Deploy capex through application library
Hi,
Can anyone experience the problem when deploying capex through application library 9.3.1?
The job progress kepts at 9% with detail:
"initialing product action...
product response:200..
waiting for status udpates...".
BTW, I
1) have already performed "validate" check for capex app. There is no error.
2) no error is captured in the shared service
3) SharedServices_Metadata.log shows
2008-02-11 02:59:17,324 [http-58080-Processor15] ERROR com.hyperion.eie.modelmgmt.stateless.action.GetProjectForAppAction - The resource '/files/Projects/capexp2.HP' was not found.
2008-02-11 02:59:17,324 [http-58080-Processor15] ERROR com.hyperion.eie.modelmgmt.stateless.action.GetProjectForAppAction - com.hyperion.eie.common.cms.ResourceNotFoundException: error.resourceNotFound
4) SharedServices_security.log shows several lines like this:
2008-02-11 03:00:53,252 [http-58080-Processor7] WARN com.hyperion.css.spi.impl.nv.XMLRoleRegDocumentModel.processRoleElement(Unknown Source) - The Product Version 'HP-9.3.1' in the Registration file does not match the application version '9.3.1'

Hi Kenneth,
Were you able to deploy the CAPEX plan? We are also stuck in deploying Workforce and CAPEX plan? If you could successfully, please share your inputs on the forum or through direct mail [email protected]

HFM Application Library error Null while deploying the validated app
Hello,
I am trying to deploy a HFM application on EPM 11.1.3 and when I right click on the application in Application library of EPMA, I am getting a pop-up with the following error:
Application Library Error
null
Please note:
1. This is a EPMA managed HFM application.
2. The validation of the application is successful.
3. Deployement errors with the above error.
4. It is on Windows 2003 server with MSServer as the RDBMS.
Please help me resolve this issue.
thanks,
AnkitHi Ankit,
This would be normally resolved by Restarting the EPM Services and also remember to restart the Calculation manager services as well.
Once the services are restarted try deploying the application again to see if it deploys successfully.
Hope this helps,
Thank you,

Problem while deploying the ADF application in weblogic 10.3
Hi,
We did the application using ADF and EJB3.0 in JDeveloper11g relese and this application is working fine when i run in the JDeveloper release. When i try to deploy the same application in weblogic 10.3(Which I downloded and installed) i am getting following error.
shared library "adf.oracle.domain" could not be found.
Can any one tell me, what the problem is?
Thanking you,
NIRANJAN REDDY.person with many names,
You need to configure the WLS domain for ADF.

A required application library failed to load and the product cannot continue
Seems like I go through this problem time and again with Photoshop + Acrobat CS2 and still have yet to resolve a way of fixing it short of completely wiping my drive and re-installing Windows (XP Pro) The error is "application library failed to load and the product cannot continue"
If there is anyone out there that has figured out a way to fix this issue please fill me in.
This time I went as far as a complete and though removal of all Adobe products from the system and the registry and then completely reinstalled the product.
I have forgone purchasing CS3 because of this issue as I am 99% sure that it has still not been resolved.
Basically Photoshop and Acrobat are useless at this point and I am using an old version of Picture Publisher and Macromedia Fireworks to complete my work. This I assume is good advertising for Adobe :)
Anyone have any ideas????
See this post in the forum "could not complete your request because of a program error", PDF format, cs2, xp" as this is an ongoing Adobe issue that they have completely blown off!

PictureJohn,
foud your message very helpfull. I experience the same problem when strating a CS2 program (Photoshop, Indesign,...) over a terminal server connection.
It's weird because starting more than one instance is possible (despite what's written in the article ) as long as the users have administrative rights. I've encountererd this problem because my daughter of 11 wants to use Photoshop now. I have a terminal server set up so the kids may experiment with their own desktops whithout the risk to screw it up and because I can access all my programs from wherever I want.
But as I found out now I must buy volume licensing instead of retail (even if it's for just one instance...)
Want to know if possible how "difficult" it was to change your retail to a volume licensed version? Did you have to pay the full amount again? Hope an upgrade exist from Creative Suite CS2 - retail to Creative suite CS3 - volume licensed for the same price as from retail to retail... Or am I hoping to much?
Kind regards and thanks for your info,
Patrick -

Can anyone please tell what exactly the issue could be because of which that particular file is not recognized.
Thanks & regards,
AnupreetHi,
Its always advisable to use JSPM for the installation. Copy all the installable files in the JSPM temp folder and the instalation will be taken care and you don't have to worry about dependencies.
If you are using SDM make sure that you deploy PCUI_GP component FIRST, then the other components in any order.

try to look at your weblogic-application.xml and check if it has code like this
<library-ref>
<library-name>oracle.webcenter.skin</library-name>
<specification-version>11.1.1</specification-version>
<exact-match>false</exact-match>
</library-ref>
If it has, then You might want to deploy oracle.webcenter.skin as a library in your Weblogic server. -
Urget Error while deploying the HFm application in EPMA
Dear All
Please suggest me on the below error while i am deploying the HFM application sencond time system throughs the below error. for this what i have to check ??
Error :The 'Test_YearCon' dimension has been modified since the first successful deployment of the application.
Error: The 'Test_Period' dimension has been modified since the first successful deployment of the application.
Thanks in Advace.
Regads.
Raoyou have made modifications in your Year and Period dimensions, even in just the aliases possibly, since the last time the Application was deployed.
it is not allowed to make any modifications to these dimensions after 1st deployment. HFM does not support it.
to get a successful deployment you will need to delete the application and redeploy.
also please make sure you are using the latest Service Pack version of your release of EPMA e.g. if 9.3.1 make sure you are using 9.3.1 Service Pack 3 and fully read the Readme documentation that comes with it. -

Packagin and Deploying Fusion Web Application
Hi,
I have created a Fusion web application which has Model and ViewController projects.
I have created a deployment profiles as below for each project.
1) Model - Which creates an "ADF Library Jar File"
2) ViewController - Which creates a "War" file.
I see that in the WAR file of ViewController contains the Model Projects - Entity Objects, ViewObjects and classes .
So for deploying my Web Applications is WAR file of ViewController is enough or Should I create a EAR file which has both #1 and #2
Thanks
AjayYou sure can do in JDev. Select menu Application->'Application Properties', in the dialog select Deployment and the define a new EAR deployment profile. It's pretty easy to follow the instructions in the dialog and your are done.

I am trying as I always do, to import some photos from my SD card, and my Destination panel under Macintosh HD only shows 4 items, Applications, Library, System, and User Information. User Information has no drop down file indicator. Normally it would show my entire picture catalog for me to select from. What has happened to it?
It's not a shell script, it doesn't use a parfile. It's a PL/SQL stored procedure that calls the DBMS_DATAPUMP built-in package directly. At this point, I've pretty much got it memorized and no, no one would be changing it without my knowledge or notice.
I know it's 10% of the correct size because sometimes it actually works. I have even watched it fail when I've run it manually as opposed to running it through the OEM scheduler. It's entertaining actually to watch the dumpfile grow to appox 250MB (the correct size) and then shrink to around 20MB (+/- 50 MB) or so when the process fails and finishes. So yes, I'm pretty sure it's a bug - though I haven't jumped to the conclusion that it's neccessarily an Oracle bug yet.
No I can't share - for the same reason I hesitate to open tickets, this is all happening on a closed set of systems. I can't cut and paste - everything has to go through an approved sanitation process, which is laborious and involves cutting CDs and using sneakernet, especially when Oracle support wants every log file under the sun before they want to try and assist. I can use some disgression to retype but I'm not a glutton for punishment in that regard.
So normally if I can't debug it myself - I'll resort to asking questions on forums like this, hoping to find someone who's experienced a similar error and has a work around before I put myself through the torture of opening an SR. I'll let this ride another day or so before I resort to that.
I do appreciate your suggestions, please don't let my responses make you thing otherwise. -
Hi,
Can anyone pls point me any link/ src code for deplyoing wsp using power shell. I know I can deploy it through Add-spsolution and install-spsolution, the issue is that, it will give "status - stuck in deploying scheduled..."
and i need to restart the sharepoint services - services.msc --> SP administration and timer services - and then i need to run the exceadmsvcjobs command to deploy / update the wsp successfully in solution store.
i mean, whats the power shell equivalent of these tasks. or anyone has already scripted these.

Can't delete or re-deploy a FHFM application in EPMA
Hi,
I have a problem, that after successful deployment of HFM application I can't delete or re-deploy that application. "Delete" and "deploy" buttons are inactive.
Application status - Deployed. Application is registered in Shared Services application group.
EPM Architect Release - 11.1.1.3.0Sounds like you have a running process in the background that you might not know about. Click the Nav wheel and open the Jobs Library then filter by running tasks (hyperlink in upper left hand corner). If there is more than one person allowed to make changes, you may need to check each user.
