Dependent Requirements vs Planned Orders: how to retrieve?
Hello SAP Gurus,
I have noticed that in table PLAF, we can see which (simulative) requirement has been generated by MRP for a given planned order.
Also, in table MDSM, we can see what was the originating planned order for a given requirement.
My question is: is there a way to know what is the originating requirement for a given planned order? (most probably, in another table than MDSM and PLAF).
Thanks in advance for your light...
Regards,
Rudy
Hi,
You can see the ordinal planned orders in MD05 and MD06 t-codes.
for tables search in SE93 by key in MD05 and MD06 where you can get all programs, Tables related to that T-codes.
revert me if any issue..

List of dependent requirements of planned order for a component
Dear guru ,
I search a list of dependent requirements of planned order for a component
What do you suggest ?
Thanks.Hi Cristano,
Go to MD04 transaction, enter comopenet and plant. Then from the list select the Planned order and click on the Order Report from the bottom tool bar available below the list.
You can see the componets details for that planned order.
Thanks and regards

Dependant Requirements and Planned Orders
Hi,
For dependant requirement, question is whether once the planned orders (of independent requirements) are converted to production orders, then only will the dependant requirements be converted to planned orders or it is converted once independent requirements are converted to planned orders? I.e. independent requirements are blown down all the way in MRP.
Thanks.
Rgds,
SueHi,
Let us take some example so that it is easier to explain.
Material A - Finished Good
Material B - Raw material
PIR generated for A - 100 Nos , MRP is run and Planned order created for A - 100 Nos. Now
For Mtl B Dep reqt is generated for 100 Nos.
If No stock is available then a planned order for 100 nos generated.
IF Stock is availabel then no planned order is generated.
When production order is created for Mtl A then the "dep reqt" status of Mtl B changes to
"ordres"(order reservation)status.U can check this MD04.
Thanks and regards,

Dependent requirement v/s order reservations
Dear Guru's,
Could you please explain me the difference between dependent rquirement & order reservations? As we check MD04 for any material we could see both for same material & both requirements are coming from upper or header material.
Reservations are done against production order & dependent requirement is generated due to the requirement at header material. Please explain in detail.
Regards,
SAP CONSHi,
Dependent req. are generated by o planned order (for its components), whereas order reservation are ceated by production orders (for its components).
One sets the other off, as planned orders are converted into production orders.
You see both in MD04, since you may have both planned and production order for the upper level material at the same time.

Collective requirements of Planned orders
Hi All,
When i see the report of planned orders MD16, the planned orders of same material in the same date are not added as 1 planned order. Although i have used the value 2 in MRP view 4 for the field Ind/Collective requirements
Please adviseDear,
If you want to use the collective requirement then use some other lot size according to your requirement but not lot for lot (EX). May be you can use daily lot size, weekly lot size or monthly lot size. So your requirement will be collected according to your lot size maintained. Revert back for more clarification.
Hope it will help you.

System considers dependant requirements lying outside planning horizon
Hello Experts,
Iam running the MRP for procurement. I have defined a planning horizon so that system will consider the requirements of that period. Iam using NETPL as my planning method in MRP. I wanted to create only purchase requisitions during this period so I selected 1 as my creation indicator as well.
But the issue Iam facing is, system is not skipping the dependant requirements which is outside planning horizon. System skips only PIRs.
For all the dependant requirements outside planning horizon, system creates planned orders and for those within plannning horizon system creates purchase requisition. Is there any settings to skip system considering dependant requirements outside planning horizon.??
Thanks
PrathibHello
I believe that there is a misunderstanding about what exactly is the planning horizon. Using a planning horizon does not means that the requirements outside the horizon will not be planned.
The planning horizon represents a part of the planning area, where a planning file entry is made for the MRP processing key net change planning in the planning horizon (NETPL).
In this kind of net change planning, only those materials that have undergone a change that is relevant to MRP within the planning horizon are included in the planning run. Such materials receive a net change planning indicator in the planning file.
That means, if an MRP relevant change is made for a material within the planning horizon, the planning file entry NEPLT is set for this material.
You can check in the SAP Help how the planning horizon works, see below:
"You can also use a planning horizon to further limit the scope of the planning run. In "net change planning in the planning horizon", the system only plans materials that have undergone a change that is relevant to the planning run within the period which you defined as the planning horizon. The system sets the net change planning horizon indicator automatically for these materials."

So, the planning horizon only define is the planning file will be marked as "net change planning".

Require Planned order + Purchase Req. through MRP
Hello Sirs,
I have a requirement for following scenario......
I have a FERT which has 2 Components, 1 HALB + 1 ROH (Purchasing Item)
When i run MRP (MD02) for FERT, i want Planned Order for HALB + Purchase Requisition for ROH.
As at present when i run MD02 it gives me Planned Order for FERT, but nothing for the ROH.
Is it possible to get Pl. Or + PR !? If yes, please guide me with the required settings.
Thanks in advance,
Harris Panchal
Edited by: Harris Panchal on Jan 15, 2009 10:59 AMHi Harris,
Yes it is possible.
Now if you are running MRP through MD02 then most imp Prerequisite is all the materials which includes both Header material and Component should contain MRP type PD,P1,P2 and not M0,M1,M2.
Also check below parameters also.
- In MRP 4 view of Header Material (FERT and Halb both) MRP for Dependent Requirements should be maintain as Materials for dependent requirements are planned (Blank)
- Check BOM valid From to TO date and also From to To Lot size of Fert code.
- If you are using Production version then check above parameters (checks no. 2) for production version also.

Operation wise total required hours for planned order in given date range
Hello Experts,
My client wants the report to check the capacity utilization of the work centers for the all planned order in particular date range.

Thanks in advance for use valuable suggestions.

Scheduling of Planned Order for dependent material
On exection of MRP, we are exepecting that Finish date/time of the dependent material's planned order should be the start date/time of the header material.
This is not observed
We are on ECC 6.0 and have Rep mfg with std routing. there are no inhouse time or schedule margin key values.Hi,
Please check below link if this can help it.

Planned Order to Purchase Requisition we want bifurcation
Dear Experts,
While converting the planned order in to Purchase Request we would like to know
1. How much quantity of the planned order for Confirmed Sale Order & How much quantity for Forecast order.
Example : For Product ABC total requirement in MD 16 is 100 nos . In this 100 nos how much for confirmed sale order & how much for forecast order.
Thanks in advance.Don ,
As the material is same for dependent requirement of sales order as well as forcasted order, its not possible to have a standard report.
even if its have settings of individual requremnt at material level in MD04 it will show you all the dependent requirement and as in your case you have collective order of 100 for it You need to go for development which can check the dependent requiremnt origin and segrigate the requirement based on it.
Check and revert back.

After capacity leveling dependent requirement s to be adjusted
hi
iam planning a fert product on 30 th agust for 100nos
created md61 -pir for 100 nos
done mrp run at mdo2 and got scheduled dates for 100nos which has gone beyond the requirement date as i was chhosed leed time scheduling and made dependent reqirement proposal for the order operation date.
here the important thing is the work center which i nedd to produce was fully engaged inthe period (schedule period which system proposed) .hence i made capacity leveling and planned order dates were changed again
which are actual producion dates
after capacity leveling my planned order was firmed
my problem here is the dependent requirement proposal date also
need to be changed with respect to firmed planed order.
how to achive this
i tried with opu5
but no changes in dependent reuirement proposal (planned order)
plz suggest
sasikanth
vst-it projectshi
i tried it but unfortunatly it is creating a new planned order and giving exemption messge to the firmed planned oder as cancel the proposal
which is not at all acceptable
means for a single PIR
i made mrp run AND got planned order , after leveling the planned order was firmed
means my pir was satisfied with this
i made mrp run without changing PIR dates and quantity by expecting that it should propose a new dependent reqirement
but system created a new planed order to pir date which sholud not happen.
plz elobrate your view

APO: RRP3 automate Production order creation from planned order ?
Hi everyone ,
I have got a business requirement in APO where in Open sale orders uploaded in R/3, needs to be converted to Planned order and subsequently to Production order in APO-PPDS tcode RRP3 at all stages. They want to automate this process rather than doing it
manually.
Can anyone tell how is this possible . Any BAPI or function module available to do this . Please help.
Regards,
SyedHi,
1.You need to run the heuristics Planning of standard lots SAP_PP_002 in /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 by specifying the time profile
and strategy profile, planning version and propagation range, product and location.
2. Convert PPDS Planned Orders created to process orders thru /SAPAPO/RRP7 by specifying the product location start date of the order for production order creation.
Out put of step 1- For sales order requirement, PPDS Planned orders gets created.
Out put of step 2- PPDS Planned orders are converted to production orders.
Thanks,

PP - creation of planned order
HI,
I have a finished product say F001
which has the semi finished product - say- a001
and a001 has another semi finished product - aa001
aa001 has another semi finished product - aaa001
Now When I run MRP for finished product F001 and after that i run MRP for
all the semi finished products individually.
3 planned orders and 3 dependent requirements were created for a001.
1 planned order & 3 dependent requirements were created for aa001.
1 planned order & 1 dependent requirement were created for aaa001.
My client requires 2 planned orders for aaa001( semi finished product)
can it be done. points assured
Thanks
RHussainDear Rashed,
Please check with this.
1.<b>Maintain Individual/Collective requirement's indicator as 1 for your finished
product in MRP4 view -</b> You can find this field under BOM xplosion/Dependent
Requirements.
Check this,if not modify and take the MRP run.
The following is the help taken from SAP.
Dependent requirements ind. for individual and coll. reqmts
Indicator determining whether the following requirements are allowed for the dependent requirements of the material:
<b>Individual requirements</b>
Requirement quantities of the dependent material are stated individually.
Collective requirements
Requirement quantities of the dependent material are grouped together.
<b>Use</b>
You can maintain this indicator in the following places:
In the material master record
For the explosion type of the BOM item (in Customizing for Basic Data in Define Explosion Types)
The setting for the explosion type overrides that in the material master record.
<b>Dependencies</b>
If the material is assigned to a material type that does not allow quantity-based inventory management in this plant, you can set the indicator to individual requirements only.
If the stock is to be managed in sales order stock or project stock, the indicator must be set to one of the following options:
<b>Individual and collective requirements</b>
Individual requirements only
If a material managed in project stock is to be procured from another plant using a cross-company-code stock transport order, the indicator must be set to 2 (collective requirements) in the issuing plant because, in this specific context, individual project stock management is not possible in both plants.

Availablity Check and Planned order
Hi,
In Material Master Record in MRP3 view , we have a field for "Availablity Check".
Whether it is required for MRP run ?
As we are not doing any stock transfer orders , as SD module is not implemented.
So my Question is :
1) Whether "Availablity Check"field is required for MRP run?
2) While running MD03 Transaction we see Planned order getting generated....What is the use of it and Can we avoid this Planned orders to get generated?
UtsavHi,
Availabilty check will check the available stock of the material as per its defiunition .
When the material is MRP material if there exists a requirement for the material either in the form of a sale order or planned independant require ments, SAP checks these requirements anb compares with the available qty and generates the requirements like planned orders , which in turn will get converted into either PRs or Orders depending upon the procurement type of the material in MRP view.
If your material is not related to MRP this data need not be maintained
For more details please refer to the link

ansewe to your first question yes
second question:Planned order is a requirement generated for the short fall of the material when checked with the avauilability check. It can be converted into either PR or Order depending upon the procurement type.
If do not want the planned order to get generated means material need not be maintained with MRP.Means you does not want the shortfall requirement to get generated(if this is your criteria)
Please reply back if you are not satisfied with the answer.
