Deploy Adobe cs5.5 win 7

Hello,
I'm trying to create  Adobe CS 5.5 silent installer.
First I've created the package with Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition tool (2.1), to created the silent install .
The problem is that, when i try to install the package on a Windows 7 client, it seems be working, but at the end of the process, the adobe applications are not present (it's like a rollback operation) .
The error code is: Installation success or error status: 1603
With Windows XP, instead everything works good.
Could you help me please?
Thank you.
Cheers
Stefano

Hi Mylenium,
thanks for your reply.
I've tried to follow all the steps, but unfortunately it doesn't work.
I don't know how to fix this problem. It's working only on windows xp.
Thank you!

  • Adobe CS5 MC Win to Adobe CS5 MC Mac Upgrade

    Hi,
    Firstly, I am in India.
    I asked this on chat with customer service they asked me to contact reseller regarding product swap for this, but when I contacted one listed they said that its not possible as Adobe CS5 isn't available anymore and only CS5.5 is + they don't know if cross-os upgrade is actually possible, but since I got new macbook pro due to (better backup feature and iOS development etc) I want to get my Adobe Master Collection from my old PC to new Macbook pro and I don't wanted to go for cs5.5 due to money issue(I would sit tight for cs6).  I even contacted few other resellers and distributors it seems they are not quiet interested in this deal (passing from one person to another).  What should I do?.
    Thanks in prior for help.
    Dhawal

    I made another post regarding this and other issue I got due to this issue that is 'upgrading to cs5.5 first' I got that one resolved and after 3 weeks I get that product + a two week of searching around and asking resellers if they are interested in selling one. Adobe's India head alteready made contact with me regarding this issue.
    For first issue that is switing to mac, I followed Bob's advice temporarly and got creative suite on bootcamp so that I can start working on projects. Meanwhile I am in middle of a project so I can't sign LOD and not use software for a week or two (might take longer since 1 week is wait time in US). I will sign LOD in next 3 weeks most probably and wait for mac version.

  • Adobe CS5 Release Date & Win 7 CS4 Compatibility

    Hey,
    Does anyone know when Adobe CS5 will be released and whther it will have any big changes than CS4 as I am eager to hit the checkout button to buy CS4 Design Premium Student Edition.
    Also, before I buy is there any compatibility issues with Windows 7 x64 and CS4 Design Premium?
    Thanks,

    Yes...lots of folks at Adobe. And since they haven't released any information, you'll need to wait like the rest of us.
    Also, before I buy is there any compatibility issues with Windows 7 x64 and CS4 Design Premium?
    Thanks,

    Now...that I can help you with. CS4 is fully supported under Win7 in both 32 and 64 bit. I have the full master collection here and everything runs just fine.

  • Error installing adobe CS5 MC from flashdrive

    Hi!
    I'm having some trouble converting a network deployment package of CS5 Master Collection to run from a flashdrive.
    The package is created using AAMEE and over the network it deploys fine(at least after deactivating UAC on windows 7). I have created a .bat file that runs the .msi file with the /quiet operator. Like this:
    @c:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe /i "Adobe CS5\Build\Adobe CS5 MC Full.msi" /quiet /leomx "c:\windows\it\log_Adobe_x64_full.txt"
    I was thinking this should also work running from an flashdrive(usb stick), but it only runs for 3min before it shuts down. The log reads following(highlighting what I think is the problem):

    Ok so I downloaded the most current installer CS5.1, My previous installer was version 5.0. It did install fine fully updated to my license version. I just wanted to update in case anyone in the future has a similiar experience. Too bad this advice was not offered by the "experts" here.

  • Deploying Adobe Reader 11.0.4 via SCCM 2012

    Hello members,
    I am looking to deploy the latest version of Reader to our workstations both during OS build and also on existing machines.
    I have successfully created a custom install using the Adobe Customization Wizard I’m leaning towards the use of the .exe / bootstrapper
    Double clicking the exe works just fine on my lab computers however getting this to work over a SCCM (2012) deployment is proving troublesome
    As SCCM admins would know the SCCM client downloads the content to C:\windows\ccmcache\randomfoldername
    SCCM then runs the command specified in the deployment you created, I appear to be having issues with the exe not knowing to look in the same directory for the MST MSP and setup.ini file,Being a randomly generating folder name this can’t be specified in the deployment unless I change the ‘Installation start in’ option
    Sometimes the install is ignoring my custom install settings (disable updates and online features etc)
    My setup.ini contains:
    [Startup]
    RequireMSI=3.0
    CmdLine=/sall /rs
    [Product]
    msi=AcroRead.msi
    PATCH=AdbeRdrUpd11004.msp
    CmdLine=TRANSFORMS="CompanyName.mst"
    [MSI Updater]
    Path=http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/8.x/8.0/misc/WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2 -x86.exe
    Am I missing something simple ?

    You have done all the things right. I don't see any issues in your deployment. You say that sometimes your custom transforms are getting applied to some of the machines but not always.
    Which makes me believe that that the Reader 11.0.04 installers are working as expected. I guess, It's the deployment and the distribution of packages which is causing this intermittent issue.
    WHat i understand is that, while applying the setup.exe, it's somehow ignoring to apply the custom mst by not reading the setup.ini file
    My suggestions,
    1. Cleanup your existing package and deployment related to Reader 11.0.04
    2. Recreate package and deplyment related to Reader 11.0.04 using some other folder
    3. If you are not cleaning up your existing package and deployments. Ensure you have the transform file and setup.ini file in the same folder as the package folder (where it contains setup.exe and other necessary files)
    and then update distribution points
    4. Make the source directory shared

    A lot more information about your hardware and software is needed.
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
    If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
    such as your platform (Mac or Win),
    exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CC", but something like CC2014.v.2.2) and of Bridge,
    your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
    the type of file you were working on,
    machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
    what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
    if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
    if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
    a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too,
    etc.,

  • Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium (32 bits)

    Hi, I need to create a deployment for the Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium32 bits version. It would be install on Windows XP Pro SP3. So I first created the "Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4, 32-bit support for CS5" package. It install without any problem. Now I need to install the rest of the Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium. So without rebooting I launch the installation with the same command line that I use with the 64 bits version without any problem.
    msiexec.exe /i "Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium.msi" /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress ALLUSERS=1 ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT=1 ARPPRODUCTICON=ARPPRODUCTICON.exe DWUSINTERVAL=30 INSTALLLEVEL=100 DWUSLINK=CEEB8798AEBC90F8B9ACA7CFEEDC978FEE9BD78F598B90AFCE8BF7A8C91BA08FCE0C479FD9AC ARPURLINFOABOUT="http://www.adobe.com" SHOWLAUNCHPROGRAM=0 ARPCOMMENTS="This package is created by Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition" ARPNOMODIFY=1 INSTALLPH=1
    The installation start and, after a few seconds, I get an MSI error 1603. Which is an unknown error. What am I missing here? Do I need to reboot the computer after the "Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4, 32-bit support for CS5" installation before trying the "CS5.5 Production Premium" installation? What are the correct steps for the 32 bits version? I read all the pdf about the CS5 version and couldn't find anything useful other than that I need to install the CS4 part first!
    Thanks in advance for the help!

    Problem solved
    msiexec.exe /i "Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium.msi" /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress
    I still don't know exactly why. But as long as it works I don't care.

  • Adobe CS5 with Windows 8

    I need a definite answer as to whether Adobe CS5 is compatible with Windows 8.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/OScompatibility.html
    The chart doesn't specifiy if Creative Suite Five works within Windows 8

    There is no definitive answer. It was never tested on or designed for Win 8. For the most part it should work, but there may be specific compatibility issues that you have to muddle through.

  • Is Adobe CS5 "..." Suite available...?

    Right i been wondering for a while now, say i bought a copy of Adobe CS5 Design Suite for a Macintosh platform, but i own both a Macintosh and PC could i use the same copy of Adobe CS5 Design Suite disc and install it on a PC and/or use the same product key on a PC downloaded version from the Adobe site?
    I don't understand why, Adobe can't just make one disc so that is can be used on both PC/ MAC platforms, the disc size is available and so is the software to install the same program for both platforms?

    what's not to understand? if they did that they couldn't charge you 2 times.
    as it is you can load the win version under emulation on the mac as the eula allows you 2 installs as long as they're not running at the same time.

  • Recomendations on how to deploy Adobe updates in a corporate enviroment

    I am sure this has been asked but I couldn't find anything
    We have many computers on a corporate network that are running Adobe Acrobat (6, 7, 8, & 9).  I am looking for an effective way to update all of my adobe versions with the latest patches on all of the computers without going to each computer and downloading 6-12 different updates.
    Is there a centrally manage and deploy the updates to all PCs automatically?  I know there is many high-end software to do this that will cost 5,000-10,000 dollars but I would prefer to do it for much less if possible.  Right now for us Adobe is the Only product that is 'out of date'.
    If not, do I need to download each update and deploy all of them or is there a 'rollup' package or service pack I can install instead?  ex...for Acrobat 8.0 I need to download 8.01, 8.02, 8.03, then 8.1, 8.12, 8.12, then 8.2...etc.  I would like to download the most recent update and apply that to the origional installation.  Most software has this capability so I may be surprised if Adobe doesn't offer this ability.
    Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
    Thank You

    I am in a similiar circumstance and received the following advice:
    CowboyInAZ recommended to me:
    Why not manually download the standalone installer of 9.3.1, and put it on a network server? Then link to it internally, and let the end users install it from the internal link, where the firewall can't interfere with it.

  • Photoshop CS5 (Win) crossgrade to CS6 (Mac)

    Hello there,
    I've done a bit of research here and elsewhere and I haven't found a complete and current answer. I currently have PS CS5 on my Windows PC (educational discount) and just pulled the trigger on a Mac desktop and I'm planning to switch platforms over time if this works out for me.
    It's my undestanding that I should be able to crossgrade from CS5 Win to CS6 Mac. But I'm not quite sure how to do that and how much that will be. Also I'm unclear if that option went away now that things have moved to CC - which I will absolutely and 100% never ever sign up for independent of how cheap they'll make it.
    So, can I still do the crossgrade to CS6? And if so how?

    You don't actually need to contact Adobe or sign forms to purchase a crossgrade any more. It's all done online.
    See http://prodesigntools.com/move-adobe-cs5-between-computers-or-windows-to-mac.html
    How to Switch Platforms from PC to Mac (or Vice Versa)
    Just go to http://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/cs6._sl_id-contentfilter_sl_catalog_sl_software_sl_c reativesuite6.html
    Click the Buy button then I want to buy: Upgrade, I own: CS5, Platform: Mac
    Then complete your purchase.
    To install, just install the CS6 Upgrade (Full version not required) and enter your CS6 (Mac retail) upgrade serial number then enter your CS5 (Win Edu) full serial number when prompted for the serial from an earlier qualfying version.

  • Adobe CS5 Web Premium

    Hi,
    Has anyone re packaged Adobe CS5 Web premium ,i was just trying to make a silent setup for this Suite using the Install.xml/Uninstall.xml method but i was suprised to see that when we pass the following parameter with the setup.exe which is --record=1 the following installtion/un installation xmls are not getting created at the desired location which is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Uninstall...according to the various Adobe blogs for earlier products like Adobe CS4 and CS3 this is the specified way of creating the installation/uninstallation xml.But has anyone implemented the same on Adobe CS5,i had tried to implement it but that was not working.
    So i decided to download the Adobe Enterprise Manager tool and then go ahead with deployment method of creating Build MSI,yes it was a success but on installing the MSI all the CS5 products were installed but along with the main setup.exe there were various other products such as Adobe AIR,Adobe Help,Adobe Media Player which are not getting installed  after the Build MSI is installed.Any insights guys??
