Deployment scripts for ALDSP

Hi,
Are there sample deployment scripts for ALDSP which I can use? I have to deploy the application in an clustered environment. Please point me to the link if they are available.
Thank you.

ALDSP applications are packaged as an EAR. See Weblogic server documentation regarding options for deploying an EAR on a cluster.
ALDSP applications get configured run-time settings from the admin server <domainHome>/.liquiddata/<appName>LDConfig.xml - if you wish to overwrite those settings at the same time you (re)deploy your application, you can overwrite that file before starting the server.

  • Automated script for deploying, removing, install again the WSP using stsadm command line

    Hi,
Am having a requirement in my  staging and  prod  env. to add, install, retract and remove wsp.
In my dev env i used to perform with  Visual Studio ,so i didnt  face any issues regarding retracting and removing the wsp from solution store.
But in my staging and prod since i dont hav VS installed, i would like to have a automated script[ NOT in POWERSHELL] using stsadm command line tool which adds the solution from a folder [say D:\DeployWSPs in staging and Prod] to the solution
store  and installed onto a particular web application [  NOT "All WebApplications"].
and if  the wsp already exists , i need to retract it & remove from solution store and add it and install again.
can someone pls help me with the  automated script .also if  the folder contains multiple WSPs how can i doa  for each loop [ iterate through  wach ".wsp"  file and perform install/...task].
i know stsadm -o adddsolution, deletesolution,m retractsolution etc. But the issue is that customer asked me to do this ina automated fashion.  manually entering all these commands is a  cumbersome activity.
note: when i used powershell on 2 / 3 occasions, the wsp was retracted successfully, but failed to successfully remove from the
    soln store.
so i thought i will depend upon on stsadm again like old version of SP since its supported.
    Das

I would recommend you to use Power Shell so that you can do the automation easily. You can use
power shell for earlier version of SharePoint as well.
Look why removing the solution is getting failed. May be you are trying to remove before the solution is retracted. Wait for retract and remove the solution. Refer to the following post for more information

  • Merging all DB scripts into a single script for deployment

    Hi,
I'm using an Oracle Database Project in Visual Studio to store single scripts for each database object, which I like a lot. What I don't know is how to merge all those scripts into a single script now that I'm ready for deployment. I would prefer to give the DBA guy a single script with all the objects and not one script per DB object.
Is there any way to achieve this?
    Julio

    Hi,
I'm playing with this stuff these days and Yes, there is a possibility:
    Under Visual Studio:
    Open your Database Edition Project
    Goto "Server Explorer"
You should have previously created a connection to your Target DB.
Open that connection. you have a collection of folders.
Select/Open the Schema Folder, then the Tables Folder.
Select the Tables you want to Script, right-click and select "Generate Create Script to Project".
Enter a Scriptname and click OK
    That's all.
Going back to your Project, you shuld find a Script into your "Script" Folder.
The problem is that you cannot create separate Scripts when selecting multiple tables, as I stated in my Post "ODT lacks some functionnalities"
    Hope it helps
    Rgds

  • Scripting active configuration deployment location for an oracle module

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to script the setting of the active configuration deployment location for an oracle module?
I have executed the following which works fine but I can't figure out how to make it active so the module shows up in the control center to allow deployment.
I can of course do it manually in the design center by right clicking on the module in the design center, selecting 'Configure' and then (strangely) just selecting the location property which then automatically sets the active location and then it shows up in the control center.
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE 'MOD_EXT' ADD REFERENCE LOCATION 'MIG_EXT_LOCATION' SET AS DEFAULT
    Oracle module MOD_EXT altered.
    OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE 'MOD_EXT' SET REFERENCE METADATA_LOCATION 'MIG_EXT_LOCATION'
    Oracle module MOD_EXT altered.
    Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Brad

    Hi Brad,
before you set the location you have to set the correct configuration (in case you use more configurations than the default "DEFAULT_CONFIGURATION") as active configuration:
    OMBCAC 'MY_CONFIGURATION'

  • Error in OWB deployment Scripts

My OWB deployment scripts (the SQL PACKAGES created post deployment) are having errors.
When my source table, target table are in the same warehouse target schema which is owned by the Runtime Repository, the deployment scripts are working fine. But if the source or target table is moved to a different schema then the deployment scripts are giving errors saying - "PL/SQL: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist".
Please let me know how to rectify this error when my source and/or target tables are in separate schema....

The problem is solved. One more question I have, in the Expression Operator, we have two groups, the input group and the output group. But if there is a need to have some attibutes for storing temporary calculations as well, before assigning them to the attributes of the output group, then under which group should these be made? I am asking for something like a variable group where the attibutes for storing temporary calculations will be made and these attributes can be used by the output group for sending the values to the next transformation.
    Please help ..

  • Bpel deployment fails for all processes that have revision other than 1.0.

    Using: Release *10.1.3.3.1*
    Hello All,

         at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.main(Launcher.java:67)
The structure of our automated deployment script is as follows:
First, a batch script calls (Jdeveloper_BPEL_Prompt.bat) in order to set all necessary environment variables i.e. ORACLE_HOME, BPEL_HOME, ANT_HOME, etc for ant.
Next, the script lists every .jar file within the directory to an .ini file called BPEL_List.ini. Furthermore, BPEL_DIR, ADMIN_USER and ADMIN_PSWD variables are set and initialized respectively to:
    -     “.” – point to directory where script is running from because all the BPEL processes are located here
    -     “oc4jadmin”
    -     “*********” (whatever the password for out environment is)
We’ve developed a method to have the script prompt the user to select the target environment to deploy to. Once the user selects the appropriate environment, the script goes through the BPEL_List.ini files and a loop tells it that for every BPEL process listed:
    DO ant
    -Dprocess.name=%%b
    -Drev= !Rev!
    -Dpath=%BPEL_DIR%
    -Ddomain=default
    -Dadmin.user=%ADMIN_USER%
    -Dadmin.password=%ADMIN_PWD%
    -Dhttp.hostname=%HOST%
    -Dhttp.port=%PORT%
    -Dverbose=true
(What’s happening is that the variables in the batch file are being passed on to the ANT script where *%%b* is the process name, !rev! is revision #, and so on…)
The loop goes through each line in the BPEL_List.ini and tokenizes the BPEL process into 3 parts *(%%a, %%b, and %%c)* but we only extract 2 parts: *%%b* (process name) and *%%c* which becomes !Rev! (revision number).
    Example:
    Sample BPEL process:
    bpel_ThisIsProcess1_1.0.jar
    bpel_ThisIsProcess2_SOAv2.19.0.001B.jar
    After tokenizing:
    %%a     %%b     %%c
    bpel     ThisIsProcess1     1.0.jar
    bpel     ThisIsProcess2     SOAv2.19.0.001B.jar
*!Rev!* and not *%%c* because *%%c* will return whatever the revision number is + the “.jar” file extension as illustrated above. So to circumvent this, we parse *%%c* so that the last 4 characters are stripped. Such is done like this:
    set RevN=%%c
    set RevN=!RevN:~0,-4!
    Hence, the usage of !Rev!.
Below is a screenshot post of the ANT build.xml that goes with our script:
    <!--<?xml version="1.0"?>-->
    <!--BUILD.XML-->
    <project name="bpel.deploy" default="deployProcess" basedir=".">

    SUMMARY OF ISSUE AT HAND:
~ Every bpel process w/ 1.0 revision deploys with no problems
~ At first I would get an invalid character error most likely due to the “!” preceding “Rev”, but then I decided to set rev=”false” in the build.xml file. That didn’t work quite well. In another attempt, I decided to leave the –Drev= attribute within the batch script blank. That still led to 1.0s going through. My next thought was deploying something other than a 1.0, such as 1.2 or 2.0 and that’s when I realized that if it wasn’t a 1.0, it refused to go through.
    QUESTIONS:
    1.     IS THERE A WAY TO HAVE ANT LOOK INTO THE BPEL PROCESS AND PULL THE REVISION ID?
    2.     WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG? ARE WE MISSING ANYTHING?
    3.     DID WE GO TOO FAR? MEANING, IS THERE A MUCH EASIER WAY WE OVERLOOKED/FORGOT/OR DON’T KNOW ABOUT THAT EXISTS?

Only thing i can think of is instead of using a MAC ACL , u cud jus use the default class
    Policy Map Test
    class class-default
    police 56000 8000 exceed-action drop
    Class Map match-any class-default (id 0)
    Match any
    You would be saving a MAC-ACL ;-).

  • How to Enable Custom Java Scripts for forms in Planning 11.1.2.2

I am working on Planning 11.1.2.2 right now.
Planning admin guide says, there is no explicit requirement to enable java Script for planning forms.
I set simple alert to see text "Hello World" in function validateForm() function in custom/validateData.js file - to see and test that alert when I save data for my selected application/form.
Closed javascript file and workspace, and planning application web page. Since I have not to do anything new to enable this java script alert, I opened that form and saved data to see if I can see my alert.. I got no alert, except "data are saved".
Has anything changed since last version? Am I missing something? Or, do I need to recycle services to get this alert?
    thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, for your quick replies..!
Not sure what I missed, but I still have a hard time finding my "Hello World" alert.
    What I did, is here.
    a. Cleared all cookies and temp files from IE.
    b. Updated validateData.js file from ear / war files using 7-zip program at given path from your link.
    c. Stopped EPM services
    d. Dropped tmp folder.
    e. Started EPM services and let system deploy ear file (with my java script code).
All services are up. I can see EAR file deployed and java script file ValidateData.js has all my changes in new tmp folder now.
I am able to open my application and form.
But, my "Hello World" alert is still not appearing. Form is saved and saw message as usual.
One exception I noticed in my path. I have ....user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\.... in place of ....user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\Planning_0\.... in my path. Planning_0 is replaced by EPMServer0 in this version. Rest is all same.
    Any clue? thanks in advance,

  • Deployment question for EMS and Data Objects

I have configured tens of EMS and data objects. It's deployment time to a new environment, say Dev to Test. Do i have to manually create all this data objects and EMS in each environment, or is it possible to write a script or deployment script to do it automatically for each environment. If not, it will be a headache configuring all these DO and EMS again for eah environment. Please suggest.
    Thanks
