Deployment based on contact engagement

I have seen past discussions regarding deploying emails based on contact time zones, but I'm wondering if Eloqua has the capability to deploy campaigns based on user engagement. We are really looking to make smarter decisions and increase our reach by using these patterns. Can anyone provide insight on this? Is there a way to set up some sort of filter or business rule to automate this process?  Thanks in advance!

yea. that's is not something anyone is providing out of the box. But, the automation aspect will let you achieve this. it will involve testing and learning. In your use case, you need to understand what times a particular group is being engaged. May be emails to your US contacts are performing better when sent in the afternoon, probably the ones in Europe do better in the mornings. Based on the tests and learning.. you can have decisions looking for country/region and then respectively send the email within that time restriction.

  • Can you customize your deployment based on VM name

I know it is possible to customize your deployment by mapping your PC based on MAC or serial number using the MDT database.  However, is it possible to do this by just the VM name alone? (I would think the same challenge apply to both ESX or HyperV).
If I could go ahead and create a serial of VM call VM01 to VM10, how can I have MDT deploy Task Sequence 1 to VM01 to VM05, while deploy Task Seq 2 to VM06 to VM10?  As the VM doesn't have any netbios name of predefine MAC address yet ?  Any idea
    would be appreicated

    Hi,
The answer is no, you couldn't customize deployment based on VM name.
Customize deployment by mapping PC based on MAC or serial number using MDT database is completely different with mapping PC name. The first one is based on hardware query, seconde one is based on software level.
As we know, WMI command can be used to obtain information of Computer Hardware, software, etc. While in WinPE phase, it only could be used to obtain hardware information, the command like
Get -WmiObject win32_computersystem should be works properly, but it won't be work if you try to obtain VM name by using WMI command, WinPE doesn't support these command to obtain VM name, it only works at host system. That's
to say, we didn't have method to obtain host VM name in guest machine. Therefore, if you try to mapping your PC based on VM name, it would be failed.
For more information about WMI, you can refer to the link below for more details:

  • Client based GWI - "Contact Person Sync settings"

    Dear CRM guru's,
We are using CRM 2007 SP 2 and client based Groupware synchronization. The application version of the GWI synchronization is 3.035. In Outlook "SAP CRM Calendar synchronization settings">sync tab>"Contact person Sync settings" section, I see 2 check boxes for "Contacts of accounts where user belongs to account team" and "Delete account on contact deletions when no other contact exists". Can you please tell me what is the significance of these 2 check boxes. Is there a way I can default these 2 checkboxes, disable them distribute to the users and  make the end user not able to change these 2 check box selections. Appreciate your help here.
P.S : I believe these options were not there in the previous version 3.027. Can I use the 3.027 application with CRM 2007 SP2 for GWI synchronization?
    Thanks!
    Vivek.

    Hi,
There is a way to do it, but you need to migrate to latest groupware integration version 8.014,. There all properties in client are combined in a form of profile, which can be automatically downloaded to each client.
It also automatically detect that if there is any new version of update in profile, and download the latest.
If you do not want to upgrade, you can check which registry field is controlling the UI for those 2 properties, which you can set or reset.
You can see all properties at location "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\CRMCalIntegration\SyncSettings"
And export the desired reg file to end user.

  • How about customer Alert Style and Repeats based on contacts?

In Contacts I can chose the "ringtone" and "text tone" to override the default.
I receive a text message from my company's pager system and save that address as a contact.
And then set a custom "text tone" for that contact.
So now normal test messages arrive with the default tone and pages can sound the "Alarm"
It would be nice if I Contacts also let me chose the Alert Style and Repeats.
(it would also be nice if Repeats worked at all)

You cannot add agents to skills dynamically; however, you can queue the caller into more than one CSQ based on statistics. You would use the Get Reporting Statistics and an If step within the Queued branch of your first Select Resource step. If the condition is met (e.g. Contacts Waiting >= 10) then exectue a second Select Resource step within the queued branch of the first. The contact would then be waiting in both CSQs waiting for an agent.

  • Removing Contacts from Multiple Campaign Canvases

    Hi everyone,
We're dealing with an issue on managing the flow of contacts in our automated campaigns.  We currently have 3 automated email drips that are based on the content that prospects engaged with to initially enter our database.  Then, contacts flow into the next canvas based on internal prioritization of the tracks.  However, we also run a new thematic campaign every quarter that has fresh content and pulls contacts out of our automated programs based on Title, Engagement, Industry, etc.
The problem is that every time we launch a new thematic campaign, we're forced to go back into our automated drip programs and add shared filters based on the new campaign's criteria before each email step.
My idea is to have the newly segmented contacts enter a program that checks what other campaign canvases they are in and then remove them.  This would solve our issue of having contacts in multiple campaigns at the same instance, which would allow us to easily transfer newly engaged contacts into our quarterly thematic campaign.
Am I thinking about this in the correct way?  Can you remove contacts from specific canvases in Program Builder?
    Thanks,
    Parker

Need more info...what application/applications are you presently syncing contacts with? OS on your computer? Are you syncing contacts over the air? Are your contacts correct on your computer?

  • Few basic questions on deployment

    Hi Experts,
I have never worked on deployment. Hence have some few basic/conceptual questions.
    1. Can I run just deployment (heuristics/optimiser) without running SNP planning?
    2. Does deployment run change/modify the SNP orders created? If yes, then what are the paramenters that deployment run changes (order date, qty, from/to location etc)? Does deployment run create new/fresh orders also?
    3. What is the difference between deployment heuristics run and deployment optimiser run?
    4. What is the disadvantage to have just SNP planning run and dont have deployment runs?
    Regards
    Manotosh

    Hi Manotosh,
    Please find my responses below
    1. Can I run just deployment (heuristics/optimiser) without running SNP planning?
Any distribution demand based deployment (pull dep /push strategies that deploy based on demand) needs a demand propagation run like heuristic or a planning run like optimizer. If you are using Push strategies that do not consider demands like (push by quota) you do not need a preceding heuristic run. Deployment optimizer does not need a heuristic run. Real time deployment does not need a heuristic run.
    2. Does deployment run change/modify the SNP orders created? If yes, then what are the paramenters that deployment run changes (order date, qty, from/to location etc)? Does deployment run create new/fresh orders also?
There are 3 modes available in deployment (/sapapo/SNP02)
DO NOT CHANGE mode - This is just simulation of deployment results. orders are not created.
REDUCE mode - Heuristic orders are reduced to the extent of orders confirmed by deployment. Unconfirmed heuristic orders are not deleted.
DELETE mode - Unconfirmed heuristic orders are deleted.
Deployment heuristic only confirms heuristic orders ( some exceptions are push deployment wuth push by quots strategy as explianed above). Real time deployment /Deployment optimizer can create fresh orders.
    3. What is the difference between deployment heuristics run and deployment optimiser run?
Deployment optimizer works based on costs and tries to generate the cost optimal solution for stock transfers.
It is similar to SNP optimizer but it does not created pur reqs or plnd orders only stock transfers. Dep optimizer does not require a preceding heuristic run.
Dep heuristic does not work based on costs bust based on the actual distribution demand propagated by heuristic and based on target stock reqmt & the pull /push /fairshare strategies...
    4. What is the disadvantage to have just SNP planning run and dont have deployment runs?
SNP planning run (heuristic) is un constrained planning, the stock transfers are created to the extent of net requiremetns without considering the stock/capacity avaiablity at source, so it cannot be executed. A process like deployment is required to check how much of the heuristic orders can actually be executed considering executable receipts.
Optimizer does not require deployment as such because it considers available receipts (constrained planning). You can directly execute optimizer results. SOme scenarios you may need Deployment & optimizer runs together.
For example if you take weekly optimizer runs which create /stock transfers planned orders but you want to move stocks every day based on actually completed production. Then you can run deployment every day based on receipts actually available.

    Ashok

  • How to create a security role to delegate package creation and deployment?

    Hi,
I am new to SCCM 2012 and I would like to delegate packaging and deployment based on an AD container and user. For example, I have a US-SCCM-Admin account created in the US OU in Active Directory. I also have computers in the US Computers OU in AD. I am
not sure what settings I need so that the US-SCCM-Admin account only has rights to create and deploy packages to the US OU and no where else? I added US-SCCM-Admin security group from AD to the "Administrative Users" group in SCCM. But now I need
to configure a role for this group but I am not sure which one to copy or import? I tried copying the "Application Deployment Manager" role and renaming it appropriately but when I login to SCCM as this user, they dont have the option to create or
deploy packages? Does anyone have a simple step by step on this or explanation on what to do to delegate package creation and deployment based on the user in an AD group? TIA

The Application Deployment Manager role is only allowed to deploy an already existing application. You would have to use the
    Application Administrator role instead.
