are manager and change_on_install, respectively. To maintain database security and
restrict access to these accounts, you should change these passwords without delay,
ensuring that your choices meet your organization's security requirements. The
password for both SYS and SYSTEM in the Vision Demo is manager."

Oracle already provides list of APIs that can be used (in R12, it is responsibility).

I can't find the Demo Sample for Oracle AIA FP 2.5

Hi,
Can someone please help me find the Demo Sample for Oracle AIA FP 2.5? What I found is the Demo Sample for Oracle FP 11g, are there any ways to deploy it given that the version I'm using is AIA 2.5?

I've checked out the logs, I found out that I was not able to build the DeployDemo.xml successfully though it says "BUILD SUCCESSFUL".
The deployment failed when the script is trying to deploy the CustomerService.ear

I would like to have enough information before i can go to our sales representative.
Actually i am planning to give presentation on High Avaialability options for Oracle R12.
and i assume i will be asked for the lisensing. i need your helpA conversation with your Oracle Sales representative will be far more informative than asking questions about licensing on these forums. If you want baseline information about license costs, you can check the Oracle Store (https://oraclestore.oracle.com), but you may be able to negotiate a better rate with Oracle Sales.
Update: In other words, "what Hussein said." I really need to refresh these threads more often when composing a reply, especially if I wander away and come back. ;-)

Invalid Login for Oracle Server 10g

Hi
I have installed Oracle 10g server on my pc .
I checked the Option of Use the same User name and password for all the accounts and used the password as admin
But when i am trying to login as sysdba or sysopera with admin as password it is displaying as Invalid Login .
Please tell me how can i login into the Oracle DataBase

The usernames for login are SYSTEM or SYS. Try to login as system/admin or sys/admin as sysdba.
What tool are you using to login ? dbconsole, sqlplus ? You should be able to login with OS authentication "/ as sysdba"

Start up and shutdown scripts for Oracle R12 in Windows XP

I succesfully installed R12.1.1 in Windows XP and logged onto the Vision without any issues. But after restarting my PC, I am unable to restart (I dont know how to restart) the services.
I see the other threads that talk about the same scripts in Linux environment.
If anyone knows - how to start and shutdown R12 services in Windows environment, Plz share.

Sample/Demo Data for Oracle 10g

Is there such data available? if so, can you point me to it please? thanks!

Depending on the install method you use, you may not have included 'the samples'.
For 10g, the samples are
1) included with the database install as a transposrtable tablespace and available IF you ask using DBCA at database create time;
2) included on the Companion CD which is a separate download and install;
3) Documented in the Oracle Samples manual that is in the 10g doc set (http://tahiti.oracle.com)
In addition, many features and tutorials (http://otn.oracle.com/obe) have their own sample data set. Those would be downloaded from the feature portal, which you access by starting at http://otn.oracle.com and going to the Product or Technology portal (left edge menu) and then drilling to the specific features.
For example, Discoverer 'end user' is a middleware product now well hidden in the BI Standard Edition. To get to the Discoverer Relational and Olap samples, use

-> see Products in left side menu and click on Middleware
-> scroll down to the Business Intelligence area (middle section) and click on 'Business Intelligence'
-> scroll to the "Business Intelligence Foundation" area (middle section) and click on "Oracle BI Standard Edition"
-> scroll down (middle area) and click on "Oracle BI Discoverer" to get to the "Oracle BI Discoverer" portal
-> Samples and tutorials would be available through the links on the right side menu..
(Now I have that figured out, Oracle will probably change the layout <g>)

So i just wanted to know how is the market of Oracle R12 SCM - Order Management Professional.
Is my decision of going for Oracle R12 SCM - Order Management Training Viable or Should i go for SAP R/3 - SD Module Training.

If I am in your place, I will not go for something which is brand new area/ domain ot learn on.
You said you got 5 years of experience on project management, look for some products which enhances and takes advantage of your domain knowledge.
Possibly, Primavera suite of products? (again its Oracle only)
As far as Oracle ebiz is concerned, merely by training of one module will not give u a start in Oracle world straight away, unless you are very lucky in this resource densed world.

Problems with Macromedia Extension for Oracle Portal

Iâm learning about Oracle portal 10g(3.0.4). I'm having some problems about Oracle portal. Please help me as soon as possible.
I created an Web Template using Dreamweaver MX 2004, and IÂ´m tring to send this template to Oracle Portal through dreamweaver webservice (dreamweaver_webservice.zip) using Dreamweaver extension (dreamweaver_extension.zip) but when I try to connect using the extension to send my template I get Invalid Login message (I tried all possible passwords and logins for Oracle Portal and OracleAS). Please Help!
Please help me or give me any materials about oracle portal. I want to study about this subject so if you have books in pdf format please send me.

I used this on 11.1.1.4, running the ant script and using a customized input file ( -Dinput.file=... ) and it seemed to work fine.

Oracle XML Gateway Message Designer for Oracle EBS R12.1.2

Goog Day to everyone!
I'm Looking for the tool "XML Gateway Message Designer". I have found in Metalink(Oracle Support) the note ID 557101.1, here explain how to get the message designer for Oracle Apps R12. It says that you have to download the patch 4066964. This patch install the Oracle Workflow Builder (2.6.3.0.1) and the Oracle XML Gateway Message Designer (2.6.3). This tools are supported to be used with Oracle Apps 11.5.10 and 12.0.X.
The release of Oracle Apps that I'm using is 12.1.2.
Questions:
- The version of the Message Designer that you get from patch 4066964 works for OraApps R12.1.2 ?
- The version of the Workflow Builder that you get from patch 4066964 works for OraApps R12.1.2 ?
- If the version of Message Designer doesn't work with OraApps R12.1.2, where can I find one that works with it?

I downloaded the rapid install package from e-delivery. The B53824-01_4of4 was the OWB installer, and it has a readme file that says: "+This patch contains Oracle Workflow Builder (version 2.6.3.0.1) and Oracle XML Gateway Message Designer (version 2.6.3). These client tools are supported for use with an Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 instance.+"
I believe, as well as you, that it should be work for 12.1.2.
I'm gonna make some test, and in a few days I will post my results.
