Deploying JSC2 code into Eclipse/Tomcat ???
Hi,
Here's the situation. My partner is using JSC(java studio creator) for the project, and on my side, I am using Eclipse.
I need to merge the files (JSP/JAVA) created with JSC into my eclipse Project. However, I am not familiar with the structure of JSC and their files, so I tried merging the files into my project and it doesn't work.
For instance, some imports such as:

needed the jar, which I think are one of those : jsfcl.jar / jstl.jar / standard.jar.
But I still get some errors regarding AbstractPageBean; which I have no clue what it means...
So how can I take the code created on JSC2 and add it to Eclipse? or what part of code (and which files) could I extract to merge it to my Eclipse project (which is a simple Java/Jsp project using Tomcat).
Any ideas ????

We are to migrate a small JSF web application created in the JSC 2..update 1 to the WSAD. We may want to add some more GUI from Java Studio Creator to the web application.
Here are some queries.
1. Which type of project should be created in Eclipse\WSAD...in order to migrate the JSC JSF application to the WSAD? and.. exact steps to follow...
2. I don't want to use the JSF facility provided by WSAD...but I'll like to use the JSC2 for adding the GUI JSF pages to the application.
3. there are issues with the deployment descriptors while deploying..how to handle these issues?
Is this migration possible..if yes how..?

Errors in WSDL when imported into Eclipse or NetBeans IDE
I have tried to import the AXL WSDL into both NetBeans 5.5 and Eclipse 3.2 IDE and got errors. In this forum I found that this problem has been reported to Cisco many times. Do we have a work around? I tried it on CCM 4.0(1). Has it been fixed in later releases on CCM? I wonder if we need to upgrade out CCM just for this?
umm.. am I blind? I thought I had just posted here.
Anyway.. with CCM 5.1.1 you get a WSDL that you can import with AXIS 1.4 and wsdl.exe. With earlier versions, you're off to some manual hacking on your own.
I didn't write the webserver plugin for AXL, but I suspect the reason for this whole mess is the following: instead of using a webservice toolkit, Cisco simply wrote their own (ISAP for CCM 4.x) plugin that goes through requests line by line and analyzes them.. everything done manually. It doesn't even validate XML and in CCM 5.0.4 you can send invalid XML data (including corrupt AXL requests) to the CCM and it will be processed (in many cases you even get information back.. e.g. you can mix getphone and getline and you get a valid getphone response)) and it will get you a valid response (other than "incorrect xml"). This would also explain why the order of the xml elements is crucial.. if they had a regular webservice framework, the order would not matter as elements would be extracted from a request via dom/xquery lookups (that's how my own axl framework does it.. both require xml validation so any invalid xml axl would return would immediately trigger an error.. on the other hand, switched element order doesn't matter to my framework).
With that in mind, it's clear that every WSDL file is hand written and unless they start from scratch with a webservice capable framework (I suspect it's written in C(++) so it's not as simply as copying and pasting code into java files and have the whole thing run as a tomcat app and use JAX to export the WSDL file), AXL will continue to be a mess. -

I am trying same to import my appbuilder project into eclipse. I have created cordova project and then published to project directory from appbuilder. Then I opened the eclipse IDE and followed the steps File>New>Project>Android>Android Project from Existing Code> browse project directory. but it looks eclipse cannot recognise the project! I can see all the files I have project.jason and a www directory but there is no .project or project.properties! am I misisimg anything in appbuilder or ineclipse?

How to deploy HTML5 application into Netweaver GateWay system?

It is running fine in our local server(tomcat).
Now my question is how to deploy it to Netweaver gateway server.

Yes, you import the changes on the "Test" tab of the transport studio of the CMS webui. This will deploy the changes to Test (to the system you have specified in the runtime system configuration for this track)
and what is the benefit of Dev system and Con system

Dreamweaver cs4 or mx2004 may built .war or .jar files for deployment in a jsp server (Tomcat) ? If no, and use Dreamweaver how do these files ?
if I use Eclipse IDE for compilation[make *.war & *.jar files from *.java like claimBeans.java], I must use also Eclipse for upload/deploy ? Or for upload ONLY I may use and dreamweaver ? The jsp section of dreamweaver, is for app not require compilation, like from Code from:JSP STANDARD TAG LIBRARY , only ?
Basically whatever I may do with "JavaBeans", "Servlets" etc (*.java files) needed to get compiled, I may also do it with JSP STANDARD TAG LIBRARY etc NOT NEEDED Compilation, so if I do not understand how to compile&deploy *.war & *.jar files , I may use instead the latter way ? -

Import Projects box-> Select root directory-> browse to path
In Projects Box : Project appears with check in checkbox -> click Finish

My solution was to uninstall the commandline tools built against Apache 2.2 and reinstall those that are built against version 2.0

Error while deploying WDJ code
Hi All,
I am getting the following error while deploying WDJ code in NWDS .
1 . The project was not built due to classpath errors (incomplete or involved in cycle).
2 . Missing required library: 'com.sap.security.api.jar'.
I have put the jar file into the project path but still then i am getting these errors . Please help .

If u are using simple project then then adding jar into application property would do but if using DC then u must follow below procedure.
You cant just add any external jar file into a DC project.
There is only one way to add a external jar file is by using external library project.
1.create an external library project type DC.
2. put your external jar file into its lib folder.
3. create its public part of type SDA( Assembly if using CE)...and API( Compilation if using CE).
4. just use SDA public part into your webdynpro project as used DC.
5. and when you deploy your webdynpro project on server, this file will also get deployed... remember to use SDA public part..

Unable to deploy a module into XI Server

I developed a new module within the J2ee Development Studio. Compiling and building is ok. The ear-File is build... everything is fine... execpt the following.
I connected the Development Studio to our XI Server. The connection is stable and working.

I already copied the needed jar Files in the lib path of the server... I tried out nearly everything. On my workstation everything is OK - I guess, that a library is missing... What can I do, so that the XI is recocnising the jar files? Is there an other reason for that failure?

Fluid grid for Wordpress: insert PHP code into DW or DW code into Wordpress?
This may be a stupid question but it's a dilemma for me. Here's the problem. I want to create a mobile first, fluid grid Wordpress website in Dreamweaver CS6 based on an existing Wordpress theme. I can see two ways of doing that:
1) Create a fluid grid layout in DW, then insert the Wordpress PHP code into the right places in DW
Pro: the fluid grid layout is set up by DW and therefore can be easily edited with DW (I imagine)
Con: It is beyond my coding skills to make a fully functional WP template
2) Take an existing responsive Wordpress template with media queries and edit that in Dreamweaver
Pro: I start with a fully functional WP template and only have to make changes (mostly in CSS) to customise it
Con: When I start with an existing template (like Skeleton) I run into trouble using DW
For example: I click a navigation button to get at the CSS but it's not clear to me from DW's interface in which media query I have to make changes. I did a tutorial on creating a fluid grid layout with DW so I can do that. But DW doesn't work the same way with an existing WP template like Skeleton. I searched the web but all I can find is help on creating a fluid layout with DW, not editing an existing one.
By the way, I am experienced with HTML/CSS but not PHP and I have a local Wordpress server running on my Mac so I can work in Dreamweaver's Live View.
The problem may be that I am only just starting with responsive web design and need some more experience with media queries, css rules and DW CS6. Could anyone comment on this problem or point me towards more information on the subject?
TIA!You can certainly use DW to customize a 3rd party WP Theme. However, you must be throughly familliar with how WordPress Themes work and have a good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP code. Design View will not be much help to you.
WP Themes are a sum of their various parts: header.php, footer,php, sidebar.php, page.php, index.php, archive.php, etc... The web server parses code from the various parts and creates whole pages on the fly. Once WP is deployed on your server, you cannot use DW to edit content. You must use the WP Admin Panel (CMS) to manage content, Themes, plugins and backup data.
For simple static sites, the FluidGrid Layout feature in DW is a nice starting point. But these layouts have definite limitations which, IMO would not be a good fit with WordPress.

I have no expirience programing on ABAP at all. Only in C++, C# and Java. But I'd like to start with making some simple programs. I have a book about APAB language and also I have installed the ABAP development tools into my eclipse. However I found out that if I want to programm something I have to connect to ABAP back-end systems at first. I am begginer and I can not do that. So can I create ABAP back-end system on my computer? May be someone can explain how can I write code in eclipse without connecting to the ABAP back-end system?

Plus, I think the interface for 6 is a lot less intuitive than 4.2, and it's trying to be too feature rich. Personally I would never use it as a code editor as it's too big and lumbering. For me, it's a diagramming tool, but it doesn't even put pretty pictures as nodes on deployment diagrams!! I want pictures of workstations, PDAs and databases!! Only kidding...
