Deploying JSC 2 project in jboss-4.0.3SP1
Hi, could someone please help me, I'm using the latest version of JSC and trying to deploy it in jboss - I get an error when I try to access the page. I've been using JSC EA and managed to successfully deploy and use projects created from it. I have addedd jstl.jar and standard.jar to the jboss sar directory already. The project is just a JSF Web Application with nothing on the page.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Here is the error message:

Deploying JSC projects in Tomcat
If we deploy JSC projects in Tomcat we have to access the server.xml and tomcat-install-directory/shared/lib. Many web hosting providers do not allow access to these. This makes JSC project deployment in Tomcat very challenging.
Are there sny alternative ways to deploy JSC projects without accessing Tomcat locations (server.xml and shared/lib folder) except the webapps folder. For example, can I put the jstl.jar and standard.jar someware inside my JSC project? Can I do some changes in my web.xml instead of modifying server.xml?
Any advice is very much appreciated.
Thank you very much.You can get around the server.xml changes. You will have to create a context.xml
look at
<br>
http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/jndi-datasource-examples-howto.html
http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.0-doc/deployer-howto.html#Context%20descriptors
<br>
for instance. I believe that context.xml has to go into <webapp>/META-INF directory. But I did not find a reference right now.
The only question I have, would be if Tomcat would share DataSources from different webapps when they are configured in the context.xml, instead of the global context.
I hope that helps a bit.
Thanks,

Strange error when running ADFBC on Jboss 4.0.3SP1
jdeveloper : 10.1.3.3.0.4157
jboss : 4.0.3SP1
database: Oracle10g
I have developed a simple JSP page which talks to a table in the database using ADFBC, while I was developing I was using the OC4J server that comes with JDeveloper it runs fine, I deployed it to an Oracle Application Server, again it worked fine. Then my boss wants this deployed to a Jboss server and this is where it all went wrong.
At first I had problems deploying to the server but then I realised that I need the ADF installer, so after I installed that it deployed fine. But when I try to goto the page it comes up with the following error
JBO-30003: The application pool (com.delexian.notification.HRPublicServiceLocal) failed to checkout an application module due to the following exception:
oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.JboException, msg=JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.CustomClassNotFoundException, msg=JBO-26022: Could not find and load the custom class com.delexian.notification.HRPublicServiceImpl
Heres what I've done to try and resolve this problem
- setup the oracle-ds.xml, standardjaws.xml and login-config.xml file according to this url http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2004/02/25/jbossjdbc.html#oracle
- checked that the class file is actually in the ear file that I've deployed.
- double checked that I'm not deploying java files
- double checked that the probject works on other app servers (OC4J and Oracle App Server)
- setup the oracle-ds.xml jndi configuration according to bc4j.xcfg file
I have been searching the forums and the only relevant thing I can find is someone said to goto a $JAVA_TOP/blah/blah directory and see if the files are in the folder. The problem with mine is that I am running on Windows and I don't have a $JAVA_TOP directory, could this be part of the problem ? The other reflex answer I've seen to problems like this is just "check your not deploying java files". Which is why I've double checked I'm deploying class files
I have noticed that the class that it reckons it cannot find are in the Web-Inf folder, is this correct ?
Here is my file layout in the war file (embedded in an EAR file), there is obviously other stuff in the WAR file, but I've posted what I think is most relevant, if you would like to know the location of other files please let me know.
staff
----browsePersons.jspx
WEB-INF
----classes
--------com
------------delexian
----------------notification
--------------------HRPublicServiceImpl.class
should the com.delexian.notification.HRPublicServiceImpl.class be under a different folder ?
I am just using a default deployment script, which was generated in JDev by right clicking on my view-controller project and selecting New -> Deployment Profiles -> WAR File.
Is there anything in here I need to modify to get it running on a Jboss server ?
Thanks
DuncanThanks for the reply, yes unfortunately it is in the classpath. Although I have a feeling it will be something simple like this when I work it out in the end...

After adding require packages also i am getting the same error.
Well, if it's not a version problem with either the JDK (installing java 6 on top of a java 5 distribution) or the Jars (like JAXB) , then , as pointed out, you might have written your Web service using a packageless class:
java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1

at org.jboss.wsf.common.JavaUtils.getPackageName(JavaUtils.java:533)Restart a new project in your IDE with a packaged ws from the start, and see if it works. -

Unable to deploy BPM projects with human tasks from BPC
I’m trying to edit and deploy a BPM process from Business Process Composer (web based tool). To do it, I followed the steps below:
1. I created I project in JDeveloper
2. I created the Human task from using the “Auto-generate task form” option
3. I converted it to a template
4. I published it to BPM MDS
5. On Business Process Composer I created I new project based on my published template
6. And I finally I deployed it with no errors.
When I ran the BPM it creates I human task but I’m not able to access its form on Business Process Workspace.
On Business Process Workspace I can see the task created by my BPM process, but when I click on it to access its form I get a 404 message (message below).
Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
I think this error occur because my Task form project was not deployed. To fix it I undeployed all the applications and then I deployed the BPM application with all its tasks forms from JDeveloper. It worked fine (I can actually access the task form on Business Process Workspace), but now I’m not able to edit the BPM process on Business Process Composer anymore.
Then I finally repeated the steps 3 to 6 on top of this post in order to make the BMP process editable on Business Process Workspace but this time I receive the error at the end of this post taken from server log.
No matters if I publish the project on MDS BMP repository as a template project or as non template project. I always have the same problem.
So, how can I use a BPM project that contains Human Tasks forms on Business Process Composer?
I’m using:

• Oracle Soa Suite 11.1.1.5

Firstly, you shouldn't deploy QuoteProcessLab with other UILabs like ApproveDealUILab and so on. So, if you already did it, then go to Weblogic EM and undeploy it.
Secondly, you should deploy each of UILab separately as standalone application. So, deploy EnterQuiteUILab, BUsinessPracticesUILab, and so on each. These will run independently behind and when your project created based on template in the Composer runs, it will link each of these on human task.
Thirdly, publish you QuoteProcessLab. And follow the book about how to create a project based on template in the Composer.
Just one thing you should be careful with is, when you do auto-generation for human task, it sometimes doesn't work fully, unfinished halfway through. So, make sure that the icon 'go to existing business form taskflow' in .task file takes you to the human taskflow.
If it fails, do another auto-generation. Sometimes DataBindings.cpx can get corrupted by JDev, but let's not go too far for now.
Mostly, it will work.

It looks like the mapping is either wrong or some conflicts between pub and target database. What is the id-column-name for this item? Can you also turn on the debugs for that repository while deploying and get the insert statement that is throwing the error? It would be helpful if you can also share the item definition. -

Can someone give some pointers ?
Edited by: 853032 on Apr 18, 2011 11:22 PMIf you can, the best way would be to to change the column name from SUBTYPE to something that isn't a SQL reserved key word.
You might get around this particular problem by adding @Column(name = "\"SUBTYPE\"") on your attribute. This will force eclipselink to add quotation marks in the generated SLQ, but I think it will cause problems when it comes to some more complicated queries.
In my opinion, the only safe way here is to not use column names that are in conflict with SLQ reserved key words.

Internal Server Error while deploying a project to a remote BPEL instance.
Some background. We were trying to use the adapters going out through iWay to hit a Siebel instance. Originally, we were using a BPEL VM for development, and trying to hit adapters on the iWay box. We found out that we needed to have BPEL and adapters installed in the OC4J container; so we rebuilt our iWay box.
So, now the iWay box has Oracle DB, Oracle App Server, BPEL, and adapters in the same OC4J container.
When you do an appserver install of BPEL, it doesn't install JDev; so we are doing development on our BPEL VM; or on a standalone version on the laptop (both give the same error.)
I can deploy the project locally to my laptop or the locally to the SOA(BPEL) VM, but when I try to deploy from either JDev to the BPEL server on iWay, we get:
Beginning Deployment Process...
Compiling C:\OraBPELPM_1\integration\jdev\jdev\mywork\AJ_Siebel\OracleCDHToSiebelAsyncCustomer\OracleCDHToSiebelAsyncCustomer.bpel

Deploying to http://148.87.129.102:80 domain: default. Please wait....
[1:55:15 PM] Deployment failed.
Description of problem: Server error.Internal Server Error
Suggested solution: Please report this error to the adminsitrator.
I can hit the BPEL console on the http://148.87.129.102:80/BPELConsole link, so I know that's correct... (as well as the "Test Connection" works fine to that box.)
Anyone seen this before? Ideas?Got it..
I was using Fuego.Sql.DynamicSQL.close(Iterator)
For a an executeUpdate query which returns an int.
But I used it in a method and did not use that method inside my process or screenflow.
But it did not give me any error/exception while compiling it in Studio.
It gave me an exception while publishing in Enterprise.
This is strange.
It should have given me an error/exception while compiling itself rather than while publishing in Enterprise. -
OSB Error in deploying a project with jca file adapter
Hi,
I am facing an issue where I am getting an error when deploying a service from Eclipse. I am using OSB/SOA 11.1.1.5 2 node cluster. I have an OSB service where I am writing to a file and am using file adapater. I created a composite with file adapter to write a file then imported .jac, .wsdl and composite into eclipse and generated a business service out of .jca file. When I deploy the project from eclipse I am getting the below error and am not able to deploy the project.
Conflicts found during publish.
Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec
Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec
I have FileAdapter deployed and pointed to OSB manage servers cluster. Here is a snippet of config.xml.
<app-deployment>
<name>FileAdapter</name>
<target>SOA_Cluster,OSB_Cluster</target>
<module-type>rar</module-type>
<source-path>/app/oracle/fmw/Oracle_SOA1/soa/connectors/FileAdapter.rar</source-path>
<deployment-order>321</deployment-order>
<plan-dir xsi:nil="true"></plan-dir>
<plan-path>/app/oracle/shared/SOA_Cluster/dp/FileAdapterPlan.xml</plan-path>
<security-dd-model>DDOnly</security-dd-model>
<staging-mode>nostage</staging-mode>
</app-deployment>
Also inside console -> deployments -> FileAdapter -> Targets and OSB_Cluster is checked also.
Here is the .jca file
<adapter-config name="writeFile" adapter="File Adapter" wsdlLocation="writeFile.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
<connection-factory location="eis/HAFileAdapter"/>
<endpoint-interaction portType="Write_ptt" operation="Write">
<interaction-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec">
<property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="C:\ORACLE"/>
<property name="Append" value="false"/>
<property name="FileNamingConvention" value="a_%SEQ%.doc"/>
<property name="NumberMessages" value="1"/>
</interaction-spec>
</endpoint-interaction>
</adapter-config>
Any idea what might be wrong.
Thanks.I already have the fileAdapter JNDI is already configured in console. The error I am getting is during the deployment
Conflicts found during publish.
Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec

I believe I have set-up J2EE parameters correctly in Netweaver Studio, as well as in the SLD.
Anyone have any idea's?
Also (the big also), in the Visual Administrator, I am unable to configure the SLD Data Supplier-Standard User Group to role assignment. I get "Pole Assignment Failed". However; I am able to successfully test the CIM Client Test.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CanadaSince you downloaded the whole application, I guess we can dismiss the second error about a naming problem as being caused by the initial error concerning the authorization issue. Did you change any passwords since install? I remember that Benny had commented in this forum that it was possible to get into a situation where the deployment password was out of synch. I don't recall if there was a clear way to fix it. But you might consider poking around with the steps in this link: /people/benny.schaich-lebek/blog/2004/04/13/how-to-unlock-your-java-admin maybe something will fall-out.

maniCan you check these things :
1) is this issue with only this project ? Try deploying some other project
2) try deploying this project using ant (change values in build.properties and right click on project -> run ant or something like that, use default deploy target)
3) try undeploying project from server and then redeploying it again
also, why is it connecting to port 80? normally it is 8888 or 7777 right?
regards,
Ketan
