Deploy Sar file on WL Sipserver 2.2

Hi,
Have anyone done sar file deployment on WL SipServer2.2? It would be good to know the deployment steps.
Cheers :)-
Jowsaki

With WLSS 2.2, you can deploy a sip application as a war file. If you have an existing sip application as .sar, you could rename it to .war and deploy it on wlss 2.2.
We have recently added support for deploying .sar archives also. So, if you really want this, feel free to contact BEA support at [email protected]
thanks,
Mihir

    Hi Megha,
1.Please check in the composit note whether any other SCA or SDA needs to be deployed before the selected one.
    2. Try to deploy it after restarting the J2ee-engine.
    3. Download the file again from sapmarket place and try with new one.
If the problem persists then please copy the full exception trace in the post.

  • Problem in deploying SAR file in clustered environment

    Hi All,
I need to deploy a BPM Project (BPM 11g) to two nodes of a Weblogic cluster.
However when I am trying from Jdeveloper it is showing both WLS_BPM1 and WLS_BPM2 as checked in deployment wizard. But after deplyment it shows that
it has only deployed in WLS_BPM1.
When I am deploying the SAR in the second node from Enterprise Manager it is showing

I created an SAR with a different revision. Now I tried to deploy it in WLS_BPM2 in EM but it got deployed in BPM1.
Can you please share any document on deploying BPM Projects to clustered weblogic

  • Deploying war file in weblogic SIP server 2.2

    Hi,
I trying to deploy a "sar" file in weblogic SIP server, but it is not allowing me to do that.So one of my collegue told me to change the "sar" to "war" and try to deploy.
When i am trying to deploy that it is saying that unable to find deployment descripter WEB-INF/web.xml in the war file.Actually it is there. But i don't know why it is giving that error.
Actually i need to deploy "sar" file and i changed that file into "war" file
What are all the trail and error to solve this problem
(1)I made the "war" file from file folders.
suppose my application directory name is "myapp"
then i am going into the "myapp" folder and from there i am trying to make war file and it is having all the related class files , sip.xml file , web.xml file.
Then i tryed to deploy that file from weblogic SIP server 2.2.console.
    (2) Next I included the weblogic.xml file also into the war file.
(3)The "sar" file working fine in SDS 3.1,but not in we blogic SIP server.
(4)The SDS3.1 is working with JRE 5 so i changed that JRE from 1.5 to jre 1.4. and again prepared the sar file and changed that SAR file to WAR file.
I created a domain in SIP server which was created in "user_projects."
For e.g., the domain name is "mydomain" and
    the directory structure is
    mydomain

Do i need to change any path setting in startWebLogic.cmd file.I didn't change any thing in the startWeblogic.cmd.
Since my war file is having all the related files like all the related "jar" files in that.

  • Use of SAR files in PAR file development

Can anyone tell me the need for executing the SAR files after the deploying NWDS.

    Hi,
To deploy SAR files, normally Service packs are provided in form of sar files.
For deploying them you need to use sapcar utility.
    use this command
    sapcar -xvf <sarfilename>
once u have done this, you will get a folder structure which will have a sapinst.exe. Just run this and your installation/upgrade will start.
For further information, this <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?threadID=140799">thread</a> might help you.

    Here are some alternatives:
1.Consider creating an application server connection and select deploy to your new application server connection, not to sar.
    2.Consult for example: SCAC-50012
    3. Recompile with -Xlint:unchecked for details
4.Although they seem harmless, get rid of the warnings
    5. Consider posting to another forum such as SOA Suite

  • Problem in Composite deployment using SAR file

    Hello All
We are facing issues during deployment of composites to a clustered environment. We created a simple HelloWorld Composite and deployed it as a SAR file. The deployment and test was successful for this composite. The WSDL and XSD of HelloWorld project is accessible over the browser.
Next we created a new Composite ( client of HelloWorld project). This second composite is just invoking the HelloWorld service. We tried to deploy the second composite SAR, but the deployment fails. We found that if we have a local WSDL as well as local XSD(*need of have local copies of both*) of the HelloWorld project; the second composite gets deployed and it executes without any error at runtime. (i.e. the HelloWorld endpoint gets invoked successfully ).
But when the second composite refers to the HelloWorld WSDL using https://host:port/..... ?wsdl (instead of local WSDL) of the HelloWorld project, it fails to deploy. We think for some reason the HelloWorld WSDL and XSD are not accessible during deployment of the SAR.
Also note that HelloWorld 'wsdl and xsd' are accessible over the browser.
We deployed these composites in a different clustered env and it gets deployed succesfully but fails in this one. Any pointers will be helpful!!
    Thanks

  • Deployment Descriptor for SOA-SAR files on weblogic?

    Hi,
i want to access a shared library (that i deployed separately) from within a SOA Project with an SCA composite that is deployed as a SOA-SAR.
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 along with the according Weblogic Server and SOA Suite.
My shared library is deployed correctly, because i can access it from e.g. other web applications. These are deployed as war files and therefore i have a weblogic.xml file, where i define my library-refs. The problem is, that weblogic.xml as well as weblogic-application.xml seem not to be processed when deploying the SOA-SAR file. Is there another descriptor for that, or is it just not possible to access shared libraries from within a SOA Project deployed as SOA-SAR?
For some more background information, i have my entities deployed as a shared library in weblogic (deployed as a web application(war file)). Now i want to create an SCA composite with a Spring component. A Bean defined in the Spring context shall access the entities from within the shared library.
I hope someone has a solution for this, because i already spent a lot of time on searching for a solution and did not even get close to one. The closest solution i found was deploying the SCA composite as a web application using in Spring the sca:service tag. In that case i have the problem that i want to use the SCA composite from within another SCA composite and i want it to use a local call, not a SOAP request for performance reasons. So this solution unfortunately doesn't fit my requirements.

Please ask this in the SOA Suite forum:

You might also find the answer in the SOA Suite 11g docs:

  • How to deploy .war file.

    Hi All,
I am new to SOA and done the Hello World BPM process. Then I deployed the apllication to SAR instead of deploying directly to the server. Then I deployed the SAR file in the EM console and tried to deploy the .war file in Weblogic console which is containing the ADF applications. But it showed me oracle.adf.library.webapp.ResourceServlet error. So, after that I tried deploying .ear file instead of the .war file. Then it get deployed successfully. But, I am unable to get the task in BPM workspace. Could you guys please suggest.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ram

Please attach the error log to this thread
Also did you package hibernate libraries within the application?  or added to classpath explicitly for server classloader to load it?
    Please check and revert back.
    Thanks,

  • Jboss sar file on web logic

    Hi,
We have .sar (Service Archive file) in jboss. We are now planning to migrate to Weblogic. Is there a way for deploying the .sar file into weblogic. If not directly possible, is there a work around where we can deploy the services on web logic.
Can some one throw some light on this at the earliest. We need this in one of our critical projects.
    Best Regards,
    Srikanth

Yes, i did encounter same issue. The problem is on the directory sytax as discussed here:
    Either use:
    jar cvf myapp.war -C <path_to_app_dir>/. -----> Note a '.' at the end is required
else cd to the path_to_app directory in command prompt and issue:
jar cvf myapp.war app_dir/. ---------> Note the '.' again with just the app_dir name with it.
This literally wraps up all project bytecode to the .war. Else you get the AppMerge fails as below:
    Exception in AppMerge flows' progression
D:\app_domain\servers\AdminServer\tmp\.appmergegen_1360162452253_oracle_jps.war\D:\ofm11g\oracle_common\modules\oracle.jps_11.1.1\common\schema\xml\11.1.1.3.0\jazn-data.xsd (The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect)::Probably the string length of the path of the file being extracted was too long or failed to overwrite the file
Let me know for any details.
    Thanks,
    Pramod

  • 11g SOA with AIA suddenly creates huge temp files(sar files)!!

    Hi All,
One of our clients that is on 11g SOA with AIA, the team observed while deploying applications, that it suddenly creates huge temp files(sar files) and the server slows down and then shuts down, has anyone seen such behavior or possible reasons?
If anyone could share such prior experience would be apreciated!
    Thanks for your time!
    Regards,

    Hi Ajay,
Could you check the managed server logs on the server you are deploying to? I prefer the soa_server1.out file if its available. Hopefully there is something more telling on that side.
My gut feeling is that there is a schema required by the ProcessFulfillmentOrderBillingBRMCommsAddSubProcess process has not been deployed (which sometimes happens with this PIP in particular).

  • Cannot deploy app files to j2ee engine in NWDS

    Hi,
I`ve got NWDS ver. 2.0.15 and I am trying to deploy some files to app server but I got message
Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !
I am almost 100%  it`s because I need to use proxy to connect the server. I set up proxy settings in window->preferences->workbench->proxy but I think this option doesn't affect to j2ee engine connection. Cause for example I can access portal on port 50000 using my browser (with set up proxy), but I cannot deploy PAR file what`s more the settings window->preferences->SAP Enterprise portal are correct and the same which I used to connect portal using web browser.
I was thinking about other way to check the connection and SDM Remote GUI came on my mind. Does anybody know how to set up proxy in this program?

    Rich,
I did it and I am absolutley sure that host and message server are correct. I think that the problem is that to connect server the connection should be via proxy. And I think beacuse of it connection desnt work.
Look at my example I can connect portal via web browser with configured proxy, but I cannot deploy PAR file using NWDS with the same port and host as I used in browser.
I have configured proxy in NWDS (window->preferences->workbench->proxy) but I am affraid that this setting doesnt take affect to j2ee engine settings and Enterprise portal deployment settings.
Now I am looking for tool which gives me possibility to connect SDM some other way with proxy. Or maybe there is some soft that allows me to set all outgoing network connections to go via proxy.
