Depreciation of Slow Moving Materials (MRN2)

Dear all,
I'm currently analyzing the way to create a custom report formed by two sheets:
1. Report with slow moving materials and with the correspondet devaluated value
2. Repot that show the overstock of the materials
Regaring point 1, I've found transaction MRN2 and it seems ok, but there is no possibility to input the stogare location, do you know if there is a way to do it or customize it ?
Thanks and Regards,
Fabrizio

Now I dont have all these fields toghether in any of the datasources..
What I need to do? Should I create new Datasource with all these fileds..
Has anyone done this kind of report before?
    Please suggest..

    Hello,
For slow moving materials , use can use InfoSet to design the same. The infoset will have 0Material on the left hand side and the DSO which holds the transcation data.
    or
u can install the standard content 'slow moving material' query and multiprovider 0ic_mc01.
You can get some help from there.
    or
try searching in forums with the messgae "slow moving items".you will get useful info.

  • BW Slow moving item report in MC46 (R3) Format

    Dear Guys,

    1) A Slow moving Item report in BW in MC46 Report format(R3).Especially the client wants the "Period:Last Consumption(Days)" in the input selection criteria. The Standard BW Slow Moving item report has only Mat.Grp in the input selection and Caldays(Period from-to) in the Filter.Would appreciate your timely help on this...

  • Reviewing Slow moving material and sign off

In our industry there is a lot of engineering type spares that don't move for 5 years + so everytime MC46 report is run these material are always at the top. We use MC46 report to give to the engineers to review the materials but they are sick of going over the same list and ticking them off to keep. Does anyone else have this problem?
I am looking at a way to ID those materials so they don't show up in the MC46 report so the engineers only get a recent (2 year no movement) report that can be actioned. Is there a way to add a "Review date" to the plant level of a material master and include the engineers username so we know who reviewed the material. We can then exclude these materials from MC46 to minimise the list.
The other option I was looking at was creating an new movement type called "Material review" and actually consuming and returning the material so it resets MC46.
Any comment to my problem please?

Your movement type idea could work but going forward it creates a false picture.
You could create a series of special ABC indicators and use these to classify the super slow moving items and set a review year (OK if they're that slow moving ?)
    For example:
    D - review in 2012
    E - review in 2013
    F - review in 2014
Another way to do it, a lot more intensive depending on the number of materials but gives you exactly what you want would be to create a prime variant, with super slow moving materials excluded and a series of balancing variants for these materials per individual e.g.  description = Joe Bloggs - review May 2011.
I think the ABC indicator gives you a broad brush, low maintenance, effective method.

  • Slow moving and non moving

    Dear friends,
Our client is currently doing the following process for inventory in legacy.
    1) XYZ analysis:based on stock values based on the Current inventory
X- is the materials having for high inventory value.
Y-is the materials having for mediam inventory value
Z-is the materials having for low inventory value
    2) FNS analysis:
N- Non moving materials--It is the list of materials of no issues for last three years but stock is still there .
S- slow moving materials --this materials are listed based on the average of opening and closing stock of the materials and 50% of those average stock and Slow materials are listed based on the those materials listed below the 50% of the average stock.
F- Other than those S and N materials.
    3) ABC analysis:This analysis based on the Past consumption , i mean this can be done through the ABC analysis:---MIBC transaction it can be done.
Please suggest how to do XYZ and FSN analysis in SAP,any standard process.
    Regards,
    Canand

    Hi,
for slow moving item use MC46 and in same you can do ABC analysis.you can maintain ABC indicator in MRP 2 view of material master.

  • Report on Slow-moving item in sap MM

    Dear All,
I am facing problem in preparing functional specification for a Z report. The requirement details are given below
MC46 gives me a list of all items that have not got consumed since the last period (defined in terms of 'no of days' on the screen before executing the report) This report  give  a list of items that have shown nil consumption in the defined period. This list helps us analyze and categorize these items as Slow-moving or Non-Moving items. The output is in terms of Part no and Part Description.
Example; Suppose we are executing the transaction  on say 29.10.2013.The system ,say give list of materials X1,X2 and X3 with nil consumption in the defined. The transactions suppose is again executed
on 29.10.2011.The report  say again give a list of materials X1 and X3 with nil consumption. The material
X2 is excluded from the report  as it might have been consumed in certain business processes(either issued to cost center or issued to production).
The client wants a report from where it is possible to determine a list of materials along with consumption
and the date on which the  material have moved out of stock for consumption. In otherworldu2019s we can say the report should give :
                        stock on starting  date(say 29.10.2013)
Consumption/movement in terms of date and quantity
The problem is that when the transaction MC46 is run the next time(say on 29.11.2013 or any day after
29.10.2013) there might be materials which might have got consumed in the interim period and therefore have got excluded from the latest list. We need to have a look at these interim materials to analyze their movement/consumption.MC 46  Report does not give details of openinf stock, closing stock and the purpose for which the stock have moved out of stock
The client wants a Z-Report which will give details about the material which have moved out of stock when the report will be executed ,opening stock, closing stock. The detail requirement are given below
The report will assist the client to get a list   of all such items with reference to a starting date and their movement in the period (period from the starting date to the run date)
    Selection Screen(Input)
    Opening Date
    Closing date
    Movement type
    Plant
    Output
Material nos(Material which have moved out of stock when the program was last executed)
    Movement type
    Movement date
    opening stock qty
    opening stock value
    closing stock qty
    closing stock value
I request if any one can help in preparing functional specifications.

    thanx for reply ,
but plez read the requirement above mention.i understood  what are you saying .

  • Slow moving stock

    Hi Guys,
I am wondering if there is any standard report or a table in SAP to look for 'Slow moving stock' ? I am trying to find out the usage/consumption of particular materials or when they are last moved?
    Thanks for your suggestions,
    Regards,
    Kelly

    Hi Kelly,
Please check MC46 slow moving items & MC.A (you can choose 'last goods issue' / 'last goods movement' fields from layout).
But there are several other stock reports. (e.g. MC50 dead stock)

  • Slow moving /non moving stock

    hi sap gures,
plz tell me what are the slow moving and non moving stock.give me SAP standard t codes for these report if its there in sap.

    Hi Prasad
for Non moving  T- code           *mc 50
    for slow moving stock T-code-mc46*
Materials that have been consumed little or not at all over a long period of time are referred to as slow-moving items
Dead stock is the part of your warehouse stock that has not been used for a certain period of time

  • Slow Moving Items in 0IC_MC01 Performance issue

Hi  i am creating slow moving items report (Report which shows materials for which no transaction has been done for last 3 years) on MP 0IC_MC01 in BI7.0.
MP is based on cube 0IC_C03 and Infoobject 0MATERIAL .
In query i put rowcount in coloumn with Infoprovider 0material with constant selection but i dont get the option "Display values not posted" . and Issues value and Recved value .
in rows i put plant , material and material type
n put one condition values for issued and Recid = 0 .
and in filter we have calender year restriction  .
But the proble is dere are around 25000 materials for each plant and its taking a lot of time to exceute for multiple plants for 1-2 years , can anyone suggest the best way for this report or how performance of this report can be improved .
    Help will be appreciated .

Its rather better to use infoset on 0IC_MC01 and Material than using MP. The performance issue is coming because of a join between cube and infoobject, which SAP dont suggest to use.
You ahve to use left outer join to get slow moving items.

  • Slow moving items report for project stock

    Hi ALL,
We are using project stock to manage all of our inventory. As the standard slow moving items report (MC46) does not contain project stock (special stock Q), we would like to develop a report then. "Slow moving" should be identified by material, plant, storage location and WBS.
Has any had this experience? What's the main data logic for this report?
    Thanks a lot!!

    Dear,
Do One thing.. First goto MB5B - stocks on posting date and select to display only special stock indicator Q (Project). By this you can abstract all Project materials. Save the output into Excel. (The main aim is first abstract the project stock materials into a list with a suitable transactions - MB5B or MB52).
Then run MC50 or MC46 using these materials saved in excel file.
    Try this.

    Syed Hussain.

  • Slow moving item analysis

    Hi
ple let me know hopw can i get slow moving item analysis
    i am getting from 2lis_03_bf.
please check below my requirement and let me know ur solution
    SLOW MOVING ITEM ANALYSIS
    (BI content – Infocube - 0IC_MC01)
Column E – Slow Moving Items Value
The definition of 'Slow Moving Items Value' is "the value of materials which have not had any consumption for a specified period of time, calculated by multiplying inventory quantity of the material by its standard cost in local currency".  The amount of time is 12 months for the Inventory Quality Assessment Tool, but typically 3-6 months for BU scorecard measurements.
    SAP standard report:
    Transaction – MC46 (Key figure-Slow moving items)
    Tables-Fields involved:
    Plant:                                T001W-WERKS
    Material:                        MARC-MATNR
    Material type:                        MARA-MTART
    Period last consumption:        RMCB0-ANATA (Structure)
Last goods movement:        S039- LETZTBEW (Structure)

  • Slow Moving Stock Report

    Hi All,
May i know the T-Code to list Slow Moving, Fast Moving materials & also for ageing of materials.
    Regards
    Rang

    Hi Rang,
MC50 looks at the stock level for a material over a period of time and
identifies the lowest level that the material reached. That lowest level is
the dead stock quantity as, in theory, that stock was not required. It
works on the principle that in an ideal world scenario you would maintain
zero stock sitting in the warehouse because you were able to plan such that
every day you receive / produce the exact amount that you require to meet
all customer requirements with no surplus. An example would be that if you
met all demand over a 3 month period and the stock level in that time never
dropped below 500 then that would be the dead stock level as throughout the
period you supposedly could have had 500 less stock and still met all
    requirements.
MC46 simply counts the number of days since the last issue against each
material - the more days the slower moving the stock.
Both the reports have value in that they can highlight problems which need
addressing - such as excessive stock or unpopular lines - but the results
they provide do need to be considered with a degree of caution...
Top-of-head examples could be that zero dead stock in MC50 is not an
achievable target if there is daily demand and the warehouse works on a FIFO
basis with a 2 day minimum to receive and then pick, and in MC46 materials
that are very seasonal will obviously show unfavourably at other times of
    the year.
    Hope its useful
    reward points if deserved
    Cheers!!!
