Deployment Error
My datasource is MySql. When I try to deploy the application I get the following error:
javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: javax.faces.FacesException: java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause: null
What am i doing wrong???
Your JSP and Java source file would be helpful.

Deployment error while deploying targeters in BCC
Hi,
I am trying to create a targeter with content groups and media internal texts. Whenever i deploy a project with these assets, i get deployment error.
It says "Deployment '169200010' to target 'production' encountered a system level deployment error during data transfer. An automatic rollback deployment has successfully occurred, preserving the state of target 'production'. Click 'Resume' to re-attempt the deployment."
I checked for the VFS set up for targeters and content groups and they are in place.
There are 3 assets in the project. It says the asset already exists
The error log below : I am struck up here and not able to take any step further. Please share your inputs on this

SOURCE EXCEPTION:yes i checked. To clear this out, i created a new project with new set of content groups and targeters.
It throws this error. I get this error at 30% of deployment

I have set the ORACLE_HOME that points to SOA install directory i.e.
C:\Documents and Settings>echo %ORACLE_HOME%
C:\Oracle_Software\1013\soa
One more thing is that if I install the Developer Version and even though the ORACLE_HOME is not set this works fine i.e. DocumentReview it's only that in the Midtier install version it doesn't work.
The BPELProcess gets deployed and even the task is assigned but when logging into worklist and selecting the task I see the following error:
Not Found
The requested URL /default/DocumentReview/1.0/DocumentReview/DocumentReview.jsp was not found on this server.

It's because at deployment time I get that security error and parent application not found and it never deploys the jsp's. Now in the logs I don't see anything. It's only in JDeveloper I see those errors at deployment time. Here is the domain.log:

Now even though the log says process deployed successfully it only deploys the BPEL Process but no jsp forms deployed. I hope there's nothing special we have to do. This issue can be recreated by installing the Midtier version of SOA and configure it with OID and then try deploying DocumentReview Process provided in the demos.
I hope I have provided all the information.

Deployment error while running the application
Hi Every body,
I am new to JEE though an old pro at JDK.I have also worked on tomcat.
I have got Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 installed with NetBeans 6.1 on winXP.
I am trying to create a EJB app-client module.I even tried to run the sample application AnnotationOverrideInterceptor given in NetBeans . Every thing goes fine.The Build is also Successful but when i run it, i recieve the error message Deployment error .The module has not been deployed.

I am able to over deployment problem. It was due to some error in code of view i created. because of that, it was giving deployment error.
Now, when i goto NWA->Configuration -> Process and Task -> Process Repository, I can see my deployed DC's. When i select my process and go to start process, Start Process button is blurred (means read only). Can you please help me on this?

Deployment error in JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 when deploying 11.1.1.3 application
We have built a bpm application using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3. Now we have upgraded the server to new version 11gR3 and have also upgraded our jdeveloper to 11.1.1.4.
We have opened in Jdeveloper(11.1.1.4) the exisitng bpm application developed in older version (11.1.1.3) and when trying to deploy the application to the 11gR3 server getting the following deployment error in jdeveloper:

This deployment error is happening only when the UI project is deployed along with the composite. When I open the Project Properties --> Library, I notice that a Library "ALE Component" is displayed in exclamation. Even after removing this library I am getting the same deployment error. Will be grateful if any help is suggested to this issue.Yes, you need to update the library reference apparently. (I just started again.)

Please try printing the cause for the exception in your catch block using 'wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("ERROR::CAUSE ::"+e.getCause());'.
This might show you a message like 'jcoClientConnection couldn't be created' and 'Please assure that you have configured the RFC connections and/or logical System Name properly for this model'.
And from your previous post webdynpro application deploy error...', I understand that your jco has been created in the proper way. <b>If this is the case</b>, My Guess is :
Please check what kind of user authentication your jco for Application data (Model Data) uses. When you create a jco for Application Data, you can use the following methods for User Authentication :
- User/Password
- Ticket
- User Mapping
- Client Ticket (About which I'm clueless)
If you are using Ticket or User Mapping, the created jco won't have any userid attached to it. So, you need to authenticate yourself while running the application. For that you need to set the 'authentication' to true for your application and provide a valid user name & password at run time.

Web service deployment error - CE 7.2(CAF)
I am getting deployment error for CE 7.2 CAF application.
it was working fine. Suddenly with out any changes in the code or the web service, I am not able deploy the application.
if I remove the modeled service , it is successfully deployed. But modeled service is required to expose the service for other applications.
any one have suggestions? does this is a problem from J2EE engine? any authentication problems??

Can anyone help me? The deployment trace looks like there is a problem with the serialization framework. But my DO is totally Serializable, meaning all referencing interfaces and classes implement Serializable.

It's good that you have come to the cause of the problem by yourself. Yes, the Sun serialization framework does not support interfaces as web method parameters. This is "hidden" in the exception
com.sun.xml.bind.v2.runtime.IllegalAnnotationsException: 1 counts of IllegalAnnotationExceptions
I agree that it's not quite obvious from the exceptions in the Deploy View Console, however if you have had a look into the server log files (in <Install_Dir>/JP1/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log) you would probably have found more detailed information about the root cause.
Regarding the second issue, this is exactly how the WebService specifications define the case. You are probably right to some extent in your assumption about the WebMethod annotation, but the specs seem to treat it in a bit different way. See Web Services. The bottom line is that all public methods except those annotated with @WebMethod(exclude=true) will be exposed as web service operations.

It seems u dont have the correct sdm password or someone has changed the sdm password.It has not accepted the credentials u have given during deployment.
Check with all Sap enterprise portal settings in the prefernces/NWDS

Java embedding code in BPEL 2.0 giving deployment errors

I am using Jdeveloper and SOA 6 11.1.1.0.6 version. BPEL 2.0
When i use simple sysout in the java embedding it is deploying fine but when using XMLElement api in the java embedding it s giving deployment error.
Please suggest me how to make it work.

Hi i am using JSC2 update 1, but i am not satisfied with this IDE, Because it often shows deployment error when i run my application and really it irritates me. Till Now i have downloaded and reinstalled it for Five times but it still showing errors. I am always busy with rectifying the errors in IDE rather than using it for developing applications. Even i have tried all possibilities to rectify it but it wont. Please can you suggest me a good IDE for developing Database based web applications. Its really tough to continue to work with JSC2 update 1.

This is the error i often get and i always use to rectify it.
1) I have stopped my norton Antivirus software and restarted my sun java application server.
2) I have checked whether there is any port conflicts by typing netstat -a on command prompt. But it shows that 29080 is LISTENING. but when i try it will show again the same error.
3) i have checked for usernames and passwords also.
I was left with only one option that is if any application is corrupted or not , but i dont know how to check it.
can i use any other port no in place of 29080 or i have to use that port only. please help me Roman.

Peculiar Deployment Error in OWB

I have a mapping (M_TEST_PROCEDURE) which has the following sequence of operators.
Source Table -> Mapping Transformation (Procedure) -> Expression -> Pivot -> Target Table.
The mapping validates without any errors. But when tried to deploy this mapping it gives me the following error.
OWB Error MappingGenerator.generate WBGeneratedObject[] in null or length 0 for M_TEST_PROCEDURE.

-APThe target table loading type is INSERT, and match by constraint is set to 'No constraints'.
There is no INSERT/UPDATE or UPDATE/INSERT anywhere in the mapping.
This really seems to be a awkward problem.
You can try yourself. Make a stored procedure (doing a very simple thing ... taking an input value adding a constant value and then returning that value back).
The sequence of operators used in the mapping:
Source Table -> Mapping Transformation (using the above procedure) -> Expression Operator -> Pivot Operator -> Target Table.
Try to deploy the code ... u will get a deployment error which OWB itself does not understand.
Any more hints of help ?
