use SP10 to run examples at all?
Can you suggest anything to check my system again?
