Deploying application with EAR file: problems....

Hello!
We been working in a test environment for developing our application. When its done and ready to go in production, we did generate the deployed application archive (EAR) with the console. Then, we used the
java -jar admin.jar -deploy command to deploy in the prod. env.
Meanwhile, we always get this kind of error, as it seems that oc4j is not generating EJB wrapper correctly:
GestionApplicationSBHome_StatelessSessionHomeWrapper120 was not an instance of interface sertir.portail.gap.GestionApplicationSBHome, the interface it implements is sertir.portail.gap.GestionApplicationSBHome
at java.lang.Throwable.fillInStackTrace(Native Method)
AND
java.lang.ClassCastException: ApplicationEBHome_EntityHomeWrapper14 was not an instance of interface sertir.portail.gap.ApplicationEBHome, the interfaces it implements are sertir.portail.gap.ApplicationEBHome, com.evermind[Oracle9iAS (1.0.2.2) Containers for J2EE].util.ExternalComparator, com.evermind[Oracle9iAS (1.0.2.2) Containers for J2EE].server.ejb.EntityContainer
and other errors doing that with almost all EJBs.
My question is, is there a special switch in the deploy command to force the compilation of the EAR file?
Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks!

I think adf-faces-impl.jar is doesn't require for my application because we have migrated our application from ADF Faces to Trinidad.

  • Exception while deploying application(as EAR file) on Standalone WLS 10.3

    Hi,
I'm struggling with an exception while deploying my application(as EAR file) on a standalone WebLogic Server 10.3. I have developed a application using Trinidad and JSF components. But an exception occurs while deploying my application(as EAR file) in WebLogic Server 10.3. As I'm not familiar with WEBLOGIC server I'm unable to analyse the exception.

  • Deploying application with class files compiled using ojspc

    Hi,
I want to deploy the application having class files compiled using ojspc in Oracle9iAS Release 2 rather than having JSP pages.
    Thanks,
    Pritam

    Hi Manoj,
I have tried doing something like this.
If you want to try this out running on a NW2004s.You need to first download the entire project from perforce branch (
tc\webdynpro\clientserver)for NWDS 7.0 and then build the project locally in your java perspective.
During the local build of the project. It will also point out the dependent projects required by this project(clientserevr).
    Once the project is build.
Create seperate external jars of the clientserver project and its dependent projects and save them locally.
Open your SDM manager, pick up this jar file from there and deploy it.
Once the deployment is over, the server is ready to run the application you created.
But this make your NWDS2004s to behave jus like NWDS7.0 .
Just a small suggestion ,instead of going through this tedious process you can shift to NWDS7.0 itself.
    regards

The only odd thing I can see is that UNDEFINED statment in the log.
I followed the recipe for Deployment from the tutorial so I don't understand why the JSPs are missing.

I have two version's of JDeveloper running on my machine when you pointed out to me that I was using 10.1.3.0 I downloaded 10.1.3.5 and used it instead. However we still have a problem. One our test and production machine we are running Oracle AS 10.1.2 with Java SDK 1.4. Now the documantation says that this supports JSP runtime 2.0 and Servlet Runtime 2.4. My problem is I still have to get this working for Oracle AS 10.1.2 with Java SDK 1.4. Here's what happens when I deployed to that environment.

  • Deploying war OR ear file in 10.1.3 standalone OC4J

I've read the several threads on how to deploy a war file and/or ear file for OC4J but haven't seen anyone having the same issue I'm having.
I've tried deploying manually, from the command line using admin.jar, as well as the enterprise manager. It appears that when OC4J is looking for a jar file containing EJB's. But my app has none and there is no jar file that it finds.
Here is what the console reports when I try to deploy using admin.jar ->
    http://www.gordongridley.us/2007/02/oc4j-console-when-trying-to-deploy.html
OK - so I try to deploy using the Enterprise Manager instead to see if the UI has some options that I can change for not forcing an EJB jar file lookup. Here is a video of what I did ->
    http://www.gordongridley.us/2007/02/attempting-to-deploy-war-using-oc4j.html
Do I really need to have a jar file with EJB's to deploy a WAR/EAR file?

    Hi Gordon,
The source of your ills is this entry in the application.xml descriptor:
    <module>
    <ejb>TomaxCMAdmin.jar</ejb>
    </module>
Remove that, and you should be good to go (assuming you aren't referencing any other non-existent JARs).

  • IO Error while deploying application client jar file ???????

    Hi,

Please let me know Why i am getting 'IO Error' , where i may done wrong ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Srinivas

    Srinivas,
Before we continue, PLEASE tell me if you've looked through the available
documentation, code samples, "how-to" documents, etc., for OC4J. It
seems to me that you're mixing things up a bit. I use the "deploy"
command to deploy my EARs, example (partial):
    java -jar admin.jar ormi://<host> admin <password> -deploy ...
And my EAR file is not in the "application-deployments" directory
    when I issue that command.
Perhaps you could also show me the contents of your "application.xml"
file for this application you are having trouble with.
But I repeat, please tell me if you have already looked at the
    available documents regarding OC4J!
    Thanks,
    Avi.

The context classloader needs to be set so that the thread can load the
Weblogic context factory class inside the finalizer thread.
Simply save the context classloader when running inside the ejb code and set
that inside finalize method so that the class can get loaded correctly.
              1) keep a member variable
              ClassLoader myccl;
              2) Instantiate it in the regular application thread as
              myccl = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader();
              3) In the finalize() method keep this as the first line.
              Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(myccl);

  • How to use MDS deploying with EAR file

    Hi everybody.
I would to use MDS in my web application in order to use customization across the sessions. I've performed every step to do this on JDeveloper (11.1.1.3.1). I've tested my application deploying directly from JDeveloper using Application menu > Deploy > "myApp" to "myApplicationServer" (in this way I can choose the repository with a window like this: http://i.stack.imgur.com/Kci9c.png). The repository was prevoiusly registered on the server. In this way my application works fine and they all lived happily ever after.
My problem occurs when I perform the deployment with "myApp to EAR" mode. When I try to install my EAR file in weblogic, it reply me with this error message:
An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
+:oracle.mds.config.MDSConfigurationException:MDS-01335: namespace "/xliffBundles" mapped to metadata-store-usage "MAR_TargetRepos" but its definition was not found in MDS configuration.+
I've looked for a solution around the web (included this forum) and I think that I should modify something in adf-config.xml file (below).
Which steps I have to perform in order to install my application correctly with an EAR file?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Problem while deploying a WLW ear file on a WL81 production server

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy a simple simple WEB service -which works fine within the
workshop 8.1 environment- on a different "production" server.
I generated manually all the JMS queues on the target database, as well as the
pointbase additional tables as specified in the documentation (based on the <wlw-manifest.xml>
file included in the ear file) .
The deployment ends with following error:
    "weblogic.servlet.WlwJSPServlet" (see below).
    Who could help ?

  • Deploying large JAR/EAR files

    i'm using WLS6.1.
i'm having problem deploying a very large EAR file. when i upload the
file through the Admin Console, it keeps timing out. when i use the
command line tool, it crashes with OutOfMemoryException. i don't want
to break the file into smaller ones because they are all related and
i want to make production deployment simple with a single file.
anyone else with this problem? is there a way to deploy "manually"
    without using the tools?
    thanks,
    yan

Try pre-EJBC-ing it and pre-compiling your JSPs etc. It is not unusual for
EJBC to take 30 minutes on a high-end server for a large application.
Also, try using JIKES instead of javac.

    Hi,
sincerly now I don't remember what was the problem, but it seems to me the solution was in one of these four settings:
    1) check Admin Server when I create the JDBC connection.
    2) before deploying the application to an EAR file, you don't forget to uncheck Auto-generate and synchronize weblogic-jdbc.xml Descriptors during deployment in Application properties --> deployment
    3) in your application module --> configuration change the connection type from jdbc URL to JDBC DataSource
    4) at the end of your URL of the deployed application don't insert the ".jspx" after your page name
    Hope this helps

  • Deploying Applications with SCCM 2012 R2 to Server 2008 R2 RDS servers

I'm having some trouble finding some concrete information from Microsoft regarding the deployment of applications to RDS servers using SCCM 2012 R2. There seems to be a lot of conjecture, old information and old wives tales floating around and I was hoping
I could get some information confirmed!
    1. MSI installs automatically switch to install mode on RDS servers?
I've seen this mentioned a few times. I've also seen it mentioned that it is only true when running the MSI from the console session manually (i.e clicking the MSI file) not running as SYSTEM as SCCM would usually do. Can someone confirm if they do this
    themselves or not?
    2. Users still logged in when deploying applications?
Is it possible to deploy an application while users are still logged in? Is this only related to going into 'install' mode and taking the chance that a user will do something that will cause issues? Or is it known to cause issues?
I guess those are the main ones, I'm experienced in SCCM but not with deploying to RDS servers, I cant seem to find any straight answers!
    Anyway, thanks in advance!

I've never had large enough RDS environment to use SCCM for app push, but from my experience in managing 2012/R2 RDS and local installs, I never bother with switching to install mode anymore and it works fine.  Now if you're skeptical, you can
easily build this into a script that runs as a pre-req to your .MSI as part of the software package in SCCM so it's not a big deal.
As for installing apps while users are logged in, shouldn't be a problem if you're installing a new app., if however you're updating an existing application or uninstalling it, then it may be best to drain that RDS host first of all user sessions then do
the work just to be safe.  this also helps avoid reboots.

  • Deploying web service ear file

    Hi,
I've developed a simple web service using NetWeaver Developer studio 2.0.5 and created an .ear file for deployment to SAP WAS 6.2.  While trying to load ear file from the deploy tool it throws an error - "Unable to load ear file".  Has anyone seen this error before?  Any problems with the NetWeaver and SAP WAS versions? Any suggestions on how to deploy a web service on SAP J2EE 6.2?

    Hi Dipesh,
well, if you are using J2EE Engine 6.20 you cannot deploy directly from the NetWeaver Developer Studio (as far as I know, this feature is available only after 6.30/6.40 versions).
Also, web services are only partially implemented on J2EE Engine 6.20! So it is possible that the web service you've developed with the Developer studio depends on features that are not available on J2EE Engine 6.20. My recommendation is to give a try to the J2EE Engine 6.40, if possible for you at all.
Finally, there is an alternative to Deploy Tool for deployment on the J2EE Engine 6.20. This is the DEPLOY shell command that you can execute in the server console. For more info about that, refer to the Shell Commands Reference section in the Administration Manual for J2EE Engine 6.20 located here: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/documents/a1-8-4/administration manual for sap j2ee engine 6.20.pdf
    Hope that helps!

  • Error while deploying application with WebLogic server

    Hi,
I use Jdeveloper 11g and created and ADF application which i want to deploy with WebLogic Server. But i have an error which is :
"There was a failure when processing annotations for application C:\...\xxx.war. Please make sure that the annotations are valid. The error is oracle.adf.library.webapp.ResourceServlet "
    Plz help me.
    Thx

I am receiving same message for simple servlet. Running JDev11g build 5166 and embedded WLS 10.3. Servlet used to deploy to embedded WLS and ran fine. Recently running newly created servlets produces error message as in this thread.
Investigation turned up the fact that the class file for the servlet was not deployed to the context-root (o.j2ee\drs) on the server. Copying the class file from the mywork project folder to the context-root folder (o.j2ee\drs) permitted the servlet to run.
Don't know if this is the cause of what you are experiencing but it may assist in your investigation! I have not figured out why the class file for servlets does not deploy to server despite the fact that the log file shows war and ear files were deployed. As it turns out, the war file does not have the class file in it so something is wrong before the war file is created.
    Cheers!
