Deployment Packages Distribution Status

Hi!
I have a package that was distributed to 7 sites.
4 was "Content was successfully refreshed"
3 was "Content was distributed to distribution point"
One site that has problem on that package is one of that 3 that has status "Content was distributed to distribution point".
Why they are different, once I have distributed to all sites at same time?
How can i enforce the status to change to "successfully refreshed"?

What problem are you talking about?
Don't worry about the states. I have no console next to me right now, but I think the difference is that content validation ran on 3 DPs. You can also kick off content validation for that package manually. That should update the status too.

How can I get rid of a windows update deployment package?

We are using SCCM 2007 with a primary site server and four child sites.
I created a windows update list with a source directory and package.
Distributed the package to my primary site server and then from a child site distributed to a long list of distribution points on the child site and three other child sites below it.
This all worked fine we used the list and package to deploy security updates and added to the list each month, automatically distributing to all sites and distribution points.
One month the distribution failed on one child site, all the other sites and distribution points got the refreshed package no problem. (Probably caused by the backup running on that site.)
This became a permanent problem which we finally fixed by creating a new list and package.
Now I'm trying to do a cleanup of the old package and partially failed distribution.
I've started by deleting the package from the primary sites distribution point.
Next from the child site where the package status is unlocked, I deleted from all the other distribution points.
The child site shows that the package distribution points have been deleted.
Unfortunately above and below the child site the package distribution points are still listed and locked.
(Looking at one of the listed distrubution points the package is on the server.)
Sorry for the big speech, does anyone know how to remove from the other distribution points and so be able to delete the package?
Any help or redirection would be great.

I acquired the hacker in January. In February both of my computers were destroyed. I removed ALL forms of networking from my house -- TWC, all of my routers and adapters, etc.
I went to Best Buy and bought a new computer, then another, then 2 more -- all getting hit with a prefab image upon getting close to my doorway.
I am losing my home, etc, because I haven't been able to work in months. This hacker finds me at the library, and wherever else I try to work, and he messes withmy typing, stalls my screen, empties my USBs.
I believe I am the victim of remote deployment, but how do I find where/who it is coming from?
I used my (corrupt) Gateway recovery disks the other day and watched how ActiveX and other rd tools were listed.
PLEASE, this has been going on for too long. After i gave up on computers, my house has been entered nearly every day. The police literally think I am insane.
What can I do to get out of this deployment?
Might there be a network in my home that I am unaware of?? If so, is it likely in the cable, the tv, the fire alarm, what?

SCCM package distribution priority

I have in my environment SCCM 2012 SP1 installed.
I created a small testpackage to test upload of that package to all my distribution Points, and created it as a Medium priority package. I saw in the content status view in the console that it was put "In progress" in a queue, I knew
there were other packages uploading to all my DPs. To speed things up, I changed the priority to High after a day or so, because I wanted that package to be uploaded first to all my DPs. No other packages has High in my environment. From the link below, this
would not affect the queue in SCCM 2007, because once the package has been created, you can't change it to distribute faster.

My question is, is this still designed the same way in 2012? Or will SCCM 2012 notice the priority has changed, and pull it in front of the queue?

I tried to create a package. When the create wizard is finished and I've clicked OK, then I can go into the Properties, and set HIGH as the priority.
Then I tried to distribute.
This is what I see in the PkgXferMgr.log on the site server:

It finished after a few minutes on the other DPs, I don't know if they had a lot to be uploaded at the time i started the distribution. But CM-DP-IRL-001 is clearly uploading other packages first before the one with HIGH as a priority, am I right?

Package distribution without content

Hey Guys,
I created some packages in SCCM 2012 R2 (really the old packages no applications).
Because this package is just a command line that runs I created the program directly without content.
The package was deployed and works fine :)
But in "Monitoring" -> "Distribution Point Configuration Status" these packages are staying as "in Progress" all the time on every distribution point.
I never distributed them, because they have no content. (The distribute content button is event greyed out).
So how can I make them successful?

Error message in distribution status of crmd_order

Hi All,
We are working on CRM 2007. After saving the transaction type in cRMD_ORDER the distribution status attribute in the status view is showing as "Error in distribution".
But still we can find the document being available in ECC.
Please help us in this issue.

Have you applied Support Package 2? We had a similar error that was caused by a program error that got fixed with SP2.
We got the error in SAP Note 1128686 which is due to a program error that has a correction in the note and also included in the cumulative Support Package 2 (SAPKU60002).
After applying the SP, sales orders created in IC Web now are in status Distributed Open.

Distribution Status Failure

When I open the SCCM 2012 R2 Admin Console and browse to
Monitoring | Overview | Distribution Status | Distribution Configuration Status
, all the DPs are banged. The MP is fine.
When I look at the associated asset messages, each of them says...
Upon review of that DP's smsdpmon.log file, the only thing I see wrong is...
I log onto the MP server and launch Powershell. I then run the following query.
Get-WmiObject -ComputerName SRVCRPNAME -Namespace root\sccmdp -Query "select * from SMS_PackagesInContLib" | select PackageID
Sure enough, TEI007C is in WMI but when I look in the DP’s SCCMContentLib\PkgLib folder, the matching INI file is nowhere to be found.
I can’t find TEI0007C anywhere in SCCM so there’s no way I can redistribute that package to resolve this issue. It looks to me like it’s just stuck in WMI but isn’t supposed to be.
Any ideas on what I should do next?
BTW, we’ve performed the following upgrades about a month ago. I’m only now becoming aware of this problem as I just found this view in SCCM Console. I might have been this way for a while I wouldn’t have known it because I'm very new to System
Center as a whole.
SCCM 2012 SP1 upgraded to R2
MDT upgraded to MDT 2013
AEK upgraded to 8.1

Incompletely deployed packages Errors While Starting JBoss and Errors while Accessing LiveCycle Services

After Configuring JBoss 4.2 for LiveCycle 8.2 using preinstallsingle.pdf documentation on Linux platform . Deployed the following Jars to Jboss deploy/
adobe-livecycle-jboss.ear
adobe-livecycle-native-jboss-x86_linux.ear
Statred the JBoss and successfully initialized the adobe database schema using browser. That made me sure that my .ear are deployed successfully. After configuring the DataBase Schema I am able to log in to the admin ui using u:administrator and p:password . However I am not able to see any services under the services tab in admin ui . When I look back at the Server Logs I see the following Error

App v package distribution issue to sccm 2012 DP

Hi,
We are migrating app-v 4.6 packages to sccm 2012 , after importing the packages when we update DP its not copying the dependent scripts inside the appv package to Dp and hence when application launches it fails to launch the vb script.
the script is made to run when shortcut is launched, but no vb script is copied to DP , but I have all files intact in source folder iyt just copies .sprj,xml,osd.
Please suggest how to make all the files in package abcd.001 to get copied in DP.
Does App-v package distribution is different from normal package.

Open up the app in the sequencer, add the file to your scripts folder. If the script requires to be run elevated, you'll want to use the Deployment config file and use Global publishing....
If you don't need elevation you can use the User Config and won't need to publish globally.

Software Update Deployment Packages won't distribute to DPs in ConfMgr 2012 R2

After updating System Center 2012 Configuration Manager to R2 we have problems distributing SU Deployment Packages to the distribution point. Some packages work on some DPs, others do not work at all. We are not able to find any pattern.
The Site Server and all DPs run on Windows Server 2008 R2 and the log entries in the smsdpprov.log look always like this:

The virus scanner (SCEP) realtime protection has been disabled. No backup agent or anything else is running.
We remove the packages from the DPs, waited until there was no activity in the log files, started distributing to single server, same result.
The DPs worked fine with ConfMgr 2012 and ConfMgr 2012 SP1.
I also looks as if the problem is isolated to SU Packages and does not happen for Applications or Packages.
Does anyone, have any idea?

Delete Deployment Package Correctly

I notice when I delete a software update deployment package, the updates still remain in the source folder so I manually delete that. After this, the updates that were in that package still show as downloaded in the console. I do see that if I delete the
updates one by one or by selecting all it does remove from the source and refresh distribution points and then the update correctly state they are no longer downloaded. Question is, when I delete the package entirely and then the source files manually, will
the distribution points be refreshed and content removed? Or am I doing it the wrong way and should remove all updates first from the package in the console, and then delete package?

Package Distribution Fails

I have an issue where large deployment packages fail to distribute to a DP in my environment. I have 7 DPs and all others are fine.
At present I only deploy software updates and Endpoint Protection signatures to my my DPs. The EP signatures distribute to all DPs fine but the large package I distribute containing this year's software updates eventually fails on this one DP. The package at
present is about 18GB and I have throttling in place on the DP during business hours so the copying process can take some time. Looking in the PkgXferMgr.log I can see everything going fine and then I see the below errors and the job looks as though it is
being deleted and the whole copying process starts all over again.

Backups run via a RSYNC process from a Linux machine at 7:30 PM every night which is nowhere near the time the errors above took place. However I have been trawling through the logs and I saw some very strange behaviour. Unfortunately this site would only
allow me to upload two images but I have screen shots of every stage mentioned below
I saw a job (J086A4LK) transferring the package in question fine. Although its status was "Failed" the state was "Working" and I could see data being written to the problem DP and the remaining amount of kbs decreasing as time went by.
Then at 8:55 am the below happens - A new job appears with the ID JS117W9D sending the same package to the same problem DP.
Five minutes later I now see two jobs running one with a remaining amount of about 11GB the other new job with the full 18GB.
Then later on at 2:21 PM the two jobs are there. The first job ID (J086A4LK) is now missing after the "Job" tag in the logs but it's clearly that job and it now has a state of pending and the remaining amount has decremented down to just under
8GB. Meanwhile the second job (JS117W9D) has been running too and has a remaining amount of 13GB and also has a status of pending.
Then five minutes later at 2:26 PM something even stranger happens. The amount remaining for the second job (JS117W9D) has been reset back to 18GB and the first job is suddenly deleted.
After that the second jobs carries on.
Any ideas?

Software Update Downloads to Deployment Package Extreamly Slow

Trying to troubleshoot or identify why software updates are downloading so slowly when creating a new deployment package.
I'm thinking this may have to do with the preferred distribution point and prestaged distribution point settings.
We have one Boundary Group for entire site and one distribution point group for the same.
Neither is configured for pre-staged.
It was my understanding that any distribution point in the primary site is already a "preferred distribution point".
Also, prestaged distribution point settings options are not really clear. If neither DP is configured to prestage, which option should be used for distribution settings? Manually Copy content is default, assuming that this might be the issue?
In that by Automatically downloading content when assigned to distribution points is adding that into the process of downloading to the distribution package... where it isn't just downloading to package at source location, but instantly copying to both DPs
in the DP group? This would explain the lag in the process i'm guessing since the "manual copy the content in the package to the distribution point" option would allow the download to the deployment package first, then the second step of sending
to the DP could happen after the fact?

Generate every hour event 2331 for each DP after Software update Deployment Package deletion

We have an organization build on SCCM 2012 R2 with 270 DPs configured with DP Pulls function. The centralized point contains DP sources available for all DP Pull.
We have some problems with Windows Update deployment package, and we decide to delete them. We first remove them from all DPs. After more than a month we delete the deployment package. From this day, we see that the SMS_Distribution_Manager service generate
every hour logs for contacting each of the 270 DPs to ask them for deleting the package.
Remark: At the time we run the delete, some of the DPs were not connected. After 3 weeks all of them were connected. A month later, the SMS_Distribution_Manager
generate always these events every hour.
Each DP responds with a 2331 event that seems OK. Every hour the system begin with two events (2301 and then 2300 for this package, after a 2331 for each
DP). All these events are also present in the application log of the Event Viewer. After the last DP connection that respond with 2331 event, there are no event that generalize a task for the package to definitively remove it from the database.
Could anyone help me to correct the system?

There are no error messages. There are only messages generated in Distribution_manager logs and Event Viewer, showing us server processing and network activity on package that was deleted over 40 days, and that happened every hours. The Microsoft support
give us directives to delete orphan records in 4 tables
pkgServers_L,pkgServers_G,PkgStatus_L,PkgStatus_G)
At this time the correction has positive effect.

Why do I get an error message when trying to publish animate deployment package?

I continually get the following error message every time I try to publish an animate deployment package. I have no idea what Poster3.png is. There is no image in my file with that name. I have tried saving my composition under a new name and it doesn't resolve the issue. I have no idea how to fix this.

You may get this error if you had done the following:
- create a comp and save it
- publish to OEM
- delete the poster in file system
- publish again
Workaround:
Go to the composition click on stage and generate a poster image from the properties panel.
Now publish again.
Let me know if this works.

Error invoking Package Schedule Status in BPC 5.1

Hi BPC Gurus,
We are on BPC 5.1 system and have been live since Apr 2008. We schedule all our Data Manager jobs (Import packages and other packages) every month using the Package Schedule status option under eData.
We were performing a clean-up of the older job entries on this screen by choosing the "Delete Job" option in Package Schedule Status screen.
A few of them got successfully deleted but then we got the below error.
"(RunQueryToServer)(GetScheduleList) An error occurred while getting a schedule list. The system cannot find the file specified."
We are now getting this error even if we try to bring up the Package Schedule Status screen.
Could you pls. advise if anybody has seen this issue and what was the resolution.
We are seeing this issue in our Production environment so your help would be greatly appreciated.

We had the same problem with the installation I'm working on right now.
In our case, I went into the SQL Server database for my application set and looked at the entries in tblSchedule. There were entries in there that were very strange in the "CreateTime" field. Dates like "2008-43-30 <time>".
We cleared out the records in tblSchedule and this solved the problem.
