Depreciation Meter and Expired Qualifications

Hi Experts,
Please help me. I am confused on depriciation Meter. How it works?.
I have created a Qualification the validity period given as 01.01.2007 to 31.12.9999 and enter the depriciation meter of 3yrs. When adding this qualification from PPPM to person with proficiency scale, start date and end date what i need to give?
Also , Need a report on Expired Qualifications or Licienses? How do I generate a list of every individual and the dates their qualifications expire?
I have tried with t-code S_AHR_61015536 enter the Org Unit ID, when i execute it shows me a blank report with no list.
I need a notification or reminder for the expired qualification it should trigger to employee or manager. What is the process do we have any standard process in SAP?

The concept of depreciation meter is seen when we create the qualifications.
SAP glossary says that Depreciation meter is :The time period after which a qualification is worth half its original value
To give you an example
Assuming that we require the following qualifications for one to become HR manager in 2012
a) MBA from IIM
b) 15 years Experience in Administration
There can be a depreciation meter set saying after three years
a) MBA from any university
b) 10 years experience in Administration
The concept of depreciation meter works this way.

Hi,
Why do you want to trigger a wflow and what do you want to do with this trigger. Can you give more details of your exact requirements.
But, if you are looking for how to trigger, you can write a small ABAP pgm and schedule it as a job every night. THis job basically reads the table P1000-ENDDA for expiry date and if it reached today, then you can either trigger the wflow with SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW or use SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT to raise your custom event(for Business Obj. BUS7018, i think this is your BO and there are no std events right now, so you will ahve to add your custom event by extending BUS7018 to ZBUS7018).

Expired Qualifications Report

Good morning
I have just been looking at the "Expired Qualifications" report S_AHR_61015536 and when I run it all I get is a list of org units with their names but no details of which qualifications have expired, when , who has them etc. Am I doing something wrong or is that how the report works?

Hi Scott,
This same issue was happening with me and I did what you said and exported the report to Excel. It worked perfectly.
The issue I'm now having is when I schedule the report to execute in the background. The report runs initially and then fails and the status changes to canceled. What I'm noticing is that I run report S_AHR_61015536 - Expired Qualifications but when I check the status of that report using transaction SM37 - Overview of job selection, the report displaying in the job section is report RHXPE_EXPIRED_QUALI. I tried this transaction in easy access and it doesn't exist.
Do you know why the report S_AHR_61015536 - Expired Qualifications is cancelling when trying to excute it in the background?

How to get Essential and additional qualifications ,From which table

In one of my requirement, the report should show the Qualifications and Essential qualifications columns in the output.
Requirement is :
1. I have brought qualifications of Applicant from PB0024 table.
2. I need to compare these with the Qualifications maintained in Job for the pernr.
3. There are two types of Qualifications namely essential Qualifications and additional Qualifications.
4.
How do we get the Qualifications maintained for a job/Position?
How can we distinguish between Qualifications and essential Qualifications maintained for a job at the database table level ?

Actually i am doing a custom recruitment report which displayes several fields along with the qualificaions and additional qualifications.
For the two fileds: in the spec it is given as:
14.     Qualification (This is maintained in HRPE_PROFQ_TBJID-infotype 0024 of the employee. Thus, check Position maintained for the employee in P4002_OBJID, against this position check for Essential Qualification, related object type u2018Qu2019 HRPE_PROFQ_ESSENTIAL, compare this with the qualifications maintained for the employee in Infotype 0024, and display wherever these maintained.)
15.     Additional Qualification (This is maintained in HRPE_PROFQ_TBJID-infotype 0024 of the employee. Thus, check Position maintained for the employee in P4002_OBJID, against this position check for Essential Qualification, related object type u2018Qu2019, compare this with the qualifications maintained for the employee in Infotype 0024, and display all qualifications for which HRPE_PROFQ_ESSENTIAL is not maintained.)
16.     Proficiency (HRPE_PROFQ_PROFC_TEXT)
in clear :
1.       Positions (Object Type S) are linked to Job through relationship A 007
2.       In APDISCOM scenario, Qualifications (Object Type Q) are attached to Object u2018Jobu2019 (Object Type C) through Transaction Code PPPM
3.       Now, for a Job there can two types of qualifications maintained Essential Qualifications (ii) Additional Qualifications
4.       For essential qualifications: Against a Qualification we can maintain u201Cessential check boxu201D HRPE_PROFQ
5.       For additional qualifications: Those qualifications for which HRPE_PROFQ is not maintained
6.       Now, for an applicant, Qualifications are maintained in Infotype 0024, wherein the necessary qualifications would be selected.
7.       In the report for field of u201Cessential qualificationu201D, check for qualifications maintained in Infotype 0024 and compare it with qualifications maintained in Job (through Position assigned to the applicant in P4002_OBJID)
8.       Check for essential qualification HRPE_PROFQ maintained in Job and check whether the same Q is maintained in Infotype 0024 for the applicant, if yes, then generated Text of the Q
9.       If there are any additional qualifications which are maintained in the job and not maintained in Infotype 0024, DONu2019T GENERATE ANYTHING IN FIELD
10.   If there are any additional qualifications which are maintained in the job and if same are maintained in Infotype 0024, generate Q text under field of u201CAdditional Qualificationsu201D in the report
11.   If there are any extra qualifications in infotype 0024, which are not maintained in Job, then generate Q text under field of u201CAdditional Qualificationsu201D in the report

Different amounts of Depreciation in depreciation run and FS10N, S_ALR_....

Hi Everyone,
I have just done a depreciation run and the amount to be posted is a certain value. Now, when i go into either transaction FS10N or S_ALR_87012284 and look at the account range where the depreciation is located, i get a different amount. Does anyone have a solution to this? How can the amounts be different?i
This is really confusing me at the moment so I highly appreciate your coming efforts in solving this issue.

AFBP - Display Log
When you run the report S_ALR_87012284 use the option current book value
For compairing asset account with fi Use the report ABST2 - Account Reconciliation
Look if the differences is from his month or that it was already there
Search with ABST2 on this forum and you found more possible reasons for differences

Reading Report COA and Expiration

Hi all, I'm sending messages using COA and Expiration Reports on a temporary queue.
How can I distinguish between the two different reports I get?
I mean , the only differences seems to be the feedback value, 258 for the COA and 259 for the Expiration.
I'm I on the right way?

Actually I used a jheadstart template for my button and I forgot to remove this line from the velocity template
<f:actionListener type="oracle.jheadstart.controller.jsf.listener.DoRollbackActionListener"/>
which seems to have rolled back any change the user made and the values were thus lost.

Loss of Balance and Expiration on Display

Up until today, the pre-paid balance and expiration would always be on my main display as part of the banner on my LG Accolade. But after I did a *228 update (because I had not done one in a while), that is now gone and I can't figure out how to get it back. I really liked always knowing where I stood and having it right there in front of me. Has this capability been taken away? Or is there some way to get it back?
By the way, my daughter's brand new Samsung Verizon Gusto II prepaid phone does not have the balance and expiration banner either. It would be nice to have it on both of our phones.

Yes, I have often seen the Updating... on my phone also. But what had me initially concerned was that there was nothing there at all until I made a call. And then it showed up on mine again. But still looking for solutions for my daughter's Samsung Gusto II phone which does not seem to display anything at all even after making a call.

Meta and keyword options

Hi, I just recently noticed there was a keyword option in
dreamweaver. I understand meta tags, but is there any difference in
using the meta and keyword option? Should I be using both of these?
Also, should I type keyword in the value tag for inserting meta

A keyword option *is* a meta. But keywords are not used by
the major search
engines. They won't hurt, but they are mostly wasted effort.

Without knowing what is in F35 and F29, I can only guess. Your formula matches what you said but if F35 and/or F29 are the results of formulas and are decimal numbers (not integers), it is very possible that they are not exactly the same number even though you think they should be. IEEE Floating Point math often has very very small errors so the answer is not exactly what you would get with a pencil and paper. Try one or both of these things:
Format the IF cell as scientific. is that 0.0 exactly zero? I suspect it will be some very tiny number.
Type the exact same number into F35 and F29 and see if your IF formula works as you expect.
You might need to use ROUND on F35, F29 and/or in your IF formula to get rid of the tiny math errors.
If you search the forum for floating point math or IEEE 754 you should find more than a few posts about Numbers and floating point math. Or you can read about IEEE 754 on Wikipedia. It trips up a lot of people.
Here is a common example. B2 and C2 are from the formulas shown in B1 and C1. They should both be exactly zero, if done with paper and pencil. Neither is exactly zero (though I have them formatted with 2 decimals so they appear to be 0.00), they are different from each other, and subtracting one from the other is also not exactly zero.

Using dbca to create a db and all the users are locked and expired

I create a template using dbca on 10gR2 with schema and data and when I use that to build a clone on another machine the users passwords are all locked and expired. I am doing this in silent mode from the command line and I am looking for a flag that produces the unlock users passwords feature which seems to be there if you manually run dbca from the GUI.

This is a unix script I use to unlock accouts. I should notice this script is used for educational pourposes, in a production database it is not a good practice to leave demo accounts unlocked and overall with login=password.

I'm aware of JS API Reference disclaimer on page 277. I am executing it from folder level script. The script hasn't changed in 2 years and worked fine in Adobe versions 7.0 through 9.3.2. It stopped working when Adobe released version 9.3.3.
I can make the script do nothing but

so that there is no reference to the document after it closes. I still get a fatal error:

Followed by Microsoft Error report

Then Reader closes.
All our users have rolled back to Reader 9.3.2 and the problem went away.
I don't believe it is related to the location of the method ...rather something Adobe changed between version 9.3.2 and 9.3.3.

Change your settings in Sharing preferences, for one, and remove the server out of the Finder's sidebar. Obviously, this is the result of transfering all your other computer's preferences to your new computer.

qualification - it is possible depending on the way of the qualification integration used. Check documentation on system parameter RECFA HRQUA (found in IMG node description for E-Recruiting -> Technical Settings -> Set System Parameters).

Expired Qualification Notifications

Is anyone using a workflow or a method to notify manager's when his/her employee's have expiring qualifications? My developer is looking at creating a report, but my boss is thinking there is a workflow process that might be a more viable solution. Any input is greatly appreciated.
