please help me. it  is very very disaster!
I think is loss account SQL server 2008r2!

    Hello,
I stronly recommend you post the detail error message to us while you try to connect to SQL Server instance, it's useful for us to do further investigation.
Microsoft recommends that you do not install SQL Server 2008 R2 on a domain controller, there are some limitations:
You cannot run SQL Server services on a domain controller under a local service account or a network service account.
After SQL Server is installed on a computer, you cannot change the computer from a domain member to a domain controller. You must uninstall SQL Server before you change the host computer to a domain controller.
After SQL Server is installed on a computer, you cannot change the computer from a domain controller to a domain member. You must uninstall SQL Server before you change the host computer to a domain member.
SQL Server failover cluster instances are not supported where cluster nodes are domain controllers.
SQL Server Setup cannot create security groups or provision SQL Server service accounts on a read-only domain controller. In this scenario, Setup will fail.
On Windows Server 2003, SQL Server services can run under a domain account or a local system account.
So, I would suggest you try to open up Windows Services list and changed the account for SQL Server service.

I downloaded java ee 5 tools bundle (with netbeans and without JDK) and execute it but after extracting file, it warned:

It's strange. In other my computer (winxp SP2) I installed it in same way without problem.

  • CiscoWorks LMS 3.2 Won't Start on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise

    All,
I installed CiscoWorks LMS 3.2 RME on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and the daemon manager won't start.  The server is a VMware ESX server 4.0.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing.
I get message "The service is not responding to the control function"
    Has anyone had this issue?
    Stephanie

There could be several reasons this happens.  Common one in Windows 2008 is the swap is not set properly as it defaults to "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives".  Try setting the swap to 8GB manually or whichever is the recommendation for your current device count as per:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/3.2/install/guide1/prereq.html
Also make sure the startup services are set this way:
    CiscoWorks ANI database engine: Manual
    CiscoWorks Daemon Manager: Automatic
CiscoWorks RME NG database engine: Manual
    CiscoWorks Tomcat Servlet Engine: Manual
    CiscoWorks Web Server: Manual
    CWCS Cmf database engine: Manual
    CWCS rsh/rcp service: Automatic
    CWCS syslog service: Automatic
    CWCS tftp service: Automatic
    DFM dfmEpm database engine: Manual
    DFM dfmFh database engine: Manual
    DFM dfmInv database engine: Manual
Set DEP for "Windows Essential Programs Only" and set an exclusion for CSCOpx in your anti-virus on-access scanning settings.  Note that Windows 2008 R2 versions are not supported.

  • Management Pack for Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP1

    Hello,
I tried to manage the performance of a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP1 (6.0.6001) but SCOM 2007 R2 just check the availability with a ping status.
I have installed the normal management packs:
On the same SCOM, I have servers with Windows Server 2008 R2 and they work perfect.
    What can I do?

    Hi Journey Tinoco,
Performance can be monitored by using the active alerts TAB where a alert / alerts will be triggered based on the default management pack which you have installed / imported or if you have created a custom monitor based on your preference on what performance
counter you want to monitor on windows server 2008 servers VIA SCOM.
Or you can pull server performance report specific for Windows server 2008 from the reporting TAB as per the below screen shot for details.
The one which you are opened is the health explorer view which is not showing much details.
Go to reporting TAB ===> Select Windows server 2008 operating system monitoring and then What ever appropriate report you need to pull based on your requirement. For example i have pulled a report below for "Operating system performance.
Over here Click object and select the computer name and the icon should be a Windows serve / Computer as per the icon in my screen shot below. Select the time and date from and to the report you want and dont touch the add object option. Once done click
the Run button on the left to you will get the report as below.
Please note: If the below report is what you are looking for is not available in your SCOM's  reporting TAB. Then you have not installed the reporting Management pack for Windows server 2008 monitoring. Download
    it from the below link.

    Hope this helps you.

    Hi,
This error means that your DC does not support the encryption method the ACS wants to use.
Usually this happens when you run 2008 Server with 2003 functionality...
You will need to run ktpass.exe according to the DC you are running:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/nac/appliance/configuration_guide/48/cas/s_adsso.html#wp1277452.
For Windows 2008 Server at 2003 Server functional level:
ktpass -princ newadsso/[adserver.][email protected] -mapuser newadsso -pass
    PasswordText -out c:\newadsso.keytab -ptype KRB5_NT_PRINCIPAL
    HTH,

  • Sharepoint 2007 and SQL 2008 SP3 on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2 (64-bit)

Is there any documentation we can check if SQL 2008 SP3 is compatible with Sharepoint 2007 SP2 or SP3? Both Sharepoint and SQL servers are running on separate Virtual machines (Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2(64-bit)). Currently DB is running on
SQL server 2008 SP2, and we would like to have SP3 loaded on it, but want to find if there is any compatibility issue?
    Thanks in advance!
    mh

I'm not aware of any known issues with SQL Server 2008 SP3 and SharePoint 2007. I did a quick check and saw one person reporting an issue with their Central Admin site after applying the SQL Server update, but that's it.
With that being said, I would strongly encourage you to test out the application of that SQL Server service pack in a non-production environment well before you apply it in production. There is always a chance that your environment has something set up in
it that would cause an unexpected issue, and the best way to get an idea of whether or not an issue exists is by doing it somewhere else first before you do it in prod.

  • Upgrade Server 2008 Enterprise Domain Controller to Server 2012 Standard?

    Hey there,
We are going to be attempting to upgrade several of our Windows Server 2008 Domain Controllers in our satellite offices from Windows Server 2008 Enterprise to Server 2012 Standard.  I know the inplace upgrade will work (tried it on a member server)
but are there any caveats being that they are Domain Controllers?  Contacted Microsoft and they said we shouldn't have any issues upgrading, and there is nothing special that has to be done in preparation.  (I thought for sure we would have to DCPromo
down before and dcpromo up after the upgrade, but not so much, according to MS)  But I figured I would check and see if anyone has done this successfully.  I should mention that we already have 2, Windows Server 2012 Domain Controllers in our environment,
and one of them has the FSMO roles.  Thanks in advance!

It should work with no problems. My favorite options remains always to demote the DC, re-install it completely and then promoting it again: This is just my own way to work as it makes me sure that I start with a clean base with the fresh install.

  • Server 2008 enterprise equalent in Server 2012

If I want to go for a Server 2012 License which has all features that was there in Server 2008 Enterprise, Should I go for(
(1). 2 nos license of standard 2012 Standard or( as Enterprise had 4 VM and Standard 2012 has only 2)
    (2). 1 license server 2012 Data center

Well, in this case, I would recommend 2x Standard licenses because they cost $882 each, and comparing to Datacenter license ($4809), it is better to go for the Standard one.
Are you going to run those 4 VMs on one physical server? How many CPUs it has?
    From the document:
"Determining the number of physical processor licenses:
Each license covers up to two physical processors, so to determine the number of licenses needed to fully license a physical server, simply count the number of physical processors in the server, divide that number
by two and that tells you the number of licenses that will be needed.
            Here are some examples:
    - You have a 2-processor server. 2 physical processors / 2 (number of processors covered by a license) equals 1. You will need one license to cover a 2-processor server.
    - You have a 4-processor server. 4 physical processors / 2 (number of processors covered by a license) equals 2. You will need two licenses to cover a 4-processor server.
    - You have an 8-processor server. 8 physical processors / 2 (number of processors covered by a license) equals 4. You will need four licenses to cover an 8-processor server.

  • Download for SQL Server machine running Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2

I am confused what 11g product to download and how to configure for the above server. I just need for SQL Server 2008 to be able to communicate with some Oracle databases. I don't need to manage the Oracle database, nor do I need to create one. I just need to be able to create linked servers, use SQL Plus, and create some SSIS or DTS packages that will bring Oracle data into the SQL Server. I think I just need the client, but for 11g, I see it is less than 1GB in size. I am afraid I may be missing something because I thought the client downloads were about 2GB, but the 2GB downloads are not called "client". This is a 64bit machine running an Intel Xeon X7460 chip.
Our server has a C:\, D:\, and E:\ drive on it. The data (.mdf) is on drive E:\. The normal environment is on C:\ like usual. I also need to know if I need to set environment variables which I read about, but am not sure how to set them and make them stay, or if the software does that.
As an aside, I tried installing a 10g on there that the DBA downloaded and could never get it to work, although I was successful in getting tnsping to work, but SQLPlusW would close on me when I tried to connect and SQLPlus failed with some error but can't remember what right now. I uninstalled it. I think it may have been the wrong download.
I would appreciate any info at all, even if you don't know about everything said here.
I have a link here where I think I am close, but I still am not sure. Let me know if this is correct and which link to click. If I am wrong, please provide the correct link if you can. Thank you.

    Hi,
To integrate Oracle with SQL server you need the following
Install Oracle 11g Release 2 client software
Install Oracle 11g Release 2 ODAC software
    Restart SQL services
    Configure OraOLEDB.Oracle provider
    Create linked server
Add remote logins for linked server

    Hi klez0011,
Lync Server 2013 supports Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and Standard (64 -bit) database software. You could use it to create Back-End database of a Front-End pool, archiving database,
monitoring database, persistent chat database, and persistent chat compliance database.

  • How to enable high availability on SQL Server 2005 with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise R2

    Dear Folks,
I would like to ask you about this thing. I'm working for IT department for bank in Myanmar. Our bank have up to 96 branches across all of Myanmar including H.O. We are using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with Windows Server 2008 for our banking
information system. My main problem is having to backup and restore the database backup files every time the servers in branches goes down for whatever reasons. I want to deploy this feature of high availability and failover cluster using Windows Server 2008
and SQL Server 2005. Our branches have 2 Servers. One is for Primary and other is for Backup. What I want to do is that, I want to change Backup Server to Primary Server whenever the Primary Server goes down for whatever reasons. All the working data and databases
from Primary will immediately replicated into Backup Server along with all the IP information of Primary Server. Please give me step by step guide for this process.

    Try below
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/cindygross/archive/2009/10/23/checklist-for-installing-sql-server-2005-as-a-clustered-instance.aspx
I will recommend you to upgrade SQL server to newer version for support as well as flexibility.
    Regards,
    Vishal Patel
