Deploy Creative Suite Color Settings

Hi all
Does anybody know how to deploy the Creative Suite Color Settings?
I have created a deployment-script of Adobe CS4 Standard. I have also created a CFS-file (Adobe Color Settings File), with the color settings that I want my users to use.
Today Im copying the setting-file into c:\program files\common files\adobe\color\settings\recommended on each client computer, and then the users opens Creative Suite Color Setting in Adobe Bridge and selects my settings.
I wish to have my settings selected as default, so the user doesnt have to do anything. Is that possible?
/Steffen

Hi Steffan,
I was wondering if you had any success with this at all?
I am in exactly the same boat as you and hope you had more luck than I have the last few months. I have created a script like you that drops the CFS and ICC profile into the right paths, I even got to the point where I found out what folder holds the colour settings (Documents Settings\USERNAME\local settings\ application data\adobe\color)
However when I move that folder (by script or manually) to default user or any other user folder under the same path it doesn't seem to be Syncing, it is the Defualt option in Bridge but doesn't apply until you click Apply which means users need to do something which I don't trust them to :)
If I open INDD or PS before I open Bridge (or after without Applying) the standard settings are still applied.
Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers
Garry

  • Creative Suite Color Settings

I have Photoshop CS4. When I try to access the Creative Suite Color settings item from the Edit menu in Bridge I get an error message saying that Color Suite Management is not enabled because a qualifying product has to be launched at least once. Is not Photoshop, which I have launched many times, a qualifying product?

I have received this message only when I tried to use Adobe 1998 rgb when ever I used North American general purpose setting it synchronized.SINCE THIS IS A OLDER POST DID ANYONE PROVIDE AN ANSWER THAT WOULD HELP US BOTH. HELP NEED TO SYNCH TO ADOBE 1998 setting.

  • Undo creative suit color settings?

Is there a way to undo creative suit color settings in my Bridge CS5??
Now it automatically applies custom change (I'm guessing color profile) to my raw files every time I open them.
    Thanks.

I have purchaced and installed Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium in its whole and I get the same error message: "Suite Color Management is not enabled. Suite Color Management requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature."
What do you mean by "is only available via Suite"? What is "qualifying product"? Do I have to buy something more?

  • Creative Suite Color Settings Error Message

I have completely bought and installed Indesign CS5.5, Photoshop CS5 Extended and Illustrator CS5. The Adobe Bridge was of course installed with each of these packages. Now I try to setup one colour setting in Illustrator save it as required, than I start the Bridge, got to edit -> Creative Suite Colour Settings (just for synchronization) and I get a nice Error message, telling me that Colour Management can not be enabled.
My question now, do I really have to buy all theses software packages again in an adobe creative suite edition, or is it also possible to synchronize these settings if one buys this software applications separately?

That question is beyond me.  You might try posting this in the Creative Suite forum.  http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/creativesuites_windows

  • Creative Suite Color settings disabled

    Hi,
I'm wondering why I'm getting a following error message (Suite Color Management is not enabled, Suite Color Management requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature) when trying to change the color settings from Bridge? This is something I've done before. I have been using CS6 for at least 2 and a half years and it's officially bought (student version). I've been using Bridge, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobal ever since. Any ideas?

the integrated Adobe RGB preset and a standard profile.
i am not sure what that means?
can´t get any further is the color rendering in PS and ACR, the colors are limited
Photoshop and ACR convert/transform the source space to the monitor profile so when you Assign/softproof a different profile of course Photoshop will display it differently (it is totally predictable)
    Softproofing in PS
View> Proof Setup generally confuses most people and discussions about trying to troubleshoot display issues...
    left: proofing OFF
    middle: sRGB proof
    right: monitor proof
proofing off: this is what you want to "proof" your source document 'accurately' on your monitor (use/apply the correct ICC profile and Photoshop will display your document properly) -- softproofing is generally used to "soft proof" a device-specific profile, like a printer
sRGB proof: that is unclear, you mean you Edit> Assigned sRGB profile (or you are softproofing the sRGB colorspace)?
monitor proof: you mean you, Edit> Assigned the monitor profile (or are softproofing Monitor RGB)?

  • Anyone got this error message when going to the creative suite color settings from the bridge ?

I got this error message saying :"BRIDGE'S PARENT APPLICATION IS NOT ACTIVE, Bridge requires that a qualifying product has to have been launched at least once to enable this feature.
Plz anyone do you have any tips or help to fix this problem? thank you very much

What do you have installed, in what form did you acquire it, and what kind of computer you're using please?
So Bridge doesn't think you have any other Adobe programs installed properly.
If this isn't a trial or cracked version you're using, you're entitled to free installation support from Adobe by phone.

  • Creative Suite Color Setting

I have Adobe CS6. When I go to my Adobe Bridge's Creative Suite Color Setting (under Edit Menu), it says "Suite Color Management is not enabled, Suite Color Management Requires a qualifying product launched at least once to enable this feature." I opened PS, ID, IL with no help. How do I solve this problem? Also Bridge's Camera Raw Preferences displaying the same error message. Please help.

    Hi
Thanks for the info, do you think it would be possible in future releases?
Also im now thinking, if i take out all the csf files creative suite has installed and just leave my custom made one. Then bridge has to sync this one fir all adobe apps right?
Plwase let me know what you think?

Not sure I follow you here. Nothing stiops you from assigning the same profiles in every app. Yes, the gloabl synchronization is only available in suites, but in the end it's just a comfort feature, nothing essential that prevents you from setting up unified CM at all and considering, that you probably only do it once and then never again, a very minor thing...

  • How can I remove an older version of Creative Suite while deploying Creative Suite 6

After you build an install package using the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise is there a way it can be deployed to upgrade an older version of Creative Suite.   In my organization we do not need both versions and I have about 100 machines to deploy this to and do not want to have to uninstall the old Creative Suite before deploying the new one as that would take too much time.
I am also limited on hard drive space on many of my workstations so I would not like to have both Creative Suites taking up space.

Branching this discussion out and moving it to the Creative Suite Enterprise Deployment forum.  Bwilk217 the users in this forum should be able to assist you with your inquiry.

  • Problem Deploying Creative Suite 5.5 to Windows 7 64 Bit

    Hi,
I`ve been looking into deploying CS 5.5 Design Premium to our teaching machines for the last few days now.
Finding it very difficult to get the suite to deploy.

    Hi Mike,
I'm also trying to deploy the package in an Education environment. So far we've worked out that the path tends to eat up quite a length and ideally should be reduced. Out deployment tool at the moment is Altiris, and there's a call in with them to fix a specific problem with that.
As a result we copy the package locally and install it from a slightly shorter directory structure. Also of note - to deploy and run the package:
You'll need to SHIM the java.cpl files and Adobe Extension manager exe, using the Application Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft (or google Manifest + Windows 7). The SHIM fix you're looking for is RunAsInvoker as far as I can work out.
Unfortunately the package we've created still doesn't deploy 100%, the set-up.dat file deep inside the package seems to work and starts creating shortcuts etc but then fails at some point later in the installation. We're still investigating what's gone wrong as it then rolls everything back.

  • Using AAMEE to Package CS6 for Enterprise Deployment | Creative Suite In The Enterprise | Adobe TV

CS6 software requires activation and Adobe ID login. By packaging CS6 with AAMEE 3.0 before deployment, only the IT Admins needs to complete a one-time package activation and Adobe ID login, individual users of thesoftware do not. Learn about these new requirements and how to help yourenterprise customers through this new process by using the free AAMEEtool. AAMEE also gives you advanced package configuration and updat options.
    http://adobe.ly/LGI0Xf

We have a major issue with the way this works... we have no internet on our workstations, and want to deploy... it appears there is NO WAY to do an offline activation using the AAMEE program!!! This is a major oversight for people who work on contained networks, with zero internet on any workstations where the deployment can be made.
Please let me know of a way round this, it is quite urgent!
    Thanks

  • Synchronizing color settings in Adobe Bridge

I want to synchronize color settings in Adobe Bridge and I've currently installed photoshop extended CS5 and InDesing CS5.5 (these programs are not installed from any Adobe Creative Suite package. I mean these are not from:
Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium
Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard
Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Web Premium
Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium
    or
Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection
My adobe photoshop CS5 extended is downloaded as a single package from softarchive.net and so on InDesign CS5.5 is downloaded as a single package from softarchive.net.)
When I click Edit > Creative Suite Color Settings... from Adobe Bridge an error message appears:
Suite Color Management is not enabled.
Suite Color Management requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature.
    Can anyone help me?

I believe Suite Color Management is only installed when you install one of the editions of the Adobe Creative Suite.
You'll need go into Edit > Color Settings in Photoshop and in InDesign and use the same settings. That is, you'll have to do it more manually.

  • Suite color management is not enabled

I have Creative suite CS4 production premium.  I have downloaded the trial version of InDesign.   When I open InDesign go to open/ browse in bridge then in  bridge edit/Creative suite color settings  I get the following error message.
    Suite color management not enabled.
Suite color management requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature
I get the same error if I launch bridge fro PS.  I have anther machine that does not have the trial of InDesign installed and the color settings work as they should.  I am assuming this problem is a result of the trial version of InDesign.  Can anyone confirm this and is there a work around to fix the problem?

The "Creative Suites (CS)" are bundles of individual applications, bought and installed as a package.
The applications, when bought individually, are still given the designation CS.
The synchronisation of colour management cannot be acheived with single applications. Under what circumstances are you seeing this message?
