Deploy Image without sysprep?

Ok so I have used MDT before but have never figured this part out. When I deploy an image is there anyway that as soon as it is done installing the image it will just boot to the desktop, rather than wait for the "Installing Devices" and the
OOBE mini setup you always get. With acronis we can deploy the image and we do not get all that. Is there anyway other than not sysprepping it? I know if you do not sysprep it that the SID will not change which is an issue since we join them to the domain,
unless there is a workaround to generate a new SID without sysprepping. Also I am deploying Windows 7 using MDT 2013.

Yes i agree with Henrik_Dahl you must have to sysprep image if you want to deploy. sysprep will prepare you image as
hardware independent to get installed on many machines.

Yes I get that part, but is there anyway to skip or not have the initial configuration wizard?

  • Imaging without sysprep

I have been working on creating windows xp images ready for deployment on
a variety of workstations and uploading them to an imaging server. These
images are used either for single download or to use for multicast
sessions when the operating system becomes corrupt or for regular
maintenance. I use zenworks 7 imaging cd to upload/download images to
workstations, when cloning a master pc in multicast session i have to
sysprep the master otherwise i get SID conflict. However when i create a
fresh image and upload to server i do this without syspreping and i get no
SID conflict when bringing that image back down to any workstation of same
spec. Is this a feature in Zen7? or is it a case that the image file does
not contain SID by default and are generated only when the image is
    downloaded?

    Why not just use SysPrep?
If you are worried about the SID, you could always use a free tool like
newSID and run it first thing after an image has been restored.

  • Deploy Image without the need of a running Windows installation

    Current situation:
You have to have Windows installed on a destination client in order to be able to provision a new Base Layer
    Feature request:
PXE boot a Windows PE system to estabilish a connection with the Mirage server but having the possibility to define the destination Harddisk or Partition.
This would make mass deployment of Retail Hardware much more easier...
    Best Regards,
    Don

    Thanks Aaron!
I'm glad you answered and that you agree with me. This is certainly one of the things that would improve the product.
I have some more FEs to suggest... :-) Will post them shortly...
It really would be nice to see this great product to become even better in the next future!
    All the best,

  • How to load an image without a gui? big problems...

Hey guys, I usually try my best to not ask for help and figure stuff out myself. But this last week i've been having big problems with this work project.
My goal is to load images from disk, and append them to each other to create one big image.
The images are 0-9.jpg each file containing a number in it. then i create one big file with 4 numbers in it. called final.jpg.
so far i can do all this, but whenever the program is finished, the application just keeps running. the program has literally gone through all the steps... i have a system.out.println printed on the last line after the main, after the class instantiation... and still it stays running.
how do you guys load images without a gui? This program will probably be running under unix, so i can't create a (for component example)
Panel() and media track the file load... so i'm pretty much stumped
any help you guys can provide would be really incredibly helpfull at this point. I have searched these threads for a few hours without luck. I found only 1 real post related to my problem, but eventually they said use MediaTracker = new Mediatracker( new Panel() ); which i can't use. :(
    Thanks a lot guys.
    :D

yeah tried doing that, didn't work either.
    UPDATE
    I FINALLY found a way...
and here it is for others to find!
    public BufferedImage getImage(String filename) throws Exception {
    FileInputStream input = new FileInputStream( filename );
    JPEGImageDecoder decoder = JPEGCodec.createJPEGDecoder( input );
    BufferedImage image = decoder.decodeAsBufferedImage();
    return image;
it returns an image buffer, but it's better than nothing! :)
    atleast this functions under unix.

  • How can I attach an image without the image is in the email body? (using the new mail the Lion)

How can I attach an image without the image is in the email body? (using the new mail the Lion)
I want in attachment, not in the body mail.

I think your only solution is to zip the image files first and then attach them.
Read this from a site I found:
Sending Graphical Attachments -- When you attach a graphical image to your message, the recipient of your message sees the image inline (that is, in the body of the message) if her email client supports inline display. ("Take Control of Email with Apple Mail" contains a table listing the capabilities of popular Mac and PC email clients.) If a client does not support inline display (or the recipient has turned off the inline display option), the file appears as an attachment that must be opened in a separate program.
On the one hand, an inline image is easier for the recipient to see - all she has to do is look at it. On the other hand, inline images can be frustrating to scroll through. If you do not wish to send a graphical image inline, you must compress the file before attaching it - Mail, sadly, lacks a built-in compression option, though fortunately for Panther users, the Finder offers Zip compression without requiring a separate application.
Note that when you compose a new message, Mail always shows attachments in the body of your message. You can manually drag them somewhere else, but many email clients display all attachments in a separate list, regardless of where you place them in the message body.
If you paste an image into a message or drag & drop an image from another window (say, a Web browser), Mail converts the raw image data to an attachment in TIFF format. On the other hand, if you drag & drop the icon of an image file (or use the Attach button to locate the file using the file browser), Mail leaves the attached image in its original format. This difference is significant, because although most email clients can display JPEG images just fine, support for TIFF - especially in non-Mac email clients - is less common. If possible, I suggest attaching image files as opposed to pasting or dragging in raw image data.

  • Can I delete all of the images in "All Images" without losing any originals?

Can I delete all of the images in "All Images" without losing any original photos? Thank you.

Simply: iPhoto is a database. Like all databases it requires that you manipulat the data via the tools provided and not through backdoors. If you delete matter managed by iPhoto (or for that matter, any database) through some other means then the database will be unaware of the deletions. The database will not reflect the changes and you'll have significant issues going forward with iPhoto.
So, to be really, really clear: if you delete Photos managed by iPhoto via the All Images search you will corrupt your Library.
It's your computer, your images and your iPhoto. You have the information, you decide how to use it.

i have connected my macbook pro to my tv via MDP to HDMI port cable, all that is showing up is the basic desktop image without any icons, what do i do to correct this

Your MBP is running in "extended desktop" mode, where the two screens together make one larger area to display windows. You can drag one or more windows from the primary (internal) screen to the secondary (TV) screen. By default, the secondary screen is off to the right of the primary screen.
If you would prefer the two screens show the same image, you want to switch to "mirroring" mode. You will have to pick a single resolution for both screens, which may look poor on one or the other.
Both the relative positions of the two screens in extended desktop mode and the switch to mirroring mode can be set in System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement.

Consider adding the delete symbol to the Finder window tool bar.  This way you can highlight all the photos you want to delete at the same time then hit the "delete" symbol.
Open a Finder window/View/Customize Toolbar - follow the directions in the customized pop down window.

  • EPub Scanned Images without Text Flow

I am working on an ebook that has lots of complex illustrations, tables, captions. Scanning the images by converting them to JPEG is needed in order for the illlustrations and text to not move. Text flow is an option that I will not be able to offer.
How do I create an ePub book with scanned images without text flow. I did it once, but cannot remember how to do it.

    TabulaMentis wrote:
The ePub version of the ebook will have a fixed layout without text flow. You mentioned that I buy someone's book, but this is a simple question. Why does InDesign not make it easy to convert an InDesign CS5.5 file into an ePub file with fixed images without text flow. Amazon and Google have lots of those types of ebooks in ePub format for sale with fixed images without text flow?
Because if you read anything about creating EPUB files, you'll find that that's NOT how they're intended to be used.
For example, in the first paragraph of the Wikipedia article about EPUB, you'll read:
"EPUB is designed for reflowable content, meaning that the text display can be optimized for the particular display device used by the reader of the EPUB-formatted book. The format is meant to function as a single format that publishers and conversion houses can use in-house, as well as for distribution and sale."
So that's why InDesign exports EPUB the way it does.

  • Delete BLOB image without deleting associated row?

We have some BLOB data stored out of line. The rows associated with it have been set to NULL, but the image files remain and are filling the tablespace. Is there any way of getting rid of the images without deleting their associated rows?
We have also tried DBMS_LOB.ERASE without success.
    Thanks.

    Hi Liz,
You can't delete a cell, but you can move the cells below it up. Select all cells below that cell in that column. Either drag the selected cells up, or Edit > Cut then Paste onto the cell you want to remove. What this does is move the cells' contents.
    To "remove" A2,
There is now a blank cell at the bottom. This has also moved the cell borders.

    Ian.

  • Import images WITHOUT any IPTC metadata

I've been racking by brain trying to work out how to do this, but cannot find a way, I'm sure it's something simple.
When I import my files the keywords are always imported and put into the top of the keyword directory instead of nested in folders I have organised in the keyword HUD. To solve this I have to remove all the new keywords, then import my IPTC metadata using iView Media Pro and the excellent Annoture.
Is there a way to import images without any IPTC data coming with them? I have tried 'Add Metadata From: All IPTC' and had it set to replace and left the fields blank, but this did not work.
    Any ideas?

Ok, half way there. I downloaded an app called Pref Setter to edit the preferences by deleting the array strings that I no longer needed.
Also you can adjust the hierarchy of the auto completion data. I found that helpful with the copyright field since they all start off the same.
Need to still find a way to have the data automatically entered from a default setting, with out having to start typing.

Official JPEG specs does not allow any transparency at all,
    so save your
time and quit trying it. GIF only support limited colors (up
    to 256), one
of that can be assigned as "transparent". So when FW exports
    GIF from a
source file that have any partial transparency, it "premixes"
    any partial
transparent color of source with "matte" color. In case the
    latter
correspond to average color of your page background, and your
    page
background is not too wild and colorful, and you are not
    using too wide
partially transparent stuff, it normally work well.
Among the image formats common on the Web, only PNG provides
    true partial
transparency. Alas, IE still does not correctly understand
    that part of
PNG specs that was set years ago. So if you definitely
    positevely can't
live without transparency things that are available in GIFs,
    PNG plus
specific CSS and\or Javascript trics is the only way to go.
    However, I'd
personally make sure I can't live with old limited GIFs
    before going that
    way.

  • RESIZING GIF IMAGES WITHOUT LOSING ANIMATION

Is it possible to resize a Gif image without losing animation?  I tried but unfortunately lost the animation. I use CS3 Extended.  Thanks

No, I don't think so. for that, you'd probably have to import your animation using the Video to Layers option, resize, then rebuild the animation and export it.
