Deployment of generated SDA file

Hi, I have uploaded a file in NW Admin. and generated a SDA file (file: MI25SP19.SDA). Next step is to deploy the file. Can someone tell me where the generated SDA file has been saved? and where it is possible to set this path?
I appriciate all replies - thanks in advance.
/Morten

Hi Morten,
Once you are finished in generating ..you need to save the generated SDA file some where...
You get a option saying that the SDA file has been generated and it resides in NWA itself, now you need to save it in any location may be in your desktop....
Once you generate the SDA file you get a link over there, just click on that link and proceed to ave the SDA file to any location...
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers,

    Hi
Check that your connection hostname, port & pwd is correct. Try with admin pwd.
In SDM, SDM Repository page, after selecting the file, the same page select third option (i.e update deployed SCA/SDA that have any versions)
    Hope it helps you

I already have created an sda file to create the database tables with its columns. This i have done with the Netweaver Dev Studio. Is there a way to create such sda files for the database content?

  • Remote Debug - .SDA File or Adapter

I have configured PCK Server and deployed sample Adapter. I have enabled debug mode on server to debug java code on NWDS.
.SDA file consists of .rar and inturnally consists of .jar file (JAva Application). I have manually build .rar from NWDS JAva Application generated .jar file, and also manually generated .sda file. These file generations are 100% successful and deployed 100% Successful.
Now I want to debug java code enabling remote debug, however, after I attached to remote server, it is not kicking java code even I put any breakpoints.
Server environment is on SAP PI 7.0 PCK Environment.

    Hi Ravi,
Could you tell me how did you achieve this? I am trying to do the same.

  • Many .sda files required,EDI,Seeburger?

    hi,
do we need to create .sda files using Seeburger BIC Mapper for each mapping and deploy each <b>.sda</b> file on to XI server using SDM?

    Hi Babu,
Let me tell you the step by step process of SDA creation and deployment.
    1) Go to BIC Mapping designer tool
    2) Create the maps of needed documents(For example if we know that we will be needed EDI 850, 810,855 etc transactions then we need to add E2X(EDI To XML) and X2E (XML to EDI  maps in a project
    3) Select that project folder
    4)Right click on it
    5)Create deployment (SDA) file.
6)Default name of the created SDA file is "Mapping_User.sda"
7)Deploy this .sda in to the J2EE side of XI server using SDM.
Now if you anticipate that you have to add some aditional EDI maps for transtions other then the one covered in the earlier SDA file ::
    1) Add the new maps in the old project.
    2) Create the new SDA file
    3) Again name of the created SDA file is "Mapping_User.sda"
    4) deploy this new SDA file.
    5) It will over write the existing "Mapping_User.sda" .
Hope i have answered your question
Let me know if you need any further clarifications.
    regards

  • SCA/SDA file

    Hi,
I do not have the authorization to SDM and so i am not able to deploy a DC.
How can i get the deployable archive of the project SCA/ SDA ?
If i want to transport it to the runtime system, do i need a SCA file or an SDA file ?
Is it created when i build the project, if so in which path will i find it ?
    Thanks.

  • Generated ear file has no file name

    Hi experts,
I need to deploy the changes made to an existing webdynpro project but upon generation of the ear file to be deployed, the generated ear file has no file name. The created file is .ear whereas the previous generated ear files have filenames. Example is test.ear. I generated the ear file from the webdynpro explorer, then right click on my project and click on Create archive option.
Please advise if there are any settings or configurations to be done in NWDS so that the generated ear file will have a filename.
    Thanks,

  • Deply SDA File

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy updated aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda file. I selected sda file from SDN GUI and clicked Next for 2nd step.
    Questions:
    1.
Is there any action i need take in second step?
Becuase when i click 'Next' button in 2nd Step, its saying like this,
"SDM has not calculated any deployment options.
    Possible reasons:
All selected archives have already been deployed before in the same or in a higher version."
    2. How to know List of Adapters installed in XI System?
    i viewed in this link
    http://starxi:50000/AdapterFramework/monitor/monitor.jsp
the JDBC has RED Color image.
    3. One more is there with JPR, what is that?
    Thanks
    Seshu

    Hi,
<i>2. How to know List of Adapters installed in XI System?</i>
    >>>One option is as you have already done.ie RWB->Adapter Monitoring. But this will not show Idoc Adapter and Http adapter as this is part of ABAP Engine.
In the Adapter engine, you can see all the adapters , those are part of J2EE engine.
Second option is, if you go to Repository->SAP BASIS 6.4 SWCV and inside that, you have Adapter Metadata. You can check there.
BTW, are you able to see , File,Mail,RFC, XI, SOAP, etc Adapters in the Adapter monitroing ?
Regd. RED colour means, check the communication channel  configured for that Adapter . And check the Error log for that. (i.e RWB->Component Monitoring->Adapter Monitoring->JDBC->Communication channel)<i>
    3. One more is there with JPR, what is that?</i>
    >>>JPR is Java Proxy Runtime. It is used when communicating Java Proxies and Integration Engine.
    For more- on Adapters etc

    Hi Dipankar,
I can't tell you the cause why you are facing this problem.
But I can suggest you a way that you can once again check the availability of plugins in your NWDS.
    Contents of  "gp_TopLevelDCs.zip" are
    <b>1) sap.com caf eu gp api wd.dcref
    2) sap.com caf eu gp api.dcref</b>
    And
    Location to Extract gp_TopLevelDcs.zip=>
    <b>C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.tc.ap_2.0.0\comp\CAF\SCs\sap.com\CAF\_comp\TopLevelDCs</b>
    Contents of "gp_api_nw04s.zip" are-->

    <b>C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.tc.ap_2.0.0\comp\CAF\DCs\sap.com\caf\eu\gp</b>
    <b>I'm using NWDS 7.0.06</b>
Just check if  this info can help you out.
Do make a reply if you stiil face the problem.

    any help would be appreciated
    Thanks,

    Hi Stefan,
I placed the SDA file in the JSPM inbox directory and the JSPM could not detect this file as hotfix. I am getting the following error, it looks like i need to use the Netweaver developer stuido to deploy the SDA files.
I am getting the following error even after placing the sda file in the respective directory.
No applicable development component(s) found for deployment in Inbox directory
    sappn5\sapmnt\trans\EPS\in.

  • Create and deploy sda file in NWDS 7.0

    Hi,
Could u pls tel me how to import , create and deploy sda file.
I hav got an .sda file, i need to import ,made changes to that nd deploy it again in NWDS 7.0
help me by providing some links or turorials...
    thanks
    raji

    Hi,
As i told you earlier, there is no option to import a .sda file in NWDS 7.0.
So you have to follow the approach which i mentioned in your earlier thread.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/profile?userid=3978830
That is the only way which you can do.

  • Deployment issue with aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda file

    Hi,
While I was trying to deploy above .sda file after adding classes12.jar ( for Oracle DB connection) to provider.xml. I have followed the doc to deploy external drivers doc available in SDN.
However, it was still throwing following error. Please update me do i need to change any thing other than provider.xml file in the folder of server of above sda file.
    Details:
    = = = = = =
    1) Error loading archives selected.
    /scratch/aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda

Manifest attributes are missing or have badly formatted value:attribute keylocation is missing attribute keyname is missing attribute keyvendor is missing attribute keycounter is missing(/scratch/aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda).
While I was modifing the .sda file I have only considered additional entry in provider.xml. I didn't make any changed in manifest or server manifest files. Those are remain same.
Please give me advice what would be cause of failure?

    Hi,
I got the same issue and i solved that the trick is instead of deploying as sda files i tried to deploy that by using zip or rar file type.
I am not sure it will work out but have a try of this one.
