Depreciation rate change from a particular date

Dear Guru's
Can any body help me, In my plant machinaries working 2 shifts now it is working only 1 ****.
my client is asking can we change the depriciation rate from a particular date onwards. If we change the depriciation from a particular date what impact will be there, is it will effect old values ?
please suggest me.

Yes, we can change depreciation rate from a particular period/ year onwards.
For that you have to do configuration in Multilevel method ( T. Code AFAMS ). But you can not keep rate as per date. Suppose, for 2008, you want to maintain rate 210 upto 10 % and from 7th period, rate will be 20%, then

Hi Asset Master's
As per the leagal requirement client wants to change the depreciation rate from a particular date 13% to 20%. Is it possible? then how to change the depreciation. If we assign new key or change % in old key, system is calculating depreciation right from the begining (Previous values also re-calculating the system). Please suggest me what is the possible solution and scenarios that we have to follow.

Can date search help start from a particular date?

Hi All.
We have an application where there are 4 date fields.
These dates can range in past as well as future.
After selecting one date, others should start from that date.
But by default, it always takes the system date as starting point.
Can the date search help start from a particular date?

Mileage rate change from .40p to .45p from Apr 6 2011

Hi
The mileage rate had changed from .40p to .45p from April 6th 2011.
Currently we are in version 11.5.10.2.
How could we change these settings in Iexpenses?
As the mileage claimed between 1st Apr till 5th Apr should be charged .40p whereas from 6th April it should be .45p.
Options we tried to implement these
1) Overtype the mileage rate from .40p to .45p
Overtyping the mileage rate for the current period allows users to claim at the rate of .45p even when they raise the claims during 1st Apr till 5th April. It should not be allowed, how could we restrict that and allow them to claim .45p only from 6th April?
2) End-dating the current period with .40p and creating a new period with .45p
This works fine, but the problem is calculating the cummulative mileage. How could we consolidate the mileage claimed by a user for two different periods in to one and how the application will change the rate if mileage crosses the limit( 10,000)?
Please let us know how could we implement this?

Since the mileage rates got changed from 6th April 2011, we need to use the new rate(.45p) if the users raise a claim after 6th April and if they raise the claim before 6th April then we need to use the old rate (.40p). How is this possible?
We tried creating a new period from 6th April with the new rate and end-dated the old period till 5th April it works fine for this method. But the problem here with the solution is while calculating cummulative mileage for the employees (as the application does not consolidate the mileage claimed by employees during two different period (1st April till 5th April 2011 & 6th April till 31-Mar-2012).
Also we tried over-typing the mileage rate from .40p to .45p for the existing period but again the issue here is when users raise claims for the date between 1st april till 5th april they will be charged with .45p instead of .40p. (its overpaying for the employees). How this can be avoided?

Video frame rate change from video to video

when I use labview 2013 I found some strange in acquiring avi video
when I acquire video from my computer the fps change from video to another one
some video fps reach 800 fps and other reach 180 fps what is the problem

A lower frame rate is actually expected behavior if you are playing video through LabVIEW. This KB explains that LabVIEW analyzes the video one frame at a time and keeps it in the system memory on the CPU. This can result in slower frame rates during playback. If you would like to simply view video through your front panel, it may be a good idea to embed Windows Media Player in the VI through an ActiveX control.

I am calling an BEx Query to Crystal frontend.
The BEx Query has an Variable Input ( Date Restriction ).
The Varaible data type is DATS.
But when I am calling the BEx Query to the Crystal front-end this varaible data type is taking as "STRING".
I could not change the type to date at font-end as it is in display mode.We have refreshed the query but no result.
Is there any way we can change the datatype at front-end ?

Sample rate change from 44.100 to 48.000

Hi Guys,
I am preparing a sound design file for a film project. the audio files are originally in 44.100. Now, I am preparing the surround mix for the DVD release. For DVD I would need a sample rate of 48.000khz. However, when I change the sample rate from 44.100 to 48.000 in the Project settings, all my audio files seem to be shortened in the arrange and everything sounds as if it was sped up. How can I change the rate to 48000 without the audio files changing?

Man you have to convert the files to 48khz otherwise they will of course sound mickey moused and distorted when played in a 48khz project. You can easily do that in the Bin, batch process all your files and convert them to 48 using the "copy and convert" funtion from the menue. Compressor does the job also...

Bit rate changes from 16 to 32 when resampling...why?

I have a few DV Pal Quicktime Movies which have an odd sample rate - slightly above or below 48Khz - this is a problem with the camera which I know about.
So, I open the clip into Soundtrack 1 and resample to 48Khz then click on Save (not Save as) - this saves the corrected audio into the clip.
It also changes the bit depth from 16 to 32 bit which FCP doesn't like - does anyone know why it does this and how to stop it from doing it?
If I do other things such as removing background noise and click Save it keeps the 16 bit depth so I can't understand why it changes it to 32 bit when resampling.
The workaround is to Save As a Quicktime movie with 16bit selected or just bring in the AIFF from FCP but I'd like to know why it changes the bit depth if I bring in the whole clip.

I have had a similar problem in porting audio between STP & Pyramix, a PC based DAW - often files that I have exported from STP will be recognised as 32 bit files in Pyramix, resulting in gross distortion, and a totally unusable file. This is most frustrating.
I really have no idea what is happening, but believe it must be to do with the way STP handles audio. Another observation is that if you look at a .STAP file in windows explorer, you will see some interesting things - mainly that it is not a "file" more of a directory, containing for example:
a) the audio file
b) an effect file (if you've got some effect on it, or have spliced it etc)
c) a Metadata file
d) and a render file
Perhaps this has something to do with STP wanting to change the wordlength of the audio that it is handling ???
Anyone ???

Video Rate Changes from Cinema Tools to Final Cut

I have a problem that exists on serveral levels. Hopefully I can explain:
1. I directed a concert shoot with eight cameras. All cameras were Panasonic DVX100A configured for 24p Advanced except one, which was a Panasonic SDX900 configured for 24p (which I later discovered was laid down with a 3:2 pulldown instead of a 2:3:3:2 advanced pulldown like the DVX100A cameras).
2. It was planned from the beginning to use the multiclip feature in FCP to edit the footage.
3. The tapes from each camera were captured from beginning to end—about an hour each tape, four tapes per camera—at full resolution, the pulldown was removed, and the clips were then recompressed to Photo JPEG EXCEPT the tapes from the SDX900.
4. When I finally figured out that the footage from the SDX900 used a 3:2 pulldown, I opened the captured clips in Cinema Tools and attempted to remove the pulldown. The problem I ran into there was that CT can't handle files larger than 9 GB. Each captured clip (four of them—one for each tape) ranged between 10 and 13 GB.
5. My solution to this was to open each clip in QuickTime Pro and split the clip in half, open each half in CT and remove the pulldown on the smaller files, then open the smaller halves in QT again and join them back together into a single clip.
6. When I open the new master clips in Cinema Tools and analyze them, the video/frame rate is 23.98 as expected. BUT, when I import the clips into Final Cut Pro, the video/frame rate is 29.97 and I can't understand why. If I try to do a pulldown removal (again) from FCP, it doesn't work—I get an error that it can't find a clip with a pulldown to remove (duh!).
Is this a bug, and is there any way to fix this and make it work? I need to make all of the assets available for my class at school.

Material Master Changes in a Particular Date

Hi Experts,
We want to check, how many changes have been done in the mateiral master on certain date in certain login thru T-Code MM02 or MM17.
How Can I get a report of this.
I believe Table CDPOS and CDHDR is used to know the changes in the master, but when I am making a query, Table CDPOS can not be using as a join table.
Kindly guide me, full points for helping answers.

Dates receiving email has changed from today's date to thirty years ago

Hello, starting receiving emails from a government department yesterday (11/12/2014) and these are dated 1/01/1970. Can anyone help me with this? All other emails from various other sources are dated correctly.

If this is happening from just one sender then they need to adjust the date on their computer or host email server.

So who can tell me why my project in which all the peices are saved 41k are magically transfered to 48k when saved as an MP3?

Because your MP3 encoder isn't set up properly? Have you checked all the options available when you save as .mp3?

How we can restrict PR/PO/GR for a particular company code from a particular date?
I know PR is not directly linked with company code
PO can be restricted by deactivating the assignment between company code & plant
GR- we can use posting period option.?
Suggest me the best solution for the above requirment.

Obvoiyusly , you can stop the company code posting by not activating the month end closing of periods (MMPV) in MM and similarly in FI ( OB52).
By removing the assignment you can stop PO creation for the company code but you need to ensure that all the old, un-finished PO/SA and other related activities are taken care off before that.

Share calendar from a specific date

I am spending three months in the US visiting family. While I am here, I'd like to share certain calendars with my family members (doctor's appointments, social engagements, etc.), but don't want them to be able to see every such appointment I've had going back several years. When I start sharing a calendar, is it possible to only show it starting from a particular date? Or for a specific date range? I know I could create an extra calendar to use just for this, but I'd rather not have to do that if possible.

Exchange Rate to be picked up from MIGO Document Date

Dear Friends,
During MIGO for a foreign purchase order the exchange rate is picked up from table OB08 based on the MIGO posting date.Is it possible for it to be picked up based on MIGO document date using exit.We are not using Material Ledger.

We have the same issue about MIGO exchange rate.
We can change exchange rate derived from document date in MIRO via to using BADI FI_TRANS_DATE_DERIVE. But in MIGO we don't know how to change the exchange date from Posting date to Doc date.
We are using Material Ledger, so we can handle the amount of exchange rate diff. Anyway we don't want post the diff from GR and IV exchange rate.
