Deploy the Java Applet

Hi,
I am trying to do the 1st tutorial in the help topics of JDeveloper. The deployment is also sucessful without any error but when i open the deployed html file in browser it gives the following error:
load:class package2.Applet1.class not found
I tried many times but it didn't work.

It sounds like the deployed class files are not in the classpath for the browser.

Your applet can be deployed in "Local mode". However, each time the user runs the applet, the associated archives will be downloaded from the server. The drawback of this approach is the download time for the applet and archives even on a LAN. Deploying your applet via Visibroker can reduce the number of archives on the client since the BC4J archives will reside in the middle tier. This requires a more complicated deployment model but the end user experience may be better since the download time will be less.

I got the error when I deployed the java EAR application in NWDS 7.1 version..help me out...........................................
com.sap.ide.eclipse.deployer.api.APIException: DeployException,cause=[ERROR CODE DPL.DCAPI.1023] AuthorizationException.
Reason: , An error occurred during the deployer retrieval. Cause =[ERROR CODE DPL.DC.3151] The user LJ4PJW could not be authorized, because doesn't own the (com.sap.engine.interfaces.security.ServiceAccessPermission dc) permission for deploy controller. at com.sap.ide.eclipse.deployer.dc.ComponentManagerImpl.getDeployProcessor(ComponentManagerImpl.java:62)

The user LJ4PJW could not be authorized, *because doesn't own the* (com.sap.engine.interfaces.security.ServiceAccessPermission dc) *permission for deploy controller. a*t com.sap.ide.eclipse.deployer.dc.ComponentManagerImpl.getDeployProcessor(ComponentManagerImpl.java:62)
The user is not have proper authorizations. Use some other administrators user id which has all admin roles and authorizations assigned and try to deploy.

How do I clear all of the java applets that have been downloaded?

I migrated firefox and other applications to my new mac so that I would not to reenter all of my passwords saved by firefox. However, it appears that the java applets were also transfered and one of these applets does not work with the new intel mac. I was able to get the same applet to work in safari, and I was able to delete the applet from safari as well, but was unable to do so in firefox.
So, how do I clear all of the previously downloaded applets, or even better, just the one I want to? Clearing all of the recent history didn't work.

Where can I set the window dimensions for the "Java Applet window"?

Hi,
When I run a form on the web, the Java Applet is loaded and the form appear in the window. But "base window" have gived dimensions indifferent what dimensions has the window of the form which I run.
So, where can I set the dimensions of the "core window" which is behind the MDI window of the application?

in formsweb.cfg you will find parameters "width" and "height". You can set absolute values in pixels or "relative" in percent.
width=800
height=600
or
width=100%
height=100%

How do i get the java applet to stop appearing on the dock?

how do i get the java applet to stop appearing on the dock? it seems to do this for pop-up windows. also, the text on the popup window is different, how can I change that to normal? this all started when i loaded MAC OS X 10.6.8

You could try to block popup windows.
Safari / Preferences / Security
Also, go to Safari / Preferences / Extensions and clean out everything there.

For ESS - Travel ABAP WD do we need to deploy the Java WD code in the EHP

We currently have ESS - Trips and Expenses Java WD version. We are in the process of implementing the ABAP WD for Trips and Expenses.
According to the documentation at

if we turn on the Travel Management (FIN_TRAVEL_1) business function Java WD should stop working. We turned on the business function but our Java WD is still working. The buttons (Create Expense Report, Copy, Change, Delete, Display Form) on the My Trips and Expenses ABAP WD version do not work.
We have not deployed the Java WD code that was in the EHP. Is it required?

I can't install the java applet for google drive

I want to upload complete maps into drive as a backup. But every time I want to install the Java applet a little yellow bar appears in drive wich says: ''The installation of the java applet has failed.''
(I'm using a dutch version, so the quotations are just a free translation to english.)
When I click on the add-on button next to the padlock and click on ''allow to continue'' the page appears to refresh, but then the add-on button just reappears next to the padlock and nothing has changed.
I have enabled java through the padlock and at the permissions tab, but that didn't solve it.

I have the latest versions of java and firefox installed, and I'm running windows 7.

No option to Enable the Java applet plug-in and Web Start applications

How do I Enable the Java applet plug-in and Web Start applications
Their is no option under java preferences General Tab
The options i get their are
     Run appelts
          in their own proccess
          Within the browser process
          (Defaut most compatible)
Under the network tab im told
By default java applets and web start applications use network settings in the system network preferences. Only advanced users should modify these settings
Any ideas on why it is like this?

Unable to start the java applet

Hi there,
I'm having some problems with the java applet unable to display on some of the pc in the workplace. I've tried to uninstall & reinstall the jre but still to no avail.
Scenarios:
Log in as Administrator = OK
Log in as user with Administrator priviledge = NOT OK

Not sure if this is the correct solution but to edit your classpath go to your start button and select settings. then from there select control panel. then select system and when you get the pop up menu select the advanced tab. you should see an environment variables button. when you select environment variables you will get another pop up menu. there should be a listing for classpath. select it and click edit.
start button -> settings -> control panel -> system -> advanced -> classpath
move your cursor to the end of the listing for your classpath and add whatever file or directory you need to add. then click ok. make sure you include the entire path and if you need to add a jar file also include the .jar extension. however, it may be enough that you include the path up to the directory where the jar is located.
once you add to your classpath, you will need to close and restart the application that needs the new classpath.

How do I set it to where the java applets will load up?

Uhm.. So, I've gotten the 6.0 java, at first the java applets were doing fine and loading up with Firefox. I have checked the java console and it is set for fire fox, yet it's still not loading the applets. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Your above posted plugins list show that you have the Java plugin.
Do Java test pages confirm that the Java plugin is working?

Error in deploying the java studio creator application to tomcat

Hi,
I'm trying to deploy my Sun Java Studio application to Apache Tomcat 5.0.28.
A simple JSF web application built using the creator works fine after deploying the war file under tomcat/weapps directory.
In case of a application with databse connection I'm getting the
" com.sun.rave.web.ui.appbase.ApplicationException: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: org.apache.commons.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot create JDBC driver of class '' for connect URL 'null' "
above error. My application connects to Oracle database using the Oracle Server type provided by the Studio Creator.
I have copied
jstl.jar
standard.jar
to webapps\%app%\WEB-INF\lib
The below url is currently not available ( Page not Found )stated as a solution in most of the querries regarding the deplyment to tomcat.

I had similar problems.
I used mysql with tomcat and have mysql in my Creator environment as well but still had the driver message you experienced.
I found that simply copying the WAR file into the webapp directory in tomcat caused a faulty deployment (it was creating /etc/tomcat5/localhost/YourProject.xml as a directory, not as a file)
I updated my Projects/MyProject/build.xml to include a deploy target and I manually execute the ant deploy step (having not figured out how to tweak the internal ant within Creator)
Note that this requires two jar files (see comments in the ant definition)

There is a requirement to create the Java Concurrent Program in Oracle eBusiness. I am able to create the Java Concurrent Program file. But unable to do the following things:
1.Since it is custom file, which location I will deploy the file?
2. How to compile the file?
3. In the execution file path and executable file name what should I specify for JCP?

Deploying a Java applet

Here is a link to an html page that has a very simple JAVA applet to display. It does not work. I uploaded the page and the helloed.class which was created using Xcode java compiler. Other people's JAVA applets work fine, so it is not my web hosting company that is at fault. Any ideas????
