Dependent Req -- No procuremenmt

Hello PP Experts,
When I'm running MRP for the FG, for one of the Semifinished material (Dep Req) it is creating a dependent req for which there is no independent req for the FG and in the depreq (ie MRP Element Data) it says "NPROC" ie No Procurement.
We are at a very criotical juncture of the project.
Any suggestions will be rewarded.
Thanks & Regards
Vinod

NPROC requirements comes for the assemblies and compoenents which are having negative stock allowed indicator in material master and during backfulsing if there us shortage then this shortage quantity sits in MF47 or COGI list.
If you have not re-process this shortage quantity for cetain period then after product cost settlement this will become as reuqirements and MRP create proposals for this NPROC means "new procurements".
You have to reprocess this from MF47 after mainating stock or you can delet this. then run MRP this will disappear.

  • Dependent req in md04

Hi, the bom of finish consist of a raw materail. strategy 40 maintained for both materials. sales oder created and mrp run md02 taken place. in md04 for finish product planed order generated for sales order qty. for raw material also pr generated for sales order qty and one more line appears as dependent req and qty also same as sales order qty. pls explain why we need this dependednt qty row, its important? because it is already shown in mdo4 of fert material. instead of checking 2 times in md04 for both fert and roh materials individually, is there any way to see in single screen for both fert and roh matrials? pls advise.

    Hi,
I guess you have created a sales order with 2 lines i.e. one line for the finished product & another line for the raw material.
If my understanding is correct, then what you're seeing is correct. In MD04 for the raw material there is one PR which is linked to the sales order & the dependent req. which you're seeing is because the planned order of the finished material.
You need the raw material to produce the finished material & hence the dependent reqmt. & since you have a sales reqmt for this raw material there is a PR for it.
To view in single screen, in MD04 of the finished material, select the planned order line & click on Order Report for the Element, you should find the icon in the bottom part of the screen in stock requirements list.
Hope the above answers your query.

    Hi,
Planned order- Request for a plant to trigger the production of a product, in a specific quantity and at a specific date.
Planned ind.Req. Planned requirement quantity for a product over a given period of time.
Dependent requirements- Planned material requirements which are caused by the production of higher-level assemblies. In the MRP procedure, dependent requirements are automatically created for the components which are necessary for the production of a planned order

  • Why there is no dependent req. passed from discontinued material ?

    Dear gurus,
I set discotinue indicator=1, effective-out date and follow-up material. But, there is no dependent requirement passed from discontinued material material. That is I can't see the dependent requirement for the follow-up material. Anyone tell me the reason? Thanks!

  • Which bom explosion/dependent req. used when creating order

a material's production version ( MRP4 in material master) has 2 or more versions and all versions are valid. when creating a production order, which version will the system take?

    Dear,
If you are creating the production order manually through CO01,if your order type dependent parameter for the order type in OPL8
is having manual selection of prod version means the system will give the pop up to select the production version.
If it's an automatic selection means the system by default will pick the first production version,if you are having more than 1
production version for same lot size and validity.
    Check and revert.

  • Dependent reqs for CBP materials

    Hi all,
For consumption based planning (VB) material, in MD04, order released (OrdRes) for its parent material is displayed. Is it possible to show the planned orders too ?
    Regards,
    Yogesh

    Dear,
For MRP type VB, dependent requirement (open prod order, dep planned order)will not pass from main material.
Because this is reorder point planning, so while MRP run system plan for procurement if the stock qty falls below the reorder level.
In MD04 you can see only P.R & P.O for VB type material.
While running MRP for main material, VB type material will not plan.
You have to run separately by MD01 or MD02.

    Hi,
To put it in simple words consider the following examples:
in a car manufacturing company, lets say Swift:
The sales department forecast the sales for swift which is sent to the production depaertment.
This requirement for the finished product is called Independent Req.
Now based on this dependent req, you will have to have the other material like tyres, engines etc.
This engine, tyres etc are forecasted based on the dependent req.
    This are called Dependent Req.
Net Req: Lets say your total Dependent Req for tyres is 100 tyres, and you have 20 in stock, so 80 will become your net req.

  • Rounding of Decimal for dependent requirement During MRP Run

    Hello Experts,
    I have the following scenario:
We are currently enabling Characteristic Based Planning in our system.
Our one component is selected when two characteristic values are met through object dependencies.
    Ex: Component A = Char A= '002' and Char B ='002'
Now we have given the following Usage Probability for the two characteristic:
    Char A = 20%
    Char B = 15%
And the total PIR quantity is 25 Pcs for Configurable Header.
With the above usage probability and PIR Qty, We have a dependent requirement of 0.75 Ea
    ((20% X 15%) of 25 Pcs) = 3% of 25 Pcs = 0.75 Ea of the component
Now during MRP Run I want to round the dependent Requiremnet to 1 Ea instead of 0.75 Ea.
Any suggestion towards the solution will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Vinod

    Hi Vivek,
As mentioned we are using Characteristic Based Planning.
The component is selected based on a Selection comdition which is as follows:
    Component 721290201000 = $PARENT.BCS_RL_LINE_LOADER = '002' and $PARENT.BCS_RL_WAFER_VENDOR ='002'
When the above two conditions are met the component is selected.
In Characteristic Based Planning we give percentages (Usage Probabality) to the characteristic values like:
    $PARENT.BCS_RL_LINE_LOADER/'002' =20%
    $PARENT.BCS_RL_WAFER_VENDOR/'002'= 30%
For the Parent which is a KMAT Material we maintain the PIR say 40 Qty.
Now the component qty is calculated as follows:
    721290201000 =(20% X 30%) of 40 Qty of parent
    721290201000 =(6%) of 40 Qty of parent
721290201000 = 2.4 Qty of component is the dependent req.
Now my requirent is to round the dependent requirenment to 3 during MRP Run. Please note that the purchase requisition got from the above dependent requirement is rounded to 3 qty.
Now I want to round the dependent requirement.

    Vinod

  • MRP-Dependenat req deletion -reg

Suppose a finished product  is put PIRs through MD61 and run MRP , dependent requirements are generated for the BOM child parts of the finished product ….
Latter when I do planning for the same finished product subsequently for the next time periods ,through MD61 , ,,,,what is happening is though I am deleting the existing planned orders of the finished product , dependent requirements of the child parts are still remaining ,not getting deleted automatically , because of which system is considering these dependent req as demand and generating procurement proposals for these old dep req quantities also .
    How to avoid these ?
How to  delete the existing , unused PIRs ?—through MD75/76??
How to delete the existing ,unserviced planned orders ?—through MD16?
Most importantly how to delete the dependent requirements of the child parts ? or how to set the system not to consider these old /existing dep requirements for generating procurement proposals during MRP run ?
    Please provide necessary inputs

    hi ,
i have tried like  that only
i have deleted PIRs through MD62 and then run MRP for the finished product  using planning mode 3
i ahve run MRP through MD02  for the finished product , with display results before save option and when MRP is run , first for  finished part MRP results showing nothing , next save then when it is going to Child parts it is showing the old DEP req  also ..... for example which is of 2001 year also being shown
any setting to be done for MRP ??????

  • Dependent requirement v/s order reservations

    Dear Guru's,
Could you please explain me the difference between dependent rquirement & order reservations? As we check MD04 for any material we could see both for same material & both requirements are coming from upper or header material.
Reservations are done against production order & dependent requirement is generated due to the requirement at header material. Please explain in detail.
    Regards,
    SAP CONS

    Hi,
Dependent req. are generated by o planned order (for its components), whereas order reservation are ceated by production orders (for its components).
One sets the other off, as planned orders are converted into production orders.
You see both in MD04, since you may have both planned and production order for the upper level material at the same time.

  • Schedule lines generated on wrong date

    Dear Experts,
In my scenario I am creating a Sales schedule & running MRP to generating Purchasing Schedule lines for the Brought Out parts(BOP).
Here Planned delivery time is =10 days (MRP2).
There is dependent req. for a BOP u201CXu201D as per below given daily figure,
    Day 1   1500
    Day2    1500  etc u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026..
    ( available stock of BOP = 100, including  Safety stock = 50 )
Schedule line must be generated on DAY1 but it is generating 10 days after the date of requirement (Here 10 days are Planned delivery time , Here MRP type = PD ,  Lot size = daily lot size , Special procurement= 20 , Availability check = 1  Etc. )
But I need Schedule line must be generated 10 days before the requirement, so that material can be procured and received before the requirement date.
Please let me know How can it be done ?
    Please help
    Ashutosh

    Dear Sir,
Please increases the Gr time.System will take care the requirement. Put the plannned delivery time as "0".Also make changes in the GR time, make it "09: and see the impact. This will full fill your requirement.Goto OPPR,maintain MRP Group,Select the external procurement , de-select the sechduled the info-record/Agreemnet.So it will consider the planned delivery time maintained in the material master.Yopu could do the same thing yhrough OPPQ,-Externakl Procurement.De-select the Planned delivery time.
Note-After doing this, if you maintain the GR time as "0". then the sechduled line will be generated as on today.if "1", it wsechduled line will be created a day befor e requirement. So in you case the put the GR time as "10 days". so the sechduled line will be generated 10 days before the production date.
    Say Cheers

  • How to Block Planning for PIR related Dependend Requirements of a BOM Comp?

    Hi All,
We have a scenario which has a FERT Material "XY" has a BOM with ROH Materials "C1", "C2" & "C3".
Material "XY" has a PIR for 100 pc and on MRP Run it generates Dep Reqmnt for C1, C2 & C3. When MRP Runs, we want to BLOCK generation of Purchase Requisition for C1 only (because of its high Value, the Buyer does not want to buy it for the PIR Planning).
At the same time there is a Sales Order for "XY" for 50 pc and on MRP Run it creates Dep Reqmnt for C1, C2 & C3 and also Purchase Requisitions.
This time, Buyer wants to have the Purchase Requistion for C1 as a result of Planning Run.
Both "XY" & C1, C2 & C3 are all in Planning Strategy 40 and MRP Type PD
I tried to BLOCK the Pur Req generation by putting the MRP Dep Reqmnts as "1" but it is blocking all the PRs.
Requirement is to block Pur Req generation for PIR Dep Reqmnts and Not-Blocking generation of PR based on Dep Reqmnts from Sales Orders.
    How can this be achieved?
    Any suggestion is most welcome!
    Thanks!
Edited by: Jing Tulio on Apr 23, 2009 2:45 AM

    Hi,
    A Suggestion:
Create an additional alternative BOM for your "XY".
In this remove the Component C1. Only C2 and C3 will exist.
    Create 2 Production Versions.
The 1st PV will have the BOM alternative with all the components.
The 2nd PV will have the BOM alternative with the Components with C2 & C3 only.
Now in MD62/61 for "XY", specify the Production as PV2, so that every time for PIR, system will consider PV2 and in this the component C1 is not included.
For all the other purposes (sales order --> Pl. Order --> dependent req.), System will pick the PV1 by default.
Pl. create the PVs for the same date and same lot size.
in MRP4 view, BOM selection method, select - 2 Selection by production version.
Try this and revert for further discussion..
    Regards,
    Siva

  • Lot size

The parents material lot size is fixed lot size , child component lot size is 2 week lot size.  ( ie. 2 week = 10 Days ).
    question:
If the demand for parent material in month, after MRP run the dependent requirement for child component also getting generate only one planned order.
What are the possibilities if the parent demand in month, child requirement is needed in weekly basis .Any chance to get the child requirement in weekly by changing lot size or any other possibilities.

    Hi,
Thanks for your answer. if we change the lot size for dependent material to weekly , biweekly or fixed etc....
The dependent req. will generate according to the lot size that is absolutely correct. but planned order or purchase req. will create according to the parent demand (ie .Adding of dependant req. what ever falling with in the lot size period and for that quantity planned order or purchase req. is getting created )
Actually my requirement is for the each dependent requirement one planned order should get generate .

    Dear,
This is runtime problems occur during the conversion of planned orders it may be due to ATP check or may be due to  buffering of certain tables.
In the check control (Transaction OPPJ), you can define the stocks, inward movements and outward movements that are considered.
Below, you will find a list of database tables that are accessed, depending on the setting.
    Stocks:
    Storage locations:    MARD
    Sales order stocks:   MSSA
    Project stocks:       MSSQ
    Subcontracting:       MSSL
    Batches:              MCHB
    Customer consignment: MSSK
    Inward/outward movements:
Purchase orders:             MDBS (view for EKPO and EKET)
Production orders:           MDFA (view for AFPO)
    Purchase requisitions:       EBAN
Dependent req., order res.:  MDRS (view for RESB)
Manual reservations:         MDRS (view for RESB)
Stock transfer reservations: MDUR (view for REUL and RESB)
    Sales requirements:          VBBE (individual records)
                                VBBS (totals records)
Please use releavant setting for the ATP check.
Also raise to OSS for same.
    Hope it will help you.

  • Phantom assembly

I want to understand phantom assembly concept..
I have gone through sdn and find this answer to be understandable..
    Phantom Assembly:
    A logical grouping of materials.
A phantom assembly is created in engineering to describe a number of components and manage them
as a whole. The components in a phantom assembly are immediately placed in the superior assembly.
Components in an assembly are first assembled to produce the header material. Then header material
is placed in the superior assembly.
    Example
The phantom assembly "set of wheels" contains the components "front wheel" and "rear wheel." The front and rear wheels are immediately placed in the "bicycle" assembly. The "light" assembly contains the materials "bulb" and "reflector." The light components are first assembled and then the light is attached to the bicycle.
    Settings to be done:
For configurations settings goto OPPQ for maintaining the values of special.key
Special procurement key value 50 must be set in the MRP2 view of the material master.
For the materials for which sp.procurement value 50 is set the system creates the planned orders and
purchase requisitions for the components of the phantom assembly.
    Regards
    Mangalraj.S
But can anybody tell me, In the above where should we maintain the sp prc key 50.. In the fron wheel or in the rear wheel...
    Pls explain me..

    Hi,
"In the above where should we maintain the sp prc key 50.. In the fron wheel or in the rear wheel..."
For this you need to create an logican assy new mat no in MMR.ex: xxxxx for which components are rear wheel  - Rxxx, front wheel  - Fxxx ..
Assign 50 in mrp 2 view of assy xxxxx material .
now this xxxxx material is phantom assy.
when you run MRP for FG this phantom assy will get explode and dependent req will be created for Rxxx and Fxxx directly with out creating planned order for xxxxx mat..
come back futher if you have any doubt.
    regards
