Depreciation run: Needs restart but asset shows posted while GL not posted.

Hi,
An asset was set up in the wrong asset class. The asset class is not fully configured. Depreciation ran in real mode and error as the accumulated depreication account is wrong and cannot be used. It says it must be RESTARTED.
However, the asset values screen for the asset show the depreciation period as Green, while since the GL is set wrong it is not upated in GL. We want to do an asset transfer to correct asset class BEFORE depreciation is restarted. But since asset things it has depreciaton posted for the month it keeps trying to do reverse posting I assume and errors on the GL account.
We cannot fix the GL and do not want depreciation posted for this asset class.
Can we recalculate or someway reset the subledger to see its not green and just show planned depreciation as amber again. At least then we can do an asset transfer?

Hi,
SInce the status is "Restart",all relevant data is already saved. Your only choice is to permit the posting .
Afterwards you can then do the transfer.
The only possible other solution is to contact SAP consulting, they might have programms to resolve this in the manner you want.

it's only possible with pop3 type email accounts not with imap and exchange
preference->account->click the account in question-Click advanced and set "remove copy from server after retreiving a message to what you wish it to be

I can understand your frustrations and concerns with receiving these unknown calls! I would love to assist you with preventing these types of calls.
Sounds as though you're receiving some type of telemarketing call. Although you're unable to add the shorter numbers to your call block list, you can definitely add your number to the National Do Not Call registry http://1.usa.gov/1whONxp. I hope this will help prevent those unwanted calls. Thanks!

Okay. You are not entering the correct passcode. If you forgot or it is not taking your passcode then you will have to restore.

Depreciation Run - Repeat/restart

Hi Experts,
I have an AuC asset (setup as investment measure), which was initially setup with depkey LINI (120 useful life). Naturally, after running the AFAB, this asset calculated a depreciation. After the calculation, I changed the of this AuC dep key in the master data (AS02) as to 0000 (no depreciation). Consequently, I re-run the AFAB for the same period, but the system issue me an error "Message no. AU133 Account 'Acc.dep. accnt.for ordinary depreciation' could not be found for area 01".
I also understand that 0000 has no account assignment involved. My question is : Are there any steps I forgot to be done for my change in the dep key be recognized by the system?

I came across the same situation in April month.For resolving the depreciation run issue I assigned temporarily AD account and Depreciation expense account to AUC Asset class.Then restart the depreciation run for March month Once the depreciation run was successful then again depreciation was executed in planned mode for April month.By doing this the amounts which were posted to AD and Depreciation expense account in march and April were offset.Then I unassigned the accounts from AUC Asset class.

We are implementing Asset accounting to one of our co code.New Assets were created in Jan and when I tried to Post depreciation for Jan, I get an error log that says "You can only post in new year after closing the previous year."
When i double click on error message.
Diagnosis
You want to post in a new fiscal year. However, a posting must have been made in the last period in the previous fiscal year before you can do this.
Procedure
Post to the last period in the previous year first.
So I went ahead and opened the previous year, posted the depreciation, closed the year and tried to post Period 1 again, but still get the same error.
Why do I need to post the previous period if I just created the assets in this period?
I Have completed AJRW, AJAB also.
I think it may be a problem with Table. Please suggest me.

1. Check the Last Closed year in your Asset Accounting.
2. Check the Last Depreciation Posted in Your Asset Accounting.
These 2 menus are available in "Data Transfer in Fixed Asset Accounting".

3 apps need update but dont show up

For several days now my iPad and my wife's iPad (ipad 3 w/retina) have had app updates but when we go to view the apps that need the update nothing shows up. The list grew from 1, to 2, to 3 as of today but still we cant see which apps need the update. The app store opens and loads fine, just not the updates.
I've read it could be a server issue but its been days, could that still be the case?

I think i've found how to fix this issue when it appears. Don't know what caused it to happen, but that's up to the devs.
In Thunderbird, you need to re-register http and https to make them open with Firefox (or open well with firefox in this case).
How to to this?
Well... open the about:config in thunderbird. You can achieve this by clicking configuration-editor in the advanced tab.
search for the strings: network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https and network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http. Set both to "true".
The next time you click on a link from within Thunderbird, it will ask you to set wich program you'd like to open it with.
Be Aware now!!! Firefox may already be listed in there, but don't pick that one. instead... choose to browse for the app and point to the binairy/exe of firefox.
(for example: /usr/bin/firefox or c:/program files/mozilla/firefox.)
You will notice that firefox now does open up with the page you just clicked on.
If it doesn't right away... just restart thunderbird and check again.
Please respond if this works for you too on all platforms. It's more interesting to know it does than if it's not.

I deleted all my artwork but it shows up on itunes NOT my ipod

Well I had followed this person's idea to add artwork BUT instead it DELETED ALL MY ARTWORK! BUT its still on itunes, but doesnt show up on my ipod..anyone know how to help? PLEASE
"I had the same problem and was getting the unhelpful error message "Unknown Error occurred (-50)", but I was able to fix my artwork. I believe this problem occurs when you manually manage your IPOD library (at least that is my situation) and your Itunes library and your Ipod library don't match. Here are the steps I took to fix the problem:
- First in Itunes go to Edit > Preferences > Ipod Tab > Music Tab and make sure that the "Manually Manage Song and Playlists" button is selected.
- Next make sure that checkbox for "Display Album Artwork..." is unchecked. Click Ok.
- Go back to the main Itunes screen and make sure your IPOD library is selected and then hit CTRL-A to select all of the songs.
-Next right click on the highlighted songs and select "uncheck selection"
-Now go back to Ipod preferences and check the "Display Album Artwork" check box and click ok.
Once I did this Itunes was able to optimize all of the artwork on my Ipod without throwing the "Unknown Error occurred (-50)". All of my artwork now displays when I disconnect the Ipod from my computer.
I believe that when songs are checked in both Itunes and the Ipod, Itunes somehow attempts to synchronize the artwork between the two. Removing the check marks in the Ipod removes this synchronization requirement.

Are your contacts using an iCloud account? Is this same iCloud account used on your iPad and iPhone? I believe that would be required to see the contact's name on your iPad.

Error in depreciation run - assets under construction

Hi!
Could someone please help me with the following:
My customer has a large amount of assets under construction (AuC) and also other assets. None of the assets under consctruction should have a depreciation key (or depreciation key 0000) and no depreciation accounts are allocated in transaction AO93 for AuC . But my customer now has incorrectly created a few AuC (that should NOT be depreciated at all) with depreciation key LINK. What happened?
1) Test run depreciation (AFAB) for all assets in period 1 during 2010. In test run no error log was created, everything looked fine.
2) Executed depreciation in background.
3) When looking at each of the assets in transaction AW01N I can see that all assets (both real assets and AuC with depreciation key) has depreciation posted in period 1. BUT, no depreciation has been posted in general ledger on any of the asset classes!
4) I have now changed the depreciation key on all AUC in AS02 to 0000 so that no depreciation will be calculated.
5) Trying to run AFAB again for period 2 but error message says that period 1 was terminated and that period 1 should be restarted.
6) Trying to run period 1 again in AFAB with restart but error message says "Account 'Acc.dep. accnt.for ordinary depreciation' could not be found for area 01" and refering to all of the incorrect AuC that I have corrected (to no depreciation key)
Please how can I go on? I want to reverse the depreciation in period 1 since I didn't get any posting i the general ledger. And then I want to make a new depreciation run only with correct assets (only depreciation on real assets, not on AuC).
Please help!

Spry assets folder needed! but not using any spry widgets, help totally stressed out?

l keep trying to set up a new site on CS 5.5 only to keep being told l need a spry assets folder, l have created my own folder named assets folder within my site folder,l have done a seperate folder ,l have looked through all files cannot find any other folders named this. l have downloaded sample files from Adobe & it still hasn't worked. What an earth can l do l'm sure its something silly as you probably guessed l'm a bit of a novice but this is driving me crazy & why do l need a spry assets folder when l'm not using any spry widgits. Any advice or solutions would be great.

Whenever I set up a new site, I use a "default" setup I learned from Lynda.com.
First a folder with the site name.
Inside that a folder named "www"
Inside that five folders named:
"css" <-for stylesheets other than SpryAsset css
"files" <- for anything that that doesn't go elsewhere
"images" <-for all site images other than SpryAsset images
"scripts" <-for javascript files other than SpryAsset scripts
"SpryAssets" <-Note the capitalization and that it's all one word. DW is VERY picky about this. This folder holds Spry CSS, Spry javascripts and Spry images
In your root folder create a folder and name it SpryAssets and DW will acknowledge it as your Spry folder.
Some people prefer to use "styles" instead of "css". This isn't a big deal.
Some people prefer to use "js" instead of "scripts" but if you embed a flash object, DW will create a "scripts" folder and suddenly you have two folders for javascripts, so I prefer to just have the one named "scripts".

Different amounts of Depreciation in depreciation run and FS10N, S_ALR_....

I have just done a depreciation run and the amount to be posted is a certain value. Now, when i go into either transaction FS10N or S_ALR_87012284 and look at the account range where the depreciation is located, i get a different amount. Does anyone have a solution to this? How can the amounts be different?i
This is really confusing me at the moment so I highly appreciate your coming efforts in solving this issue.

AFBP - Display Log
When you run the report S_ALR_87012284 use the option current book value
For compairing asset account with fi Use the report ABST2 - Account Reconciliation
Look if the differences is from his month or that it was already there
Search with ABST2 on this forum and you found more possible reasons for differences
