Deployed project different than Edge project on screen

Back again :-)
I've been working today on taking the project I've been working on and changing most of the elements to percentages so the project also works well on a tablet.
I've got most parts "changed over" but now am seeing a different problem.
I'm working on the "main content" of the project; not touching any of the "symbols" that are in it. In fact, I have all the "symbols" that appear in the project "locked down".
Yet, when I upload the project to the web, I'm seeing a problem with the second symbol that plays in the banner (which I'm not touching at all). It looks as if there is an item on the timeline that is "blocking" part of the symbol from playing. You can see it happening here, about 5 seconds into the animation in the banner:

This is not showing on the Edge stage but is showing in the "Edge preview" in the browser (clicking command return on a mac, not the "published" part).
Since what I've been working on is on the "bottom" of the page and I have not touched the "symbols", I'm baffled as to what happened. Playing the "symbol" by itself, all is fine.
I can upload a zip file in a bit if anyone has the time to take a look that would be great but since the file shows fine in Edge, I'm at a loss as to what to do :-)

Have you already exported it and is it there where it messes up? If you are just clicking the button that makes the video full-screen in iMovie, that's your problem. For some reason, many people have movie glitches when they do that, like the video pausing for no reason, loss of sound, and other glitches. Just export it and it will most likely work.

VI Hierarchy different than using Project Find Callers?

Hello. I'm trying to find the callers of a specific VI, but I'm getting two different answers from Labview. When I view the VI heirarchy of the VI in question, it looks like there are no callers; however, when I use the find callers in the project explorer, two VI's appear. Which is real? Any idea why I'm having this issue?

A minor correction is that I don't believe the VI is aware of it's callers in memory. Rather it is LabVIEW IDE itself that would know this information. It would be very impratical to have to store information regarding all the possible callers of a VI within itself.

Print Size different than what is on screen

I use Elements 9 and print to an Epson 7900, when I have an image 12 1/2" x 18" the actual print size is coming out 12 1/4" x18 any suggestions, It's getting really frustrating......

Make sure the print resolution is the same as the image resolution. You can check in the Elements Editor: File à Print
In the print dialog check actual size.

Deploy Edge Project on devices

Hi, I've a question about Edge Reflow. Is it possible to deploy my edge project so that I could test it directly on my different devices ?

You can preview your designs in while you work in Reflow by using our Edge Inspect integration. Just click on the Edge Inspect button on the side of the application:

A totally different project is played when project is played in full screen view and project is not editable

I have problems with my imovie 09. After several days of work with an imovie project I was again about to start editing my project after startup of my mac. I played through the project and everything seemed fine, but when a movie clip was moved infront of a still picture instead of after, the whole project became uneditable and unplayable. When trying to play the project in full screen mode a totally different project is played. Shutting Imovie and/or the mac down does not help. In some cases I have managed to get the red cursor moving along in my project. However, no movie is played in the screen in the right hand corner, -it is totally black, and the audio is again from a totally different project. I am not able to export the project as all the export options are grey. Some of the other projects worked fine and some did not, -and the functionality seemed a bit random from time to time after rebooting/ exiting and reentering imovie. My first guess would be that this is a memory porblem. However, looking at my activity monitor it seems that I'm only using 1.73 GB of system memory of a total of 4....I have tried remove old projects and also quite a bit of clips in my library to minimize memory use. Now it seems that all the rest of the projects are working fine, but my current project is still corrupt. I have tried copying the first clip of my project into a blank project, but it will only play in full screen mode, not in the screen in the right hand corner.
I am working on a mac mini with 2.26 Ghz intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3.
I would be very grateful if anyone out there could help me out...Is my project totally corrupt beyond the point of no repair? Why has this happened, and how is it possible that something like this can happen without any kind of warning?

Thanks for your reply AppleMan1958. Unforunately the playback problem was only experienced in the project described, - all other projects played fine....and I tried a lot of different ways to do it...so I really believe the whole project, including the playback (which did not work in the editing window in the right hand corner either, -nothing was shown there and the red marker line would not move across the project) just suddenly become totally corrupt...However, after deleting the project as described above and installing imovie11 I have done the whole thing over again and completed the project without problems this time.
But thanks for the tip anyway!

App-V 5.0 SP2 (Office Deployment Toolkit) - Unable to create Project and Visio with different package ID

We would like to create 2 App-V packages with the
Office Deployment Tool
- Visio Std 2013
- Project Std 2013.
The App-V packages are created successfully, the problem is that the package-id of both packages is the same.
When we deploy for example, Visio to a client and afterwards Project, Visio gets replaced in App-V by Project.
Is anyone else facing this issue ?

using the Office Deployment Toolkit BUT - the following still applies:
Only one Office package can be deployed to a machine at a time.
Only VL and Subscription Pro options are available for packaging via App-V.

Steve is there any chance this stance may change, or is there any feedback we can give (we have already followed up with our TAM and have also put in tickets but effectively have not gone anywhere other then to explain what the model of support is)?
To be perfectly honest its a very hard model to support since users are licenses for Visio and Project separately, not to mention the lack of user publishing (targeting) and Office Standard support.
We have put in advisory and problem tickets with MS for months in hopes of using the ODT packages in our non persistent VDI environment but I don't believe it will possible.
In short if we have to separate our images or pools to support the various possibilities we are losing what App-V gains us: on demand (per user) publishing to limit the number of gold images we need.
The loss of Office Standard support also leaves us in a tricky spot, because at the end of the day we have to find a way to support those users.
Not looking to put you on the spot, just hoping there is a way to give effective feedback or discuss how to use the ODT packages in a way that makes life easier, not more restrictive.

SQL SERVER 2014 - Project consistency check failed. The following inconsistencies were detected: package.dtsx. has a different ProtectionLevel than the project.

I am getting the following error when I right click on a package in solution explorer and execute using SQL Server 2014:

Luckily my solution only has 10 packages. I have verified and re-verified that everyone is set to dontsavesensitive.

What on earth is going on here? I am using windows authentication and have no need for the package to save any sensitive information, nor should there be any.
Can someone please help me out here?

Just as the error message said, the exactly issue is that the package package.dtsx has a different ProtectionLevel property value than the project.
So please double check the value of project ProtectionLevel property, like DontSaveSensitive, then make sure all packages in the project use the same ProtectionLevel value.
If there is still an error message indicated that some packages use a different value, please right-click the indicated package to select View Code, then make sure there is a line like below(the DontSaveSensitive
protection level corresponds to the value of 0):
DTS:ProtectionLevel="0"

As mentionned before, I suggest you to open the period, recall the timesheet, update actuals and submit
it, approve it by the project manager, open the plan and publish it.
The steps can be performed using a delegation session if you don't want to bother the team member and the
project manager.

How can I order more than one project to save on delivery costs?

Is it possible to order more than one project (book) in iPhoto at the same time to save on delivery costs? I have several to order and I dont want to get hit for £5.99 three time if possible. I cant see how to do it or even if this is possible. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Defining cmp-relation to EB contained in different ejb module project

Hello,
I have to migrate an existing J2EE Application to SAP NetWeaver and WebAS. My task is to keep the structure as similar as possible to increase the recognition factor although using Developer Studio as IDE.
In this application there are cmp relations defined that reference EntityBeans from other sub projects (that I tried to create in different ejb module projects).
References in the same ejb module project seem to work fine but I cannot select referenced EntityBeans of other projects as relation target.
Another remark:
In the given application the ejb-jar.xml-file of the referencing component contains entries of the referenced one. The Developer Studio allows to Add EJBs to ejb-jar.xml, even referenced Beans. But when I select to add referenced EJBs only the Beans of the current project can be chosen. (I did not forget to enter an ejb-local-ref from the referencing to the referenced Bean in ejb-jar.xml as well)
Can anyone give me a hint on how to solve this task? Or where I have forgotten to add a reference?

Hello everybody else!
I'm currently writing the corresponding masterthesis to my project. That's why I have to deal with this "problem" again.
I tried to look up the part of the spec Viliana's hint ("When you create and use cmp-relationships your beans must be included in one and the same JAR file (that's according to the EJB specification)") bases on.
But the only thing I found addressing this issue tells something else:
"[...]Container-managed relationships can exist only among entity beans within the same local relationship
scope,[...]" (EJBSpec2.1, section 10.3.2)
In my opinion this does not necessarily mean that they have to be in the same JAR but in the same EAR file...
This would mean, that the chosen cmp-relationships strategy with ejb-module-projects is too restrictive.
Can anyone help me with this... Does anyone know further hints on how Entity Beans have to be deployed when belonging to cmp-relationships?

How to publish edge projects to the web?

I've never published edge projects to the web before.
Sorted the web settings out to what I need but wondering but do I need to upload the whole edge project file (with the edge project, edge includes etc) or just the publish folder?

The contents of the publish folder is all what is needed to deploy.
PS: the publish folder might have two directories, 'Web' and '.oam', depending on your publish settings. For publishing projects to Web, You only need (all the) contents of the 'Web' directory. If you have uncheked the CDN option in publish settings, then edge_includes directory will be available in Published content.

Flow of an Edge project

Hello all-
I was going to add this t the end of my last post but though it would be better to start a new discussion since it is a different subject :-)
Here goes:
Is it possible to add a symbol inside a symbol and if so is it a good idea to do so?
I'm building a simple web site using Edge. Would this be a good "flow" for a site:
Right now, the first page is a project.
I have a banner, which is a symbol.
I could have another symbol added as well, haven't decided yet.
Later on, I was thinking of making each page a symbol and making the site be the "project".
Is there any advantage or disadvantage to using symbols in building a "hierarchy"?
IE:
website - project
web page - symbol
banners, jQuery, sections, etc... - symbols within symbols ( jQuery(symbol) within banner(symbol) within web page(symbol) within website (project) - this also makes it easy to reuse symboles elsewhere)!

Now this is going to be a lame question but I seem to be having a brain freeze-
I have my "page" (.html) with everything on it.
At the top of the page, I'm creating a banner(banner1). This "banner" is a symbol within the project page.
I want to break it into three separate symbols(banner1, banner2 & banner3), all to run consecutively on the .html page inside the Edge project..
My thinking was that "If I could break this into three parts, it would make my life that much easier - plus I can then use 2 of those parts on other pages yet to be created!"
So, I first tried to "copy" the second part (already completed as part of banner1) onto a new page but it didn't copy very well at all, leaving parts in the timeline all over the place.
What is the best way to crete a new symbol out of a piece of symbol "banner1" already written?
Then I thought I'd just start on the third part for now but don't know how(or remember) to start. Within the symbol "banner1", I went to the end of my timeline and drew a black rectangle that encompassed the symbol's "stage" which is black (I can't create a symbol from the stage), thus creating a symbol. Is this a good way to do it, or should I just add my first item at the end of the symbol "banner1's" timeline and create a symbol out of that? I don't know why I thought about creating the black background - my mind works that way at times :-)

How to have more than one project open at a time

I can't seem to find a way to have more than one project window open at a time.
This would be sweet. Currently chopping down a 60 minute rehearsal record into separate tracks. Kind of a pain.
