Dependence of Clustered server to read cookies that didn't create

Hello,
I have a two clustered servers with WL5.1 and a two NSAPI plug-ins
with IPlanet4.1. We also have in-memory -replication track-sessions. We have
setup cookies on the AS Cluster. The problem is that the cookie is effective
when client request is served by the AS member that create the cookie
before. Does Clustered Weblogic Servers know of the cookies that sent each
other??? Why do member1 unknow of the cookies that sent member2? Where
clustered cookies information stored to be shared by these two members??
          Thanks in advance.

You should try some experimenting - set your browser to notify when it receives
a cookie, then visit both web apps. Also a test jsp that prints out all the
          cookies is useful.
In some 5.1 service packs, WL appends the webapp name to the cookie name, so you
would get cookies named WebLogicSession-myapp and WebLogicSession-yourapp and
the two webapps would not know about each other. This was a nice idea, but the
webserver plugins didn't know about this and would get confused if you'd visited
          two web-apps.
In other service packs, SP9 (possible SP8), they do not append the web-app name,
they both use the same name WebLogicSession. So your two web-apps would share
the same cookie. And if you landed on a web-app that did not have a session for
the cookie, it would reuse the cookie and create a new session. This is fine if
the two web-apps are deployed on the same set of IP addresses. If you are clustered
and your web-apps are not deployed on the same IP addresses, it causes absolute
mayhem - every time you switch from one web-app to another, it over-writes the
existing cookie (include the IP address of the WL instance you were stuck to).

  • Image expired error for CFChart on clustered server

    Hello,
I noticed the following article that responds to a problem
we're having where our CFCharts occasionally aren't displaying due
to our clustered server environment forgetting where the chart was
    created:
    http://www.adobeauthorizations.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19328
Currently we're running CF 6.1. Does anyone know if an
upgrade to CF7 will fix this issue?
If not, can we reinstall CF with our CFIDE directory located
underneath the load balancing system? How would that work?
I know we can use CFFile to write the chart to another
directory and then display from there, but for now that solution
seems to be out, since we don't have write privileges to our
    production server.
Anyway, I'm hoping that enabling sticky sessions on our web
server, or an updgrade to CF7 will fix.
    Please, any comments or suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Peter

  • SharePoint 2013 - Server Error in '/' Application - This operation can be performed only on a computer that is joined to a server farm by users who have permissions in SQL Server to read from the configuration database

    Hi
After I ran SharePoint configuration wizard successfully to upgrade to SharePoint 2013 / SP1.
I can open Central Administration site just fine.
but now when I open any Site collection,  I got this error.
    Server Error in '/' Application
This operation can be performed only on a computer that is joined to a server farm by users who have permissions in SQL Server to read from the configuration database. To connect this server to the server farm, use the SharePoint Products Configuration
Wizard, located on the Start menu in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products
I have restarted all the servers:  SQL server, WFE and APP servers but still cann't get this resolve.
Services on all servers are running,  IIS - application pools are running.
Can someone help with where that could be a problem or if there is a solution.
Thanks in advance for your comments or advices.
    Swanl

    Please verify the followings:
Make sure that from the SharePoint front end and application servers that you can ping your SQL server.
Make sure that your Farm account has permission to the configuration database.
Lastly verify that your database didn't for some reasons go into recovery mode.
once everything is fine and you are still having issues, restart the SQL host service on the SQL server.
Once the service is restarted you will need to reboot Central Admin and then your front end servers.
In addition, as you built your farm inside the firewall, please disable the firwall, or create rules for SQL Server service in the firwall on SQL server.

  • My 4th generation iPod Touch won't let me get on to the App Store. When I log on to iTunes, an alert pops up that says the certificate for the server is invalid, and that it may be a server pretending to be iTunes. What should I do?

My iPod won't let me on to the App Store, and whenever I go on to ITunes, an alert pops up that the certificate for the server is invalid, and that I may be connecting to a server that is only pretending to be iTunes.apple.com and my personal info may be at risk. I downloaded an emulator yesterday from coolroms.com but deleted the app this afternoon. I cleared my safari search data, my cookies and data, and web inspector, which still didn't work. I then proceeded to reset my iPod and then download the newest version of IOS 6.1.5 but yet still am having problems. Also to the App Store and iTunes, several other apps aren't working. Any help here?

Also, when I go on to safari, another alert pops up that safari cannot verify the identity of the website, anything that I type in to as common as google.com. It gives me 3 options to either cancel, look at details, and continue. I've looked at the details of the website of Google and it is legitimate the site. Any help?

  • How to install Oracle 9i EE on a clustered server (Windows 2000)

I need to install Oracle 9i on Clustered server (Windows 2000 Server)with Oracle Fail safe. There are 2 Nodes and one Clustered disk with RAID 5.
The documentation from Oracle is NOT very helpful as it does not specify the installation of Oracle DB on the 2 nodes.Where will the control files reside etc for each node.
Any inputs will be highly appreciated
    Thanks

    Hi,
    reply to my own question:
In the docs provided with the downloads for Oracle Database Server 9i x64, I found that this version requires either
    - Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition for 64-Bit Itanium 2 Systems
    or
    - Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition for 64-Bit Itanium 2 Systems
So I guess, the only X64 platform being supported under Windows Server 2003 (both Datacenter / Enterprise Editions) is Itanium CPUs ...
... though this is not (!!!) clearly stated in the download link (other/newer versions are listed more precisely - I guess it's a matter of an old link: no Intel Xeon / AMD Opterons were available (???) when Oracle 9i database server was published).
So I'll give it a try with 10g database server ;-)))

  • Can I remotely failover clusters with powershell from a non clustered server? Windows Server 2008 R2

    Hello,
I'm trying to remotely administer my windows clusters and fail them over with a PowerShell Script.  The server I'm using is not a clustered server.  I've already installed the Failover Clustering Tools.  I'm able to retrieve information about
my clusters but when I try to fail them over I receive an error saying "The cluster service is not running."
    The command I'm using is 'Get-ClusterNode $Server | Get-ClusterGroup | Move-ClusterGroup'
Error message:  'Get-ClusterNode : The cluster service is not running.  Make sure that the service is running on all nodes in the cluster'
Is there a way to install the cluster service or is there a different way to go around this error?
    Thank you!

    Hi Armando,
To get cluster node information, please try to use the cmd cluster.exe, like:
    cluster.exe node NodeName /force
For more detailed information to use clusterexe, please refer to this article:
Mapping Cluster.exe Commands to Windows PowerShell Cmdlets for Failover Clusters
To remotely manage Cluster server, you can also try the powershell pssession with the cmdlet enter-pssession to accesss the remote server:

    I hope this helps.

  • Web services on a clustered server

    Hi,
I'm newbie on web services and I made a simple web service with bea workshop. when I try to deploy it on a bea WLS that has a unique server all works fine, also when I try to test the WS through http://myserver:7001/myapplication/mywebservice.jws or when I try to visualize the WSDL file through http://myserver:7001/myapplication/mywebservice.jws?WSDL.
But when I try to deploy the same WS on a clustered server (with 1 admin server and 2 clustered server) I don't find the WS and if I try to visualize the WSDL file I get a WEBSERVICE ERROR on the browser :O
              can anyone help me
              thanks in advice

External domains are a prerequisite here, and a minimum of one public static IP address.
You can set that up with a reverse proxy (Apache reverse proxy) through the Xserve box, allowing connections from outside to reach the Xserve and the Xserve communicating with the Mac Mini box. This is basically a web pass-through, were Apache running on your Xserve can hand off to your Mac Mini. This involves reading the [web manual|http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/resources/documentation.html] and using Server Admin to establish the reverse proxy.
You can also set up a mid-level server-grade external firewall (using an external firewall and not a Mac is locally preferred for various reasons) to have it port-forward connections based on IP address, for instance. This is a more traditional set-up for a web server, and is covered in various IP network configuration discussions around the Internet. This involves setting up your network with a reasonable mid-range commercial or open-source firewall, and establishing port-forwarding on the firewall.
You must expect your servers to be attacked, and you will be attacked. The servers I administer are attacked many times a day, with XSS and SQL injection attempts and probes for various other known vulnerabilities, dictionary attacks against passwords, and attempts to post spam on the web sites are also very common. This involves monitoring your logs, watching for attacks, and staying current on all your software and keeping your archives current; your (trusted) backups are the path back from a server breach.
You may want to consider a DMZ for your public-facing services, which is another feature of a typical server-grade firewall, as a web breach can get hairy for the rest of your LAN. Using a properly-configured DMZ usually isolates a breach.
Here's an old [write-up on the various network pieces|http://labs.hoffmanlabs.com/node/275] that can be involved in a small server-oriented network configuration.

When I attempt to do the lookup (from a client on the local machine) using the
              URL
t3://localhost:8031, I get a NameNotFound Exception. This makes sense, because
              the
Admin server isn't a part of the cluster. However, when I do the lookup using
t3://localhost:8035, I get an exception that states that it could not connect
              to a host. I have
insured that the server at this port is running, and the EJB is located in it's
              JNDI tree.
I am stumped and could really use someone's help. Please advice.
              Thanks, Joel

Though some problems still remained, having the client use the weblogic.jar rather
              than the thin
client jars (wljmsclient.jar and wlclient.jar) seemed to cure many of the issues.

  • How can I read mail that is on my hard drive?

Whew, this is so tough that I can't even really describe what is happening.
Yet my hunch is that the solution is very easy if you know how to use a computer. (I've been using Macs/PCs for decades but am apparently clueless about certain aspects.)
I use Mac Mail in OS 10.4.
I notice that in my Admin/Library/Mail that all my mail is in various folders.
(There is no Mail folder in my name account, only in Admin. My impression is that I am the Admin and that I don't often use my name account, but I don't really know how that all works.)
I back up those folders to a remote drive.
I would look to look at some of that email again.
The email I would like to look at is in the Sent Messages.mbox folder within the POP-[my email address] folder within the Mail folder.
If I backup then delete the current "Sent Messages.mbox" folder and replace it with the folder of the same name that has old email in it that I want to look at, I have no luck.
The program keeps pointing to the current Sent mail even though it's trashed.
So that part of the program must be looking at mail that is not on my hard drive but which is on a remote email server.
How can I make Mac Mail look at a folder on the hard drive instead of on the server?
I have a vague understanding of the mail "On My Mac" vs. mail on the server, but I don't know how to control what the program is looking at. I wish I could just have it "Open" a folder that I pointed to.
I've been searching and googling about the subject for hours with no luck. I'll will keep trying.
(I previously had a question here on a related subject. I backed up the old mail and deleted unwanted mail and it still seemed to be in the Mac program. Some folks tried to help me but they suggested that I do things which were very difficult to me, just as download and compare files using a 3rd party program that is something like Spotlight to look at hidden files, I guess, but which doesn't work with 10.4. I forget the name of it. I think I must be missing something really obvious about mail stored on a hard drive versus mail stored on a server, but which is also opaquely handled on the Mac -- that is, a nonexpert might easily mishandle it. But I recently tried taking some of their advice and got nowhere and I see that the question is archived now.)
    Help?
    Thanks. -- JP

No, I don't think so. I think I gave all the specifics that I can imagine in my first post. I had email that I received and replied to in my SENT folder. I believe it came in from my POP server and went out that way, too. I backed it up on a remote drive. So there was a SENT folder on that remote drive. Now I'm trying to look at it again. Via the Mail program. I've copied that old SENT folder into my Library>Mail>POP folder where it came from. But I am only able to look at recent/new SENT mail. I want the Mail program to point to that old folder of SENT mail. I'm the only person who uses this computer. All my mail seems to end up in my Admin folder. I do have a Username folder but no mail goes there. It doesn't seem to be the folder/acc't that I use, but who knows. I just type on the computer and use it. I didn't set it up. A friend gave it to me years ago.

  • How can I create a URL for a PWA for MS Project Server 2010 project file that includes the view?

Hi, this question has been answered for 2013. The answer here suggests that it can be done in  2010.
    See:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/projectserver/en-US/3affdc4f-36bf-4381-8b75-27c73465efd4/action?threadDisplayName=how-can-i-create-a-url-for-a-pwa-for-ms-project-server-2013-project-file-that-includes-the-view
    Who knows how?
    Regards
    Sander

    Hi Sander,
As far as I tested it, it is not possible either with PS2010. The URL only contains the PDP name and the projUID.
    Hope this helps,

  • An error occured on the server while reading settings

    Hi to everyone,
Today i renewed my server's Profiles Manager Code Signing Certificate following this link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5358
The certificate was renewed sucessfully for one year.
I switched the Profile Manager Off then next to "Sign configuration profiles" i clicked the Edit button and from the Certificate list, i selected the certificate named "myserver.mydomain.com Code Signing Certificate - myserver.mydomain.com OD Intermediate CA" which was the only listed certificate that i had renewed.
When i turned on the Profile Manager i faced the issue.
An error occured on the server while reading settings so the Profile Manager can't start.

  • The list of workflow actions on the server references an assembly that does not exist

    Hi,
This issue has been discussed many times in this forum , the reason why I am posting is I tried the resolution steps but I dont see any luck.
I am getting the below message from the SharePoint designer 2007 when I am trying to modify a workflow
"This list of workflow actions on the server references an assembly that does not exist. Some actions will not be available. The assembly strong name is Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowActions, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c.
Contact your server administrator for more information."
#1 : One of the post says "Normally you would see that error because someone has extended the Workflow actions available in SPD with a custom action developed in Visual Studio.  These custom actions are loaded when your workstation reads the WSS.ACTIONS
file on the server.  The file is located in the 12 hive under Template\1033\workflow.  Your WSS.Actions file contains a reference to a custom action .dll which is not available on the server."
I opened the WSS.Actions file in notepad, I dont see any line with *.dll in it. Am I missing something?
#2: Another post says "The solution I discovered was that the server running my SharePoint Services was not up to .NET 3.0.  As soon as I updated to .NET 3.0 everything worked.I had made sure the machine running SharePoint Designer was updated, but
had missed the SHarePoint Services server."
The server is already updated to .Net 3.0.
    #3: I went to the %System Drive%\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\ApplicationData\Microsoft\SharePointDesigner.
Deleted the ProxyAssemblyCache folder but no luck.
Just checking if any one was able to resolve this issue by following any of the solution other than the above mentioned ones.
    Thanks,
    Cutloo

I have the similar issue with my custom work flow. I have searched the whole day for the solution but no success, then at last a simple track works for me. Please try this if any one faces such issue.
Basically the assembly that we have define in the ACTIONS file dose not exists on the server, because of two reasons, either we have given the wrong assembly name (in our case the namespace name inside our solution) or the PublicKeyToken may differ from the
original assembly, that are deployed in GAC.
So cross check both of these, in my case the assembly name was fine,
     <Action
Name="Move Item to Another List and Send Email"
        ClassName="MyAssemblyName.Classname"
        Assembly="MyAssemblyName,Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4053d1fde8a1c781"
        AppliesTo="all"
        Category="Email actions">
But the problem was in the 'PublicKeyToken', so i double click on the feature inside my solution, then in the bottom i have clicked on the manifest tab to check the entries.
    <Feature xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/" Title="MyAssemblyName Feature1" Id="f7f1bda0-5f65-40f1-a705-f6f15a41da3a" ReceiverAssembly="MyAssemblyName, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0c32dbb769ed64b5"
    ReceiverClass="MyAssemblyName.Features.Feature1.Feature1EventReceiver" Scope="WebApplication"></Feature>
Here i got the actual PublicKeyToken for my assembly (0c32dbb769ed64b5), i have replaced this number inside ACTIONS file, deploy the soultion, reset IIS.
    It works for me,
