Deployment Error in Web DynPro

Hi,
I m getting the following error when i deploy any WD Application. J2EE engine is running and i changed the Visual Admin password from abcd1234 to new password.
After this, I am getting this error. It says User authenitication failed.

Caught exception while checking the login credentials for SAP J2EE Engine. Check whether the SAP J2EE Engine is up and running.
com.sap.engine.deploy.manager.DeployManagerException: ERROR: Cannot connect to Host: [compName] with user name: [Administrator]
                    Check your login information.
                    Exception is:
com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NamingException: Exception while trying to get InitialContext. [Root exception is com.sap.engine.services.security.exceptions.BaseLoginException: Cannot authenticate the user.]

Hi yuhuiliu,
The J2EE Engine GUI Config Tool is used for global settings of the server and the clusters of SAP WAS, it enables offline configuration of J2EE Engine cluster elements concerning services and managers properties, adding new server processes, changing Java parameters, exporting the system configuration to an XML file, and so on.
Also you can go and edit the global JAVA setting of the server as well, like the heap size of JVM, global variables etc.
On the other hand Visual administratpr is used for more application specific settings, like security settings, application listings, etc.

The tools I using to Deploy is
SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. and I'm follow the tutorial from it, I have enter the sdm password and operate the delopyment, but when it create the ear file, then the error have occur and catch the error about:

I have try to login as j2eadm to operate the deployment, but the error message is same.
as you say, the user "SDM" or "J2EE_ADMIN" user account I haven't find in my windows XP.
and one more question, does the project need to deploy success then the web page "Web Dynpro Content Administrator" could find the project?
lastly, I have try to login to SDM by using the SAP given program C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program\RemoteGui for testing, It was success. and does the default SDM account could change the permission by different password?

Deployment error for Web Dynpro application

Hello, I have developed a new Web Dynpro Welcome application in my local system, which is my laptop. I have both the NW Dev Studio and the app server on my laptop.
When I try to deploy and run the application I get the below error. As far I am concerned I have logged in as j2eadm user and trying to deploy.

The error may be due to :
1)some dependent dc's are not deployed on the server .Please do deploy it first.
2) some ear with the same name is already existing on the server.So it is not able to deploy this one. For this one , the solution is change the application name and component name and deploy again.Hope this will work out.

I read in some palce that upgrading the sap GUI resolve the problem but I have the 710 version sap GUI (I suppose it's the last version) but this do not resolve the problem.

Problem with deployment [credentials error] in Web Dynpro

Hi all,
Suddenly I was not able to deploy anymore.
I am using SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, Version: 7.0.11, Build id: 200702010238.
For deployment I log with user SDM and some password. The Visual Admin wanted to change the Administrator's password and since then I am not able to deploy my project in Web Dynpro.
I am a little confused actually how changing Administrator's password and not changing SDM's password would lead to such an issue.
I will highly appreciate if somebody could give me a clue about a solution!

Do the following Steps,
Use the Config Tool to change the entry in secure storage as follows:
1. Start the Config Tool.
(Execute <SAPj2eeEngine_install_dir> \configtool\configtool.bat.)
2. Select the secure store node.
The configuration for the secure storage in the file system appears.
3. Select the admin/password/<SID> entry.
4. Enter the administrator user's new password in the "Value" field and choose "Add".
5. Choose "File" --> "Apply" to save the data.
Note: Contrary to the message that appears, you do not need to restart the server or cluster for this change to take effect.
6. Finally restart SDM server.
Then deploy.

POST Installation Error while deploying my First Web Dynpro Tutorial

Hi Experts,
I have installed the SAP SneakPreview for java stack on my laptop. Also installed NWDS 7 in the laptop. Then tried the first Web Dynpro tutorial in SDN. But nt able to deploy the Web Dynpro application. My SDM, dispatcher and server0 are running. Infact i gave the settings for the SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP J2EE Engine in the Preferences page. For SAP J2EE Engine i selected the --SAP J2EE engine installed on local host.(second option). Inspite of all these settings it is giving a deployment error. Please do help me out. Thanks a lot in advance.

I am having the exact same problem. I get the "Only Administrators have the right..." error. I even tried giving all users and groups I could see Administrator rights... probably not a smart thing to do, but hey its my laptop. I have XP Professional SP2 I think, and passed all the system requirements, and yes I installed the loop back adapter. I had previously had this same laptop to a point where I could deploy an ear, but the 90 day trial expired. I then uninstalled and re-installed. It is frustrating... it seems like it functions differently each time I attempt to install NetWeaver04 SP16. It would be very nice to be able to complete the ejb tutorial....

Deploying my first web dynpro java application through NWDS 7.3 giving error

hi all,
i am new to webdynpro java. i am basically a xi consultant, but due to some work need to work on webdynpro java as well.
i went through the blog Web Dynpro Tutorial: Hello World
i am using NWDS 7.3
i created web dynpro project as per above blog. on the last step, it says to deploy it on SAP system.
now i have access to PI7.1 system only, though in our landscape, we have ECC system, EP system, BI system etc.
i guess the above webpage is referring to getting it deployed on EP system - but i have access to only PI7.1 system - in NWDS 7.3 in window - preferences - SAP AS Java - i have added PI7.1 system and it is showing there.
now on right-clicking web dynpro application, and selecting deploy new archive and run - it is not deploying and the web-page gives error 404 - not found. The requested resource does not exist.
can the web dynpro application be deployed on PI7.1 system?
pls suggest how to resolve this error. thanks.

used the first option - Download latest NWDS_platform.zip release
the zip file got downloaded.
on trying to install through IDEsetup.exe - now i am getting error in installation - The installer cannot run in the 32-bit sub-system on a 64-bit architecture.
how to solve this error - i tried installing jdk-6u7-windows-x64.exe and jdk-6u18-windows-x64.exe - but still the error remains same.
So how to install NWDS7.1 on my system? please tell. thanks.

SDM Password issue and errors for Web Dynpro Deployment

Hi,
After checking on SDN with regards to SDM Password and issue, I wonder what is the REAL default password for SDM when deploying web dynpro application.
Some mentioned it's "sdm".
Some mentioned it's "admin"
If refer to documentation (from Sneak Preview SAP Netweaver 2004), it's "abcd1234".
Anyhow, it accepted "admin" for my case, but I got an error when I click on "Deploy New Archive & Run". Hope someone can help me on this error. The error message as below:

Deployment exception : The deployment of at least one item aborted
Another issue is, although i am not able to deploy successfully (not even once), but if i click on "Run", it will launch browser, and the web dynpro program is works. Problem is, it's the old version. It deosn't display the latest version.
Can any guru out there explain and provide solution?

Error message sounds like "Administrators have the right to perform this operation". do you have admin rights? for deploying.

hi Anubha:
This isnt a web dynpro error. This is an error regarding the java installtion of your machine. I guess there is a mis match between the JDK and the JRE verions installed. Kindly uninstall the jre and jdk and freshly install jdk 1.4.2_10 and let me know what happens.

Deploying problem of web dynpro java application

I have a web dynpro java application with no problem about deploying.
I copied this application with another name.
I tryed new application to deploy but sdm aborted with error.

Hi,
Since the exception says "Are all referenced components deployed and available on the engine?"
Check wether any DC is used as a used DC in the webdynpro component which you are deploying.
If any used DC is available try to deploy that DC in the server and then deploy ur webdynpro application.
If all reference DC's are avialable in server, still if you get this error try to rename the component and reload+rebuild the project and deploy it.

I have created a Web Dynpro App with a Adobe Form as the frontend. I have included the caf/eu/gp/api as a DC and implemented the IGPWebDynproCO interface. Next I created a Web Dynpro Callable object in GP and ran a test and received the following error:
Result: Technical Exception
Details: Could not create web dynpro callable object component
Output Parameters
Callable object implementation did not return output parameters
Can anyone help me resolve this? Do I have to make a manual entry in the HOST file? If so, what is that entry? Are there alternatives?

Hi,
For creating WD callable object you need to add following three DC in your WD DC project.
In the Web Dynpro Explorer of the Web Dynpro Perspective, expand the node DC MetaData -> DC Definition, and select Used DCs.
a.      To create a DC dependency, open the context menu and choose Add Used DC.
b.      Select Local Development -> SAP-EU -> caf/eu/gp/api/wd -> DC MetaData -> Public Parts -> GPWebDynproCO. For Dependency Type, select Build Time, Design Time, and Run Time. Choose weak from the dropdown list.
c.      Repeat the previous step to define a dependency to DCs SAP-EU-> caf/eu/gp/api (public part external) and SAP-JEE -> com.sap.security.api.sda (public part default).
You need to do one more thing like bellow.
Select your Web Dynpro project and open its context menu. Choose Properties.
1. Choose Web Dynpro References -> Library References.
2. Add a reference for library caf/eu/gp/api.

Unable to resolve the classpath error in Web Dynpro DC

While building a new Web Dynpro DC we got the following build errors:
The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for com.sap.security.api.IUser. Fix the classpath then try rebuilding this project. ND1_MTRACK_DTrvlMgmtmindtree.com
We have already added the external jar files by following the steps mentioned in this blog /people/marion.schlotte/blog/2007/12/19/simplify-dc-structures-for-external-libraries
The respective dependancy of the J2EE library dc was added to the WD component but the issue still persists.
Please help us in resolving this error.

Hi,
Add additional info including the ST22 dump for security you can run find and replace in the st22 dump text and relplace ahost name and sid.
Also when do you get this dump exactly i.e. what are you doing or how are you accessing the webdynpro for the error to be generated.
What is your system patch and kernel levels.
Please provide more information otherwise this is just a guessing game.
