Problem uploading prompts

Hello,
I've got a problem for prompts uploading on cue. Prompts are between 75 and 250 Kb.
When i try to upload prompts with cue web site it takes a long time and give me at the end a non-reachable error. When i try with smallest prompts (around 20 to 50 Kb) it works.
So i tried to upload manually with cue "ccn copy url ftp://xxx/xxx.wav prompt xxx.wav username user password pass" but it fails to connect to the ftp server with error (7) Couldn't connect to host. On ftp server (Filezilla), i can see first connection attempt on logs, ftp server try to send welcome message which failed because it does not have response from cue. I also tried with http "ccn copy url http://xxx/xxx.wav prompt xxx.wav" but the same problem seems to occur (Communication problem between cue and ftp or http server for sending response).
cue and ftp server are not on same ip address range and they use cme to communicate as a router or gateway.
I'm on cue Version 8.6.3
Does anyone could help me to resolve this issue.

I've also tried this command on a fine working uc520 in another network and I also get this issue. Despite the fact that on this uc520 web page is working well for uploading, this command resulting whith these messages :

Ping is working from filezilla server to cue and from cue to filezilla server, but is it something with routing or firewalling on uc500 ?
Should i try this command with same range ip adresses for ftp server and cue to get it working ?

30/30 UPLOAD SPEED ISSUE

I am having upload speed issues.... I have spent over 3 hours with Verizon Tech on the phone/and or computer (optimizing, etc.), replaced the router twice; had two techs come out to the house to check the box and speed entering the house (everything checked out just fine)... it is very frustrating because I am unable to upload any pictures, etc. to any application or site (shutterfly, yahoo email, etc.) Verizon is baffled and can not figure the issue out, because the line coming into the house and the lines in the house test out fine. It is not my computer...cause they used there own outside on the line and could not upload. I even had billing remove internet service from my package and reinstate to see if we could jolt a circuit from Verizon (on-site tech recommended) He thought it may be some sort of programming with my profile... Any help or ideas would be appreciated! What else can I do? Should I replace the outside box anyway? Here is what I am getting, although sometimes the upload speed says anywhere from 0.68-3.82Mb/s:

Is that on a hardwired connection with only the actiontec in the picture?
if so then yes - something is definetely going on, if they haven't tried a new router then that is one step, possibly a bad Network terminal, or further up on their end like described to you by the tech.

Prompt issue in obiee 11g

Basically, IE9 breaks flash ExternalInterface calls if your flash component is embedded with an object tag with an embed tag fallback, and the object id and embed name is the same.
The easiest workaround is to tell ie9 to render your page in IE8 Standards mode. To do this, insert this in the element:
 <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" >
Otherwise, you might just want to use the object tag only or embed tag only.

Service Desk: Upload backdated issues

Hi All,
We would like to upload our backdated data in solution manager, we are going to use soluton manager (Service Desk) for tracking our SAP related issue. Our requirement is to upload all the backdated SAP related issues in solution manager (i.e prior to Service desk implementation), so that it can be viewed in CRM_DNO_MONITOR with their actual dates. We are currently creating support message via Help menu.
Even if we create a BDC for creating support message it will take system date and not the backdated one. Kindly provide the solution asap.

SAP BusinessObject Mobile WebI Report Prompt Issue

I have problem to view the Prompt value in Long Text for WebI report in my iPad. The SAP BusinessObject Mobile application is on version 5.1.12.
We are using BI Platform 4.1, and the WebI report is connected to Bex Query using BICS connection.
Below are the settings that I had done:

Example data:
Business Partner ID 123 has description in Long Text (DO NOT USE - KOC ALLIANZ SIGORTA A.S) and Short Text (DO NOT USE - KOC).
Business Partner (on top of ZBPARTNER) in WebI is showing Long Text as expected.
For example, you can see the long text "DO NOT USE - KOC ALLIANZ SIGORTA A.S".
Business Partner (on top of ZBPARTNER) in Mobile Apps is showing Short Text:
For example, you can see the long text "DO NOT USE - KOC".
I need the Prompt value is the BusinessObject Mobile to be display with Long Text, but I cannot find any configuration to achieve this.
Is anyone encounter similar issue and can provide me some suggestion?

Command prompt issue from VBscript

So I have this script that works perfectly for parsing out a COM number and then sending data to said COM port via the command line (things like 'ipconfig > //./COM15'). The issue is that it only works when I use the /K modifier which tells the command
windows to stay open. I don't want them to stay open, but whenever I remove the /K, it doesn't work. Nothing gets copied to the COM port. I suspect the cause of this is the command prompt closing before things like systeminfo can finish running. So is
there a way to have the command prompt window stay open for a short amount of time and then close?

WEBI 3.1 Scheduling with Prompts issue

A developer built a webi report using a prompt filter using a single-select "Year". Then they tested the Scheduling feature in infoview. Works fine. Later, the developer changed the report prompt to an InList "multi select" to filter to handle multiple years. The problem is, the Scheduler didnt update to a multi select as well. Is this a bug in BO 3.1 SP2?

It maybe - you should check the Fixed Issues list for higher releases, for an ADAPT bug reference which fits your symptom.
to be elegible for Support OSS, you'll need to be on SP03 minimum, with most customers on SP03 FP3.7, SP04 FP4.1, or SP05

Multiselect Prompt issue in OBIEE Apps 795

Hi All,
We are using OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 along with OBIEE Apps 7.9.5.
We are facing an issue regarding the sort order of the Multiselect prompt. When we select More values(More than 256) in the multiselect prompt by pressing on the more button in the application the order of the values in the prompts is lost and they get displayed randomly.
I tried putting the sort order column in the rpd also the sql in the prompt the back end query is generated as required but the values doesnt display as Order By whereas they are displayed in random.
Please help on this issue? Or is it a product Bug?

I have the same problem in 10.1.3.4.1.
I create multi select on dayshort. In "Sow" I put SELECT Time.DAYSHORT FROM "XX-example" order by Time.DAYID asc. After this see records form 1 to 256 with correct order. I pick more and I see records from 1 to 512 in bad order.
Any ideas?

Download and upload speed issues

Hi I am new to the forum and I am having problems with my broadband speed I get approx 6.8mb download speed but what appears to be happening is when I surf the net the speed is 6.8mb but the problem is when I download the speed drops to max 2mb can be as low as 0.6mb does anyone know why this would be happening, I have read on the forum that you should keep your home hub on 24/7 must admit haven't been doing this usually turn it off when no one is in the house. The other issue is my upload speed is poor only get approx 0.3mb when I was with O2 before I changed to bt in the summer I was getting 1mb upload any ideas how to improve this

Vendor master upload mapping issue in LSMW

We need to upload Vendor Master Data and it contains 72 fields we identified 69 fields for mapping through standard program (RFBIKRK0) through Batch Input in LSMW.
We are having issues to identify three fields which belongs to Address and these are not getting mapped in the program.the fields are street street1 street2 street3 street4 street5 and address notes.the mentioned fields are maintained in ADRC table but the structure is not getting populated in the standard program RFBIKRK0 in LSMW mapping section.
In the input file from legacy we have the following fields street street1 street2 street3 street4 street5 and this should get mapped in the LSMW .how to go about this problem.whether we need to do seperate conversion program for the address fields .could you please any one help me .

You don't have access to all fields of the address with batch input - you need to do something in addition:
- migrate addresses beforehand (central address handling)
- select the (hopefully few) vendors with street3 filled and migrate this later
- manually
- own batch input (recording in LSMW / eCATT)

Calc script prompt issue in workspace

Hello Gurus,
This issue is related to running Calc scripts from EPM Workspace 11.1.2.2.300.
Browser : IE8/IE9
We are facing an issue where users are able to run CALC from workspace successfully.
But they are not getting prompt as CALC XYZ ran successfully.
The browser just keeps showing CALC XYZ is processing. If we check in logs, its shows Calc has already completed its execution.
Can this happen if we have a slow network? Or is it a bug as the calc seems to be completing on the required time in the background (when checking logs) but the front process keeps going on.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Following is what happens --
<li> We open workspace and login to a planning application.
<li> We navigate to the Business Rules from Tools.
<li> We then run the Calc script from within Workspace for that application
What happens is the calc should be running for ~ 3 mins (it runs for approx same time when we check the logs) however the workspace keeps showing that it is still in progress even if it exceeds ~10 mins, giving us a feel that the calc is still running which is not the case as the log file has the appropriate time when it completed.
We then have to manually close the UI which shows that the calc is still running as it had already completed.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?

[Solved] Zsh prompt issues

Hello,
Ive recently restored my arch system from a backup due to some problems. However I am now having an issue with my zsh prompt.
I have a .zshrc file in my home dir that was always obeyed by zsh before. Now when I log in the ~/.zshrc file is loaded because all my aliases still work but my prompt is not the one specified in ~/.zshrc file.
If I copy ~/.zshrc to /etc/zsh/zshrc then the prompt is loaded along with all the other aliases etc.
Can anyone suggest why this maybe as id like to keep the zsh settings on a per-user basis?

Not sure if this is directly relevant to your situation or not, but I encountered a very similar issue starting the other week; loading promptinit and selecting a theme would work, but setting a custom PS1= etc. through my ~/.zshrc no longer did, even though it was still being loaded. I similarly did not think to re-install the package, until I came across this thread. As part of doing so I had to remove several packages with a Zsh dependency. After re-installing Zsh, my normal PS1 etc. came back, but went away again after re-installing the other packages.
In my case, it appears extra/grml-zsh-config was the culprit; this package adds a lengthy /etc/zsh/zshrc, and the behaviour occurs when that file is present. I couldn't say if this is a bug or just intended behaviour (indeed, I only had GRML-Zsh-Config installed as a dependency for another package); either way, once identified, workarounds became possible.
Would be curious to know if this was also the case at your end (and if not, well... it seems there are a number of ways one can lose their Zsh prompt configuration!)

Crystal reports prompt issue

I had created the simple crystal report by connecting to bex query (with prompts).
For example in my crystal report ,circle prompt as below list of values

At the time of preview,user can select the above list of value ,so that the corresponding prompt value need to display in the report.
Here i want to known,when user select the "Assam" circle in the above list of values,prompt value is showing as "[YPES_AREA].[ASSM]" but i want to show it as a description instead of technical name.
please suggest me is it possible or not?

Unfortunately the "description" is only available in the LoV and cannot be accessed for use on the report (I believe there is an Idea Place suggestion concerning this very issue...) but there are work arounds.
If the LoV is a static list it's fairly easy. Just use the following formula:

If your LoVs are dynamic it's a little trickier... and I've never tried it using a data warehouse...
but I've always done it using a separate SQL Command. Something along these lines
SELECT
FieldUsedInTheDescription
FROM TableName
WHERE FieldUsedAsTheValue = {?Parameter}
Still pretty simple as long as the parameter only accepts a single value.
If the parameter accepts multiple values you need to use a sub-report.

BT Cloud App for Mac - Upload freeze issues?

Anyone experiencing freeze issues during upload sessions?
I just downloaded the app yesterday and kicked off an upload of 20K (ish) files. It progressed nicely through the day, but clearly froze at some point during the night. Following a reboot I've seen a further freeze in the last couple of hours and resorted to closing/re--opening the app.

Thanks for replying. I have had issues with this continually throughout the upload. I've managed to back-up just over 8Gb since Saturday afternoon, but not without a bit of coaxing (closing and re-starting the app every time it appears to freeze.). In fact my upload has just finished within the last few minutes. I've left it on after I've gone to bed on two evenings, but it's clear by morning that the app froze at a much earlier point. I'm not on Infinity yet, but I do get a rock solid 1Mb upload so whilst the upload rate isn't wild, it would be adequate if not for the reliability issue.
Basically the client seems to freeze after a certain time, but there doesn't seem to be any particular pattern in terms of when it happens.
I'm really excited about using BT Cloud, having had problems with several other similar services. I love the fact that it doesn't mess with your local file copy, and that it doesn't expect the user to work 'in the cloud', and that it iteratively looks for changes and just deals with them.
The iPad app seems pretty good, other than the wildly random way the sub folders in my Documents folder display. I have a lot of sub folders. I know there's a search bar, but still, a simple alphabet order approach would be better.
Happy to provide any further input wrt the Mac app stability issue.
